Generation NXT - NXT recap for March 12, 2024

The Latino World Order (Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro) beat OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) in a tag team qualifying match to qualify for the #1 Contender's Triple Threat Tag Team Match.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Oba Femi says he is confident that he will beat Brooks Jensen. Jensen gets in Oba Femi's face to dare him to say that to his face, and security - and Josh Briggs - have to break the brawl up as Femi tells Briggs to watch him decimate Jensen.

Backstage, Andre Chase talks with Thea Hail, and tells her that he is always here for her. Duke Hudson shows up, and Thea Hail mentions Jacy Jayne and Jasmyn Nyx hanging out without her and calls Jasmyn "an influencer." Thea says that the three of them do not have to be together at all times and that she has other friends, and that she knows somebody who also has issues with Kiana James and Izzi Dame: Kelani Jordan, who shows up and says she is ready.

Roxanne Perez is in the ring. She says that last week is what happens when one gets sick and tired of playing by the rules, and says that the Roxanne who was happy to be here is gone and that this has been boiling up for months. She says that this has built up for the last year ever since she collapsed after her match with Meiko Satomura and after having to carry the women's division on her shoulders as part of the best rookie year in WWE history. She also says that afterwards, her title was taken from her and nobody cared, with everyone telling her that her time would come again while everyone else drooled over other champions while she worker her way up. Roxanne says the fans acted like she did not exist when she faced Becky Lynch in the ring, and that she went home crying that night due to how everyone made her feel. She then denounces the fans for making her feel worthless, and says she no longer cares for her opinions. She says she is the most decorated woman in NXT history at the age of 22 after everything she has done here, then addresses Lyra Valkyria failing to giving her a championship rematch and going after the women's tag titles instead. Roxanne says she realized she had to break the rules and do it her way, and says that while everyone wants to cheer her now, nobody cared when Indi Hartwell held her championship. She then says the fans are like a little Roxanne Perez: naive, confused, and not knowing what they want. She then says she knows what she wants and does not need the fans' approval. She then says that Lyra Valkyria is the one in the ambulance a year later, and that the pain is not from injury, but from having her title ripped away from her. Roxanne then demands that General Manager Ava award the championship back from her. Ava shows up and says those in power in NXT wanted to wait until they knew the full extent of Roxanne's injuries, and that Roxanne put Lyra in an ambulance for no reason. All of a sudden, Tatum Paxley shows up and goes after Roxanne, and referees have to hold her back.

At the restaurant, The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Adriana Rizzo, Luca Crusifino) celebrate their success and the addition of a new consigliere in Luca Crusifino, then Adriana Rizzo says that the rest of the family is proud of Tony D'Angelo and look forward to honoring the new NXT Champion. Tony D'Angelo says this was a long time coming, but now the path is clear. He thanks Stacks for playing Trick Williams' music, and mentions that Trick Williams was also part of the plan when he called him as part of the plan. Suddenly, Ilja Dragunov shows up. Tony D'Angelo sends everyone off before Dragunov congratulates him on getting into the championship picture and tells him that the title will stay with him no matter what D'Angelo does. D'Angelo then has Stacks and Crusifino carry Dragunov to the back to stick him in the trunk. After paying for the mean, The D'Angelo Family drives off with Dragunov in the trunk.

Lexis King beats Mr. Stone. After the match, Lexis King is about to hit the Coronation again when Von Wagner rushes to the ring. With Mr. Stone down, all Von Wagner can do is help Mr. Stone to the back.

Earlier today on Impaulsive, Logan Paul announces that SummerSlam will take place in Cleveland, Ohio on August 3, 2024 in Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Oba Femi. Oba Femi says Brooks Jensen thinks he is ready for a challenge, but he is only ready to enter the jungle to be slaughtered. Dijak shows up and says they will see if Femi has what it takes to be a real champion when Femi is done playing around.

Backstage, Ridge Holland is training when he gets a phone call from his mother and daughter, who wish him luck tonight and ask him to be careful.

Oba Femi retains the NXT North American Championship against Brooks Jensen, decimating him in front of Josh Briggs when Briggs leaves the locker room to stand in Jensen's corner.

The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Adriana Rizzo, Luca Crusifino) are at the bridge with Ilja Dragunov, who has been let out of the trunk. D'Angelo tells Dragunov that he cannot let him walk into his restaurant uninvited unpunished, and that he has been on this bridge with many a man. D'Angelo says he knows what Dragunov is capable of, but tells him that he can end everything with a snap of his fingers. He says that Dragunov has power, but not the power he has, and Dragunov dares him to snap his fingers. D'Angelo tells Dragunov to walk his way back home, and the D'Angelo Family drives off. Dragunov warns D'Angelo that he always finds a way.

Arianna Grace beats Gigi Dolin by disqualification. During the match, Arianna grabs her tiara and tries to put it on Gigi's head, and when the referee takes it away, Arianna kicks Gigi in the groin. Gigi responds with a low blow of her own, but it happens in full view of the referee, and gets her disqualified. As per pre-match stipulation, Arianna Grace gets to give Gigi Dolin a makeover to make her into a proper lady.

Karmen Petrovic talks with Sol Ruca, who says that a lot of women have been following Blair Davenport's lead since she has been gone. Lola Vice shows up and makes fun of Karmen Petrovic, calling her a "karate girl," and Karmen threatens to kick Lola's face off as Sol Ruca keeps both women apart. Brinley Reece shows up andgives Sol Ruca kudos from breaking up the fight, then has to be carried off by Malik Blade and Edris Enofe.

Before the next match, it is announced that Kelani Jordan has been attacked backstage. When the next fight begins, Fallon Henley runs into the ring to fight alongside Thea Hail.

Kiana James and Izzi Dame beat Thea Hail and Fallon Henley. During the match, Jacy Jayne and Jasmyn Nyx show up to watch from ringside, where they end up not being much help. After the match, Thea Hail wants to know what has happened to Jacy Jayne saying that she found her at her most vulnerable and that she thought of Jacy as a friend. She says she thought she saw what she wanted to be, and that she changed herself for Jacy. She then says Jacy became a more rotten version of herself, and she ignored that because she idolized her like a sister. Thea says she is done, that she does not want to be anything like her, and that the old Thea Hail is back. She then runs around the ring, much to the annoyance of Jacy and Jasmyn, and Jacy Jayne calls Thea Hail "ungrateful" as Riley Osborne cheers Thea on backstage only to be met by No Quarter Catch Crew. Dempsey says that Riley's flashy moves have no place in wrestling, and Riley says Dempsey was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. When Gulak tells Riley to say the word so he can enact the Catch Clause, Axiom and Nathan Frazer show up to back Riley up. Gulak says that the Catch Crew will be walking out with the Heritage Cup.

We hear from The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) Anderson says they have to go through two teams to get tag team gold, starting with Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. Luke Gallows says they have been a team since before they were born, and Anderson says they are on a mission to hit every tag team with a Magic Killer until they are the only one left at Stand & Deliver. Backstage, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger says they got here three yards at a time and that Gallows and Anderson will overlook them. He says they will shock the world and go on to tag team gold. Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin show up, and they manage to get Tank Ledger fired up.

Shawn Spears beats Ridge Holland by countering Northern Grit with a C4 after Ridge Holland choke slams him through the announce table and after the referee keeps Ridge from using a metal folding chair as a weapon. After the match, Shawn Spears is laughing, having succeded at his mission of making Ridge embrace his rage.

Trick Williams heads to the ring. Trick says he usually grabs the microphone and does his thing, but he is struggling to find the words that he needs to say. He says he is angry and feels betrayed, and that family means something to him. He says he had Carmelo Hayes' back for two years and wanted him to succeed because that is what brothers do, then wants to know why Carmelo did what he did. He says Carmelo succeed made him want to put the extra work in and succeed, and that even Carmelo said he was happy for him. He says that everyone saw he could succeed, and that he wanted Carmelo to be happy for him the same way he was happy for him. He then says that he started to hear the whispers, but he ignored them because he felt that he and Carmelo would always be together, yet he had to find out from Carmelo himself. When he did, Carmelo lied in his face. He says that Carmelo lied about a lot of things, then agrees that he and Carmelo are not on the same level and says that Carmelo will never be on his. He says he had Carmelo's back, but Carmelo stabbed him in his. Trick says they will have a match at Stand & Deliver and that he will pay him back - and then some - as the fans cheer for him. Suddenly, Meta-Four shows up. Noam Dar says Trick's rise has been epic, but everyone is tired about him talking about Carmelo, saying he deserved it. Trick tells Noam to either say what he needs to say or mind his business. Noam compared losing the Heritage Cup to Trick losing Carmelo, then says he does not cry in his pillow about it and moves on to bigger and better things instead. Trick tells Noam to mind his business and leave him alone. Noam says he is here to steal his hype, as there is nobody hotter than Trick right now. Trick messes with Lash Legend, saying that Lash is looking at him in agreement, and Noam Dar says he is in the mood to knock Trick out. After Noam says they will fight about it and not talk about it, Noam fends off Noam Dar and Oro Mensah, then blocks a kiss from Lash Legend and kisses her romantically before throwing Noam and Mensah out of the ring.
