Final IMPACT - IMPACT Wrestling recap for June 8, 2023

Seleziya Sparx vs. Tara Rising in the BTI match ends with Masha Slamovich attacking bothw omen with a chain before accepting Killer Kelly's challenge for a Dog Collar Match in Russian.

Before the next match, Brian Myers says Subculture (Mark Andrews and "Flash" Morgan Webster) jumped the line for a tag team title shot and bought ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey) some time, then says their time will be up at Against All Odds. John Skyler says that after tomorrow night, the tag team titles will be in good hands.

Chris Bey beats Jason Hotch with the La Magistral Cradle. After the match, John Skyler attacks Chris Bey, starting a brawl between ABC and the team of Brian Myers and The Good Hands. Myers and The Good Hands end up getting the upper hand.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Heath, who has not been in IMPACT in a while. He says Rhino is still injured thanks to Steve Maclin, then says he has been working up a game plan to win the 8-4-1 match and become IMPACT World Champion. Before he can do any of that, he will give Champagne Singh what is coming to him for attacking him from behind.

We hear from Dirty Dango. He says the played the clown because he was getting a lot of money, and that he has invested that money well enough to the point that he does not have to be the clown anymore and still continue to get paid. He then says that he has wrestlers wanting to text him and talk to him when he gets home - which he does not want to do - and says that he will not complain about anything he has to do unlike other people on Twitter. He also tells the fans to take a shower. As for the Digital Media Championship, he says that if he were like most of the roster, he would have a replica of it, but he brings women to his house and does not want them to see a "toy wrestling title." Instead, he would list it on eBay, then take the proceeds and use it to take a woman on a date in Hawaii.

Heath beats Champagne Singh.

We hear from The Design (Deaner, Angels, Kon). Deaner says Sami Callihan does not realize what he has done, and Angels says that he did not trust him and knew that he would try to destroy them from within. He says that Callihan will pay for it in blood in his own home state, and Kon says it will be the same blood that poured down Rich Swann's mouth and Jake Crist's ear, and if he wants a war, he as one. Deaner tells Callihan to come to war with his brothers, but warns him that The Design will take out his family and take everything from him.

Before the next match, Joe Hendry says that tonight's opponent is Sheldon Jean, the man who broke his nose and is a reality star under the tutelage of another reality star. He tells Sheldon that this is IMPACT, not reality television, and that instead of hanging on to Kenny King, one simply has to say they believe to stick around.

Joe Hendry beats Sheldon Jean. After the match, Joe Hendry calls out Dirty Dango before their Digital Media Championship rematch at Against All Odds, and Dango shows up. Dango says that he hates pro wrestling and that he hates pro wrestling fans even more, then says Hendry is not going to trick him into fighting him into the ring right now as they do not pay him enough to fight on his day off. As Dango says he is about to head back to the back, Hendry says he called him to see why he is so cranky before introducing a music video where Hendry makes fun of Dango and calling him a "Divas Reject." Suddenly, Kenny King and Sheldon Jean attack Hendry from behind, and Dirty Dango joins in. Director of Authority Santino Marella shows up, and when Sheldon Jean bumps into Hendry, Santino hits Sheldon with the Cobra.

We hear from "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw, Savannah Evans and Jai Vidal. Gisele talks about how he took out Jordynne Grace indefinitely before telling Trinity that IMPACT is her house and that rent is due. She also says that she is not going anywhere because the spotlight is hers and that at Against All Odds, she will take the spotlight back and put "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo in her place.

The Coven (Taylor Wilde and KiLynn King) retain the IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Championships against The Death Dollz (Courtney Rush and Jessicka) after the referee is preoccupied with KiLynn and Jessicka's brawl on the outside as Taylor Wilde taps to Courtney Rush's Sharpshooter.

We see a video package of Alex Shelley's road to his World Championship match against Steve Maclin at Against All Odds.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Steve Maclin. Maclin says everyone is motivated to come after his World Championship, then Bully Ray shows up and says he likes Maclin and that Maclin does not listen. He says that he does not have to worry about everyone else and that he needs to worry about him, but not at Slammiversary.

Trey Miguel beats Bhupinder Gujjar. After the match, Trey Miguel says that no matter what he does to prove he is the greatest generational talent, all he gets is "Yeah, but." He says Chris Sabin was once a generational talent, but that was then and this is now. He says that he is the rarest form of a generational talent IMPACT has ever known due to some of his successful X Division title defenses, and after Against All Odds, there will be no ifs, ands or "Yeah, buts."

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Johnny Swinger. Swinger says every ham-and-egger worth their salt know he is the best of the golden era and that his father advised him to find someone to pass the heat to when the going gets tough. Swinger then blames crooked referees have cost him wins and that he has sent Zicky Dice to referee school to have someone in his pocket so he can finally become a champion.

Gia Miller interviews Deonna Purrazzo and Trinity. Trinity says she came here to prove herself against the best and that she has the chance to do that at Slammiversary. Deonna says that is noble, but many have stepped to her and many have failed. Trinity says they are in a dangerous game with "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw, but Deonna says they have both defeated Gisele and Savannah Evans, and that Gisele is stepping into a game she has already lost. Deonna says that despite their tag team match tomorrow night, she will be scouting Trinity, but Trinity says Deonna can trust her. Deonna then says she can put her ego aside for long enough, and Trinity says that she will be worried about her at Slammiversary.

Moose and Rich Swann beat Jonathan Gresham and Nick Aldis despite the refusal to get along between Moose and Swann. After the match, Gresham smacks Moose, but Moose knocks Gresham down before punching Swann. Heath then runs into the ring and fights Moose, then Aldis confronts Heath and both men brawl. Swann is then attacked from behind by Bully Ray. As Bully Ray is about to powerbomb Swann, PCO gets in the ring and brawls with Bully Ray, then hits everyone else with a dive to the outside.
