Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for December 27, 2018

This week is part two of the best of 2018.

We hear from Fenix, who remembers wanting to be one of the best wrestlers as a child. At Homecoming, he and Pentagon Jr. are looking to become the best when they win the tag team titles.

We hear from The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz), who say that their Toronto Street Fight against The OG'z (Homicide and Hernandez) was their most memorable match this year, and compare the match to watching TV shows like Blue Bloods.

We hear from Tessa Blanchard, who states that Taya Valkyrie has used every word in the book to describe her: entitled, conceited and a coward. She takes nothing from Taya and admits she is great, but says that Taya is not Tessa Blanchard or the Knockouts Champion. At Homecoming, she plans to show everyone that Taya will never be anything more than "Johnny Impact's wife."

The top five matches of the year are as follows:

#5: Taya Valkyrie vs. Tessa Blanchard for the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Championship, Bound For Glory 2018

#4: Fenix vs. Pentagon Jr. vs. Austin Aries for the Impact Wrestling World Championship, Redemption

Impact Wrestling returns to Las Vegas, Nevada for TV tapings on February 15-17!

We hear from The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz), who talk about the history in The Asylum in Nashville, Tennessee as well as the tag team title match they will have there at Homecoming.

#3: The OG'z (Homicide and Hernandez) vs. The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) for the Impact World Tag Team Championships, Slammiversary XVI

We hear from Johnny Impact, who says that out of all the cities he could kick "The Machine" Brian Cage's ass in, Nashville, Tennessee is the best bet. He equates Nashville with country music, which deals with "America, feelings of loss, sadness and not getting the things we want," which is how Cage will be feeling when he is sitting at the Slamtown Hotel breakfast buffet without the X Division title.

#2: Johnny Impact vs. Austin Aries for the Impact Wrestling World Championship, Bound For Glory 2018

We hear from Sami Callihan, who congratulates himself as he says that he is finally getting the respect he deserves when the fans voted his match at Slammiversary XVI as Match of the Year. He says that he and and Pentagon Jr. have fought around the world, and that Slammiversary XVI would be a Match of the Year contender. At Homecoming, he is calling his shots again and he is promising he will have another Match of the Year contender.
