205:Alive - 205 Live recap for September 4, 2018

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese. Buddy Murphy stands in for an offended Nese, who says choosing him for Super Show-Down for a Cruiserweight title match was an easy decision for General Manager Drake Maverick. He came close to beating Cedric Alexander for the title in Cedric's hometown, but at Super Show-Down, he will have thousands of fans cheering for him to win the title. As for tonight, Tony Nese does what he does best: taking care of business.

Gran Metalik beats "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese.

Backstage, General Manager Drake Maverick sends a message to the referees that he will take care of everything if Cedric Alexander does anything tonight. Mustafa Ali shows up, and Drake Maverick makes it clear that Mustafa Ali will not show up in a 205 Live ring again until he says so after his actions last week.

Lio Rush guests on commentary for the next match.

Noam Dar beats Bryan Kelly.

Backstage, General Manager Drake Maverick asks Cedric Alexander to stay professional, and that he has no problem intervening should things escalate. Cedric says "You're the boss."

Next week: Gran Metalik vs. Buddy Murphy!

Cedric Alexander shows up. Cedric says he is a man of few words, and calls Drew Gulak out, saying he will show up so they can finish what they started if he has any shred of integrity. Instead of Gulak, however, TJP shows up instead. He is surprised that Gulak is not here, then says he is impatient when it comes to waiting in line for the Cruiserweight Championship. He says that if Cedric wants to wait for a fight, he is willing to put him on the mat for a future title opportunity. Cedric dares TJP to get in the ring, which TJP does, then General Manager Drake Maverick. Maverick says he makes the matches around here, and while he would not normally do this, he is a shameless promoter and knows a marquee match when he sees it. He makes the match official, and brings out a referee to start the match.

Cedric Alexander beats TJP. After the match, Drew Gulak shows up and congratulates Cedric on his victory, and says that if he wants to finish what they started, he humbly accepts his challenge. Gulak heads to the ring, but it is a front for Cedric to be attacked from behind by "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher. Cedric fends off Gallagher, but Gulak clotheslines Cedric and locks in the Gu-Lock. General Manager Drake Maverick shows up with two referees, and the referees check on Cedric while Maverick forces Gallagher and Gulak to the back.
