Raw Deal - Raw recap for September 16, 2019

Seth Rollins shows up to start tonight's show. Rollins says last night was "one hell of a night," but that there is a lot to unpack as he and Braun Strowman lost the Raw tag team titles before they faced off for the WWE Universal Championship against Strowman. He admits that Strowman is very strong and very large, and that Strowman gave him the fight of his life. After giving props to Strowman, he is glad a rematch is not happening following four Stomps and a Pedigree. After retaining the WWE Universal Championship, he was cloaked in darkness on the stage and attacked by The Fiend. In less than three weeks, he faces Bray Wyatt's Fiend at Hell In A Cell. Suddenly, Bray Wyatt appears on the TitanTron. Wyatt says he is glad Seth is okay, but as Seth responds, Ramblin' Rabbit tells Seth to run. Wyatt then says that mistakes and that Seth has made a lot of them and has been forgiven for them, and while friends forgive, The Fiend does not. He says that this may be why The Fiend struck at Clash of Champions, and warns that he may have more to say tonight. After The Fiend's mask flashes briefly on-screen, Wyatt laughs and tells Seth Rollins he will see him in Hell.

The graphics for some of tonight's matches are displayed upside-down.

Backstage, Braun Strowman tells Charly Caruso that the next person to step in the ring will get these hands.

Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode show up, followed by The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder). Roode says that when he and Ziggler decided to become a team, nobody from the fans, the locker room or the commentary team could believe it, and now, they exemplify greatness. Suddenly, Braun Strowman shows up. The Revival tries to fight them, but Strowman makes quick work of them before booting Ziggler in the face. Roode runs away, but Strowman goes for a victory lap and bowls everyone over before chasing Roode away.

Backstage, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross mention Sasha Banks trashing the women's tag team titles and Bayley forgiving her, and vow to show them who's boss later tonight.

The O.C. ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) beat Cedric Alexander and The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik). After the match, both teams brawl, and the brawl ends with a middle rope Styles Clash on Cedric.

In footage from earlier today at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, Carmella and R-Truth are amazed by the building when Kane - now Glenn Jacobs, the mayor of Nashville, Tennessee - shows up. Mayor Jacobs says he would love to show R-Truth around town in the limousine. R-Truth accepts, and the two of them head out of the museum.

Baron Corbin beats Chad Gable to win the King of the Ring Tournament and become 2019 King of the Ring.

Backstage, Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) are at the Maria Kanellis Gender Reveal Party with various Superstars including Mark Kanellis, which is coming up next.

Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) host the Maria Kanellis Gender Reveal Party, and Maria reveals that her baby is a boy. Maria then tells Mike Kanellis that Ricochet is the father of her child, which infuriates Mike to the point that he slaps him and challenges him to a match right now. Titus O'Neil tells him to fix this. Street Profits then joke about what kind of match the match will be.

Ricochet quickly beats Mike Kanellis.

Bray Wyatt adds pictures of The Fiend's victims with their eyes crossed out to the Wall of Friendship, then states it is time to find some more friends.

After the commercial break, Maria Kanellis chews out Mike Kanellis, asking what it takes to motivate him and admitting that Ricochet is not the father. She thought that embarrassing Mike would get him to defend his child's honor, but it did not work. She then admits that the real father is Rusev. Mike pleads with Rusev - who is now in better shape than ever - saying he has had a real bad day, then congratulates Rusev and Maria Kanellis before trying to escape. It fails, and Rusev begins decimating Mike.

Rusev beats Mike Kanellis with the Accolade.

In footage from earlier today, R-Truth and Mayor Jacobs are at the Neyland Stadium. Mayor Jacobs then introduces R-Truth to a police officer who is really a referee, then R-Truth runs into the goal post. Mayor Jacobs then wins the WWE 24/7 Championship.

Tomorrow night on SmackDown Live: The coronation of King Corbin!

Before the next match, Cesaro tells Rey Mysterio that he should have listened to his son, and says that he would beat the hell out of him just like he will to Rey.

Rey Mysterio beats Cesaro.

Bray Wyatt adds a picture of Seth Rollins to the Wall of Friendship.

It is announced that there will be a Raw draft on October 11th and a SmackDown Live draft on October 14th, and that the Wild Card Rule will end.

We see a vignette for AOP (Akam and Rezar) - The Authors of Pain. They mention that they have not had one match since before WrestleMania, and says everyone complains of the AOP hurting them. They mention that nobody wanted to fight them in MMA and that nobody wants to fight them in WWE. They state that all the tag teams are soft, none of them are men and that none of them have the manhood to step up to them. After stating that they are the future of the tag team division, they state that the future will be written in pain.

Sasha Banks and Bayley beat Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross with a Banks Statement to Nikki Cross. During the match, Alexa Bliss is taken out of the match by Bayley after she slams Alexa's leg into the steel steps. After the match, Sasha Banks is about to hit Nikki Cross with a steel chair when Becky Lynch shows up with one of her own. Bayley gets in the ring with a steel chair, then Charlotte Flair shows up. Despite wearing heels, Charlotte hits Bayley with a big boot when she rushes at her, then grabs Bayley's steel chair. Becky is able to get the upper hand on Sasha, who retreats.

Backstage, Sasha Banks tells Becky Lynch that it doesn't matter how many chairs she sends at her, for she is the star of the division and she is challenging Becky to a rematch at Hell In A Cell.

In footage from earlier today, R-Truth ambushes Mayor Jacobs at the arena and wins the WWE 24/7 Championship back. Jacobs grabs R-Truth by the throat, but R-Truth tells him he would have to work two jobs as champ and calls a truce, which Jacobs accepts as they head into the arena.

Backstage, Becky Lynch mentions the beating she gave to Sasha Banks and the $10,000 fine she got for hitting the referee, then says she is interested in destroying Sasha Bans at Hell In A Cell.

Lacey Evans beats Dana Brooke with the Sharpshooter following the Woman's Right to send a message to Natalya.

Seth Rollins beats Robert Roode by disqualification after Dolph Ziggler gets involved. After the match, Rollins and Ziggler go at it, then The O.C. ("The Phenoeshows up and overpowers Rollins. Styles then hits Rollins with the Styles Clash. As everyone gangs up on Rollins, Kane shows up and fights off everyone. The O.C. gets choke slammed in the ring, but as Kane is about to hit his pyro, the lights slowly start turning off. The Fiend then shows up in the ring and puts the Mandible Claw on Kane, then crawls towards Seth Rollins and stares him down to end the show. The show then ends with a warped, static-filled version of the Firefly Fun House theme.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!
