Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for March 10, 1997

Hulk Hogan starts the show with NBA star Dennis Rodman. They plan to be as bad as they want to be...later...

A white limousine pulls up, and out comes "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and his Family, who are now dressed similarly to Piper.

Steve "Mongo" McMichael and Jeff Jarrett finally manager to get along and not sabotage each other as they beat High Voltage (Rage and Kaos).

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who shows up with his Family. Piper says he's never seen so many pretty women at one place at one time, and when he was a kid, spring break meant the last spring in his mattress is gone, and that's how he has six kids. Piper says that Howard Stern is afraid to have him on his show because he gave a few guys a break, and says that Stern is "hung like a pimple." He also mentions Dennis Rodman, and tells him it's a kilt, not a skirt. He says Rodman has tattooed parts while he has metal parts. He also criticizes the WWF for saying they have no "one-hip" wrestlers at their pay-per-views, and admits they are right, saying they have no one hip at their pay-per-views, which is why everyone watches WCW's instead. When he was in the WWF and beat Goldust, he had one hip. (He also screams "Uncensored!" in-between jokes.) He says his Family has more guts inside of them than anyone else, and that he is no a fair-weather friend and that he will not walk away from them because of the critics. All of a sudden, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair makes an entrance, and he brings the rest of The Four Horsemen ("The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Jeff Jarrett, Debra McMichael) with him. Anderson says his Family must think a lot of him for letting them take the beating to enter the Family, and says they have a lot of heart, but tells them that this is a job for professionals, not amateurs. Anderson tells Piper that he offered the services of the Horsemen once before, before his first match against "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan at Halloween Havoc. He says the New World Order has gotten to all of them, and that the rule of thumb that you bash an intruder in your home with whatever you can when he breaks in still holds true. He says that they have had a lot of problems, and that maybe Piper could be the rallying point for the Horsemen, and that maybe the Horsemen could be the ones to help them pull this off. Before Piper can answer, Flair gets on the microphone and says he wants to stand at his side one more time. He came to tell Piper that he has broken the rule that they always live by: never overmatch yourself. He says that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan will come back and return with greater numbers in the form of The New World Order. Flair tells Hogan that "the stupid little man" wants back in the game, and he wants to stand with the Hot Rod as he offers The Horsemen to him for Uncensored. Flair hands Piper his jacket, and asks if he is with the Horsemen. Piper puts the jacket on, and says that the Family will have his back as he accepts The Horsemen's services.

We hear pre-recorded comments from "Squire" David Taylor, who tells Prince Iaukea that he saw how he beat "Lord" Steven Regal, and that tonight, he will get a lesson in the finer art of wrestling. Shortly after we hear Taylor's comments, the Monday Nitro Hummer limo shows up, as does the New World Order. Suddenly, another person in the nWo is laid out, and it happens to be Michael Wallstreet.

Prince Iaukea retains the WCW World Television Championship against "Squire" David Taylor.

Dean Malenko guests on commentary for the next match to show what "the true Eddie Guerrero" is all about, and says Eddie is jealous of him, that Eddie is not a true champion and that Eddie will not reach the heights of the Cruiserweight division that he has. He understands accidents do happen, but still thinks that Eddie tried to steal his belt and is a man who will do anything to get a win.

Eddie Guerrero beats Joe Gomez after he pushes Theodore Long off the apron. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Eddie after the match, and Eddie says that he is not the one who is saying he is a "new and improved wrestler" who punches, kicks and chokes uncharacteristically. When he asks who the one who doesn't seem like himself, Okerlund says it's Eddie. Eddie then states that he is sick and tired of his friends and family and everyone else in WCW of thinking he's changing. He is also sick and tired of Malenko blaming him for his attitude, and tells him that his problems are all on him. He says Malenko told him his gameplan, and if Malenko thinks he'll give his away, all Eddie can say is that he'll see him on Sunday at Uncensored.

Diamond Dallas Page beats Sgt. Craig "Pitbull" Pittman. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Page after the match, and says the crowd's appreciation for him is impressive. Page says the fans know who the real deal is, and calls out "Macho Man' Randy Savage. Suddenly, the power goes out, and Page cannot even be heard as the lights have went dark. Okerlund and Page conduct the rest of interview as if nothing is happening.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Chris Jericho! Jeff Jarrett! Eddie Guerrero! Prince Iaukea! An interview with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair!

"Mean" Gene Okerlund continues his interview with Diamond Dallas Page. Page calls out "Macho Man" Randy Savage again, saying Savage has snapped again and telling Savage he hasn't forgotten him. He says Savage will remember his name, and remember him as DDP.

We hear pre-recorded comments from Rey Mysterio, Jr., who says that it's just him and Prince Iaukea at Uncensored. Everyone doubted him in the beginning, but he's becoming a big star, and he wants the Television title. When he gets the title, he dares "Lord" Steven Regal to take it away from him.

Rey Mysterio, Jr. beats Galaxy.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Miss WCW Monday Nitro, who is supposed to be accompanied by MTV VJ John Sencio. Sencio shows up first, and introduces Miss WCW Monday Nitro Pamela Rogers to the ring. He also announces that The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) and Syxx will be the torturers on MTV's Fame or Shame next week on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd during MTV Spring Break.

The Giant, Lex Luger and The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Road Block and The Amazing French-Canadians (Jacques Rougeau and Carl Ouellet). It is announced that the WCW vs. nWo match at Uncensored will start out as a Triangle Match, and that more members will show up as time passes until all twelve men are in the ring. If WCW wins, the nWo must relinquish all championship belts back to WCW and cannot wrestle in a WCW-sanctioned event for the next 36 months. If "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and The Four Horsemen win, Piper gets a cage match against "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan in the future. If nWo wins, they get to vie for any championship at any time. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews the winning team after the match. Luger says that The Horsemen are a band of cutthroats with their own personal agenda, and asks Piper not to trust them. He says that The Giant and The Steiner Brothers are the reason why WCW will win at Uncensored, as he knows where they are coming from and know they can take it home. The Giant says that WCW can't lose with the four of them, and tells the nWo "Don't sing it, bring it." Rick Steiner says he's never been right before the car accident, and says that this dog will hunt. Scott Steiner tells The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) that they're coming for them. Luger says there has been a foul, repugnant smell from the nWo within the last year, and that victory will be indeed sweet as Okerlund puts it.

The Ultimate Dragon beats Juventud Guerrera.

Scotty Riggs beats Chris Jericho by disqualification when Buff Bagwell rushes into the ring and whacks Riggs in the back with a leather belt. Jericho takes the belt away from Bagwell, and he and Bagwell briefly fight before the latter man retreats.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Madusa. Madusa is sick and tired of other women saying they are #1 contender for the Women' title and can kick her butt, as well as managers wanting a piece of her. She says she's been there and done that five years ago, and says she will fight and beat Akira Hokuto for the WCW Women's Championship anywhere, anytime. She also asks Luna Vachon why she isn't here tonight.

Lee Marshall calls from Savannah, Georgia - the site of next week's Nitro - for the 1-800-COLLECT Road Report.

The Taskmaster and Hardbody Harrison wrestle to a double count-out, and once again Jacqueline gives The Taskmaster's opponent the beating of his life before The Taskmaster beats up Harrison outside of the ring before they both throw him in the pool near the ring. This is also the first match refereed by Randy Anderson following the suspension of Eric Bischoff, confirming that Randy Anderson is now back and re-hired by WCW. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jimmy Hart, Jacqueline and The Taskmaster after the match. Jimmy Hart says that when he's ringside next to them, he feels as safe as the inside of Fort Knox. He says the women of WCW are too afraid to leave the locker room as Jacqueline is armed and dangerous and because she and Taskmaster are too legit to quit. Jacqueline says there are a lot of women who are winter dressing, but she isn't because she's the real deal. Taskmaster calls "Rowdy" Roddy Piper the smartest man he's ever met as he's heading to a battle against the nWo unprepared, and tells Piper that thanks to him, The Four Horsemen have something to focus on. He wants them all at full strength, including "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Woman. He tells Piper and the Horsemen not to have any excuses on Sunday night.

The New World Order shows up. Once again, Sting brings up the rear. Eric Bischoff says that everywhere they've been, they've been partying. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan says "The Real Hot Rod" Dennis Rodman is a member of the New World Order. We see footage of "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan announcing that Rodman will be at Uncensored and Rodman says that the nWo is the new team of the future. We go back to the live broadcast, where Hogan says this will put a whole new twist on Uncensored as the most uncensored man in the world will be with them, as WCW won't know what to do. They then give Sting his colors, which they have forgotten to do until now. Hogan places the shirt on Sting, who does not react. The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) tell The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) that they know they're good, but The Outsiders are better. They tell Lex Luger and The Giant that they beat them at SuperBrawl VII, and if they want more, don't sing it, bring it. "Macho Man" Randy Savage and the rest of the nWo mock Diamond Dallas Page, saying he is a nobody and is definitely not the Macho Man. Hogan says there is no doubt in the world of professional wrestling that the nWo "is tits." Next week, nothing will have changed a bit.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock), and Grunge asks who The Four Horsemen think they are, as he calls them "show ponies" and says that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has a long, hard road ahead of him this Sunday. After Johnny Grunge mocks The Horsemen, Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) attack them to end the show.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for October 30, 1995

Eddie Guerrero replaces "Macho Man" Randy Savage in the next match following the aftermath of Halloween Havoc's main event.

Eddie Guerrero beats Sgt. Craig Pittman with a roll-up.

Bobby Heenan, who has left commentary before the next match, is seen sitting with a mysterious man at a well-catered table in the stands. After the next match has ended, we find out that they are having a business deal.

Scott "Flash" Horton and The Shark fight to a double count-out, but both men continue to fight after the bell has rung and take the carnage to the entrance ramp, and both men's heads are run into the steel WCW sign before both men head to the back.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring. We get a recap of Sting and Ric Flair vs. Arn Anderson and Flyin' Brian at Halloween Havoc, then Schiavone interviews Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Flyin' Brian in the ring. Brian brags about how they tricked Sting and got one step closer to making a new Four Horsemen. Arn Anderson tells Sting not to hold down his head in shame, as he fought two of the Horsemen for ten minutes. Flair says they are back, and whether we like it or not, the soon-to-be Four Horsemen are going to be the best thing going today. He then tells Sting that they'll be in the house next week, ready to go to work.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Chris Benoit vs. "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright! Arn Anderson and Ric Flair vs. The Renegade and The Cobra! Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) defend the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Blue Bloods ("Lord" Steven Regal and "Squire" David Taylor)!

Sabu quickly beats Disco Inferno, then continues to fight him after the match. When he puts Disco on a table he sets up, however, Disco moves out of the way of Sabu's springboard attack and flees to the back. Sabu loses it and starts tossing a set of steel steps around.

The Dungeon of Doom (Lex Luger and Meng) beat The American Males (Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs) with a Torture Rack to Bagwell after Jimmy Hart distracts the ref.

We see footage of the ending to the main event from Halloween Havoc. After this, Tony Schiavone interviews The Dungeon of Doom (The Taskmaster, Jimmy Hart, The Giant, Lex Luger). The Giant is seen with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship around his waist, even though he did not win the championship at Halloween Havoc. Hart says he'll say why he turned his back on Hulk Hogan next week, and says that The Taskmaster warned Hogan that evil was in his house and that it was him. He was The Taskmaster's only manager in his entire life and considers him his past, while he considers Lex Luger and The Giant his future. Luger makes fun of Hogan lying flat on his back, and tells Hogan he got a piece of him and The Giant. The Giant says he will defend the title next week with anyone who gets in the ring with him. The Taskmaster says he warned Hogan that this would happen, and that The Giant is a fighting champion.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for September 25, 1995

"Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright beats Disco Inferno in the latter's Nitro debut by reversing a neckbreaker into a surprise backslide pin.

Jimmy Hart says The Taskmaster is sowing the evil seeds to turn the Hulkamaniacs against Hulk Hogan, but Hulk Hogan says that he's back on track and he's coming for The Giant. He's building a bigger, stronger, better Hulkamania monster truck, and he plans to drag him around the ring to embarrass him, then put the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on the line in a match against him and put him in his place once and for all.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Macho Man" Randy Savage in the ring. Savage knows Luger wants to talk to him, and Luger shows up like clockwork. Luger thinks Savage has a severe lack of mutual respect, as Savage has had a problem with him since day one. Luger then challenges Savage to a match next week. Savage is up for it, and puts his shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at the ring, and says that if he can't beat Savage, he'll leave WCW. Savage says he and Luger have a deal.

Halloween Havoc is live Sunday night, October 29th! Hulk Hogan defends the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against The Giant!

Kurasawa beats Sgt. Craig "Pitbull" Pittman.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Flyin' Brian, who have been conspiring against "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Flyin' Brian makes fun of Flair for wanting one more match against Arn Anderson, and that they will exercise their rights to bear arms, assemble and hospitalize anyone who gets in their path. Anderson says he's known Flair to act a lot of ways in the past, and tells Flair that "if you jump on me, you jump on us." He also calls out Flair for having the audacity to ask "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Sting to be his partner after how he's treated them. Anderson tells Flair that what goes around, comes around, and that it's coming back around for him.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Dusty Rhodes debuts as a co-host! Johnny B. Badd vs. Sting for the WCW United States Championship! The American Males (Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs)! The Taskmaster and The Giant!

The Taskmaster beats "Macho Man" Randy Savage by disqualification when Savage pushes the ref away as he fights off The Zodiac. After the match, Savage goes for an elbow drop from the top rope on both men, but The Taskmaster rolls out of the way. As he does this, The Giant shows up and hits a choke slam on Savage. A few men from the back - including "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright - try to stop The Giant, but to no avail. Lex Luger shows up to give Savage the what for when The Giant grabs Luger and destroys him.

Meng beats Lex Luger after hitting Luger with a spike, unbeknownst to the referee. During the match, it is announced that Hulk Hogan will be on Nitro next week.
