Generation NXT - NXT recap for October 4, 2017

NXT stands with Las Vegas.

Ruby Riot beats Billie Kay and Peyton Royce after Nikki Cross shows up from the crowd again and decides to become Ruby's tag team partner, much to Ruby's aggravation.

In footage from earlier today, Christy St. Cloud interviews Lars Sullivan. He says everyone should realize he is always in control, yet his opponents are afraid of his rage. He says they should be afraid. Sullivan says that next week, Danny Burch should be in control...of his fear.

In footage from earlier today, Zelina Vega says Johnny Gargano is mad and that his break-up with Tommaso Ciampa still haunts him. She says she knows how to tug heartstrings, and says Andrade "Cien" Almas won fair and square. If Gargano is still upset over it, he can have his rematch. With each victory, Almas will get closer to championship gold. She then says that Johnny Gargano became relevant again when he shared the ring with Almas. But as soon as his lifeline was cut...boop. Dead.

In two weeks: SAnity (Eric Young, Alexander Wulfe, Killian Dain) vs. the newly-christened The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Adam Cole)!

Lio Rush (debuting straight out of Ring of Honor) vs. Aleister Black ends before it can begin when The Velveteen Dream shows up from out of nowhere and blindsides Rush. As Aleister gets in the ring, Velveteen Dream gets out and tries to make him say his name, but Aleister Black looks straight forward while sitting in the middle of the ring and fails to acknowledge him.

Kairi Sane beats Aliyah in her NXT debut.

Next week: Nikki Cross vs. Liv Morgan vs. Peyton Royce in a qualifying match for a slot in the NXT Women's Championship Tournament, where the winner faces Kairi Sane in the first round! Johnny Gargano vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas in a rematch from NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III!

Drew McIntyre retains the NXT Championship against Roderick Strong. Both men look at each other with sorrow before the second and final Claymore, with both men knowing how much they wanted the title. After the match, both men shake hands. As Roderick Strong leaves, he is met by The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Adam Cole). McIntyre is confused by all this.
