Generation NXT UK - NXT UK recap for December 10, 2020

Jordan Devlin is in the ring to start tonight's show. He says tonight marks week one of his Cruiserweight Championship open challenge, which means that whenever he is in the ring, the Cruiserweight title is on the line. Backstage, Ashton Smith tells Oliver Carter that this is his time and his moment before Oliver Carter answers Jordan Devlin's open challenge.

Jordan Devlin retains the NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Oliver Carter.

In footage from earlier this week at the UK Performance Center, Jinny says Piper Niven had the nerve to disrespect her where she is standing, and says Piper is not worthy of her speaking about her anymore, for she will come after her when she least expects it. Jinny says she has tamed wild animals before, and that she will tame wild animals again.

We see a video package of NXT UK Superstars proclaiming that NXT UK is back as they take part in numerous photo shoots.

It's time for the first-ever Supernova Sessions with host Noam Dar. Tonight's guest is A-Kid. Noam Dar asks A-Kid to clear about the beilef that they are rivals, as Noam Dar states that he took A-Kid under his wing and made him the wrestler that he is now. Noam Dar then crowns A-Kid as "A-Man," then tells him to "thank his sensei." A-Kid stops him, tells him he is not his friend and that numerous people helped him in NXT UK, including Tyler Bate. As Noam Dar says that Tyler Bate is "a dafty" and that he has a Supernova Sessions exclusive on him, Tyler Bate shows up and congratulates A-Kid before saying he wishes he was in the Heritage Cup tournament. Noam Dar interprets this as Tyler stating that he would have beaten A-Kid in the tournament, then proposes that A-Kid and Tyler Bate have a match to see who is better between student and master. A-Kid and Tyler Bate like the idea.

In footage from earlier this week, The Hunt and Eddie Dennis walk into Assistant Sid Scala's office, and Dennis makes it clear that The Hunt are number one contenders to the NXT UK tag team titles, much to Scala's discomfort.

Isla Dawn beats Xia Brookside. During the match, a backstage worker puts suitcases on the ramp. Suddenly, Nina Samuels shows up on the video screen and says that Brooksides are only worthy of carrying her bags. This distracts Xia Brookside, and Isla Dawn takes advantage of this to get the win.

In footage from earlier this week, Assistant Sid Scala is being interviewed when Saxon Huxley walks out of a door noisily. Scala looks at what is going on and finds out that Levi Muir and Jack Starz have been attacked.

Next week: The Hunt (Wild Boar and Primate) vs. Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) for the NXT UK Tag Team Championships!

A-Kid retains the NXT UK Heritage Cup against Tyler Bate two falls to one (2-1). Tyler Bate earns the first fall with 1:13 left in Round 3 after rolling A-Kid backwards and rolling him up. A-Kid earns the second fall one minute into Round 5 following a top rope backflip into a DDT. A-Kid earns the final fall in Round 6 after reversing a pinfall attempt from Bate into one of his own and wins the match and retains the Cup. Both men shake hands after the match.
