Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 24, 1995

WrestleMania 11 will be available May 24th from Coliseum Home Video.

The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) beat The Brooklyn Brawler and Barry Horowitz.

Bam Bam Bigelow says he will take the WWF Championship and make it the crown jewel of "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Corporation.

Diesel says he plans to hold the WWF Championship as a fighting champion, and says Bam Bam Bigelow may have made a mistake in taking him on. He hopes to get his redemption just like his friend Lawrence "L.T." Taylor got his at WrestleMania 11.

Bertha Faye - accompanied by Harvey Wippleman - beats La Pantera Serena.

Razor Ramon and The 1-2-3 Kid take on "Double J" Jeff Jarrett and The Roadie at In Your House, while Bret "The Hit Man" Hart will take on Hakushi.

Sycho Sid is not happy...and won't be until he is WWF Champion. He has friends in low places...

Diesel retains the WWF Championship against Bam Bam Bigelow after Tatanka trips up Bam Bam, sabotaging Bam Bam's chance to redeem himself in the eyes of "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. After the match, Ted DiBiase chews out Bam Bam for humiliating him in the last few months, and fires him. DiBiase then slaps Bam Bam, and Tatanka attacks him, but Bam Bam strikes back and tosses Tatanka out of the ring. Bam Bam grabs the microphone and tells DiBiase he quit. Before he can hurt DiBiase, Irwin R. Schyster shows up and attacks him alongside Tatanka. Sycho Sid joins in soon afterwards and finishes the job, then Diesel rushes back into the ring and clears the ring.

Sycho Sid takes on Razor Ramon next week on Raw!

"The Portugese Man-O-War" Aldo Montoya beats The Black Phantom. During the match, it is announced that Jim Ross interviews Bam Bam Bigelow on Option 6, and that there are updates on Shawn Michaels on the WWF Superstar Hotline.

We get our first look at a gentleman named Hunter Hearst Helmsley.

As Jerry "The King" Lawler talks about how he wants to get Bret "The Hit Man" Hart to sign the contract for a match against him, it is revealed that Bam Bam Bigelow and Diesel shook hands during the break after Diesel made the save for him.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 17, 1995

Jerry "The King" Lawler is on commentary again this week.

Jean-Pierre LaFitte beats Duke "The Dumpster" Droese in his debut match.

Bob Backlund says he plans to pend spring break on the beach in his usual suit and bowtie, trying to spread the importance of knowledge even as the cameraman keeps focusing on the lovely ladies.

Doink beats Roy Raymond.

Totally live on May 14th is WWF In Your House, which costs $14.95 - less than half the cost of a trip to the movies for a family of four. Sycho Sid vs. Diesel for the WWF Championship - assuming Diesel is still champion - is the first official match for the event. Details of the house for the In Your House contest are revealed: the house is in an exclusive neighborhood in Orlando, has three bedrooms, is near a golf course, has a swimming pool and also has a two-car garage.

"The King of Harts" Owen Hart and Yokozuna retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against The 1-2-3 Kid and Bob "Spark Plug" Holly.

On the WWF Hotline: Jim Ross interviews Alundra Blayze. Also, the new Superstar interactive game!

The Undertaker says: don't drink and drive.

Henry Godwinn beats Rich Myers. During the match, Cornfed from the USA original series Duckman is on the phone.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 10, 1995

Jerry "The King" Lawler joins Vince McMahon on commentary this week.

Adam Bomb and Tatanka wrestle to a double count-out.

The Headshrinkers (Fatu and Sione) beat Tony DeVito and Mike Bell.

The WrestleMania XI Encore Plus presentation is tomorrow night at 8 PM Eastern/7 PM Central on pay-per-view!

We get out first look at Jean-Pierre LaFitte, a pirate and descendant of Jean LaFitte who plans to deep-six in the World Wrestling Federation with the power of some gold coins that are said to have magical powers. He takes on Duke "The Dumpster" Droese next week on Raw.

We finally see the beating that Sycho Sid gave Shawn Michaels last week. During the break, we find out that Shawn Michaels had enough of Sycho Sid and said he has been beaten up by people bigger and better than him, and more or less dismissed him from his bodyguard duty. Sid took offense to this and laid waste to Michaels with two devastating power bombs before putting his boot on the back of Michaels. After the show went off the air, Diesel got help from the officials as Sycho Sid mocked him and his friendship with Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels was then carried to the back on a stretcher. It is then announced that Shawn Michaels will be out of action for some time.

Kama - now wearing a gold chain melted down and made from The Undertaker and Paul Bearer's urn - around his neck - beats Scott Taylor.

It is announced that Alundra Blayze suffered a broken nose last week and had to undergo reconstructive nose surgery in Minneapolis after last week's post-match beatdown from an unknown individual, who is now revealed to be more than a fan.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, The 1-2-3 Kid and Bob "Spark Plug" Holly can't wait to see what their opponents have tonight, and Bret plans to get a piece of Hakushi for himself.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, The 1-2-3 Kid and Bob "Spark Plug" Holly beat "The King of Harts" Owen Hart, Yokozuna and Hakushi, with a surprise schoolboy from Holly on Owen Hart after Bret Kick drop kicks his brother.

Next week on Raw: Yokozuna and "The King of Harts" Owen Hart defend the WWF Tag Team Championships against The 1-2-3 Kid and Bob "Spark Plug" Holly!

American Wrestling Experience - AWF Warriors of Wrestling recap for April 8, 1995

Sgt. Slaughter says Americans have their freedom of choice, and your choice for professional wrestling should be the American Wrestling Federation.

"Gentleman" Chris Adams beats Greg "The Hammer" Valentine by decision to continue to the semi-finals of the AWF Heavyweight Championship Tournament. During the match, Sheik Adnan Alkahassie speaks for Mr. Hughes in the Warriors Corners, and says Mr. Hughes will fulfill his promise to Tito Santana. Mr. Hughes tells Santana he will go down for the last time to the Sidewalk Slam.

"Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr. beats Koko B. Ware in the first round with a three-quarters nelson pin to continue to the semi-finals of the AWF Heavyweight Championship Tournament, where he will face "Gentleman" Chris Adams.

"Luscious" Tommy Rich beats Sgt. Slaughter by disqualification in the second round to continue to the semi-finals of the AWF Heavyweight Championship Tournament. During the match, Tito Santana shows up in the Warriors Corner, and says he has a big obstacle in the form of Mr. Hughes to overcome. He has the fans on his side, and that the better man will be decided soon. During the second round, Tommy Rich pushes Sgt. Slaughter into referee Billy Silverman, knocking the referee down. Rico Suave gets involved and holds Sgt. Slaughter from behind, but Rich accidentally hits Suave instead. Rich jumps over the top rope to escape Slaughter, and Silverman calls for the bell when he comes to, believing Sgt. Slaughter had tosses Rich over the top rope.

Tito Santana beats Mr. Hughes by disqualification to continue to the semi-finals of the AWF Heavyweight Championship Tournament, where he will face "Luscious" Tommy Rich. During the match, "Gentleman" Chris Adams is in the Warriors Corner. He says that he knew the AWF was going to be tough, but not this tough. He says that he and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine wrestled to a draw, but the round system beat Valentine. Next week, the same thing will happen to "Cowboy" Bob Orton, Jr. Shortly after this, Tito Santana accidentally hits referee Jesse Hernandez when Mr. Hughes pushes him into Santana's path. Valentine ends up putting Hughes in a sleeper, and the referee comes to and confronts Santana. Santana explains what happened, and the referee rules in favor of Santana.

Sgt. Slaughter says you've made the right choice with the American Wrestling Federation, and until next week...you're dismissed.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 3, 1995

Hakushi beats Bob "Spark Plug" Holly after unseen interference by Yokozuna. During the match, Yokozuna and "The King of Harts" Owen Hart show up to watch the match from ringside. Owen Hart and The 1-2-3 Kid eventually brawl when Owen Hart goes for a cheap shot, but Yokozuna gets The Kid from behind.

In the post-WrestleMania 11 press conference, Bam Bam Bigelow says he's going to keep on wrestling.

The WrestleMania 11 encore is one week from Tuesday on pay-per-view!

Vince McMahon interviews Diesel inside the ring. He says that if Sycho Sid didn't distract the ref last night, he may not have retained the WWF Championship. As for Bret "The Hit Man" Hart's championship rematch, Diesel says he deserves it. He admits that he and Shawn Michaels were the best of friends at the start, and that their former friendship may have had a hand in last night's match. He says that he had a hard time focusing because of it, and says that Shawn deserves a rematch, but warns him that Sycho Sid is not his friend and is out only for himself, and tells Shawn to "leave home without him" when the rematch happens.

Lex Luger and The British Bulldog - now officially known as The Allied Powers - beat Well Dunn (Timothy Well and Steven Dunn).

Jennifer McCarthy, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Pamela Lee Anderson and Nicholas Turturro say they had a great time at WrestleMania 11.

Alundra Blayze beats Bull Nakano to win the WWF Women's Championship! During the match, it is announced that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, The 1-2-3 Kid and Bob "Spark Plug" Holly will take on Hakushi, "The King of Harts" Owen Hart and Yokozuna in a six-man tag match next week on Raw. After the match, a rather large woman - perhaps larger than Bull Nakano - attacks Alundra Blayze.

Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) beat Ben Jordan and Tony Roy.

Vince McMahon interviews Shawn Michaels and Sycho Sid inside the ring. Shawn says he's in pain all over after last night's match with Diesel. He also said he had trouble focusing due to his former friendship with Diesel. He accepts Diesel's invitation to a rematch for the WWF Championship, and that he'll return the favor if he wins. When asked about Sid, Shawn Michaels says he doesn't need a bodyguard to protect him or cost him a title match. Sid wipes the smile off his face as Shawn speaks, and he gets angry when Shawn says he's giving him the night off during the rematch. This causes Vince McMahon to prematurely end the interview as Sid tells Shawn not to give him the night off and to give him nothing but respect. The show quickly cuts to a commercial break.

After the break, the first and last thing we see is Shawn Michaels lying in the center of the ring with Sid putting his foot on top of his ribs...and Diesel going after Sid.

WrestleMania 11 - The Results

Special Olympian Kathy Huey sings "America The Beautiful," replacing Fishbone, who was originally scheduled to appear and sing the song.

Lex Luger and The British Bulldog beat The Blu Brothers (Jacob and Eli Blu) despite the Blu Brothers performing the old bait-and-switch. After the match, Uncle Zebekiah is angry that the match did not go his way.

Nicholas Turturro of NYPD Blue is in The Million Dollar Corporation's ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, Tatanka, Bam Bam Bigelow, Nikolai Volkoff, King Kong Bundy, Irwin R. Schyster, Kama) locker room, but he is unable to be heard on the microphone due to technical problems.

The 1-2-3 Kid and Razor Ramon are backstage. The 1-2-3 Kid says that Razor Ramon is ready to take care of business, and if The Roadie gets involved, he'll put him in his place.

Razor Ramon beats "Double J" Jeff Jarrett by disqualification after The Roadie interferes. "Double J" Jeff Jarrett retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship. The 1-2-3 Kid goes right for The Roadie, but Jarrett attacks The Kid before putting him in a Figure Four Leg Lock. Razor Ramon beats up arrett, and The Roadie joinsin again. Officials have to break the fracas up, which ends with Jarrett receiving a bloody nose. Jarrett tells Razor Ramon he is nothing and that payback is a bitch.

We get back to Nicholas Turturro, who interviews Jenny McCarthy. Kama tries to get a piece of the action, as does Shawn Michaels, who says he can't wait to walk out with Pamela Anderson and the WWF Championship. Sycho Sid says Diesel is scared.

Todd Pettengill interviews fomer Chicago Bears player Neil Anderson. Anderson says Lawrence "L.T." Taylor knows what he's doing, and has good people to see to it that his match with Bam Bam Bigelow is fair.

Major League Baseball American League umpire Larry Young is the referee for this match.

The Undertaker beats King Kong Bundy. During the match, Paul Bearer and The Undertaker take their urn back, but Kama steals the urn back from Paul Bearer, and tells Jim Ross he will melt it down and turn into a chain he will wear around his neck.

Nicholas Turturro is at Pamela Anderson's dressing room. She and Shawn Michaels reportedly had a disagreement, and Pam stormed off. Meanwhile, Lawrence "L.T." Taylor's linebackers show up looking for Bam Bam Bigelow's allies. Also, Turturro walks into Johnathan Taylor Thomas and Bob Backlund playing chess. Backlund is distressed, first at the intrusion, then by Thomas answering all his questions correctly and beating him at chess.

"The King of Harts" Owen Hart's mystery partner for the next match is none other than a man who beat his brother Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for the WWF Championship...Yokozuna.

The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) call Yokozuna's sudden appearance as "The King of Harts" Owen Hart's mystery partner a surprise, but they intend to both enter and leave as WWF Tag Team Champions.

Yokozuna and "The King of Harts" Owen Hart beat The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) to win the WWF Tag Team Championships!

Todd Pettengill interviews Bam Bam Bigelow backstage. He plans to take Lawrence "L.T." Taylor down tonight, and that he's not worried about any of L.T.'s allies.

The special guest referee for the submission match between Bret "The Hit Man" Hart and Bob Backlund is none other than Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats Bob Backlund in a submission match with his own Crossface Chicken Wing. When interviewed by Jim Ross, Backlund says he "saw the light."

Nicholas Turturro still can't find Pamela Anderson, and that some celebrity changes have been made.

Todd Pettengill interviews Diesel. Diesel says he has Shawn Michaels figured out, and he plans to leave WrestleMania 11 as WWF Champion.

Jonathan Taylor Thomas is the special celebrity guest timekeeper for the next match, and Nicholas Tarturro is the special celebrity guest ring announcer.

Shawn Michaels is accompanied by Jennifer McCarthy before the next match, confirming that Michaels dumped Pamela Anderson for McCarthy. When Diesel shows up, however, Pamela Anderson shows up with him, much to Michaels' chagrin.



Diesel retains the WWF Championship against Shawn Michaels. After the match, an angry Sycho Sid says it's not over. Diesel invites both Pamela Anderson, Jennifer McCarthy, Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Nicholas Turturro to the ring.

Todd Pettengill interviews Shawn Michaels, who says he had Diesel right where he wanted him near the end. Sycho Sid says Diesel was close to losing his title, and that Shawn Michaels is not finished with him.

The All-Pro Team (Ken Norton Jr., Chris Spielman, Carl Banks, Rickey Jackson, Reggie White and Steve McMichael) nearly brawl with The Million Dollar Corporation ("The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, Tatanka, Nikolai Volkoff, King Kong Bundy, Irwin R. Schyster, Kama) before the next match.

Salt 'n Pepa perform Whatta Man during Lawrence "L.T." Taylor's entrance.

Lawrence "L.T." Taylor beats Bam Bam Bigelow. After the match, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase admonishes Bam Bam Bigelow for his loss.

American Wrestling Experience - AWF Warriors of Wrestling recap for April 1, 1995

Sgt. Slaughter says Americans have their freedom of choice, and your choice for professional wrestling should be the American Wrestling Federation.

Tony Atlas beats Ron Powers by pinfall in the second round. During the match, Sgt. Slaughter is in the Warriors' Corner. Next week, he, Rico Suave and "Luscious" Tommy Rich will find out who the better man is between him and Rich, and that Rich will learn why his elbow is called the Slaughter Cannon, his wrists the Cobra Clutch and his name is Sgt. Slaughter.

Ken Resnick interviews Tito Santana says he's feeling a little bruised on the outside, and real bruised on the inside after Hercules and Sheik Adnan Alkahassie's attempts to take him out of the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament last week, and says they did not get the job done. As for Mr. Hughes, he will not get the job done, either. Santana does not like Sheik Adnan Alkahassie, and if the Sheik gets involved in his match with Mr. Hughes, he'll have something left for him. He says the AWF Heavyweight Championship means everything to him, and nothing to Alkahassie or to Mr. Hughes.

Michael P.S. Hayes beats Bobby Bradley by pinfall in the first round.

"Gentleman" Chris Adams beats The Warlord by pinfall in the second round when Warlord inadvertently kept both of his shoulders on the mat after a belly-to-back suplex pin and Adams gets one of his shoulders up before the three count. During the match, "Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr. is in the Warriors' Corner, and says that while Johnny Gunn is viewed as the dark horse in the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament, he will ride Johnny Gunn into the dirt just like he has with other dark horses.

Ken Resnick interviews "Gentleman" Chris Adams, who says he was trying to wear down The Warlord, who he admits is a big man and tough to beat. He says he won the match because he feels the fans are 100% behind him, which makes him feel strong. As for the winner between Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and Jimmy Powers, he plans to scout the match and says he has his money on Powers.

"Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr. beats Johnny Gunn by pinfall at the last second in the first round to continue on to the quarter-finals of the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament, after referee Billy Silverman consults with referee Jesse Hernandez. During the match, Terry Taylor does his best impersonation of "Macho Man' Randy Savage, then Mr. Hughes appears in the Warriors' Corner, talking about how Hurricane Smith and Jimmy Snuka both went down to the Sidewalk Slam, and how Tito Santana will also go down with the Sidewalk Slam and go down for the last time next week.

Ken Resnick interviews "Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr. and Sir Oliver Humperdink. Humperdink says Johnny Gunn has found out what it means to step in the ring with Orton, and next week, Koko B. Ware will also go down. Orton says predictions come true when you have to ability to back it up, and he has that ability. He knows that Koko B. Ware has worked hard to get where he is, but it stops next week as he will be in the ring with a man with desire to win the championship and that he will not get in his way.

Greg "The Hammer" Valentine beats Jimmy Powers with a small package out of a Figure Four Leg Lock in the second round to continue on to the quarter-finals of the AWF Heavyweight Championship tournament. During the match, commentator Terry Taylor does his best impersonation of Hulk Hogan and tries to get closer to Rico Suave's secretary with the laptop computer at ringside.
