Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 8, 2022

Iyo Sky, Dakota Kai and Bayley head to the ring to start tonight's show. Bayley says the three of them are excited to see the fans, even though the fans are booing them, and says that while they do not want to be here, the fans need them. She says that she had to do something to salvage the Raw women's division, and says that the fans can't possibly enjoy Becky Lynch playing dress-up every week or cheering for Bianca Belair, saying Bianca would be nothing without her. Bayley says that the three of them had to make a statement by breaking Becky Lynch's shoulder and lighting a fire under the entire women's division in order to bring back what has been missing: the hunger. She says that the fans demand a women's division who is starving and hungry for more, but without her, nobody knows how to ask for her, and she says that to get better answers, to ask better questions. Bayley then asks how she found the potential of Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky and asks how mad they can be not to get opportunities, then Dakota Kai says they will show how mad they are by winning the Women's Tag Team Championship tournament. (In the midst of this, Bayley accidentally calls Dakota Kai "Dakota Sky," which ends up getting made fun of during and after the show.) Suddenly, Alexa Bliss, Asuka and Bianca Belair show up. Alexa says they are not winning the tournament, as they will eventually have to face her and Asuka, and they have more incentive to beat the hell out of them and win the tournament. Bianca says she is not done with Iyo Sky yet and is ready to finish what was started with her, then says that the three of them have no problem dealing with Bayley, Dakota and Iyo Sky right now. Bayley says she is the one calling the shots and that they should have a three-on-three match where it counts at Clash at the Castle. Bianca says "Challenge accepted." Bianca then says that while Bayley is trying to keep control, she feels like losing it. Both teams then brawl all over the ring. Officials eventually show up to restore order, even as the brawl spills out into the crowd and Alexa hits everyone with a cross body off the barricade.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins beats Angelo Dawkins with the Pedigree after Dawkins runs into the ring steps. After the match, Rollins hits Dawkins with The Stomp, then runs away after Montez Ford slides into the ring.

Backstage, Rey and Dominik Mysterio are met by Edge, who tells them that he has their backs. He says last week was an accident and that he did not mean to hit Dominik with a Spear. When Edge asks if they're cool, Dominik says "We're cool," then shoves Edge. Rey tells Dominik he's known Edge for 20 years, but Dominik says "You've known me for 25" and walks away. Rey tells Edge he will talk to Dominik.

We get a closer look at Tommaso Ciampa, courtesy of Sonic Drive-In.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews The Miz and Tommaso Ciampa. Miz chews out Kevin Patrick for using the word "phenomenal" and says that there is nothing phenomenal about "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles helping out Logan Paul. Ciampa says that Harley Race believed in him and trained him, and dedicates his win to Harley Race. We then see a red and blue robe with the word "Race" hung on a wall. Ciampa says that Harley Race will look down on him and that tonight is his moment when Bobby Lashley looks into his eyes and feels his sacrifice before realizing that he has already lost.

Kevin Owens vs. Ezekiel ends as soon as it begins with Owens powerbomb Ezekiel on the ring apron, injuring Ezekiel. The referee calls for medical assistance, and Ezekiel is put on a stretcher as Kevin Owens laughs.

We see footage of Elias being taken out on a stretcher.

Before the next match, Finn Balor says that Rey and Dominik Mysterio cannot get on the same page, then says that The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley) is not afraid because fear is not real and only a figment of one's imagination. He then says that danger is real and that Rey will find out that he is danger. Damian Priest then tells Edge that if he wanted to, he would lay Edge out, but in two weeks, they will be in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and he will challenge him to a one-on-one match then. He then says they can finish things if Edge still "has a set," and when that happens, The Judgment Day will end him.

Backstage, Rey Mysterio meets with Edge and says he cannot find Dominik Mysterio anywhere. Edge says his offer still stands, and Rey says that he knows Dominik and that Dominik will eventually come around.

Finn Balor beats Rey Mysterio. During the match, Edge shows up and brawls with Damian Priest through the crowd. Later in the match, Rhea Ripley shows up with a beaten-down Dominik Mysterio. This allows Finn Balor to hit a distracted Rey with the 1916 followed by the Coup de Grace for the win.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Dana Brooke and Tamina. Dana says it is an opportunity to become a double champion, and with all the competition, she needs a partner who will get her there. She considers Tamina her biggest competition, and that is why she is her partner. Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky show up and Bayley says they are coming for titles that suit them and that the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships suit them because she was among the first to hold them, even though they wouldn't know about that. Tamina says she does and tells Bayley to keep running her mouth, as she has no problem taking them out of the tournament. Dakota says she will see them in the ring, and Iyo Sky says she does not like Tamina.

Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai beat Dana Brooke and Tamina to advance in the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Tournament.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews Kevin Owens, who threatens to drop him harder than he did Ezekiel if he sneaks up on him again, then says he knows who he is - unlike Ezekiel - and that he is Kevin Owens. Kevin Owens says there are more eyes on the show than ever and that Raw is "The Kevin Owens Show." (As this goes on, there is a crashed car in the background, and Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop are near it along with two other people who work backstage.)

Dominik Mysterio is checked on in the trainer's room.

Bobby Lashley retains the WWE United States Championship against Tommaso Ciampa with the Hurt Lock. During the match, The Miz puts Ciampa's foot on the rope, and as Lashley stares down The Miz, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles chases The Miz through the crowd and through the ring. Despite Ciampa sending Lashley into an exposed turnbuckle, Lashley is able to win with the Hurt Lock.

In backstage footage from moments ago, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and The Miz brawl, and officials have to restore order. It is then announced that Styles vs. Miz in a no-disqualification match is official for later tonight.

"The Nigerian Giant" Omos beats Andrea Guercio and Spencer Slade in a two-on-one handicap match. (Andre Guercio is independent wrestler Mambo Italiano, and has previously performed in WWE as Sal Sergio.)

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Upon hearing that Matt Riddle has an exclusive interview next week and asked about what Riddle has to say about him, Rollins says he is done with Riddle and that Riddle will just use a lot of interjections and keep mentioning Randy Orton. Rollins says that he is the gatekeeper of the industry and that anyone who is good will have to get through him, and says that as good as he is at wrestling, Riddle is even better at flushing his reputation down the toilet and to "ask Dana White." He then says that Riddle will retire and hang up the flip flops for good, and if he does not, he will have to "Cody Rhodes his ass out the door." Rollins then says that if Riddle has something to say next week, then so does he.

We get a closer look at Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis), courtesy of Progressive.

Dolph Ziggler beats Chad Gable despite Chad Gable weaking his leg throughout the match.

Backstage, we hear from Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop. Nikki says they will be one step closer to the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships next week, and Doudrop says they will crush Alexa Bliss and Asuka's dreams in the process. We then hear from Alexa Bliss and Asuka. Alexa says that Nikki and Doudrop will manifest their dreams, not crush them. Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky show up and mock them, then security runs by. They leave and pass by "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, who is headed to the ring. (As Alexa Bliss and Asuka are cutting their promo, the crashed car from earlier is being towed.)

Despite interference from Tommaso Ciampa, who ends up being punched off the ring apron and falling through a table, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles beats The Miz in a no-disqualification match. After the match, someone is seen being arrested by three police officers in the front row. The man is quickly identified on Twitter and on WWE's Instagram as Dexter Lumis.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 18, 2022

WWE Global Ambassador Titus O'Neil is in the ring to start tonight's show. Titus says that when he accomplished all that he did in WWE, he thought that he had reached the height of his accomplishments, but little did he know that he would become a WWE Global Ambassador. He says that he gets to represent WWE all over the world, and that good will is needed all over the world more than ever. Titus says that WWE does all they can to put smiles on people's faces both in and out of the ring. He says that their community and military outreach brings people together to do good, and that WWE will never talk about divisive subject matter and that regardless of who one is, WWE is a place that everyone deserves to have as a safe haven and as a good time. He says that everyone is about to have a good time tonight, and welcomes everyone to Monday Night Raw.

Becky Lynch heads to the ring. She compares herself and her road back to championship gold to "The Little Engine That Could," then says to call herself "The Big Time Becks Express" and that nothing will stop her. She then says that every journey has its station, and while she has hit Derail Station, she has made it to Legendary Road and that the fans can get off at Appreciation Station when she becomes a champion. Becky then says she has been informed that the winner of tonight's women's championship match will have to defend the title against her, then says she could, will and can become champion. Suddenly, Bianca Belair shows up. Bianca calls Becky's actions from last week "foul" and that she had to distract her just to cost her her match, then says that this is her comeback story, not Becky's. She calls losing the SmackDown Women's Championship to her the lowest part of her career, and ever since then, she saw every opportunity as a chance to redeem her reputation, and one year later, she did just that with the Raw Women's Championship. She then says that after she beats Carmella tonight, she will rewrite the last chapter of her story and kick Becky's caboose all the way back to Ireland. Carmella then appears and tells Bianca she is making a big mistake overlooking her before bragging about last week's win, calling Becky's distraction convenient and saying Bianca was outmatched. She also says that if Becky loses that way again, she will become Raw Women's Champion, and as Bianca says she will remind everyone why she is the "EST of WWE," Becky and Carmella attack Bianca. Bianca fights back, but Becky hits Bianca with a Manhandle Slam.

Becky Lynch guests on commentary for the next match.

Bianca Belair retains the WWE Raw Women's Championship against Carmella. (Had Bianca lost by count-out, Carmella would have become the champion.) After the match, Becky lifts up the Raw Women's Championship, then drops it as she hands it back to Bianca on her way out.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford). Angelo Dawkins say they are going "from Nashville to Cashville," and that The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) will get a guitar shot if they get out of line. Montez Ford says that The Street Profits will become the undisputed tag team champions. Suddenly, MVP and Omos show up and mocks The Street Profits' luck as of late, and Dawkins dares them to step up if they have a problem. MVP says he will get with WWE official Adam Pearce to make a match.

It's time for The Kevin Owens Show. Tonight's guest is Matt Riddle. Owens says that he has had to step away from the last few months after trying to prove that Elias and Ezekiel were the same person and went to a nature retreat to find his inner peace, and he could not help but notice how cool and calm Riddle is. Owens says that he does not care about Elias and Ezekiel anymore and that he called Riddle out to The Kevin Owens Show because of his match against Seth "Freakin'" Rollins at SummerSlam. Owens says Rollins also caused him anguish by pretending to be his best friend and betrayed him as he tried to get on WrestleMania, then says that while RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) was good, "Bro-KO" would be great. Riddle calls Owens the biggest liar he knows, but Owens says he has turned over a new leaf and that he will prove that he will never lie again, after calling Orton the biggest snake in WWE, which Riddle takes offense to. Seth Rollins' music hits not once, but twice, and as Riddle dares Rollins to fight him, Rollins attacks him from behind and hits The Stomp. Rollins then clears the ring to hit The Stomp again.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews Seth "Freakin" Rollins, who says that Matt Riddle is so stupid that he drives him insane and that his stupidity is turning into arrogance. He says that Riddle thinks Randy Orton cares about him and that he can actually beat him at SummerSlam. Ezekiel suddenly confronts Rollins for his actions, but Rollins says he can do whatever we wants and nobody can stop him, and as Rollins says he can stomp Elias, Ezekiel tells Rollins not to mention his family. Rollins tells Ezekiel to stay out of his business, but Ezekiel says business is about to pick up.

Before the next match, Damian Priest says he and Finn Balor chose not to injure Dominik Mysterio because Dominik will make the right decision and join them, even going so far as to guarantee he will drop his father Rey Mysterio and join him. He says that Rey Mysterio is stifling Dominik Mysterio and holding back his true potential, then reminds the fans of what they did to Edge. As Finn Balor says he can watch their attack on Edge over and over again, Rey and Dominik Mysterio show up for the next match.

Damian Priest beats Rey Mysterio after countering the 619 with the Razor's Edge. After the match, Damian Priest and Finn Balor attack Rey and go for the Con-Chair-To. Damian says that Dominik Mysterio will join The Judgment Day (Priest, Balor, Rhea Ripley), or else they will take Rey's head off. Dominik tells them to stop and that he will join The Judgment Day. Priest tells Dominik that it does not work that way, then Finn Balor attacks both Rey and Dominik with a chair.

We see another weird vignette.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins beats Ezekiel.

Backstage, MVP and Omos are met by The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso), who say that Angelo Dawkins has no chance and that Omos will make it easy to beat The Street Profits (Dawkins and Montez Ford) at SummerSlam.

Backstage, we hear from The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and Damian Priest). Finn Balor says that Dominik Mysterio is not made of the right stuff and failed the test, and Priest says Dominik only joined them to save his father when he should have cracked his skull along with them. He says that next week, Rey and Dominik Mysterio will fall while they will rise.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) watch the next match from ringside.

Angelo Dawkins beats Omos by disqualification after MVP trips Dawkins from ringside. After the match, WWE official Adam Pearce shows up and makes a tag team match between The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and the team of MVP and Omos.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) beat MVP and Omos by disqualification after Jimmy Uso shoves Montez Ford off the top rope. After the match, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and Omos attack The Street Profits.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber is interrupted by Veer Mahaan, who jus says "Boo!" at Sarah and laughs before leaving. Sarah then interviews The Miz, who says that Logan Paul has come to his senses and that they will become tag team champions. He then says that if this is not the case, Logan Paul will find out why he will not like being his opponent.

Before the next match, Austin Theory says that SummerSlam is fast approaching and that he will take the United States title back from Bobby Lashley before cashing in his Money In The Bank contract to become Undisputed WWE Champion. He says that Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns are going to absolutely destroy each other, and after some footage of Brock Lesnar beating up Alpha Academy from last week plays, he says SummerSlam is the perfect opportunity to cash in. Theory says that he always comes through in the clutch and that the locker room not only does not like him because of it, but is also jealous of him. He also says that Dolph Ziggler attacked him because he is jealous. After footage from last week of Dolph Ziggler attacking him, Theory brags that nobody is on his level before "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles shows up. Styles says that Theory is making promises, then promises that regardless of what Theory gets done at SummerSlam, he will be the first to take championship gold from him. He also tells Theory that the locker room is not jealous of him and actually think he is "a big jackass." Theory says he has become the youngest United States Champion and the youngest Money In The Bank winner after less than a year on Raw, then mockingly asks Styles what he was doing at his age and that the fans should be calling him phenomenal. As Theory explains why Styles does not like him, Styles says that there is not enough time on the show for him to explain why, then says he is proud of where he came from and that he will be the man to knock respect into him before punching Theory. Suddenly, Dolph Ziggler shows up.

We see yet another weird vignette.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles beats Austin Theory by count-out after Dolph Ziggler superkicks Theory as soon as the referee checks on Styles. After the match, Styles hits Theory with the Styles Clash.

We see a video package detailing the history between Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch.

We see a video package about the 5th Annual Back to School Bash, hosted by Titus O'Neil's Bullard Family Foundation, which stuffed 30,000 backpacks with essential school supplies for children in need.

During the match, Akira Tozawa shows up and pinned Dana Brooke for the WWE 24/7 Championship, then Nikki A.S.H. pins him for it. Alexa Bliss hits Nikki with a DDT to win the title, then Doudrop hits her with a cross body to take the title from Alexa. Tamina then superkicks Doudrop to win the title, then Dana Brooke rolls Tamina up with a schoolkid pin to take the title back and run away, with Tamina giving chase. Asuka then puts Nikki A.S.H. in the Asuka Lock, and Nikki submits.

We hear from Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Dominik says he may have failed The Judgment Day's (Damian Priest and Finn Balor) test, but he lived up to the Mysterio family name and The Judgment Day do not know them. Rey says The Judgment Day are not the first to tear the family apart, and that next week, he will cap off his 20th anniversary celebration by showing them what it means to be a Mysterio.

We see footage of The Miz at the MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game.

It's time for Miz TV. Tonight's guest is Logan Paul. Logan Paul shows up and immediately asks Miz if he accepts his SummerSlam challenge. Miz tries to reason with him with footage from WrestleMania 38. but Miz's attack on Logan is not shown until Logan demands that footage be shown. Miz says that he nurtured his talent and that Logan Paul has loads of potential, but he has been doing this for years while Logan is a rookie. , but Miz's attack on Logan is not shown until Logan demands that footage be shown. Miz says that Logan is not ready and has to earn a match with him, and denies his challenge. Logan says he has been told he cannot do a lot of things, but he is in his prime and that he is more motivated to beat him at SummerSlam. Logan then promises to come back next week and host his own segment, but Miz still says no. Logan then says he expects that answer from someone with "blueberries in his pants" and starts a "tiny balls" chant. An angry Miz then accepts the challenge, then goes for a cheap shot only to overpowered by Logan Paul. Logan Paul is then attacked from behind by Tommaso Ciampa, but Logan Paul is able to escape. Afterwards, Sarah Schreiber interviews The Miz, who says there is only one Miz and only one Miz TV and that WWE is his house.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 11, 2022

Brock Lesnar heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Lesnar places his cowboy hat on top of a ring post as he greets the crowd, then says that life has been good for Roman Reigns and that "pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered." He calls Roman a hog, then says he slaughters hogs on his farm every single day. He says that at SummerSlam, "The Tribal Hog" will get a "country ass-whuppin" the likes of which he has never seen, then Paul Heyman arrives. Lesnar calls Heyman a hog, then says three little piggies went to town before asking Heyman if he will say something worthwhile. Heyman says that going from the most barbaric WrestleMania to the most barbaric SummerSlam plays right into Lesnar's hand, then says Roman made his mark athletically while Lesnar did it by annihilating people. He says that if Lesnar has to put Roman down for the count of ten, then that is what he is going to do, even if that means putting him down for longer, sending him to the hospital or sending him to the morgue. He calls Lesnar a beast, not a man, that wants revenge against Roman Reigns, then gives Lesnar his word that Roman Reigns' near-700-day reign is a streak he will not break, for he will get Roman ready for him. Heyman says that if Roman even has to stick his hand in Lesnar's ass and pull his heart out, then that is what Roman is going to do. Suddenly, Austin Theory shows up. Theory says SummerSlam will be one of the greatest nights in WWE history when he takes back the United States Championship before watching Lesnar and Roman's match and cashing in afterwards to become Universal Champion. Lesnar tells Theory to get in the ring so they can fight, but Theory says that regardless of who wins, it will be life-altering. He then says that Heyman should listen to Lesnar, as Lesnar only cares about himself. We then see footage of Brock Lesnar throwing Theory off the top of an Elimination Chamber pod back in February at Elimination Chamber. Theory then says that could happen to Roman Reigns and that Roman could become a lying heap of human flesh before reminding Lesnar that he did not forget. Suddenly, Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) shows up. Lesnar takes this as "all the cockroaches showing up" before Otis gets in the ring with Lesnar. Gable hits Lesnar with a chop block and Otis splashes Lesnar, but Lesnar decimates them both. Lesnar then hits them both with the ring steps before hitting them with a chair, then suplexes Gable before slamming Otis through the announce table. Lesnar then bows to the crowd with his cowboy hat.

Before the next match, Damian Priest warns Dominik Mysterio that what happened last week was justice for the old guard and the way things used to be, then says Rey Mysterio is done and has nothing else to offer Dominik other than an ugly mask and old, tired tricks. Priest then says The Judgment Day (Priest, Finn, Rhea Ripley) has a whole new set of rules to offer, and that they will decide the future of the business and that Dominik is welcome to join. Finn Balor asks Dominik when he will learn to see things like they do and that Rey Mysterio will not be able to protect him, as Edge is also a legend and they also took him out. He says that Edge is gone and never coming back because he was a bad leader, and not only is Rey a bad leader, but a bad father. Rey smacks Finn, and this leads to Rey and Dominik brawling with The Judgment Day.

Finn Balor beats Rey Mysterio.

Before the next match, Becky Lynch says that she was disappointed in not winning Money In The Bank and lost her mind, then says she does not need to win the Money In The Bank contract and "win the lottery" like Liv Morgan did because she works for a paycheck. She says that beating Asuka should have made her #1 contender for the Raw Women's Championship, but Carmella got a rematch and she did not, and is forced to jump through hoops to work back to the top and what is rightfully hers. Becky then says that tonight, she does not care who wins, because she wants a championship match at SummerSlam. Becky Lynch then watches the next match from ringside.

Carmella beats Bianca Belair by count-out after Becky Lynch distracts Bianca, who is blinded after Carmella hits her in the eyes. Bianca Belair retains the WWE Raw Women's Championship. After the match, Bianca punches Carmella in the face and hits her with the K.O.D.

We see a weird vignette.

It's time for Miz TV. Tonight's guest is Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa says that nobody garners more attention than The Miz, and that he wants opportunity. The Miz then brings up Logan Paul, who insists that he does not want to be The Miz's partner and that he is coming for him at SummerSlam. Miz says he knows what Logan Paul is doing and that he is stirring up controversy, which nobody does better than the two of them, then gives Logan Paul one more chance to retract his statements or else he will team up with Ciampa. He then says that he and Ciampa will show just how well they worked together against AJ Styles tonight, when all eyes are on them. Styles then shows up. Styles tells Miz to shut his mouth, as nobody cares what he has to say, then says that every time he turns his back, Miz or Ciampa always attacks him. He says Miz has Ciampa to do his dirty work, which makes him sound like a coward "with tiny, tiny balls." Styles then gets in the ring and throws the chairs out, then Ezekiel shows up and introduces himself to Styles, mentions Elias' matches with Styles, then say Miz has tiny balls. Ezekiel then says he has talked to WWE official Adam Pearce and made a tag team match with the team of him and Styles against Miz and Ciampa, assuming Styles agrees. Styles shakes Ezekiel's hand.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and Ezekiel beat The Miz and Tommaso Ciampa after Ciampa attacks Styles and refuses to listen to the referee to break up a Calf Crusher. After the match, Styles hits Ciampa with a Phenomenal Forearm, and Miz runs all the way to the stage.

They also say that regardless of who the special guest referee at SummerSlam is, as long as that referee can count to hree, they will still be tag team champions. The Street Profits then show up. Angelo says The Usos hit them with everything they had, but Montez's shoulder was up when he was pinned. Montez says that at SummerSlam, they are taking the tag team titles. Suddenly, R-Truth shows up and flexes his certification for being a "tag team counselor," but The Usos tells R-Truth to get out of the ring unless he has a referee's shirt. R-Truth then reveals he is a certified referee and reveals a referee's shirt. R-Truth then tries to "audition" to be the referee for SummerSlam, but Jimmy Uso tells him to take his referee and his "clown ass" to the back, then R-Truth challenges The Usos to a fight with him and The Street Profits. MVP and Omos show up, and MVP offers Omos' services to The Usos to even up the odds. The Street Profits and R-Truth then charge at The Usos and Omos after R-Truth says "Remember The Alamo!", but Omos sends the Profits into a double superkick and boots R-Truth.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and Omos beat The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) and R-Truth in a six-man tag team match.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Rollins says that he feels great because it is his night and it is the main event, then says he does not care who Ezekiel really is and that he will take down anyone in his way. He then asks "Who in the hell does [Matt] Riddle think he is?" He wants to know if Riddle is some idiot savant who is on another level or an idiot bro that Randy Orton felt sorry for, then says Riddle cannot ride on Randy Orton's coattails or hide behind him anymore and cannot use his name to chase some clout. As he says that playing that fire will get one burned, Austin Theory shows up and asks Seth Rollins for advice on cashing in the Money In The Bank contract before the two men leave together.

We see yet another weird vignette.

We hear from Logan Paul, who makes it clear to The Miz that he wants him at SummerSlam and that he will show up next week to make sure The Miz reads his lips. He says that when they meet next Monday, it will be awesome.

During the match, Dolph Ziggler shows up for the first time in some time in a suit and tie, and watches the match from ringside. Later in the match, Austin Theory uses the ropes for leverage on a pinfall attempt, but Ziggler moves Theory's feet off the ropes, allowing Riddle to hit the RKO for the win. After the match, Ziggler hits Theory with a superkick.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for July 1, 2022

Omos, Drew McIntyre, Matt Riddle, Sami Zayn, Sheamus, and Seth Rollins are in the ring to start tonight's show. Everyone except Omos and MVP are sitting on top of a ladder. Rollins says everyone agrees that SummerSlam will be the best time for the winner to cash in. He also boasts about cashing in on both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, then Matt Riddle says he will cash in on Reigns. Sami Zayn says he is in this match and that the contract will stay with The Bloodline to save the undisputed World title. MVP says everyone in the ring and the match not named Omos is an idiot (excluding himself) and that none of them can stop Omos, whom he says will be the last man standing. Sheamus says he has been Mr. Money In The Bank and has cashed in successfully on Roman Reigns before, then admits Brock Lesnar is "a whole different ballgame for him." McIntyre says he has beaten Lesnar in five minutes and that he will win the contract. The Miz suddenly shows up and says that he cashed in the contract on McIntyre the last time he had it and that he should be in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match having been a two-time Money In The Bank winner. Ezekiel suddenly shows up and introduces himself before stating he was supposed to have a qualifying match with Kevin Owens tonight, and if anyone deserves to be in the match, it is him. Happy Corbin shows up and says Ezekiel is as dumb as his brother and that he has won the contract before, and that nobody is as lucky as him. Madcap Moss then shows up and says Corbin squandering the contract again is hysterical. Moss then says Corbin will not have the chance to embarrass himself when he takes the final spot in the match, then WWE official Adam Pearce shows up and sets up a battle royal with everyone in and outside of the ring right now.

Happy Corbin last eliminates Sheamus and Drew McIntyre after having slid out of the ring through the bottom rope to win a "good old-fashioned battle royal."

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Happy Corbin, who says he is so happy that he is "farting rainbows" following how he won tonight's battle royal. He brags about the look on people's faces after winning and how people will not stop talking about it. When Kayla Braxton asks him about Pat McAfee's challenge for a match, however, Happy Corbin becomes silent and changes his tune.

Backstage, Megan Morant interviews Natalya, who laughs and says that all "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey has left is talk and that she sees nothing but fear in her eyes, as she knows the Sharpshooter hurt her and that Ronda is not at 100%. She says that Ronda can make fun of her all she wants, but she will take her down and be the first person to make Ronda tap out to the Sharpshooter and become a two-time SmackDown Women's Champion.

Before the next match, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) talk about how they gave the fans a dancing Shanky until The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) ruined a good time. Xavier Woods says it was not a good Viking experience and Kofi Kingston says The Viking Raiders are dangerous now. Woods says it is time to get dangerous, and Kofi calls The Viking Raiders out. The New Day hand The Viking Raiders the microphones only to drap the microphones halfway through the hand-off, and this starts a brawl where The New Day are quickly overpowered as The Viking Raiders use their shield as weapons. When asked if they have lost their killer instinct after eighteen months without championship gold and if they are getting along, The Street Profits kill rumors of not getting along, and Montez says they have a killer instinct in every match against The Usos. Montez says they know about the legacy and that as much as The Usos' family legacy has prepared The Usos for anything, they are not ready for The Street Profits and that they are taking the tag team titles and ending The Usos' legacy. Jey tells Montez to be careful what comes out of his mouth, and Jimmy and Jey agree that while The Street Profits are like them, they are not them, and they want the smoke on Saturday. Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 13, 2022

It's time for Miz TV to start tonight's show. Tonight's guest is Paul Heyman. Miz talks about the Money In The Bank Ladder Match as well as his Money In The Bank accomplishments, and says one must wait for the perfect moment to cash in the contract and catapult themselves into superstardom. Miz then reminds Heyman that whoever wins the men's match will more than likely cash in on Roman Reigns, while Heyman claims that they will fail to win afterwards because when Roman Reigns is the champion, the chances of winning go down to zero. Heyman also mentions Matt Riddle taking on Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Championship, and as he talks about how he tried to add a stipulation to make the match even bigger, Riddle shows up. Riddle shows up wanting to hear the news about the stipulation "straight from the horse's ass," and Miz takes offense to the interruption before demanding respect towards him and Heyman. Heyman tells Riddle he has "some set of balls on [him]" to interrupt Miz TV, and Riddle says Heyman says nothing for a guy who talks a lot and that neither man knows what he is capable of. He then says that The Usos tried to end his career like they probably did Randy Orton's, then says he does not care what the stipulation is because Roman Reigns will have to kill him to beat him this Friday. Heyman says Riddle has a lot of momentum, but that momentum will be stopped by Roman Reigns, and while he respects Riddle, Riddle cannot beat Roman. He also feels that he will not be able to beat his opponent tonight after hearing what he has to say: if Riddle wins on Friday, he will be the new WWE Undisputed Champion; if Riddle loses, he cannot challenge for the title again as long as Roman is champion. He says this is what is called "do or die" on the Island of Relevancy, then introduces him to The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso). As The Usos surround the ring, The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) show up and stand with Riddle.

Jimmy Uso beats Montez Ford after getting the knees up to block the top rope splash.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Rollins says that he meant what he said to "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, then calls Cody "a virus" that has been plaguing WWE since he returned and that sometimes in life, you have to make hard decisions. He pulls out a sledgehammer when he says that when nobody is on your side, you have to take things into your own hands, and when Cody laid bare his ambitions, he had to adapt or perish, and now, he is back and better than ever. Rollins says he has performed one of the greatest Money In The Bank cash-ins of all time and that he wants to outdo it, and when it comes to "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Styles is not on his level and lacks his killer instinct. He says that if Styles wants to stand in his way of the Money In The Bank contract, then he will have to do to him what he did to Cody Rhodes. Suddenly, Rollins gets jumped by Styles, who then says "That one's for Cody."

Becky Lynch vs. Dana Brooke for the WWE 24/7 Championship ends in a no-contest. During the match, Becky says he has a lot of anger and rage and that the match was not about the 24/7 Championship, but instead the disrespect he has been given week in and week out after blazing a trail of success for all to follow. Becky then says that she is looking at the Money In The Bank contracts and that she was robbed and cheated the last time she went for it, and that this year will be different. Suddenly, Asuka shows up and brawls with Becky. It is not long before Asuka comes out on top.

After the match, Ezekiel says that while he is not yet done with Kevin Owens, he wants in on the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. He also announces that Elias is coming to Raw next week.

Before the next match, MVP says Cedric Alexander has gotten on his last nerve and handles rejection so poorly that he got involved in his handicap match at Hell In A Cell. He says that Cedric belongs at the bottom while he and Omos belong at the top. He says that all Omos has to do is stand on a lower rung of a ladder and the Money In The Bank contract is his, then Cedric shows up for the match.

MVP beats Cedric Alexander. After the match, Omos tosses Cedric out of the ring.

Backstage, we hear from "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, who says that the Money In The Bank contract has eluded him and that he wants it to spite Seth "Freakin'" Rollins after what he did to "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes. He says that Rollins is beneath him and that what he will do to Rollins will make think twice before questioning his killer instinct. We then hear from Seth Rollins, who says that he is in AJ Styles' head and that he will be dedicating his victory to Cody Rhodes.

Belair says she is prepared for anything as she faces Rhea Ripley at Money In The Bank, then mentions the mutual disrespect between them before saying that Rhea Ripley has since become "soulless" since joining The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley). She says that she is not scared of Rhea Ripley and that she will prove that she can walk the walk. Suddenly, Rhea shows up on the TitanTron and says Bianca is all talk while Judgment Day speaks through their actions. Finn Balor says that they do what they want when they want and removed Edge from The Judgment Day to make sure of that, and Damian Priest says that while Edge had the right idea, his actions contradicted his words. Rhea says that the fans are holding Bianca back and that Bianca is only trying to convince herself she is the best while she takes what she wants, and says that Bianca Belair will meet her downfall - which Rhea says will be the greatest part of Bianca's reign - at Money In The Bank.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Austin Theory, who says that he is ready for his posedown with Bobby Lashley and that he is on a different level these days, and that he will prove that Lashley is not on his level and unworthy of the United States title. He also says that he will prove he is the greatest investment Vince McMahon has ever made and that his twenty-year celebration in the future will make John Cena's look like nothing.

Chad Gable beats Mustafa Ali after Otis tries to make the save only to get kicked in the arm by Ali and Gable hits a rolling German suplex for the win.

Veer Mahaan beats Rey Mysterio with the cervical clutch after clotheslining Dominik Mysterio over the barricade into the timekeeper's area.

WWE official Adam Pearce moderates the pose-down between Austin Theory and Bobby Lashley. Austin Theory goes first on the podium with the double bicep, side chest and most muscular poses, and Lashley goes after him after telling Theory brought this on himself and that he will this before taking the United States title from him. Bobby Lashley gets a much better reception from the fans than Austin Theory and wins the pose-down, then Austin Theory says there is one more pose. He squirts baby oil into Lashley's eyes and kicks him out of the ring before taking selfies with the United States title.

She says some people collect friends or stamps, but she collects enemies and will continue to do so as she rises to the top so she knows she is on track to becoming champion again at Hell In A Cell. Becky says the odds are stacked against her, but she has always defied odds and convention. She then mentions her history with Asuka going back to Money In The Bank 2020 and says she gave Asuka "the greatest gift of her career." She then says she created "an entitled monster" out of Asuka when she handed her the title only for her to lose it, then Asuka shows up. Asuka tells Becky she is still "a big time baby," then says nobody is ready for her because she is ready to be the new WWE Raw Women's Champion. Suddenly, Bianca Belair shows up. Bianca says she respects Asuka, but she kicked her last week and she has a lot ot say to her. She also says she cannot wait to give Becky a piece of her mind because regardless of the odds, the Raw Women's title is not going anywhere. She also says that she will drop Becky just like she did at WrestleMania only for Becky to punch her, and this starts a brawl where Bianca and Asuka get the better of Becky.

Cody says he has always been a fan of Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, as he saw potential to do great things the first time he saw him, as did his father Dusty Rhodes. He talks about how Dusty told him he had the ingredients to make him a generational talent, and says that Seth Rollins lives up to the hype. Cody then admits he was nervous, because he could not return to WWE with a loss. He then says he won and then became the better man against Rollins again, which has driven Rollins into madness and jealousy. Cody says Rollins is an egomaniac that wants everything for himself, and says it is what makes him dangerous. Cody then says he is walking into Hell In A Cell into the hardest challenge of his career, and tells Rollins that he will be in the cell with a man who will want to hurt him very badly. Suddenly, Rollins shows up in the crowd. Rollins bluntly tells Cody that he does not like him and does not want him in WWE after trying to accept the new version of Cody only for the pandering to get worse and the chants to get louder until it is all he could hear. Rollins says he cannot stand this any longer, saying that Cody left WWE six years ago because he was not good enough and that he and his friends tried to tear down what he built only to come back as a prodigal son to fulfill a family legacy when that did not work out for him. He says that Cody does not become the hero on his watch after smashing the throne, then tells Cody once again that he does not like him, does not want him and only wants to prey on his insecurities and end him so all can "wake up from the American nightmare." Cody asks Rollins why they are waiting to do this when the time for talking is over and they can fight right now. Rollins unbuttons his jacket as he teases jumping the barricade only to tell Cody he will see him Sunday. As Rollins leaves, Cody jumps the barricade and brawls with Rollins in the crowd, and Cody puts Rollins through the barricade before getting the upper hand on him as officials and referees separate both men. Rollins then runs into the ring and tries to leap at Cody, and both men have to be separated again. Just when everything is under control, Cody runs at Rollins, and this time both men are on the floor before they are pulled apart. (Interestingly, one of the officials is Curtis Axel, who was released from WWE two years ago; he is now back as a producer.)

After the match, Austin Theory continues to attack Mustafa Ali, and throws him into the ring post before telling Ali that a win by disqualification may be a coward's way out, but a win is a win and he is on another level. Theory then asks why they should wait when they can go at it for the United States title right now.

Edge says the truth is in front of the fans' faces and will set them free, but they are too blind to see.
