Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling recap for March 17, 2024

Before the next match, "Pretty" Peter Avalon admits he came up short against Danny Limelight, but says their match lit a fire in him and reinvigorated him, and he knows he can hang with the best of the best. Avalon, calling himself a "day one player," then issues a "Day One Open Challenge" and gives someone who has never been in the United Wrestling Network a chance to face him. The challenge is answered by Matt Vandagriff.

"Pretty" Peter Avalon beats Matt Vandagriff.

Backstage, General Manager Jonny Loquasto meets with Danny Limelight, saying Bad Dude Tito is likely to be his next opponent, when Limelight wants to know where Slice Boogie is. Loquasto says that he has told Slice to stay home this week, but Limelight says he cannot fix The Bodega (Danny Limelight, "King FatBoy" Papo Esco, Slice Boogie) if Slice is not here. As Limelight talks about how he has been champion for over 450 days, "Benevolent" Jack Banning shows up and says Limelight should be counting the hours. Limelight challenges Banning to a title-for-title match, much to Loquasto's surprise, then wishes Banning luck. Banning leaves, then Limelight says he does not trust Banning and does not trust Loquasto for the situations he is putting him in.

It's time for the United Wrestling Newsdesk. We hear from Buck Skynyr, who says that this is his show now and that there is nobody in the United Wrestling Network who can stand up to him, as he is heading to the stop and staying there. We hear from Cameron Gates, who says that there are plenty of new faces in the United Wrestling Networks, his included, but he is not new to professional wrestling and knows that Mikey O'Shea has done this for a long time. He tells O'Shea to do whatever it takes to prepare, as he will show him that he is not nice.We hear from The Wolf Zaddies (Che Cabrera and Bad Dude Tito). Cabrera says Danny Limelight may have cost them their match, but they are still tag champs. Tito says Limelight found out what happens when he gets in his face, and next time, he will be taking the World title home with him.

Savannah Stone beats Taniya.

Jason Levels and Flex McCalleon beat Guy Cool and Koto Hiro after Levels distracts the referee with Koto Hiro while Flex McCalleon knocks Guy Cool out with the boxing gloves on the outside. After the match, Jason Levels, having finally won a match in the United Wrestling Network, celebrates like he just won the World Series and calls tonight the greatest day of his life before thanking McCalleon and his therapists. (McCalleon is now coming out to a remix of the Punch-Out! gameplay theme.)

Backstage, "King FatBoy" Papo Esco and Danny Limelight talk about Slice Boogie, and Papo Esco says he used to have a stranglehold on the Television Championship and it is now gone. He says things are not good within The Bodega, even when he wants all the gold.

"Outlandish" Zicky Dice beats "Benevolent" Jack Banning to become the United Television Champion following the distraction from Honest John. After the match, Zicky Dice celebrates in the crowd.
