205:Alive - 205 Live recap for September 3, 2019

The show begins with the fall-out of what Rowan has done to "The New" Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns. Referees check on Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns. Roman is able to get up and head to the back, but Daniel Bryan is still down.

In footage from earlier today, General Manager Drake Maverick meets with Humberto Carrillo and Lince Dorado, who face each other in tonight's main event. Lince Dorado's lack of Cruiserweight Championship opportunities is brought up, and Maverick decides to raise the stakes in tonight's main event match. If Lince Dorado - who has never gotten an opportunity at the Cruiserweight title - wins, he will be in the title match at Clash of Champions, effectively making the match a Triple Threat Match.

Mike Kanellis beats "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese.

Backstage, Ariya Daivari wishes Lince Dorado luck on his match tonight, and says if it weren't for him taking out Kalisto and Gran Metalik, he would not have confronted Humberto Carrillo and getting tonight's opportunity. Lince Dorado says Ariya Daivari is proof he can succeed with his friends at his side, and calls Daivari "a leech" for coming between them. He says he will win tonight, apologize to his friends, and throw the biggest party 205 Live has ever seen.

We hear from The Singh Brothers (Samir and Sunil Singh), who say they are breaking ground and making improvement for their match next week. They plan to scout The Brian Kendrick and Akira Tozawa in the next match, and as they improve, they will beat them next week.

The Brian Kendrick and Akira Tozawa beat Brandon Scott and Tyler Hastings. After the match, The Brian Kendrick is disappointed but not surprised by the fact that "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher did not show up tonight, and next week, Gallagher gets to redeem himself in a tag team match against himself and Tozawa. Kendrick says Gallagher can pick a tag team partner of his choosing, assuming he is up to the challenge.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Oney Lorcan. All of a sudden, "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese is heard being angry with himself. When Lorcan tells him he's been where he at, Nese attacks him. Referees have to keep Nese away from Lorcan.

Lince Dorado beats Humberto Carrillo to make the WWE Cruiserweight Championship match at Clash Of Champions a Triple Threat Match. After the match, Dorado is attacked from behind by Drew Gulak. When Carrillo confronts Gulak, he is suddenly blindsided by "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese, starting a tag team beatdown. Nese hits Dorado with the Running Nese, and Carrillo falls victim to the Cyclone Crash.
