Generation NXT - NXT recap for August 14, 2019

Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) beat The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake).



In backstage footage from NXT TakeOver, Cathy Kelley interviews Pete Dunne, who says he should be standing here starting his next title run, and if it weren't for the referee being stopped by Velveteen Dream, he would be North American Champion by now. Dunne says that Velveteen Dream did whatever he had to do to keep the title, and that he will do whatever he has to do to take the title from him.

We see a video package of the NXT Breakout Tournament so far.

In footage from NXT TakeOver, Cathy Kelley interviews Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly, who demand where General Manager William Regal is. O'Reilly says that the legal man was not pinned, and that they lost due to incompetence. It is then revealed that Bobby Fish did inadvertently make a legal tag during the match.

We see a video package for Io Shirai vs. Candace LeRae at NXT TakeOver: Toronto.

In footage from NXT TakeOver, Cathy Kelley interviews "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, who only says "And still..."

We see a video package for Johnny Gargano vs. Adam Cole for the NXT Championship in a two-out-of-three falls match with multiple stipulations at NXT TakeOver: Toronto which features some exclusive footage.

Jordan Myles beats Cameron Grimes to win the NXT Breakout Tournament. As a result of this win, Jordan Myles can challenge for an NXT title of his choosing. General Manager William Regal joins Jordan Myles on the stage and hands him a contract for the championship opportunity.
