205:Alive - 205 Live recap for October 10, 2017

Renee Young interviews Kalisto to start tonight's show. For the very first time in 205 Live and the Cruiserweight Division, a luchador is champion. Kalisto calls it a dream come true, especially when he won it on what would have been Eddie Guerrero's 50th birthday. He promises to bring the honor and respect that the Cruiserweight title deserves...something Enzo Amore did not do. Enzo Amore shows up with Ariya Daivari. Kalisto may be Cruiserweight Champion, but this is still "The 'Zo Show." Enzo says he has held the show like a backpack, and that backpack could tip Kalisto over. He brags about main eventing Raw three weeks ago, calls himself the godfather of the Cruiserweight Division, and calls the division "his sons." He says the division, who enjoys the fruits of his labors, held him up last night like the end of "Rudy." Enzo says he was not ready for the match and still had it won, but Mustafa Ali cost him the title. Enzo then becomes the pot calling the kettle black, saying Kalisto lied, cheated and stole the belt. Kalisto then quotes Enzo: "By an inch or a mile, a win is a win." He won, and Enzo won. Enzo admits he did say that, but says he treated the title like a queen and says Kalisto won by a centimeter. Enzo says he will take the Cruiserweight title back at Tables, Ladders and Chairs, and as he continues to talk, Daivari ambushes Kalisto. Kalisto sees it coming and nails him, but Daivari gets the upper hand and Enzo soon joins in. Mustafa Ali runs in and takes down Ariya Daivari, and Enzo Amore rolls out of the ring.

Before the next match, Rich Swann tells TJP that this match comes with a price: their friendship. He warns TJP that there will be no handshakes or hugs, and when all is said and done, there will be no friendship. He says TJP proved their friendship meant nothing, and that he hopes it was worth it for him when it's all over.

Rich Swann beats TJP in a Two Out Of Three Falls Match with two straight wins. Rich Swann earns the first fall by countering TJP's knee bar with a bridge pin, and the second fall with a top rope Phoenix Splash. During the match, Kalisto and Mustafa Ali vs. Enzo Amore and Ariya Daivari is made official for later tonight.

Backstage, Enzo Amore tells Ariya Daivari that Kalisto is a dirtbag, and so is Mustafa Ali. He then says they have it in the bag, and that they will win tonight. Drew Gulak shows up and says he feels Enzo's pain. Drew Gulak says he cannot stand to see Kalisto as champion, as he is the opposite of what he wants in a better 205 Live. He admits he and Enzo have their differences, but he is "woke." He says he knows what it takes to make a difference. He then says that in their match, he will do just that. Enzo then says "What just happened? Something terrible."

Drew Gulak attacks Akira Tozawa from behind before the next match. As referees restore order, Gulak rams the handle of his "No Chants" sign into Tozawa's throat.

Dasha Fuentes interviews Cedric Alexander. Kendrick and Gallagher found out last week he has a plan and that he has an edge. He may not stab people in the back to get what he wants, but he does not back down. Gallagher and Kendrick may have something up their sleeves, but whatever it is, he will be ready.

Mustafa Ali and Kalisto beat Enzo Amore and Ariya Daivari.
