Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for March 9, 2022

Chris Jericho heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Jericho calls Revolution one of the greatest nights of his career, even though his neck is sore and he tapped out to Eddie Kingston. He says it was one of his greatest matches, and thanks Eddie Kingston for awakening something in him that he did not know was still there. Jericho then admits that he refused to shake his hand and went against his word, which means everything. The crowd chants "Shake his hand!" as Jericho says he was angry and frustrated. Jericho then asks Eddie to come to the ring so he can apologize and shake his hand. Eddie Kingston then heads to the ring and tells the fans "We're gonna get real, real deep" before saying that on the Friday before Revolution, he did not even want to show up and he wanted to go drinking and forget his problems. Eddie admits that he has never won the big ones when it mattered and that Jericho was right when he said he was afraid, and says that when a few people didn't commit suicide after reading about his story, he wanted to make them happy. He tells the people who were at the AEW Fan Fest that he hopes that he did them proud, then tells Jericho that the handshake was for Jericho, not for him, and that he just wanted to win the match. Eddie says he earned Jericho's respect by dragging out the Jericho who created all of his accomplishments and that Jericho proved him and everyone else wrong by proving he was still the best. Jericho says Eddie is right and that this has eaten away at him, then thanks Eddie for giving him one of the best matches of his career and tells him he has respect for him. Jericho then asks Eddie to shake his hand, and they shake hands. Suddenly, 2point0 (Jeff Parker and Matt Lee) and Daniel Garcia show up and attack Eddie Kingston and Chris Jericho, then Santana and Ortiz show up and make the save for Jericho and Eddie. 2point0 gets away, but Daniel Garcia isn't so lucky. Instead od swinging the bat at Daniel Garcia, however, he hits Santana and Ortiz. Jake Hager shows up and confronts Jericho, then attacks Santana while Ortiz is double-teamed by 2point0. Daniel Garcia then puts Santana in the Sharpshooter, then 2point0 hold down Eddie Kingston so that Chris Jericho can hit him with the baseball bat. Eddie Kingston is then put through a table by Hager, Garcia and 2point0. Jericho then calls his new alliance "The Jericho Appreciation Society" and calls what happened to Eddie Kingston "entertainment."

We hear from CM Punk, who says he has to detox himself of ghosts and skeletons to be someone he does not want to be, then says he will be removing thumb tacks and cleaning blood for two weeks. He says that "This CM Punk is dead. Long live CM Punk."

"Hangman" Adam Page retains the AEW World Championship against Dante Martin. After the match, Tony Schiavone interviews Adam Page in the ring. Page tells Dante Martin to get back in the ring as Dante leaves, and Dante heads to the ring where Adam Page talks about how Dante was put in a tough situation after his brother Darius Martin got injured and made it to a World title match. He says that while Dante will go back to Darius and the tag team titles, he will be more than happy to face Dante again if and when the time comes. After Dante and Page shake hands, Adam Cole shows up. Cole congratulates Page on "getting a fluke victory" against him at Revolution and says that while anybody can get lucky, it will not happen again. Cole then challenges Page to a six-man tag team match. Cole then says he has two young men in mind who are his best friends and not Page's, then gives him a week to comprehend this before telling him he will make his life a living hell and that he will not stop until he wins the AEW World Championship.

Bryan Danielson (now accompanied by William Regal) and Jon Moxley beat The Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry) with the Lebell Lock from Danielson to JD Drake. After the match, Tony Schiavone interviews Moxley, Danielson and Regal. Regal says it has been 29 years since he came to America and he and Schiavone were together on TBS, and says he has lived more than a hard life and that he is 63 now and that he is not long for this world. He says that this is the first time on camera that he gets to thank Schiavone for being one of the first people to really help him all those years ago, then he gets down to business. Regal says that in the last two months, he had been thinking about things and then found out that Danielson mentioned him on AEW Dynamite, and when he tuned in, he found out about the match with Jon Moxley. He says that most people know him because of Danielson, as every time his name was mentioned, his name was mentioned with his. Regal calls Danielson "the perfect wrestler" and the wrestler he should have been. Regal goes on to say that with his help, Danielson became the wrestler he never became because Danielson never had the problems that he had. He then mentions Moxley and their history, and that when Moxley and Danielson had their match, he had to come along. When he noticed they did things the right away, he had to step in and combine "the perfect wrestler" and "the perfect sadistic person" to take it to another level. Regal then says that any team that comes against them will not like the outcome and will either step or get stepped on.

Wardlow says he knew MJF was not a good person going in, and hopes the fans forgive him for "associating with such trash." He says he grew up poor and saw his mom struggle to raise him and his two older sisters, and says becoming a professional wrestling allowed him to give his mother and sisters a better life. He says that MJF was a foot in the door and that MJF paid him well and made that happen, but it does not give MJF permission to threaten him and his family and that when MJF slapped him, he sealed his own fate. Wardlow says he does not care about his contract with MJF and that he is no longer MJF's back-watcher and bodyguard and no longer a member of The Pinnacle, and that he is finally free. He then says that he hopes MJF is as intelligent as he claims to be and frees him from his contract, and in return, he will wash his hands of him and they can go their separate ways, saying he has wasted three years on MJF and hopes karma will catch up with him. Wardlow says that he hopes to get a new AEW contract and that it will not stop with the TNT Championship, because he wants it all. He then says that AEW is now "Wardlow's World."
