Final iMPACT! - iMPACT! Wrestling recap for March 14, 2024

Mustafa Ali retains the TNA X Division Championship against Chris Sabin after Sabin tries to use the championship belt - which is introduced into the match by Mustafa - against Mustafa only for Mustafa to duck and put his feet on the top rope for leverage during a schoolkid pin to win and retain.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "The Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth and Speedball Mountain ("Speedball" Mike Bailey and Trent Seven). Trent Seven says he has come a long way from the British isles to bring a bit of gentlemanly class, and Mike Bailey says they are more than "some little team" and that he and Trent are looking at tag team gold. Nemeth says he looks forward to taking the World Championship from Moose, but as for tonight, the three of them will take Steve Maclin and The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) to the danger zone.

"The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander heads to the ring. Alexander asks the fans if they know what makes him special and why people call him "The Walking Weapon," then says when he is focused and locked in, there is no wrestler better than him. He says he proved that against Will Ospreay at Snake Eyes and when he held the TNA World Heavyweight Championship longer than anyone else in history. Alexander then talks about how he had to relinquish the World title with tears in his eyes a year ago, and since that moment, he has been focused on getting the World title back. He says that it may not always seem that way with other opponents, but those are obstacles to get out of the way and rungs on the ladder to climb to get what he wants. This brings him to Hammerstone, as he opened the door for him at Hard To Kill and he brought a fight so good that he got signed to TNA. Alexander says he was happy for him and was more than happy to oblige for a second round until Hammerstone had to prove that he could not beat him fair and square. Alexander also brings up Hammerstone tapping out when the referee was down as well as Hammerstone taking his headgear with him like some sort of trophy, then says his heart - not his headgear - is his identity. He thanks Hammerstone for making him focused on something other than the World title for the first time in a long time, which is kicking Hammerstone's ass. Alexander then says he is not waiting and not asking, and demands that Hammerstone get in the ring so they can do this right here, right now. Instead of Hammerstone, however, he gets Alpha Bravo and Oleg Prudius, and Bravo says Alexander only lost at Sacrifice because Dirty Dango softened him up. Alexander asks why he is still standing in the ring when Dirty Dango softened him up, and Dirty Dango tries to sneak up on him from behind only to get headed off at the pass and thrown out of the ring. Prudius gets in the ring, but security holds both Prudius and Alexander back until Director of Authority Santino Marella shows up. Santino says this is an interesting situation to him, then asks the fans if they want to see a fight. He says he wants to see this fight happens, then summons a referee to make this match official and happen right now.

"The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander quickly beats Oleg Prudius with the ankle lock.

Crazzy Steve heads to the ramp. Steve says that at the risk of sounding redundant, he must repeat that who he is is rather simple, but what he is is more complicated. He says that there is a growing number of people realizing that, including Tommy Dreamer, Rhino, and Joe Hendry. He says that they have all been defeated at his hand and puts him a cut above the rest, then says he is the only champion in the locker room who can lay claim to the fact when he gets in the ring, his championship is being defended. Steve says the fans cannot understand that kind of pressure and that only he can handle that king of pressure, then the lights go out and a flash of lightning can be seen as PCO makes his way towards Crazzy Steve. Crazzy Steve and PCO have a brief staredown before Steve heads to the back.

Frankie Kazarian beats "Inevitable" Ace Austin after countering a bridge pin attempt with a crossface chickenwing. After the match, Kazarian attacks both Ace Austin and Chris Bey, then Eric Young shows up and chases Kazarian out of the ring.

We hear from The System (Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Moose, Brian Myers). Moose says that the whole locker room cannot equal what they have done. Moose, Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers talk about their accomplishments, which are shown at the bottom of the screen.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Time Machine (Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, KUSHIDA). All of a sudden, The Grizzled Young Vets (Zack Gibson and James Drake) show up and says Time Machine found that they are the top guys, and Sabin dares the two of them to take on Time Machine to prove it. Shelley walks out in irritation.

Before the next match, Joe Hendry says tonight is the night that he finally goes one-on-one with AJ Francis, and that on paper, he should be scared of Francis because he is a giant. He then mentions that Francis is also an artist, and sees that while he is tough on the outside, he is sensitive on the inside, and that it is okay to constantly show one's emotions and cry and cry when people tell him he sucks. Hendry then says that to turn that frown upside-down, one must chant "We believe," and that the fans believe in Joe Hendry. Before he can finish that statement, however, Francis clobbers him from behind.

AJ Francis beats Joe Hendry. During the match, Hendry inadvertently flattens the ref with a corner splash meant for Francis, and Francis takes out Hendry before grabbing a chair from underneath the wrong. Hendry ducks the swing and drop kicks him, and when both men go for the chair, Rich Swann gets in the ring, grabs the chair, confronts Francis, then hits Hendry in the gut and then the back with the chair. Francis hits Hendry with a choke slam before Rich Swann revives the ref, allowing Francis to get the victory.

Alan Angels interviews Ash By Elegance and George Iceman - who is not happy with the setting of the interview - on The Sound Check. Alan gushes over Ash By Elegance, then mentions that Ash has an announcement. Ash By Elegance announces that she will be having her third match in TNA next week. George Iceman and Ash By Elegeance leave to catch a limo, and Ash touches Alan on the way out, which Alan cannot get over.

Before the next match, MK Ultra (Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly) and Decay (Rosemary and Havok) show up to watch from ringside.

Spitfire (Dani Luna and Jody Threat) beat Beaa Moss and Vanna Black.

Tasha Steelz suddenly shows up. She says that at Sacrifice, she did not lose, and says that if Jordynne Grace is a fighting champion like she is and a true juggernaut, she will challenge her one-on-one with the Knockouts World title on the line.

"The Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth and Speedball Mountain ("Speedball" Mike Bailey and Trent Seven) beat Steve Maclin and The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) in a six-man tag match after Nemeth inadvertently hits Trey with a tope suicida, causing Wentz to get angry at Maclin and walk out of the match alingside Trey. After the match, The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, Moose) rush into the ring and brawl with Nemeth and Speedball Mountain, and thanks to Alisha Edwards, Moose is able to blast Nemeth with the World title before doing the same to Speedball Mountain.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!
