Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown Live recap for October 10, 2017

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) show up to start tonight's show. The Usos welcome everyone to the Uso Peninentary, and say they told everyone they had the tag team division on lock. They mention that when you come out of Hell In A Cell, you come back a changed man. They then call out The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods), as they have something to say to their faces. The New Day show up, The Usos tell The New Day they went to war and made history last night, and compared to them, the rest of the tag division sucks. They go on to say that Hell In A Cell was exactly Hell, and that everything that could happen did. They make it known that when both teams are in the ring, they are hard to follow; however, when the Cell came back up, the fans didn't see them on the road as well as their personal lives. The Usos say that nobody else can understand what they are going through other than The New Day, and after all that they went through last night, they belong here as they are the tag division. The New Day want to know if this is an "Uce truce." The Usos say that The New Day have their respect. As both teams are about to shake hands, The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley) show up. Mojo says it's the same two teams taking the credit while the rest of the division are left out in the cold. Mojo gets told to sit on the sideline like he did during his NFL career, then Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin show up. Gable tells The Hype Bros to go to the back of the line and make way for the team that broke them. The Usos tell Chad Gable he is smart for teaming with Shelton Benjamin. then tell them to go to the back of the line anyway. Then Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) show up, as does The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor). Tyler Breeze feels followed, but The Ascension want a piece. The Usos are about to tell everyone to head to the back of the line, but The New Day tells The Usos that Breezango are cool. The Usos then dare all the teams to get in the ring if they want the blue brand tag team titles that badly, then General Manager Daniel Bryan shows up and tonight is not a good night for this. He thanks The Usos and The New Day for last night's match, then asks them to get out of the ring. As for the rest of the tag team division, they will compete in a Fatal 4-Way to decide #1 contenders for the SmackDown tag titles, and that happens next.

The team of Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin beat The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley), The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) and Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match to become the #1 contenders for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

Dasha Fuentes is in front of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn's shared locker room. We are yet to get an interview.

Natalya is holding the SmackDown Women's Championship, saying it feels good. Lana and Tamina show up. Lana says it will feel better on Tamina. Natalya says her fantasy is real, but Carmella shows up and says hers is more real than others'. Natalya says all of them deserve to be champion more than Charlotte Flair, who shows up. Natalya asks if Charlotte Flair broke her father's heart again, and gets punched. This starts a brawl that also involves Becky Lynch and Naomi.

Renee Young interviews Baron Corbin. He says it feels good to shove the United States title in the face of the "keyboard warriors." He says he didn't need shortcuts to beat two men at Hell In A Cell, and he doesn't need any to beat one. Corbin says that tonight, it's about the belt that AJ Styles squandered.

Becky Lynch beats Carmella with the Disarmher.

Kevin Owens shows up. Owens is seen hobbling his way towards and into the ring after what happened Sunday. It is announced that Commissioner Shane McMahon has been hospitalized with a ruptured spleen. Owens says he did what he was going to do at Hell In A Cell, and sent Shane McMahon to Hell. Now, Shane is gone and is never coming back, and says the fans should count their blessing as they almost lost him too. At one point in the match, he was blinded by the white light everyone hears about, and he felt his soul leave his body. He began to ascend, and it felt like he floating and looking down at himself. Then, he was standing in a long line in Heaven. He was suddenly waved to the front by St. Peter himself, and was told he was needed down on Earth. He was even provided his own guardian angel in the form of Sami Zayn. When he came back down to Earth, he realized his purpose was to make SmackDown Live his own personal heaven known as "The Kevin Owens Show." Owens then brings out Sami Zayn, who shows up in a very cheerful mood. Owens said he had no idea he would help him at Hell In A Cell and that he had no idea why he would do so; nevertheless, Owens thanks Sami Zayn. Sami says his eyes were opened when he powerbombed him into a table weeks ago. He says he has always tried to be the good guy and please everybody, but it got him only to mediocrity. Meanwhile, Owens got all the accolades while he got to sleep at night with a clear conscience. Sami thought he would get his chance when he was moved to SmackDown Live, and says Shane "put on a show" about how he would be treated better on the blue brand. He then says that was the last meeting he had with Shane until he tried to warn him about Owens a couple of weeks ago. It was then that Shane brushed him off, and he realized that Shane never really cared about him. When Hell In A Cell arrived, he wanted Shane to win, and says Shane had the match won until he climbed the cell wall. He has had many things to say about Owens over the years, but Owens has always been his brother, and that Shane wanted to end his career. Sami then says he saved Owens because it was the right thing to do. Sami says he thought he despised Owens; now he despises the fact that Owens was right. He thanks and hugs Owens. Owens and Sami then repeatedly congratulate each other.

Randy Orton and "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura beat Rusev and Aiden English.

Renee Young interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. AJ Styles says that Baron Corbin did not pin him Sunday night, and says that while Corbin is good, he makes mistakes. He then says he will be damned if Corbin steals his title and walks out with his head held high, and that it is the end of days for Corbin's title reign.

Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are coming back to SmackDown Live as "The Bludgeon Brothers."

Rich Swann vs. TJP on 205 Live tonight is officially a two-out-of-three falls match.

Bobby Roode shows up. Roode is glad to say that his first WWE pay-per-view match was absolutely glorious. But two seconds later, Dolph Ziggler decided to attack him from behind. He tells Dolph that if he wants to fight, then let's fight. Dolph Ziggler shows up with his now-traditional nonexistent entrance, then says he exposed him as the fraud he is. Ziggler claims he dominated Roode and that he was the better man in the ring, and that Roode panicked because "his lie unraveled" and that he did the only thing he could do to win: grab his tights. Dolph Ziggler says he was better, but Bobby Roode says he was smarter. Dolph gets angry and demands a rematch, and Roode tells Ziggler that if he wants his rematch, he's got it, and says it will go the same way the first match went. Dolph interprets this as Roode having no chance of beating him, and Roode tells him to get in the ring so they can have it right now. Dolph teases getting into the ring for their rematch, then tells him it's not happening tonight before letting his hair down and going back to the back.

Next week: Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler!

Baron Corbin retains the WWE United States Championship against "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. After the match, Baron Corbin says everyone can look at the US title and eat it, because it's not going anywhere. He also says the fans can cry and he will buy a boat for their tears.

Here are the top 10 moment sfrom tonight's show!
