Generation NXT - NXT recap for December 26, 2018

Bianca Belair beats Io Shirai, Lacey Evans and Mia Yim in a Fatal 4-Way Match to become the #1 contender for the NXT Women's Championship.

Jaxson Ryker beats Mitch Taverna. (After the commercial break following the first match, there is no commentary on the announcement for the NXT Women's Championship as well as for this match.)

We see a vignette for Velveteen Dream, who says that after a year, he has just begun with his first year and that 2019 will be even better.

We hear from Tommaso Ciampa, who says that he is a man of his word, and that when he makes a promise, he delivers on it. Sometimes, however, he feels like a broken record and that he is a man sitting alone in a room talking to a wall. Last week, however, was his vindication and proof that someone has been listening all along: Johnny Gargano, who followed his lead and led him to a win in a steel cage match against Aleister Black. He says that Johnny Gargano should get a title opportunity, if not at his title, then at the North American Championship. He tells Gargano to think about it, as it is everything they have talked about and that this is their takeover. Ciampa then tells Gargano that the possibilities are endless.

Next week: the NXT 2018 Year-End Awards! "The King of Bros" Matt Riddle vs. Kassius Ohno!

The Undisputed Era (Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong) retain the NXT Tag Team Championships against Heavy Machinery (Tucker Knight and Otis Dozovic).
