Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for June 21, 2023

The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) beat The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) after "Rock Hard" Juice Robinson distracts the referee, allowing Austin Gunn to shove Jeff Hardy off the turnbuckle so The Gunns can hit Jeff Hardy with the 3:10 To Yuma. After the match, "Switchblade" Jay White shows up and joins in on the post-match attack on The Hardys, hitting Matt Hardy with Blade Runner before helping Juice Robinson knock Jeff out with a left hand loaded with quarters. Before Juice can do the same to Matt, "Absolute" Ricky Starks rushes in, but when the numbers game overpowers him, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) also run into the ring. The Gunns and Bullet Club Gold ("Switchblade" Jay White and "Rock Hard" Juice Robinson) are still on the attack when CM Punk joins in to finally even the odds. Juice Robinson barely avoids the GTS as The Gunns and Bullet Club Gold retreat. CM Punk then challenges Bullet Club Gold to a match on Collision since they want to fight so badly.

Mark Briscoe beats Jeff Jarrett in a Concession Stand Brawl with the help of Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Barretta), The Lucha Brothers (Penta el Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix), "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Papa Briscoe to counter Jeff Jarrett's crew.

We hear from The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson), Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita. Jon Moxley says "BCC" are the only letters that matter as they have defined professional wrestling this year. He says that they have assembled "a truly elite team" along with Shota Umina and challenge The Elite (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Kenny Omega, "Hangman" Adam Page) to a five-on-five match at Forbidden Door. Bryan Danielson says he has challenged Kazuchika Okada to a face-to-face meeting, then says Okada is not here because it will be clear to everyone that he is nothing but an amateur when they get in the ring. He says that he will call Okada out, and if Okada does not show up, he will prove everything he has just said and that he is a coward.

Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara and Minoru Suzuki beat Action Andretti, Darius Martin and AR Fox in a trios match with the Lion Tamer from Chris Jericho to an airborne Darius Martin. After the match, Renee Paquette interviews Jericho, Guevara and Suzuki in the ring. Jericho talks about being in the ring with Sting for the very first time, calling it a monumental moment in wrestling history, with everyone excited for it except for him. He says he knows Sting and how selfish and egotistical he is, claiming to be a man of the people when he is where the highest bidder is. He says that Sting is a whore, not a harlequin, and that it stops now. He then challenges Sting and Darby Allin to find a partner and face them in a trios match at Forbidden Door. He says that Sting will not accept his challenge because he is a coward, then Sting and Darby show up. Sting says they had a great moment last week, but a moment is not enough and he wants time with him. On Sunday, he plans on having time with Jericho, and he and Darby accept Jericho's "lame" challenge. Darby tells Jericho that he has made a lot of enemies in a lot of places and that they have the guy for Sunday. When Jericho asks who it is, Darby tells Jericho he will find out on Collision.

RC City and Tony Schiavone draw names for the Blind Eliminator Tournament for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. The brackets will be announced next week.

We hear from The Elite (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Kenny Omega, "Hangman" Adam Page). Adam Page says that The Elite has friends all over, and Kenny Omega says that there are a lot of people who hate The Blackpool Combat Club. He then says that they found a friend in an expected place. Eddie Kingston shows up and admits he does not like The Elite, but he hates Claudio Castagnoli more. He then says he wants to pick the fifth man, who he trusts more than The Elite, and that he will make the announcement.

Adam Cole heads to the ring. Cole gives the devil his due and admits that MJF gave him one of the toughest matches of his entire career last week, and while he did everything in his power to win the match, he could not do it. He then says that MJF did not win either, and while it was smart of MJF not to accept five more minutes, it was also the cowardly thing to do. He tells MJF that he has to face all comers who get in his way, and that he has never beaten him. Adam Cole then calls MJF out so he can get a rematch, then MJF shows up. MJF congratulates Adam Cole for coming out to play and coming back and better than ever, and takes responsibility for dragging that out of him before telling Cole he lost track of time while he had Cole beat. MJF then says that because he cares about Cole's health and well-being, he declines giving Cole a rematch. Cole says he saw this coming, then proposes they fight right now so he can whip his ass. Tony Schiavone interrupts them MJF and Cole from the announce table, and after MJF and Cole simultaneously tell him to shut up, Schiavone tells him that they are now partners in the Blind Tag Eliminator Tournament. Cole does not want to team with MJF, and MJF does not want to wrestle every week. Both men are livid. Hiroshi Tanahashi then shows up on the video screen, telling MJF that he is a coward and that he will show him what kind of a champion he is at Forbidden Door. Cole then tells MJF to be careful about his answer to Tanahashi, as he sounds like he knows Tanahashi is better than him. MJF says nobody is "on the level of the Devil," but Cole leads a "coward" chant. MJF then angrily accepts Tanahashi's challenge for Forbidden Door, then Cole jokingly wishes MJF luck before mockingly calling him "partner."

Daniel Garcia and Zack Sabre Jr. beat Orange Cassidy and Katsuyori Shibata after Garcia stacks Shibata up while Zack Sabre Jr. has Orange Cassidy in a heel hook. After the match, Zack Sabre Jr., Daniel Garcia and Katsuyori Shibata make it known that they all want the AEW International Championship, and Orange has to yank his championship away from Shibata.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Will Ospreay, who brags about making fun of Canadians when Don Callis shows up and tells Ospreay that he agrees with him, and tells him that Kenny Omega is inciting his fans to violence. Callis tells Ospreay that he will need special, military-grade security in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where the people are as violent as Americans. When Ospreay asks why, Callis says he wants to see a fair fight.

We see a video package for Willow Nightingale vs. Toni Storm for the AEW Women's World Championship at Forbidden Door.

Kris Statlander retains the TBS Championship against Taya Valkyrie.

Eddie Kingston is in the ring. After stating that The Elite have left the arena because he told them that he does not respect them, he reiterates that he cannot stand Claudio Castagnoli at all, then Jon Moxley shows up in the crowd and heads to the ring. Moxley tells Eddie that he knows how this goes and tells him that he is drawing a line at Forbidden Door. Eddie tells Moxley that he drew the line when he teamed with Claudio, not him, then irritably announces that his team's fifth man is Tomohiro Ishii. Ishii gets in the ring as Claudio, Wheeler Yuta and Bryan Danielson attack Eddie, then attack Ishii before Danielson calls out Kazuchika Okada. He then threatens to stomp Ishii's face in if Okada does not arrive, but Okada arrives and confronts Danielson. Danielson and Okada stare each other down in the middle of the ring until Wheeler Yuta attacks Okada from behind, then holds Okada down. Okada moves out of the way of the Busaiku Knee, but Danielson avoids the Rainmaker and retreats. Okada then grabs Wheeler Yuta and hits him with the Rainmaker before staring down Danielson to end the show.
