Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for June 7, 2023

Orange Cassidy retains the AEW International Championship against Swerve Strickland after countering the JML Driver with a series of roll-ups and a grabbing of the tights. After the match, The Mogul Embassy (Prince Nana, Swerve, "The Machine" Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) attacks Orange Cassidy, then the lights go out. When they come back on, Darby Allin and Sting are in the ring and The Mogul Embassy are all outside of the ring.

We see a vignette for "Absolute" Ricky Starks vs. "Switchblade" Jay White later tonight.

"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson guests on commentary for the next match as it is announced that Danielson vs. Kazuchika Okada is official for Forbidden Door.

The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Jon Moxley) beat CHAOS (Rocky "Azucar" Romero, Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor) in a trios match with a Bulldog Choke into a rear naked choke from Moxley to Romero.

We hear from The Elite (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, "Hangman" Adam Page). Adam Page congratulates The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Jon Moxley, "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson) on their victory before telling them that it is not the end between both of their sides before challenging them for next week. Daniel Bryan says on commentary that The Blackpool Combat Club do not back down from a challenge and that they will accept this one.

It is announced that Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay will square off for the IWGP United States Championship at Forbidden Door.

MJF heads to the ring. MJF says that when he was contractually obligated to be here, he almost offed himself, as there is no more boring place than Colorado, then says that he is himself bored because he has no competition in AEW. He says nobody is "on the level of the Devil," then Adam Cole suddenly shows up and heads to the ring. MJF stops Adam Cole's entrance near the end and declares Cole "worthy competition for the champ" and admits he is a big fan of his, as Cole reignited his love for professional wrestling in Ring of Honor after CM Punk left. He admits that he thought ROH sucked and was full of "indie jabronies who did not belong on his TV" and that when he was about to change the channel, Adam Cole showed up and he was instantly hooked. MJF admits he got as much of his video tape as much as he could when he started training to be a wrestler and watched his career in the indies as well as NXT as he became so good that he became NXT's greatest champion ever. He then followed Cole's footsteps on the way to AEW and knew he would make the jump, and when they did, "two generational talents" would throw down. He says he was excited until Cole went from "Panama Playboy" to "Panama Game Boy." He says that Cole is stuck at home streaming on Twitch while Dr. Britt Baker leaves home with his balls in her purse, then says that Cole used to be in better shape with the body of a world champion and is now so frail that he makes crack whores jealous. MJF then mentions that it is not Cole's fault and that AEW has no idea how to showcase him, then tells the fans that they do not have a clue and that while AEW does everything to make Cole cool, all they have to do for him is to "ring the damn bell." He then proclaims that he has beaten every single top guy and that Cole is no different, then mentions that Cole is only in AEW because Vince McMahon did not think he was "top guy material." MJF says that Vince has lost his mind regarding Adam Cole, but after having seen Adam Cole, he thinks Vince was right. Adam Cole grabs a microphone and is unimpressed with MJF's ability to verbally destroy people, saying he comes across like a "toxic social media troll" and says Britt Baker would beat the hell out of MJF and asks about his obsession with other people's relationships. He then calls MJF "a world class douchebag" and tells MJF that he cannot touch him when it comes to his body of work, then proposes that they pee in a couple of cops and see "who's Maxwell and who's not." Cole tells MJF they are nothing like, and that everyone in every locker room he has been in has respected him despite being a bad guy in the past while there is not a single person in the back who respects MJF for being selfish, conceited and lazy. He then says he speaks for a lot of people when he tells MJF that nobody respects him, which leads to the crowd chanting "no respect." MJF says that is "a lot of tough talk coming from Keith Lee's manager." Cole says MJF wants to create a false narrative about him because he is a coward who cannot tell him to shut up and face him, then says that he is wasting his breath and that his words are going over his head. He then says MJF will not face him because he is better than MJF and the fans know it. MJF yells at Cole says he will wrestle him eight days a week and beat his ass. Cole then says they have a match and leaves.

We hear from The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) and Brother Zay backstage. Matt Hardy introduces everyone to Ethan Page, and Jeff Hardy asks Ethan Page to use his ego for good before Matt asks Ethan to apologize genuinely for injuring him. Ethan and Zay shake hands. Matt then says that he is not doing this to break him, but to make him a better man. Zay says that they are going to have "a whole lot of fun."

"Jungle Boy" Jack Perry and Hook beat La Faccion Ingobernable (Dralistico and "El Perro Peligroso" Preston Vance) in a Texas Tornado Tag Match following a Redrum on Jose the Assitant and a Snare Trap on Dralistico.

We hear from Tony Khan, who announces that the main event of the very first AEW Collision will be "Switchblade" Jay White, Juice Robinson and Samoa Joe vs. FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and CM Punk.

Konosuke Takeshita beats Damon Ace. After the match, Don Callis tries to speak, but the crowd drowns him out with their boos. He says everything Kenny Omega and The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, "Hangman" Adam Page) have is in their lives is because of his and that this is all Kenny's fault. He then says that Kenny Omega has been like "a cancer in his body" and that one cuts cancer out, and that he and his family will cut The Elite out of AEW for good.

Backstage, Alex Marvez tries to get an interview with Christian Cage. Cage quickly walks out of his dressing room as Luchasaurus beats someone up before declaring he is the uncrowned TNT Champion and that Arn Anderson took something from him and that he will take something from Arn. Luchasaurus leaves the dressing room, and it is revealed that Luchasaurus has attacked Brock Anderson.

Kris Statlander retains the TBS Championship against Anna Jay A.S.

We hear from Toni Storm and Ruby Soho. They say that they will be watching to see who faces Toni Storm for the AEW World Women's Championship next week on Rampage, because they will face the greatest AEW World Women's champ who ever lived.

"Switchblade" Jay White beats "Absolute" Ricky Starks in a match with "Rock Hard" Juice Robinson and FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) banned from ringside. During the match, referee Paul Turner gets clipped as Ricky Starks hits Jay White with the Ro-Sham-Bo, and as the referee is down, The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) hit Starks with the 3:10 To Yuma and run off. Jay White then hits Starks with Blade Runner for the win.
