Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for June 17, 2020

Kenny Omega and "Hangman" Adam Page retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Natural Nightmares ("The Natural" Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall). During the match, Allie - who has been asked not to be at ringside - shows up to cheer Marshall on from the stage.

We hear from Anna Jay, who talks about how she got interested in and broke into professional wrestling and how focused she is on entertaining the fans.

Abadon beats Anna Jay in her first match since her March debut and her Dynamite debut. After the match, The Dark Order shows up. Evil Uno and Stu Grayson hand Colt Cabana a manila envelope containing two pieces of paper while the rest of The Dark Order help Anna Jay to the back.

MFJ beats Billy. During the match, Wardlow gets on the ring apron and throws the Dynamite diamond ring to MJF to use as a weapon as Billy knocks him off. After the match, Jungle Boy confronts MJF from behind the barricade, and things soon become physical between MJF and Wardlow and Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy, Marko Stunt, Luchasaurus). Everyone behind the barricade has to hold everyone back.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara. Jericho says he "juiced" Orange Cassidy due to his popularity and how he does not care about anything, and says that he has the gall to interrupt them twice. Guevara and Jericho says there is nothing about that and that they beat him to a pulp just like they will to Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent) because they are more than "best friends" and that blood is thicker than orange juice.

Tony Schiavone announces that Hikaru Shida will defend the AEW World Championship against Penelope Ford at Fyter Fest. Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. tells Schiavone that she is a conspiracy victim with a broken leg, and that this announcement has gotten him in "deep shit" with TNT and cost him an interview with "the face of the women's division." She then tells Schiavone that they are on a "friendship time-out." When Britt Baker tells Reba to get her out of here, Big Swole is behind the wheel instead, and she drives off in the Role's Royce with Britt Baker after asking "Where to, Doctor?", much to the shock of Britt Baker.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson show up. Rhodes says that the air is a little thin and that it has been lonely as of late, what with The Elite and The Nightmare Family seemingly feeling fractured, then hands the microphone to Arn. Arn says that with age comes maturity, and maturity comes wisdom, and that one must listen to the voice of reason inside one's head. Arn says he knows Cody knows he can beat Jake Hager, but timing is everything and the timing is just not right. He then says that Cody has an opponent that is more than qualified and very talented, but at the same time is one that Cody can hone his skills on. That opponent is Ricky Starks, who is the hottest free agent on the market and has heard of Cody's open challenging, seeing it as a way to get his foot in the door and ascend his career. He talks about how he has had three dollars to his name at one point and that all he had was work ethic and grit, and says he is ready to go the distance.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes retains the AEW TNT Championship against Ricky Starks. Cody shakes Starks' hand after the match.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) beat Superbad Squad ("Superbad" Kip Sabian and Jimmy Havoc). During the match, The Butcher and The Blade get verbal with The Young Bucks and eventually jump the guardrail, allowing Jimmy Havoc to use a wet floor sign as a weapon. Later, FTR (Dax Hardwood and Cash Wheeler) show up, forcing The Butcher and The Blade to keep their distance. Later still, Havoc brings in a mallet, allowing Penelope Ford to use a wet floor sign as a weapon. Near the end of the match, The Butcher and The Blade and FTR have a confrontation, but the match still keeps going until The Bucks get the win. After the match, The Butcher and The Blade attack The Bucks, then FTR attacks The Butcher and The Blade, with The Butcher receiving a double superkick followed by the Goodnight Express before The Bucks and FTR hit stereo spike piledrivers on The Blade and Jimmy Havoc.

We hear from Tazz, who says that he and Brian Cage were watching the show last week when they see Jon Moxley saying he will shut him up and pop Cage's head like a pimple. He says that he took the "miserable son-of-a-bitch" gimmick decades ago, and Cage tells Moxley that he brought it all on himself and that he wishes Fyter Fest was right now, as he does not know what to do most to Moxley.

We hear from Jon Moxley, who tells Brian Cage that he is the judge, jury and executioner in AEW who makes heads roll and that hurting people in the ring is the only thing that keeps his demons at bay. He tells Cage to beat him if he can, and to survive if he is the "miserable son-of-a-bitch" who can survive the deep waters he will drag him into.

Next week: Sammy Guevara vs. Matt Hardy! Mr. Brodie Lee and Colt Cabana vs. Sonny Kiss and "The Bad Boy" Joey Janela! Wardlow vs. Luchasaurus in a Lumberjack Match! Natural Nightmares ("The Natural" Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall) vs. FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler)! Jon Moxley in action with Tazz on commentary! (It is announced that the papers handed to Colt Cabana were a contract for The Dark Order.)

Reba finds Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. in a dumpster. An ungrateful Britt Baker tells Reba to get Tony Schiavone and to get her out of the area, then tells Big Swole that she will make Big Swole pay for what she has done and get her if it is the last thing she does.

Matt Hardy guests on commentary for the next match.

Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent) retain #1 contendership of the AEW World Tag Team Championships against Le Sex Gods (Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara). After the match, one of the cameramen gets in the ring and reveals themselves to be Orange Cassidy, who attacks Chris Jericho. It is announced that Chris Jericho will face Orange Cassidy at Fyter Fest.

Here are the top five moments from tonight's show!
