Collision Course - Collision recap for March 9, 2024

"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson beats Shane Taylor. After the match, Will Ospreay shows up and congratulates Danielson before praising him for continuing to perform at a high level. He also makes it known at Danielson's reputation precedes him and that he has inspired a lot of people who love pro wrestling, and thanks him for everything that he has done. He then mentions Danielson interrupting him on Dynamite and believes that he has something that he wants to ask him. Danielson welcomes Ospreay to AEW and praises his recent match with Kyle Fletcher, then gives him a chance to prove he is the best wrestler in the world as he proclaimed in the Revolution post-show media scrum. Danielson proposes a match between them at Dynasty, which Ospreay agrees on.

The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada) beat Jon Cruz, Liam Gray and Adrian Alanis in a trios match. After the match, Eddie Kingston charges the ring and charges at Okada, but he is attacked by The Elite when they see him coming. Penta el Zero Miedo shows up and fights The Elite, but Okada lays him out. Suddenly, PAC shows up for the first time in months and takes out The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson), then stares down Okada. Both men soon exchange blows, and PAC gets the upper hand before The Young Bucks save Okada. PAC declares that he is back and looking for trouble, and if The Young Bucks wants some trouble, they will get it. Eddie Kingston then challenges The Elite to a six-man tag match at Big Business.

Mariah May beats Trish Adora. After the match, "Timeless" Toni Storm and Luther show up, and Toni Storm presents the very first Toni Award to Mariah May for her performance as Toni Storm at Revolution. As she delivers the award to Mariah May, "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo shows up and attacks Toni with the award, which looks like a shoe. Mariah May makes the save for Toni before receiving her Toni Award.

"The Prodigy" Nick Wayne beats Adam Priest. After the match, Christian rips a "Christian Skips Leg Day" sign from a man in a gold luchador mask. The man in the mask ends up being Adam Copeland, who fends The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, Killswitch) off before pulling a box out from underneath the ring. Copeland opens the box with the word "Spike" on it as The Patriarchy surrounds the ring, and Christian sees the contents of the box and immediately retreats with the rest of The Patriarchy. Copeland then throws his "I Quit" Match challenge out to Christian.

Lexy Nair interviews Jay Lethal, Mark Briscoe, Jeff Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt, Satnam Singh, and Karen Jarrett. Jeff tells Mark that all he has to trust is his ability to win their match tonight. Jay says he trusts his partners and knows they will trust him, and while Briscoe trusts Jay, he is more than ready to team with Jeff Jarrett tonight.

"Lionheart" Chris Jericho beats Titan with the Lion Tamer. After the match, Jericho is attacked by Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) until Hook shows up with a shinai and makes the save.

Tony Schiavone interviews FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) in the ring. Cash Wheeler says Revolution did not go their way, and while life has a way of kicking one while one is down, all they can do is dust themselves off and keep moving forward. He also announces that 2024 marks a decade of FTR, and now that there is a tag team title tournament around the corner, they are throwing their names into the ring. Dax Harwood says AEW has been built on the back of good tag team wrestling, and says that while it would be easy for him to say FTR is the greatest tag team of all time and that they will win the tournament and the titles, but he is not a liar. He feels that FTR may not be worthy of being in the tournament, but if they are allowed in it, they will give their all for the fans and ultimately become the first-ever three-time tag team champs in AEW history. Suddenly, The Infantry ("The Captain" Shawn Dean and "Bad News and Tattoos" Carlie Bravo) shows up and introduces themselves to the AEW crowd. Carlie Bravo says that they respect FTR and everything they have done before shaking their hands in the name of good sportsmanship. He also says that they will take their spots and give the tag team division a revival, but Harwood tells them that "The Revival" is dead and that The Infantry also will be if they meet in the tournament.

Mistico beats Angelico by submission.

The House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, Buddy Matthews) beat Mark Briscoe, Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett in an Atlanta Street Fight after Mark Briscoe is put through a flaming table.
