Before the next match, The Rock shows up with a ladder and lays it on the stage before heading to the back.
Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) beat The Oddities (Kurrgan and Golga) by disqualification after Luna Vachon gets on top of Mark Canterbury and tries to put him in a sleeper hold. During the match, Dustin Runnels is seen in the audience carrying a sign saying "He's Coming Back." After the match, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett shows up with a pair of clippers to cut Luna Vachon's hair, but Giant Silva gets in the ring. Jarrett retreats, and Silva choke slams Mark Canterbury.
An inebriated Road Warrior Hawk shows up unexpectedly before the next match, much to the irritation of Road Warrior Animal. "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry shows up and hits Hawk with a splash, then he and D'Lo Brown double-team Animal. Darren "Puke" Drozdov then runs into the ring with a steel chair, and Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown retreat, with the WWF European Championship match ending before it can even begin.
Edge is seen in the audience before the next match.
Owen Hart and Dan "The Beast" Severn beat The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) by submission after Owen Hart puts Mosh out with a rear naked choke.
The Rock shows up, and he takes the ladder that he left on the stage at the top of the show with him into the ring. He talks about how he watched all the fans come to the arena and how he came to one conclusion: tonight is the largest collection of trailer park trash he has ever seen. He then mentions "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley's challenge to a Ladder Match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam, and accepts it, saying "You bet your pretty ass." The Rock then says he will both enter and leave SummerSlam as WWF Intercontinental Champion after beating Triple H from pillar to post all over the ring before hitting him with the Rock Bottom and climbing up the ladder to take back the title, and says that he will look into Triple H's eyes and Triple H will realize that there is nobody who can beat him.
It is announced that Chyna will call out The Rock tomorrow night on Raw.
Taka Michinoku beats 2 Cold Scorpio after Mrs. Yamaguchi-san distracts the referee and Mr. Yamaguchi-San distracts Scorpio, allowing Michinoku to hit the Michinoku Driver for the win. After the match, Val Venis shows up and says he has just read Taka's fortune cookie, and that tomorrow night on Raw, "The Big Valbowski" will be speaking softly and carrying a big stick, and he will be ready to unload on him.
We hear from Pacific Blue star Mario Lopez, who had a great time on Sunday Night Heat. He also talks about his confrontation with Val Venis.
"Double J" Jeff Jarrett vs. Darren "Puke" Drozdov ends in a no-contest. During the match, X-Pac comes out of the crowd and attacks Jarrett, then grabs an electric razor and cuts some of Jarrett's hair while Droz holds Jarrett down. Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) run in, but X-Pac and Doz retreat and celebrate the cutting of some of Jarrett's hair to end the show.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for August 17, 1998
The show starts with Hollywood Hogan, Eric Bischoff, The Disciple and The Giant showing up. After Hogan states that he is surprised there are still fans of his in Hartford, Connecticut that skill worship the ground he walks on, he calls Goldberg out, saying he will get the World title back tonight as there is not one man he has not beaten or cannot beat. He then says that The Giant will do the dirty work and take care of Goldberg before handing him his belt back, and tells The Giant that nWo Hollywood has his back to ensure any allies of Goldberg don't get in their business.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon, who brings up the statement by Hollywood Hogan earlier in the show before bringing up the War Games match coming up at Fall Brawl. There will be three teams, with Hollywood Hogan captaining one team (nWo Hollywood), Diamond Dallas Page captaining another (WCW), and Kevin Nash captaining a third team (nWo Wolfpac). There will be three men starting, and every two minutes, a new man will enter the ring and the match does not start until all nine men are in the ring. The winner will get a shot at Goldberg for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
We see a performance by The Nitro Girls. Kimberly is back and performing this week.

Steve "Mongo" McMichael beats Sick Boy.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. He says that he is honored to captain a team at War Games, then talks about how he got a guy's number and met with him face-to-face to discuss his plan to take on Hollywood Hogan, he was interested. DDP has heard what Hollywood Hogan has had to say, and mentions that there is someone Hogan has not beaten, and that he will get his shot against him at Fall Brawl. DDP then mentions the beatdown he received at the hands of nWo Hollywood before his match against Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, then Bret shows up. Bret says DDP is just making excuses, and tells him that when he comes to fight him, he had better come to fight and to suck it up and lose like everyone else. DDP tells Bret to back up, and challenges Bret to a match tonight. Bret says the US title means everything to him, as his two reigns will prove he will be the best United States Champion of all time. He reminds DDP that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Booker T are injured because of him and that the only reason Lex Luger isn't dead only because he is Sting's friend. He then calls DDP "the scum of the earth," and looks forward to any match he has in store for him for the United States title before accepting his challenge.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Raven. Shortly after Raven shows up, Horace comes out and tells Raven he makes him sick to his stomach, as for the last four months, he has done nothing but watch his back and help him matches only to get nothing in return. Tonight, he wants him in the ring one more time so he can beat some sense into him. Raven says if he wants a match, that's fine, but it will be under Raven's Rules and he picks the partners. Horace's partner will be Kanyon, while Raven's partner will be Saturn, whom he says will get used to being subservient to him. Saturn and Kanyon shows up, and Saturn tells Raven he's out of his mind before telling Raven that he'll team with him only to knock his head off when he goes for a tag. WCW Executive Committee Chairman shows up and makes the match official after everyone gives a verbal commitment, but warns Saturn not to attack Raven, for if he does, he will be suspended from WCW for 90 days. He also says the match will only be won by pinfall or submission and that there will be a definitive winner.
The Dancing Fools (Disco Inferno and Alex Wright) vs. High Voltage (Rage and Kaos) ends when Meng gets in the ring, attacks and applies the Tongan Death Grip to all four men. During the match, the commentary team mocks the main event of tonight's Raw for being "only 10 seconds." After the match, Meng applies the Tongan Death Grip to referee Billy Silverman and a member of WCW security. Another member of WCW security shows up with mace, but when he sprays it into Meng's face, it has absolutely no effect and Meng is still able to get him with the Tongan Death Grip.
Before the next match, Eddie Guerrero - who is scheduled for a match against Konnan - shows up with his bags while not dressed to wrestle. Eddie tells the production truck not to go to a commercial break or else he will say his peace on another show. He asks Eric Bischoff if he has his attention now, as he always gets screamed at and kicked out every time he tries to talk business. He dares Bischoff to fire him, as he doesn't care, then goes on to say he's been in WCW for a year only to be mistreated and unappreciated by Bischoff, whether it be on the road or on TV even as he gives his all for the fans. If Bischoff cannot give him the time of day, he doesn't care anymore, as there is a lot of young talent in WCW and they are all held down for higher-paid talent. Eddie goes on to say he doesn't care about the people and that Bischoff has driven him to that, and that this is now personal between them. Eddie says that he comes to work with his heart, and Bischoff steps on it and keeps holding him down. He does not know if it is something personal or if he has something personal against him, and wants to know what it is that Bischoff has against him to keep him from moving up in WCW. He says he is doing this for the rest of the young talent, and that he hasn't come out sooner for two reasons: his nephew Chavo Guerrero, Jr. and his two kids and a wife that he has to support. If he has to lose his dignity, he doesn't care. He then tells Bischoff he wants out of his contract, and he does not care how he does it. He then throws coffee on himself, and tells Bischoff he can take his job and shove it. Eddie then leaves with his luggage.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.
Raven and Saturn beats Horace and Raven in a Raven's Rules tag team match after Horace accidentally hits Kanyon with a stop sign. After the match, Raven hits Saturn with an Evenflow DDT before he sics the Flock on him. Kidman tries to stop it, but Raven hits him with an Evenflow DDT as well. Horace then butts in and says he wants Saturn, then hits Saturn with a full nelson slam before eating yet another Evenflow DDT from Raven.
nWo Wolfpac (Kevin Nash, Konnan, Lex Luger, Sting) show up. Sting says he loved the idea of being in War Games again, and that this time, he is running with the Wolfpac and that he is red-and-black for life. Kevin Nash predicts that War Games will be the end of nWo Hollywood as we know it, and he tells Scott Hall and Hollywood Hogan that if they're not with the pack, prepared to be hunted.
Scott Norton quickly beats Scott Putski.
Hollywood Hogan, Eric Bischoff and The Disciple show up. Hogan says that everyone realized by now that nWo Hollywood plays no games, even after WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon put a wrinkle in their plans with War Games, it would be an honor to enter War Games and take down both WCW and nWo Wolfpac en route to becoming World Heavyweight champ and taking professional wrestling into the new millennium. He says he will have to "etch the lesson" into Diamond Dallas Page's forehead that Bischoff is the boss and that DDP can't get it done and couldn't even get anyone if he tried. Hogan asks who could possibly have ever bested him, and says there is no wrestler he cannot beat, no war he cannot win, and no warrior he cannot beat. Right after this, the lights start dimming in and out before the arena goes dark and police sirens can be heard. Fire can be seen on the stage, then a figure comes out of the ring entrance and heads down the ramp. Hogan is in shock as he realizes who this is: The Ultimate Warrior, who hasn't been seen on television since his ugly exit from WWF in 1996. Hogan says he thought Warrior was dead, but the crowd chants for The Warrior before he asks who holds the absolute power now. Warrior says that no formal introduction is about to be necessary, and that it even seems that a few people anticipated his arrival. Hogan takes off his tanktop and tries to hand it to The Ultimate Warrior, then asks "What's that smell?" before telling him to use it to clean up the mess he made all over himself He then tells Hogan to open his eyes and ears, and take control of the limited ability he has to understand the words he is about to say. For years, he has watched while the industry, with Hogan as its figurehead, recreate what is unrecreateable. He has heard and listened to all the innuendos and speculation that something ultimate may reappear, and that he is that reappearance. Those that are irreplaceable are never forgotten, and Hogan is witnessing this right now. The Warrior then declares that history states that a man's legacy is built from the premise that within his life, the moments lived, once lived, become a piece of his history. Somehow, Hogan has conveniently and even eloquently misplaced pieces of his history. In the one epic battle between them, Hogan was the quintessential influence in what was good, great and heroic, but it was he who won out (a reference to WrestleMania 6) and that Hogan never beat a Warrior, especially not The Ultimate Warrior. As the victor of that one-time battle, he defeated what was, until then, undefeatable, conquered what was until then unconquerable, dominated what was until then indomitable. On that day, Hogan was great, but he was ultimate. He then guesses that The Disciple is Hogan's barber (a reference to The Disciple originally being Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake) before asking who Eric Bischoff is. Bischoff introduces himself, and asks Warrior who invited him. The Ultimate Warrior says he invited himself, and that if if Bischoff gets in his business, he had better prepare for his own demise. Once he's done with his business, he will send Bischoff a bill, and suggests Bischoff pay it. He has waited patiently, as have the fans, and now the virtue of justice unties his hands so that he can continue to fulfill a destiny at the next level beckoning for the next superhero that was set in motion at WrestleMania 6. The Warrior says there is no sadder sight that when a grown fears the challenges in his life so much that he rationalizes adolescent behavior to the point that he carries out heinous, self-indulgent actions, and that Hogan's evilness is intolerable before he says he has the power to destroy him. The truth is inexhaustible, and he is not here to beat Hogan up, as it means nothing anymore and that everyone already has. The Warrior says Hogan felt guilty about who he was, and that Hulkamania became boring for him. Next week, he plans to launch a revolution that not even Hogan can control, and asks him to find the courage. We then see static on the videoscreens in the arena, and fog covers the ring before the arena fades to black and pyrotechnics go off. The Warrior then vanishes. We then see a spotlight with the Warrior's logo on it somewhere in the arena.

Curt Hennig beats Dean Malenko with the distraction and interference from Rick Rude.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.
Scott Hall comes out with half of his body taped up along with a surgeon and with Buff Bagwell. Scott Steiner says he sees a lot of sad faces in the crowd, as he is hurt. He also sees a bunch of idiots who don't understand why he is taped up like he is. Scott explains that he is taped up due to an unprovoked attack in which his brother Rick Steiner hit him in the elbow, and that the elbow bone is connected to the shoulder bone which is connected to the neck bone which if connected to the hip bone. This is why he also brought Dr. Cecil Schwartz, who says "Right on!" when Scott asks if his injury is serious. Scott says he could beat his brother with half a body, but he will not and he cannot go against his doctor's orders. Buff asks Scott to hold his taped up arm up after he drops it, and Scott cannot. Dr. Cecil Schwartz says there is no way of knowing if Scott will be ready by September 13th, saying "Right on!" Rick Steiner shows up, and says he is sick and tired of Scott and Buff talking trash, and says he's getting ready for the match at Fall Brawl, and says he will beat the hell out of him regardless of what Scott shows up in. Buff dares Rick to get in the ring, and Scott says he will prove he is the better Steiner Brother at Fall Brawl.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
Chris Jericho retains the WCW World Television Championship against Stevie Ray and Chavo Guerrero, Jr. in a Triangle Match. (The match was originally Chavo Guerrero, Jr. vs. Stevie Ray for the title, but Chris Jericho attacked Chavo last week and beat Stevie for the title.) During the match, Stevie Ray shoulder tackles the referee, then hits Chris Jericho with a blackjack. As Chavo has Stevie Ray in a sleeper, The Giant shows up and choke slams Stevie Ray before leaving. All three men are down, then Jericho pulls referee Mickey Jay away as he gets up. Chavo accidentally rolls out of the ring on his way back up to his feet, and Stevie Ray fails to get up at all.
Bret "The Hit Man" Hart retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Diamond Dallas Page. Before the match, it is announced that The Ultimate Warrior (who goes by the name The Warrior at this point) is one of the participants for Team WCW at War Games. During the match, Bret whips DDP into referee Nick Patrick, sandwiching Patrick into the corner. He then tries to hit DDP with a foreign object before placing it in DDP's trunks before the pinfall, but DDP kicks out after the referee comes to. After a Diamond Cutter and a failed pin attempt where Bret puts his foot on the rope, Bret tells referee Nick Patrick about the foreign object, and retains the title when Patrick finds it on DDP.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls, which also involves the new WCW Bashin' Brawlers.
Goldberg retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against The Giant by disqualification after The Disciple interferes. Both THe Giant and The Disciple get Speared, and The Disciple eats a Jackhammer. Scott Hall rushes in and attacks Goldberg, but Kevin Nash runs in and boots The Giant. Nash grabs Hall by the back of the head, but Hall gets away and Goldberg accidentally spears Nash. Goldberg and Nash are about to go at it when the show ends.

He also sees a bunch of idiots who don't understand why he is taped up like he is. Scott explains that he is taped up due to an unprovoked attack in which his brother Rick Steiner hit him in the elbow, and that the elbow bone is connected to the shoulder bone which is connected to the neck bone which if connected to the hip bone. This is why he also brought Dr. Cecil Schwartz, who says "Right on!" when Scott asks if his injury is serious. Scott says he could beat his brother with half a body, but he will not and he cannot go against his doctor's orders. Buff asks Scott to hold his taped up arm up after he drops it, and Scott cannot. Dr. Cecil Schwartz says there is no way of knowing if Scott will be ready by September 13th, saying "Right on!" Rick Steiner shows up, and says he is sick and tired of Scott and Buff talking trash, and says he's getting ready for the match at Fall Brawl, and says he will beat the hell out of him regardless of what Scott shows up in. Buff dares Rick to get in the ring, and Scott says he will prove he is the better Steiner Brother at Fall Brawl.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
Chris Jericho retains the WCW World Television Championship against Stevie Ray and Chavo Guerrero, Jr. in a Triangle Match. (The match was originally Chavo Guerrero, Jr. vs. Stevie Ray for the title, but Chris Jericho attacked Chavo last week and beat Stevie for the title.) During the match, Stevie Ray shoulder tackles the referee, then hits Chris Jericho with a blackjack. As Chavo has Stevie Ray in a sleeper, The Giant shows up and choke slams Stevie Ray before leaving. All three men are down, then Jericho pulls referee Mickey Jay away as he gets up. Chavo accidentally rolls out of the ring on his way back up to his feet, and Stevie Ray fails to get up at all.
Bret "The Hit Man" Hart retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Diamond Dallas Page. Before the match, it is announced that The Ultimate Warrior (who goes by the name The Warrior at this point) is one of the participants for Team WCW at War Games. During the match, Bret whips DDP into referee Nick Patrick, sandwiching Patrick into the corner. He then tries to hit DDP with a foreign object before placing it in DDP's trunks before the pinfall, but DDP kicks out after the referee comes to. After a Diamond Cutter and a failed pin attempt where Bret puts his foot on the rope, Bret tells referee Nick Patrick about the foreign object, and retains the title when Patrick finds it on DDP.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls, which also involves the new WCW Bashin' Brawlers.
Goldberg retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against The Giant by disqualification after The Disciple interferes. Both THe Giant and The Disciple get Speared, and The Disciple eats a Jackhammer. Scott Hall rushes in and attacks Goldberg, but Kevin Nash runs in and boots The Giant. Nash grabs Hall by the back of the head, but Hall gets away and Goldberg accidentally spears Nash. Goldberg and Nash are about to go at it when the show ends.
Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 17, 1998
RAW
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin tries to force his way into WWF owner Vince McMahon's office backstage.
The show starts with a hearse backing up into the arena. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin comes out of the driver's seat, and gets in the ring to tell WWF owner Vince McMahon to either get in the ring or he'll sit there and drink about 23 more beers until he does. Pat Patterson shows up, followed by Gerald Brisco, followed by WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter. It is then and only then after Austin asks someone to fetch him another beer than Vince shows up. As Vince heads to the ring, it is announced that Vince McMahon will be live on America On-Line this Thursday night at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central (Keyword: WWF). Austin tells Vince he must be happy that he and The Undertaker are no longer tag team champs, but Vince says "not really." Austin says Vince is so full of crap it's unreal, but that is okay with him because he and The Undertaker are no longer "bound together" due to tag team gold, as he does not trust or depend on anybody. As for The Undertaker saying he pissed him off, Austin says he was "born pissed off." As for "having one foot in the grave," he plans to pull the foot out of the grave and put it in The Undertaker's ass to let him know how SummerSlam will be like before he beats him and stuffs him in the hearse. Austin threatens to stuff Vince in the hearse if he gets in his way, and chauffeur the three of them down the highway to Hell that is SummerSlam.
The rest of The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) are ejected from ringside before the next match.
Dan "The Beast" Severn beats "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and Owen Hart in a Triple Threat Match by choking Shamrock out as Owen kicks as Shamrock's abdomen. Owen and Severn continue to beat up Shamrock, but "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman shows up, attacks Owen and stares down Severn before checking on Shamrock. Severn then chokes out Blackman from behind, and Owen then attacks Blackman. Referees and officials have to rush in to restore order. Severn the does a double high-five with Owen Hart before leaving. Shamrock then snaps, and Blackman tells Shamrock he came in to save him. Shamrock calms down a little bit, then threatens to knock fifty pounds off WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter after he says something to him.
Bart Gunn beats "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa by knockout in the third round to continue to the finals of the Brawl For All Tournament. Before the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler calls President Bill Clinton (or in this case, an impersonator), who says that he "likes it Raw" and that "even Monica knows that." The Godfather considers giving Bart Gunn a choice to either fight him or spend a night with his hoes, but then decides against it and says he's going to kick his ass. After the match, Gunn from Jim Ross, to which Jim Ross replies "Nothing's given; you've earned it."
"The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock are seen tearing things up backstage while looking for Owen Hart and Dan "The Beast" Severn, while Gangrel - a man with a gothic, vampiric gimmick - is seen backstage waiting for his debut, which is next.
Michael Cole announces that Owen Hart's trainer for his Lion's Den Match against "The World's Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock is none other than Dan "The Beast" Severn. Owen and Severn have already left the building, but Shamorck and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman will make a statement concerning this later tonight.
Gangrel beats "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher in his Raw debut. Edge is seen in the crowd, paying close attention to Gangrel as he makes his entrance, which involved Gangrel coming out through a ring of fire in the stage and drinking blood from a goblet before spitting it out.
Michael Cole interviews "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, who says that there had better be two hospital beds for Owen Hart and Dan "The Beast" Severn, as he will pop every bone in their bodies. He then threatens to do the same to Michael Cole if he does not leave, before he and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman trash the backstage set.
Cameras are trained on the entrance to the arena as commentary waits on The Undertaker to arrive.
Michael Cole interviews D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) concerning their Street Fight with The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry). Before they can say anything, The Nation shows up and both sides brawl backstage. Referees and officials are quickly in place to try to stop the carnage.
The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) beat Faarooq and Scorpio. During the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler interviews "President Bill Clinton," who says that despite all the scandals, his job is getting done. Also during the match, the brawl between D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, Owen Hart, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) continues backstage, and the brouhaha quickly spills into the arena. The brawl between DX and The Nation distracts the referee, allowing Skull and 8-Ball to switch places after Scorpio hits the 450 Splash.
WAR ZONE
After the commercial break, the Street Fight between the brawl between D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) starts proper.
The Street Fight between the brawl between D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, X-Pac, "Road Dog" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia, D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) ends in chaos. During the match, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) get involved, attacking both X-Pac and "Road Dog" Jesse James as Jarrett cuts some of X-Pac's hair. Triple H is ganged up on by The Nation and even has his mouth busted open.
Tiger Ali Singh and Abu show up. Singh makes fun of America again, saying that the people of India are in way better condition than the people of America. We see footage of Abu training heavily, and we see that Abu is still caked in sweat from being unable to bathe himself afterward. Tiger Ali Singh then offers $500 cash to anyone who is willing to lock Abu's unwashed feet. Abu picks a person out of the audience, and Abu removes one of his socks so that he will lick the toe jam between Abu's toes, which the young man is all too eager to do. He gets his $500 and quickly leaves after showing it off on camera.
The arm wrestling contest between Sable and Jacqueline ends in controversy. Before the contest, Sable shows up with Jacqueline's bikini contest trophy and says that if she wants it back, to come and get it. During the arm wrestling contest, Jacqueline pushes the table onto Sable, and smashes the bikini contest trophy on Sable's back. "Marvelous" Marc Mero shows up, but The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silva) rush in and both Mero and Jacqueline flee. The Oddities check on Sable and help her up and to the back.
Michael Cole interviews Val Venis, who wants to run the gauntlet against Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki, Taka Michinoku, Yamaguchi-san) as he has been conditioned to run all night along, and if he wins, he gets five minutes with Yamaguchi-san during which he will show him what it's like to be severed at the head.
On Droz's World, Darren "Puke" Drozdov talks about his tattoos and body piercings.. We then see footage of some guy in a production room who says "anyone who yaks is an okay person in my book."
Bradshaw beats Darren "Puke" Drozdov to continue to the finals of the Brawl For ALl Tournament.
It is announced that Al Snow is back in the World Wrestling Federation. We then see Al Snow talking to Head, who is on the floor drunk. Al Snow has to take the keys to the car from Head, who is close to losing his license.
Backstage, an angry Sable heads to the ring.
Dustin Runnels says that according to the Bible, your body is a temple, and that we should be careful what we put into it. He asks wy one should poison their mind. He suggest that instead of watching the next segment, one should curl up with a good book like Oliver Twist, Ivanhoe, or his personal favorite, the New Testament. He says the viewer will be glad they did, and that He is coming back. We then see the "The preceding was sponsored by the Evangelists Against Television, Movies & Entertainment" message.
Sable shows up, and calls Jacqueline out so they can fight. Jacqueline is on the TitanTron, saying she wasn't born yesterday and that if they want to fight, they'll do it at SummerSlam in a mixed tag team match. The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silvan) then storm "Marvelous" Marc Mero's locker room and go after Mero and Jacqueline.
Michael Cole announces that The Undertaker has made it to the arena, and that it will not take long for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to find him. In case the two men go at it, cameras will be backstage to capture the action.
Before the next match, Val Venis shows up with a pink Super Soaker. It is announced that Val Venis will show up on Code Red at WWF.com. Val Venis then tells the ladies that they can forget about trying to blackmail him, because even though he is not a screamer -unlike Bill Clinton - after he leaves his mark, he always "Shouts it out" before imitating the act of squirting a spray bottle. When Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki, Taka Michinoku, Yamaguchi-san) shows up, WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter shows up and says only one man can be in or around the ring at any one time.
Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki, Taka Michinoku) beat Val Venis in a Gauntlet Match after Taka hits the Michinoku Driver on Val Venis. During the match, Jerry "The King" Lawler calls "Bill Clinton," who says that he did not have any improper relationships with Monica Lewinsky and that it was "just good sex." After the match, Kaientai beat up and mock Val Venis, and also hold Venis down as Mrs. Yamaguchi slaps Venis. Venis then pulls out his pink Super Soaker and soaks everyone in the ring, including Mrs. Yamaguchi-san.
The Undertaker and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin confront each other in the ring. It is then revealed that Kane is in the ring with Austin, not The Undertaker, and is wearing The Undertaker's robe and clothes. Kane attacks Austin, and both men brawl in and out of the ring and into the crowd until Austin tosses Kane into the hearse and closes the back door. Austin tries to get in the hearse, but finds out that the door is locked and that the real Undertaker is in the driver's seat. The Undertaker drives away with Kane in the back to end the show.

Kane and Mankind retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Darren "Puke" Drozdov).
"Marvelous" Marc Mero and Jacqueline show up. Jacqueline tells Sable to get "her Madison Avenue butt down here" as she has something to say to her, and tells her to put down "those ring things" and the cheap wine. Sable shows up and says she likes her wine fine and her men even finer, and that the only cheap thing around here is Jacqueline's perfume as well as Jacqueline's "day rate." Jacqueline demands her bikini contest trophy back, and says Sable does not want any part of her in the ring. She then says they can wrestle for it, and dares Sable to put "that toothpick arm" into play. Sable tells Jacqueline she will beat her at whatever game she has, whether it be a bikini contest, a wrestling match or an arm-wrestling contest, and that she is always ready to drop the bomb on her.
Edge beats "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher. During the match, Dustin Runnels is seen walking around in the crowd carrying a sign saying "The Choice Is Yours" on one side and "He's Coming Back" on the other. Scott "Too Hot" Taylor runs in after the match, but Edge lays him out with a clothesline.

Tiger Ali Singh shows up in the ring with a manservant named Abu (who is portrayed by former Light Heavyweight Division wrestler Pablo Marquez and later named Babu). Singh says he believes that Americans have no class, no morals and no ethics, and that they are not prideful like the people of his country of India. He then says American will lower themselves to any depths for the almighty dollar and that he has proven this week after week, and that they have no more backbone than the "common, ordinary nightcrawler." After the camera cuts to Abu holding a worm, Singh claims he will pay any American $500 to come in the ring and eat the worm. A man in a D-Generation X shirt is picked out of the front row, and the man eats the worm with almost no hesitation and receives the $500, much to the delight of the crowd.

The Undertaker then tells Austin he came to the ring and challenged him like a man, and when he became the #1 contender for the WWF Championship, he vowed to him that he would be the safest S.O.B. in the World Wrestling Federation. He says that he has done everything he said he was going to do, and did everything he could to protect his investment in the WWF Championship, but the one person he could not protect him from was himself, as Austin has pissed him off. Austin is seen leaving the room and heading to the ring as The Undertaker says he came after him like a man just like he will at SummerSlam, and while he will be in his face, Austin has one foot in the grave. He tells Austin that if he is hell-bent on self-destruction, then he will meet him at the intersection to the Highway to Hell and he will take the WWF Championship from him. Austin shows up, but as he comes halfway down the aisle, Kane shows up to end the show as Austin is caught between Kane and The Undertaker.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for August 10, 1998
The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls. Kimberly is noticeably absent, due to what happened to her and husband Diamond Dallas Page in the last couple of weeks and because DDP is not in the building.
It is announced that according to the WCW Executive Committee, the results of Road Wild's main event cannot be discussed on commentary in any way on tonight's show, and that a WCW official will talk about what happened that night later on in the show.
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan beats The Barbarian with a schoolboy pin. Before the match, it is announced that the encore for Road Wild is tomorrow night on pay-per-view. After the match, Hacksaw is about to toss Jimmy Hart off the top rope when Hugh Morrus shows up and attacks him. Meng rushes in and boots Hugh Morrus before going after both The Barbarian and Jimmy Hart with the Tongan Death Grip. Head of WCW security Doug Dellinger also gets the Tongan Death Grip when he tries to break it up, as do Hacksaw and a few other members of security when they all try to calm him down.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Lex Luger. Luger says that he is not one to mince words, and says two guys were involved in what happened to him last week. He's already gotten a piece of Scott Hall, and then reveals that the other man involved was who he should have suspected long ago: Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. Luger says he is not leaving until he gets a match with Bret tonight. Bret shows up, calling Luger "a damn liar" as he was nowhere near him when he was attacked, and that he made it all up because he's not good enough to be United States champ. He says that Luger is jealous that he is United States champ, has a working relationship with Hollywood Hogan and that Sting is like a brother to him. Luger says that Bret has nothing he wants except the United States title, and tells Bret to either put the title on the line or have his teeth knocked out right now. Bret accepts Luger's challenge.
Before the next match, Alex Wright chews Tokyo Magnum out, telling him that he has been a disappointment to them and should committee harikiri. Disco Inferno tells him to shape up or ship out if he wants to continue worshiping him, and tells him that he is on his own as his opponent is Eddie Guerrero.
Eddie Guerrero beats Tokyo Magnum.
Before the next match, Saturn calls out Kanyon, saying he was supposed to be his partner twice and never showed up.
Kanyon beats Saturn after Lodi distracts referee Mickey Jay and Raven hits Saturn with an Evenflow DDT.
Meng is seen fighting more members of WCW security backstage, immobilizing them with the Tongan Death Grip.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
Scott Wilson and the students Waupakeneta High School in Wuapakaneta, Ohio are the grand prize winner of the Nitro Party contest. Next week, "Mean" Gene Okerlund and the Nitro Girls will be live at the high school for a live Nitro Party.
Steve "Mongo" McMichael beats Sick Boy.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.
Hollywood Hogan, The Disciple and Eric Bischoff show up. "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko almost breaks protocol on the Road Wild main event results being verboten. Hogan announces that the wrestling world is in a whole lot of trouble, as Jay Leno is on the shelf and Diamond Dallas Page is about to be swept under the carpet, as nWo Hollywood is back on track and the nWo-ites have been asking about the World title. Hogan then puts WCW and Goldberg on notice, and says the clock is ticking as he has beaten everyone and nobody has beaten him as he demands a World title shot. He tells WCW to bring him Goldberg on a silver platter so that WCW won't have any embarrassments and that he can take the World title back. Hogan then allows Bischoff to give the fans a "public service announcement:" since Meng has decimated WCW security, he and Hogan will provide nWo Hollywood security for the match between Meng and Goldberg tonight so that nothing bad happens to the fans and it can be a fair match.
It is announced that nWo Wolfpac have a response to nWo Hollywood, stating that they will be out in full force during the Meng vs. Goldberg match later tonight.
Before the next match, Chris Jericho shows up with Pepe and tells him he has found him. When Chavo tries to take Pepe back, Chris Jericho lures him backstage so he can beat him up. Jericho shows up and de-constructs Pepe before getting in the ring, replacing Chavo in the match, and tells Stevie Ray that since Chavo is "busy in the back with Pepe" and that he grew up on "the mean streets of Calgary, Alberta, Canada," he'll be glad to take him on. Stevie Ray tells Jericho he didn't come to see him run his mouth, and if Jericho wants a shot at the World Television Championship, they can get it on.
Chris Jericho beats Stevie Ray to become the WCW World Television Champion! During the match, Chris Jericho kicks referee Mark Curtis in the groin as he has Stevie Ray in the corner, allowing The Giant to rush in and headbutt Stevie Ray before hitting him with the choke slam. Jericho wakes up Anderson, then locks the Lion Tamer in on Stevie Ray, who is knocked out, and wins the title.

It is then realized by the commentary team that they were had all along, as the WCW executive in question was Bischoff the whole time.

The rest of nWo Wolfpac celebrates with Luger in the ring after the match. Pyrotechnics then signal the start of the third hour.
Juventud Guerrera retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Kidman.
Before the next match, Raven says that the Flock has let him down, after they failed to show up for Road Wild. Raven hits Riggs with an Evenflow DDT, calls Lodi "worthless," and slaps Horace for costing him the match before attacking him.
Horace beats Raven. During the match, Kanyon shows up and is confronted by the entire Flock. This allows Saturn to come out through the crowd, hit Raven with a Death Valley Driver into the stop sign, and place Horace on top of Raven.

Referee Billy Silverman stops the punch, but the chain flies off and Konnan grabs the chain to choke Hennig from behind with it. The referee sees the chain and disqualifies Konnan.
Sting and Kevin Nash beat Scott Hall and The Giant by disqualification after The Giant choke slams the referee. Scott Hall and The Giant retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships.
nWo Hollywood and nWo Wolfpac show up and head to ringside for the next match.
Goldberg retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Meng, after Meng lets go of the Tongan Death Grip thinking he has won. Goldberg is attacked by nWo Hollywood, but it has no effect on his ability to win. After the match, Hollywood Hogan hits Goldberg in the back with a steel chair, and Kevin Nash wrestles the chair away from Hogan, who then rolls out of the ring. When Goldberg gets back up from the chair shot, he believes that Kevin Nash hit him with the chair, and breaks him in half with a Spear to end the show.
It is announced that according to the WCW Executive Committee, the results of Road Wild's main event cannot be discussed on commentary in any way on tonight's show, and that a WCW official will talk about what happened that night later on in the show.
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan beats The Barbarian with a schoolboy pin. Before the match, it is announced that the encore for Road Wild is tomorrow night on pay-per-view. After the match, Hacksaw is about to toss Jimmy Hart off the top rope when Hugh Morrus shows up and attacks him. Meng rushes in and boots Hugh Morrus before going after both The Barbarian and Jimmy Hart with the Tongan Death Grip. Head of WCW security Doug Dellinger also gets the Tongan Death Grip when he tries to break it up, as do Hacksaw and a few other members of security when they all try to calm him down.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Lex Luger. Luger says that he is not one to mince words, and says two guys were involved in what happened to him last week. He's already gotten a piece of Scott Hall, and then reveals that the other man involved was who he should have suspected long ago: Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. Luger says he is not leaving until he gets a match with Bret tonight. Bret shows up, calling Luger "a damn liar" as he was nowhere near him when he was attacked, and that he made it all up because he's not good enough to be United States champ. He says that Luger is jealous that he is United States champ, has a working relationship with Hollywood Hogan and that Sting is like a brother to him. Luger says that Bret has nothing he wants except the United States title, and tells Bret to either put the title on the line or have his teeth knocked out right now. Bret accepts Luger's challenge.
Before the next match, Alex Wright chews Tokyo Magnum out, telling him that he has been a disappointment to them and should committee harikiri. Disco Inferno tells him to shape up or ship out if he wants to continue worshiping him, and tells him that he is on his own as his opponent is Eddie Guerrero.
Eddie Guerrero beats Tokyo Magnum.
Before the next match, Saturn calls out Kanyon, saying he was supposed to be his partner twice and never showed up.
Kanyon beats Saturn after Lodi distracts referee Mickey Jay and Raven hits Saturn with an Evenflow DDT.
Meng is seen fighting more members of WCW security backstage, immobilizing them with the Tongan Death Grip.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.
Hollywood Hogan, The Disciple and Eric Bischoff show up. "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko almost breaks protocol on the Road Wild main event results being verboten. Hogan announces that the wrestling world is in a whole lot of trouble, as Jay Leno is on the shelf and Diamond Dallas Page is about to be swept under the carpet, as nWo Hollywood is back on track and the nWo-ites have been asking about the World title. Hogan then puts WCW and Goldberg on notice, and says the clock is ticking as he has beaten everyone and nobody has beaten him as he demands a World title shot. He tells WCW to bring him Goldberg on a silver platter so that WCW won't have any embarrassments and that he can take the World title back. Hogan then allows Bischoff to give the fans a "public service announcement:" since Meng has decimated WCW security, he and Hogan will provide nWo Hollywood security for the match between Meng and Goldberg tonight so that nothing bad happens to the fans and it can be a fair match.
It is announced that nWo Wolfpac have a response to nWo Hollywood, stating that they will be out in full force during the Meng vs. Goldberg match later tonight.
Before the next match, Chris Jericho shows up with Pepe and tells him he has found him. When Chavo tries to take Pepe back, Chris Jericho lures him backstage so he can beat him up. Jericho shows up and de-constructs Pepe before getting in the ring, replacing Chavo in the match, and tells Stevie Ray that since Chavo is "busy in the back with Pepe" and that he grew up on "the mean streets of Calgary, Alberta, Canada," he'll be glad to take him on. Stevie Ray tells Jericho he didn't come to see him run his mouth, and if Jericho wants a shot at the World Television Championship, they can get it on.
Chris Jericho beats Stevie Ray to become the WCW World Television Champion! During the match, Chris Jericho kicks referee Mark Curtis in the groin as he has Stevie Ray in the corner, allowing The Giant to rush in and headbutt Stevie Ray before hitting him with the choke slam. Jericho wakes up Anderson, then locks the Lion Tamer in on Stevie Ray, who is knocked out, and wins the title.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 10, 1998
RAW
The show starts with Mankind swinging a steel chair at things, saying he is not afraid of the truth and that he wants the truth.
Mankind takes the steel chair into the ring after the show intro, and says he is sick of being lied to and deceived, and would like the truth. He has finally realized, as much as it hurts, that there is only one man who has ever really given him the truth: WWF owner Vince McMahon, and calls him to the ring, demanding the truth. Mankind hands Vince the microphone, and Vince says that it must be humiliating for him to ask him to come out and help him find the truth, and says he detests people who need help and loathe people who rely on pillars of strength like him to get through the day, and that the mere sight of the infirmed and the invalid make his stomach turn. Mankind, however, is a special case, as he knows him and says he did not really invite him to the ring to help him, but instead to hurt him, and and hurt him he will, as when the truth is told, it hurts. Last week, Kane could have struck either Mankind or The Undertaker, and that it was no accident that he was hit in the head with a steel chair. When The Undertaker snatched the chair away, he could have annihilated Kane but went for Mankind instead. He then mentions what happened last night on Sunday Night Heat when The Undertaker disguised himself as Kane, and that it could have been Kane as Kane and The Undertaker are in cahoots against not only "Stone Cold" Steve Austin or Mankind, but the entire WWF roster, and that Kane and The Undertaker are one and the same. Kane and Paul Bearer show up, and Paul Bearer tells Vince to listen to him. It may be true that Vince may be the big manipulator in WWF and get in Mankind's mind, but he will be damned if Vince gets in his mind or Kane's mind. He asks Vince how he would feel if someone tried to poison his son's mind much like Vince has poisoned Kane's, and says he has watched Kane suffer for 20 years and that he will be damned if Vince ruins it. Bearer goes on to say he has been in the WWF for seven years and has made a lot of money thanks to Vince, and that he doesn't need him anymore and that he and Kane can hit the road if need be. However, Paul Bearer thinks it would only make Vince happy. Vince then points at Kane and says that Kane is not Paul Bearer's son and that Kane is a "son-of-a-bitch," and that Undertaker is disguised as Kane right now as he can smell the stench of death on him. He commands Kane to take the mask off or he will rip it off for him. Bearer says he will not touch Kane, and Vince goes for Kane's mask when the arena suddenly goes dark. When the lights come back, The Undertaker is in the ring with his hand on Vince's throat, and he is not dressed as Kane. Vince runs off, and The Undertaker beats up Mankind and Paul Bearer before chasing Vince to the back.
The Undertaker is seen entering the locker room...and Kane is inside.
Sable is special guest ring announcer for the next match. When Luna Vachon shows up with The Oddities (Kurrgan, Giant Silva Golga), the three of them are no longer with The Jackal or the Howard Stern characters.
Luna Vachon beats Jacqueline after Sable shakes the top rope to crotch Jacqueline on the top rope as the referee is preoccupied with "Marvelous" Marc Mero. After the match, Sable hands Jacqueline's bikini contest trophy to Luna.
The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) come to the arena in a limousine, and they are not in a good mood.
Darren "Puke" Drozdov beats Savio Vega on points to continue to the semi-finals of the Brawl For All Tournament, with Droz nearly knocking Vega out on at least two occasions.
"Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna show up in a powder blue BMW sports car.
Chyna tells Michael Cole to suck it before pushing him into her and "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley's sports car.
L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) are on their way to the ring to face Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) when Hawk falls off the ramp when their pyro hits. Animal is irritated.
After the break, WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter tells Road Warrior Hawk he is not competing tonight, as it is evident that Hawk's personal problems are still a thing and Hawk insists there is nothing wrong with him. Animal has to face Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) alone. Dennis Knight confronts Hawk, and Hawk jumps on Knight before Southern Justice beat up Animal. As Hawk is carried off to the back, insisting nothing is wrong with him, Darren "Puke" Drozdov fights off Southern Justice before "Double J" Jeff Jarrett, now with shorter hair and facial hair, gets in the ring, hits Droz in the head with a guitar with the words "Don't piss me off!" on the back and proceeds to cut his hair.
The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), X-Pac, and the duo of "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley all make separate entrances. Triple H is about to tell the crowd where D-Generation X (Triple H, Chyna, X-Pac, Road Dog, Billy Gunn) stands when X-Pac takes the mic and says he is tired of Triple H "and his bitch," and calls Triple H and Cyna "a couple of jackoffs." Triple H counters by saying the world's biggest jack-off is standing right in front of him and that Road Dog and Billy Gunn are two of the biggest jackoffs he's ever seen in his life. Triple H says that everyone in DX is a jack-off and that everyone is in agreement that they're all a bunch of jack-offs. Since they are all in agreement that they are a bunch of jack-offs and that they should do "the DX split." Instead of actaulylly splitting up, they decide to moon the crowd. Chyna grabs the microphone and asks Triple H and the rest of DX is if it ever occurred to them that the crowd is tired of seeing their asses every week. Triple H says no, and asks what the point is. Chyna says that if anyone is initiating a DX split, it's going to be her. Chyna ends up mooning the crowd instead, and, and the rest of DX celebrates while Triple H also moons the crowd himself.
Michael Cole interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin only to be taken into a shower and squirted with water from a shower head.
WAR ZONE
Before the next match, Bart Gunn tells Jim Ross to give him some respect, as he knocked out "Dr. Death" Steve Williams and that J.R. and the WWF keeps making excuses for him. Jim Ross admits that Bart Gunn was the better man, and that if he has a problem, his next Brawl For All opponent is in the ring right now. Bart Gunn says that if Vader doesn't knock "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa, he will, and that somebody is getting knocked out tonight. He then watches from ringside. The Godfather then asks Vader if he's ever been with a ho, and if he even knows what a ho is. He then cuts to the chase and offers Vader a choice between fighting him or spending the night with some of his finest hos, knowing full well Vader wants to fight him. Vader takes the hos, then tells Bart Gunn that if he has the same opportunity, to take the women. Bart Gunn knocks Vader out, then goes after The Godfather before referees and officials try to restore order.
Val Venis and John Wayne Bobbitt show up at the arena.
Dustin Runnels is shown on-screen wanting to talk about choices, stating that the segment deals with explicit subject manner and contains numerous genitalia, adultery and fornication references, and that it is also rife with gratuitous violence unfit for family viewing. He then says that the fans of the World Wrestling Federation can choose to send a message of the WWF by spending time watching quality programming, violent sensationalist nonsense, and that right now, there is a special on reptiles on Discovery Channel that is a better way to spend the evening. He then tells the parents that it is through their choices that they can prepare their children for eternal life, and that He is coming back. We then learn that the preceding message was sponsored by The Evangelists Against Television, Movies and Entertainment (which is acronym form is "EATME").
Val Venis is wheeled out to the ring by John Wayne Bobbitt and accompanied by Mrs. Yamaguchi-san. There is an ice pack located on Venis' genitalia, implying that Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki, Yamaguchi-San) and Taka Michinoku has gotten the job done. "Jerry "The King" Lawler interviews Venis, who says that he comes to the fans a humble man and half the man that he used to be, and says if you live by the sword, you die by the sword. He says there is only one way to stomp the mighty boa, and that is to separate it at the head. He then tells the ladies to take a rain check on "those new snakeskin boots," because The Big Valbowski is alive and ready to bite. Val Venis takes off his clothes and reveals his wrestling trunks underneath, revealing his privates are alive and well. He says that thanks to a cold butcher's block, a little shrinkage and John Wayne Bobbitt cutting the lights, he is standing at full attention, cocked, locked and ready to unload. Bobbitt says he and Venis have had a great time, and he and Lawler make some penis-chopping jokes before Val Venis tells Mrs. Yamaguchi-san that no woman is worth the trouble she gave him and that they are breaking up. As Mrs. Yamaguchi-san leaves, Val Venis hands her a AA battery.

Bradshaw beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero to continue to the semi-finals of the Brawl For All Tournament after four rands. Before the match, it is announced that Mero is back in the tournament and replacing "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman as Blackman has received a knee injury while training. During the match, the third match ends in a draw, and a fourth round occurs, much to the displeasure of the crowd.
Michael Cole interviews The Undertaker, who tells him that he will be doing his explaining in the ring.
The team of Kane and Mankind beat The Nation ("The Rock" Rocky Maivia and D'Lo Brown), the team of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Undertaker and The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dog" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) in a Four Corners Tag Team Match to become theWWF Tag Team Champions. Before the match, it is announced that "The Outlaw Rule" is in effect, meaning that one wrestler cannot pin their partner to win the match. "THe World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock then shows up and attacks Owen Hart before putting him in the anke lock, and THe Nation (The Rock, Owen Hart, "The Godfather" Kama Mustafa ,D'Lo Brown, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry) and D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Hemlsley, Chyna, X-Pac, Road Dogg, Jesse James) brawl. Due to the attack on Owen Hart by Shamrock, D'Lo Brown replaces Owen Hart in the match.
After Raw goes off the air, The Undertaker tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin he wants the WWF Championship before leaving the ring.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for August 9, 1998
Paul Bearer, Kane and Mankind show up to start tonight's show. Mankind says that on the day before King of the Ring, knowing full well his life would never be the same, he went out and took his two little children to Santa's Village, and as he sat on the roller coaster, his four-year-old daughter reached up and kissed him on the cheek, and when he asked why, she said "Because, Daddy, you're a good man." He says it was the most beautiful thing he had ever heard, and the very next day, The Undertaker tried to take all of that away from him. He tells the crowd they are scum that don't deserve to be in the same arena as him, and then talks about how The Undertaker pushed him off the top of the cell into the announce table before choke slamming him through the cell ceiling, all the while unable to keep him down. With his arm hanging by a thread, his tongue poking through a hole below his lip and one of his teeth stuck in his nose, he finished the match because he could, and Jim Ross sat there and said that if ever a man deserved a standing ovation, it would have to be him. He then says that out of a crowd of 20,000 people, 200 people cheered as the rest saw the WWF's "toughest son-of-a-bitch" and were too stupid to know. Mankind says two things became very clear: he cannot and will wrestle ever again except for the acceptance of the fans, and his career will never end in a blaze of glory and he will slowly lose all of his bodily functions while nobody gives a damn. He then tells The Undertaker to somewhere and somehow find the courage to face him man-to-man, as he will not give the satisfaction of putting the final nail in the coffin of Mankind. He then says that if he does, then he will tear him apart.
Vader beats "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry by disqualification after Mark Henry hits Vader with repeated body splashes after Vader busts his mouth open.
Backstage, Michael Cole reports that he has been able to speak with The Undertaker and confirms The Undertaker has heard what Mankind had to say at the top of the show. He also reports that The Undertaker was in no mood to conduct an interview with him, but The Undertaker did say that he has a statement later tonight and that he will be waiting by The Undertaker's locker room.
The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) vs. Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) ends in a double disqualification after "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and Darren "Puke" Drozdov get involved and the match gets out of control.
X-Pac beats Taka Michinoku. During the match, a joint press conference between Val Venis and John Wayne Bobbitt is announced for tomorrow night on Raw. After the match, the rest of Kaientai (Sho Funaki, Dick Togo, Men's Teioh) run in and attack X-Pac, then the rest of D-Generation X (Triple H, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) run into fight Kaientai. As Yamaguchi-San backs away into the ring, he accidentally backs into Chyna, who hits him with a forearm that causes him to roll down the ramp and into Taka.
Backstage, Michael Cole reports that he was invited into The Undertaker's locker room concerning his statement towards Mankind; however, when The Undertaker noticed the cameraman following him, the cameraman was pushed away.
Bradshaw beats Dustin Runnels. During the match, it is announced that Triple H will be guesting on Pacific Blue, coming up after Sunday Night Heat. It is then announced that Darren "Puke" Drozdov has recently challenged "Double J" Jeff Jarrett to a match, and that the challenge has been accepted on Jarrett's behalf by Tennessee Lee and will take place later tonight.
We see another edition of Droz's World where Darren "Puke" Drozdov talks about other people's reactions to his tattoos.
Darren "Puke" Drozdov beats "Double J" Jeff Jarrett. During the match, Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) show up, briefly distracting Drozdov. They are later met by The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh), who distract the referee as Tennessee Lee tosses one of his cowboy boots to Jarrett. Droz grabs the boot instead, and hits Jarrett with the boot to get the win. After the match, Jarrett argues with Tennessee Lee, and the argument gets physical as Jarrett pushes Tennessee Lee only for Lee to push back. Tennessee Lee tells Jarrett that he is the problem, but when he sics Southern Justice on Jarrett, Southern Justice turn on Tennessee Lee, beating him up along with Jarrett. Jarrett then tells the crowd that if they don't like him and Southern Justice, they can kiss his ass.
Paul Bearer, Kane and Mankind show up again. Mankind is seen carrying an ice scraper to the ring, and says that tonight, he will tear The Undertaker apart. All of a sudden, Kane grabs Mankind by the throat and tosses him off the apron and into a commentary table before punching Paul Bearer out. After hitting Mankind with the steel steps and stomping Paul Bearer, he hits Mankind with the Tombstone Piledriver before removing his mask and revealing himself to be The Undertaker in disguise the whole time to end the show.

X-Pac beats Taka Michinoku. During the match, a joint press conference between Val Venis and John Wayne Bobbitt is announced for tomorrow night on Raw. After the match, the rest of Kaientai (Sho Funaki, Dick Togo, Men's Teioh) run in and attack X-Pac, then the rest of D-Generation X (Triple H, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) run into fight Kaientai. As Yamaguchi-San backs away into the ring, he accidentally backs into Chyna, who hits him with a forearm that causes him to roll down the ramp and into Taka.
Backstage, Michael Cole reports that he was invited into The Undertaker's locker room concerning his statement towards Mankind; however, when The Undertaker noticed the cameraman following him, the cameraman was pushed away.
Bradshaw beats Dustin Runnels. During the match, it is announced that Triple H will be guesting on Pacific Blue, coming up after Sunday Night Heat. It is then announced that Darren "Puke" Drozdov has recently challenged "Double J" Jeff Jarrett to a match, and that the challenge has been accepted on Jarrett's behalf by Tennessee Lee and will take place later tonight.
We see another edition of Droz's World where Darren "Puke" Drozdov talks about other people's reactions to his tattoos.
Darren "Puke" Drozdov beats "Double J" Jeff Jarrett. During the match, Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) show up, briefly distracting Drozdov. They are later met by The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh), who distract the referee as Tennessee Lee tosses one of his cowboy boots to Jarrett. Droz grabs the boot instead, and hits Jarrett with the boot to get the win. After the match, Jarrett argues with Tennessee Lee, and the argument gets physical as Jarrett pushes Tennessee Lee only for Lee to push back. Tennessee Lee tells Jarrett that he is the problem, but when he sics Southern Justice on Jarrett, Southern Justice turn on Tennessee Lee, beating him up along with Jarrett. Jarrett then tells the crowd that if they don't like him and Southern Justice, they can kiss his ass.
Paul Bearer, Kane and Mankind show up again. Mankind is seen carrying an ice scraper to the ring, and says that tonight, he will tear The Undertaker apart. All of a sudden, Kane grabs Mankind by the throat and tosses him off the apron and into a commentary table before punching Paul Bearer out. After hitting Mankind with the steel steps and stomping Paul Bearer, he hits Mankind with the Tombstone Piledriver before removing his mask and revealing himself to be The Undertaker in disguise the whole time to end the show.
