Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for October 28, 2017

"The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian says that Jay Lethal has a case of "boo-boo face" after he cost him a shot at the ROH World Championship, and now he has earned a victory at the Honor Rumble while Lethal has earned a thrashing. "The Almighty" Christopher Daniels says that he and Kazarian are going to bullshit all over everything people love about wrestling, and that they are going to do the same to whatever Lethal wants to do, too.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes guests on commentary for the next match.

The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan) show up with Taven and Marseglia carrying signs reading "Conspiracy!" before the next match. When Jonathan Gresham shows up, he rips one of the signs out of their hands and throws it out of the ring.

Jonathan Gresham beats TK O'Ryan by disqualification. During the match, The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) show up to even the odds, but they are ejected, as are Matt Taven and Vinny Marseglia. After this, O'Ryan shoves the referee, but the referee shoves back and O'Ryan shortly falls victim to an ankle lock submission. Marseglia drags the referee out of the ring during a bridge pin, and this leads to The Kingdom (Taven, O'Ryan, Marseglia) rushing into the ring to stomp Gresham. Ending the match, Sabin and Shelley run back in to clear the ring out.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes announces that now that he is a company man, he will right some of the wrongs in Ring of Honor, one of which is an upstart who looked for an opportunity a few weeks ago. He feels like defending the ROH World Championship, and says he will do just that against the upstart: Scorpio Sky. Sky bends down and kisses Cody's ring, then starts the match with a schoolboy pin for a near-fall.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes retains the ROH World Championship against Scorpio Sky with the American Nightmare.

It's time for Coleman's Pulpit with Caprice Coleman. Tonight's special guest is Kenny King. King says it feels good to bring the TV title back to America, and says he is a fighting champion and will defend the title anywhere, anytime. King says he believes in himself, and that Ring of Honor simply gave him the opportunity and he turned it into championship gold. Caprice says that Ring of Honor has been sleeping on King, and that he is just now seeing his full potential.

Before the next match, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian says that he and "The Almighty" Christopher Daniels despise all the fans in the building. The show cuts to a commercial break as he speaks.

After the break, "The Almighty" Christopher Daniels is seen talking on the top rope. It does not take long for KUSHIDA and Jay Lethal to show up.

KUSHIDA and Jay Lethal beat The Addiction ("The Almighty" Christopher Daniels and "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian) with a Hoverboard Lock to Daniels. During the next match, The Addiction announce that they will take the count-out loss after the fans make it clear that they want to see them lose this match. KUSHIDA and Jay Lethal respond by hitting them with tope suicidas.

Next week: Mark Briscoe vs. Kenny King for the ROH World Television Championship!
