Generation NXT UK - NXT UK recap for December 26, 2018 - Episode Two

Zack Gibson and James Drake beat "Wild Boar' Mike Hitchman and the debuting "Primate" Jay Melrose. After the match, Gibson says that the NXT UK Tag Team Championships are right around the corner and that he knows a thing or two about winning tournaments. He says Liverpool has conquered Europe and that they will not will stop. Gibson says he loves his city, but he absolutely hates the people of Liverpool and says the scouse fans turned their backs on him when he found success around the world. He says that nobody in the crowd can take his success from him or the success he and James Drake about to achieve, and that he and Drake are the best tag team in the world and soon to be NXT UK Tag Team Champions.

Backstage, Tyler Bate says the road to NXT UK Takeover has begun, but before he and Trent Seven get there, they have Gallus to contend with. Trent says they've come to blows, but this time, it's two-on-two with the winners going to TakeOver. Both of them have been there before and won, and they plan on becoming crowned the NXT UK Tag Team Champions.

Next week: Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven) vs. Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) in the semi-finals of the NXT UK Tag Team Championship Tournament!

"Bomber" Dave Mastiff vs. Josh Morrell ends before it begins when Morrell is attacked by Eddie Dennis before the match. Dennis and Mastiff have to be kept separated by referees, who quickly move into place.

Joseph Connors talks about the diversity of the NXT UK landscape, calling them "shiny new toys" and that new toys have a shelf life. Two years ago, he was one of these "new toys," but he is battered, scratched and discarded. If he cannot be a "new toy," then he plans to batter and scratch everyone else as badly as he is.

Marcel Barthel beats Mark Andrews in his NXT UK debut with the assist from Fabian Aichner. After the match, Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner shake hands as if to imply an alliance.

We see a video package for Toni Storm.

We see a video package for "The Kiwi Buzzsaw" Travis Banks, who will be in action next week.

Rhea Ripley retains the NXT UK Women's Championship against the debuting Deonna Purrazzo. After the match, Rhea Ripley attacks Deonna Purrazzo, but Toni Storm runs in and makes the save. After Rhea Ripley leaves, Purrazzo and Storm fist bump in a sign of respect.
