Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for June 17, 2023

This week's episode is live from Beale Street in downtown Memphis, Tennessee near the Ghost River Brewing Company. Maria Starr hosts this week's show from the studio.

Mike Anthony and K-Toomer beat The Roberts Family Legacy (Aaron and Cordale Roberts).

The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) are seen harassing and fighting people on Beale Street before being kicked out of a restaurant.

Dustin Starr interviews Tim Bosby. Bosby says he is looking for good competition and cannot seem to find it, and he issues an open challenge not to anyone in the back, but to anyone in the crowd. After the commercial break, Tim Bosby is still looking for an opponent when he finds Tim Bosby and Lance McCade. Tim does not want Lance to do it, but when Bosby asks if he is scared he will whip him and his father, Lance slides in the ring. Tim jumps in when Bosby gets the better of Lance. Tim Grind then says he did not come here to fight, but when Bosby put his hands on Lance, he got ready to prove that he can still "whip that trick."

Tim Grind beats Tim Bosby after Lance McCade stops Bosby from using the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship as a weapon. After the match, Grind is holding up the Internet Championship, but the title goes back to Bosby as the match was not a championship match.

Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships against Ellsworth Enterprises (Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston) after Big John Dalton keeps Matt Williams from using one of the tag team championship belts as a weapon.

Reverend Ash Taylor is on the stage. He calls everyone in the crowd sinners before stating that he will pray for them to be on the righteous path when Al Kapone, Ray Collins and "Big Swole" Justin Cole show up and throw him out before everyone celebrates with Kapone.

We hear from Danny Limelight, who announces that is time to take a stroll down to Memphis to see what Memphis Wrestling has and face "The GunShow" Brett Michaels one-on-one, saying Brett is "the guy" until he walks into the building next week.

Backstage, Tim Grind has the feeling that he can still wrestle and still become a champion with Lance McCade at his side after beating a champion in Tim Bosby.

Backstage, K-Toomer challenges Aaron Roberts to another match next week, and Mike Anthony says redemption came with a price and that nobody would have told him that he would have K-Toomer watching his back.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against Van Viciouss as it rains down hard on Beale Street.
