Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 3, 1997
It is announced that the match between Sting and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship was made official for Starrcade during a commercial break during the premiere of Assault On Devil's Island last Tuesday. We see a scene from the movie, then the press conference where Sting suddenly shows and signs the contract for the match before pointing his baseball bat at Hogan as he leaves.
Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero beats Rey Mysterio Jr. and Steven Regal with a Texas Cloverleaf to Rey after Malenko tags himself in before Eddie goes for the frog splash, much to Eddie's chagrin.
We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.
It is announced that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has suffered nerve damage in his face after the events of Halloween Havoc and that there is no telling how long he will be out of action.

He says that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's injuries are consistent with brain damage that caused him to get in the steel cage with Hogan in the first place and that Sting suffers from similar brain damage. He also acknowledges the WWF and USA Network trying to put Assault On Devil's Island and Hulk Hogan down and steal Hogan's thunder, and calls all the attempts a miserable failure. He then announces that there will be more movies to come, and next week, the entire New World Order will be on hand with a huge surprise for everyone in WCW.

He tells Curt Hennig that he will find him in the building and make sure he does that on the air, saying he will be Eric Lindross and Hennig will be Yeager. He dares Hennig, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall to cut the sleeves off of his robe. He hopes to eliminate Hennig in the World War 3 match and go on to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour, and we see another performance by The Nitro Girls. "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko replaces Bobby "The Brain" Heenan on commentary for the second hour.

He tells Zbyszko he doesn't want any part of him because he can't even beat Eric Bischoff. After showing the footage of Hall and Bischoff's beating on Zbyszko at Halloween Havoc in typical nWo black-and-white, he then tells the backstage area to bring out Chris Jericho.
Chris Jericho beats Scott Hall after reversing The Outsider's Edge with a roll-up, then Hall hits Jericho in the back of the head and hits him with The Outsider's Edge not once, but twice before threatening to do the same to referee Billy Silverman. Hall is about to go for a third Outsider's Edge on Jericho when "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko leaves the commentary table and confronts Hall, telling him to sign the dotted line on his open contract in his hands. Hall walks away, and tells him he will be known by every fan as the biggest coward in the nWo who is afraid of a two-handicap broadcaster.

Ray Traylor beats Steve "Mongo" McMichael. During the match, Bill Goldberg shows up with Mongo's Super Bowl ring on his pinky, and this is enough to distract Mongo.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. Page says he is living a dream and doing exactly what he wants to do. Whether he is hurt or not, he's loving every minute of it. He announces that Halloween Havoc had the biggest pay-per-view viewing audience for a wrestling PPV of all time, and that he is honored to be part of the double main event. He says that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan calling him out jacks him up, and beating him by disqualification doesn't get it for him. What does get him is that he wrestled Savage with torn cartilage in my ribs on Sunday and then wrestled Hogan the next week, and he stood toe-to-toe with Hogan and both men gave it everything they had, and that Hogan still couldn't beat him. At 6'5" and 250 lbs., he is not he biggest or the strongest, but he has the most heart in the business today, as nobody wants it more than him. If he wins the World War 3 match and Hogan is still the champ, he knows Hogan a lot better and says Hogan should be worried.

Lex Luger then puts Hennig in the Torture Rack, but Flair continues to go after Hennig. Luger chases after Flair and catches him just before Flair can get his hands on Hennig on the way to the back, and confronts Flair for costing him the United States title as the show goes off the air.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 3, 1997
The show starts with Vince McMahon interviewing "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in the ring. When you do to Austin what Owen Hart did, it really pisses him off, and his match against Owen will not be a wrestling match; instead, it will be payback, as when he gets dropped on head and paralyzed, somebody's getting their ass whipped. On the subject of ticking everyone in the WWF off, everyone's pissed him off, as he wants not only the Intercontinental Championship but also Owen's ass, and says The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, Rocky Maivia) and Ahmed Johnson were both at the wrong place at the wrong time, and that when somebody sticks their head in the ring with him - or when he sticks his head in the ring with somebody - somebody's getting their ass whipped, plain and simple. Ahmed Johnson shows up, surrounded by referees who try to keep him from getting in the ring with Austin. Ahmed says that he respected Austin up until last week, but after that, he crossed his end zone. He promises to kick Austin's ass if it's the last thing he does, and challenges him to a match tonight. Steve Austin asks the crowd to give him a "Hell Yeah" if they want to see Ahmed get his ass kicked, then says he'll be happy to beat the hell out of him on live television.
Sunny is special guest ring announcer for the next match, and "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher guests on commentary.
Aguila beats Super Crazy ton continue to the semi-finals of the Light Heavyweight Championship Tournament. During the match, it is announced that WWF President Gorilla Monsoon is feeling better after his stay in the hospital.
During the weekend, Jim Ross interviewed Dustin (Goldust) and Terri Runnels (Marlena). Terri says it was very hard being with Brian Pillman, with the hardest part being away from her two daughters and Goldust, and says it's great to have a relationship with her husband and be part of a family again. Life throws out so much ugly things, and family is always the first thing she runs to. She mentions that Dakota is in pre-school, and while she isn't a big fan of it, she loves being with her mom and is glad to have her home, and Terri has to tell her she went on a long vacation as that is the only way she can explain to Dakota what happened to her. Dustin suddenly says "I can't do this anymore," and says that everything coming out of her mouth sickens him. For so long, he has lived for his father and for her, and when he was interviewed about his father Dusty Rhodes, it made him cry because Dusty made his life a miserable wreck. He then says that for the last seven years he has spent with Terri, he has been treated like a puppy dog and that she scorns him when he doesn't do anything to her liking. He is sick of Terri disciplining him and keeping him from being himself, and says Terri knows nothing about his life. He says he is tired of living for her and her father, and when Terri was away, he reached out and found something that allowed him to be himself because Terri hasn't done it, and that he watched her occasionally and wonders what she could have been doing. He says that he has now found someone who understands him and allows him to be himself. He then tells Terri he loved her for a long time, but no more. Terri breaks down, and asks why. Dustin says he's done all he can for her, and that he is starting his life over and doing it for himself, and refuses to live for her or Dusty anymore. He tells Terri to take his ring, their marriage and Marlena and shove it up her ass because he's had it with "[her] and [her] shit."
We take a look back at what led to the match between "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for the WWF Championship.
Ahmed Johnson shows up, wanting to take on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin right now, but instead of getting Austin, he gets Paul Bearer and Kane. Even Ahmed cannot bring Kane down, and he is next to fall victim to both a choke slam and Tombstone Piledriver from Kane. After a second Tombstone to Ahmed, Mankind shows up with a metal object and puts Paul Bearer in the Mandible Claw before hitting Kane with the metal object. As Mankind grabs a steel chair outside of the ring to protect Ahmed, Kane gets right back up, and referees have to keep Mankind and Kane apart.
After the break, it is announced that Ahmed Johnson is receiving medical attention. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin then shows up and says Ahmed Johnson was going to get his ass whipped, and that's what happened. He then says that Ahmed got off light, as he would have opened a real can of whoop-ass and fed it to him with a spoon. He then says that if Ahmed can still get in the ring, he'll take him on. If not, he'll face anybody else in the locker room. As he waits, he tells someone to get him a hot dog and a beer. He finally get a challenge in the form of The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, Rocky Maivia), and Kama Mustafa is the one to step up. Suddenly, Austin gives Kama a stunner while The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) attack the rest of The Nation. As referees try to get The Nation and The Legion of Doom apart, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin heads to the back with a smile on his face.
The introduction to the show replays to signal the start of War Zone.
Michael Cole interviews "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels in the ring. Instead of Shawn, everyone gets "Ravishing" Rick Rude, who tells all "the fat, out-of-shape Pennsylvania pissants" to button their lips and open their eyes as he introduces D-Generation X (Shawn, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, Rude). Shawn kisses both Triple H and Chyna on the lips, then then Triple H takes the microphone and says they've come out here week after week giving everyone a hard time, and shakes Michael Cole's hands for sticking it out that long before pushing him back, causing him to fall over Chyna. Cole leaves the ring, then Shawn takes the microphone, puts himself a pedestal, and then decides to take it one level higher and says he will always be known as the wrestling god, but Triple H stops him before he can finish that statement and Shawn makes fun of "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan. Triple H says Shawn that to be a god, you have to be as old as god. He also takes potshots at the Halloween Havoc cage match, calling it "Age in the Cage." Shawn says Triple H has made his point, then says he will show Bret "The Hit Man" Hart he is the man. He says showing his bare bottom is nothing compared to what he will do next week: walk out to the ring naked and take "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and show him "The World's Most Dangerous...Man." Triple H says D-Generation X calls the shots, and tells WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter to come out to the ring and make the match official. As Sgt. Slaughter asks Shawn if he wants the mask, Triple H and Shawn run to a pair of paper bags and pull out riot helmets and put them. He asks again, then they run to the bag again and place windshield wipers on the face masks of the riot helmets. Sgt. Slaughter says that they had ways of straightening guys like them out in boot camp, then gives Shawn the match, then adds a stipulation: it's taking place tonight, not next week. When Shawn and Triple H pull the face guards on the riot helmets up, Sgt. Slaughter finally spits at them. Shawn says that boot camp may have ways of straightening guys like him out, but this is the World Wrestling Federation and he'll straighten him out. As soon as Shawn says this is the WWF, Vince says "It sure is," and the crowd suddenly cheers, causing Shawn to stop talking and say "I'm Shawn Michaels! You can't talk to me that way!"
Marc Mero drags Sable out of her dressing room before she can finished getting dressed for the ring.
Savio Vega tells Marc Mero that tonight is revenge for what Mero did to Miguel Perez last week.
Marc Mero beats Savio Vega with another low blow before the TKO after Sable distracts the referee, thanks to Vega trying to grab her by her hair. Michael Cole tries to interview Sable after the match, but Mero butts in and declares the interview over, telling Cole that if he wants to talk to a superstar, he should talk to him.
Before the next match, it is announced that The Patriot is out with a torn tricep, and a decision will be made over the weekend on who will take his place. Also, Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon accompany The British Bulldog to the ring along with Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, and Jim Ross notes the irony of Doug Furnas being in The Bulldog's corner on commentary, stating that Furnas is an American and from Commerce, Oklahoma while LaFon is Canadian and from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
During the next match, Michael Cole interviews Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon, asking why they are part of Team Canada for Survivor Series. LaFon says he is from Canada, while Furnas says that the American fans didn't care when they were in an auto accident five years ago and didn't write any letters to him, yet other fans around the world did. He implies that America can kiss his ass.
Vader beats The British Bulldog in a Dog Collar Match. After the match, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon. All of a sudden, a man in a white tanktop, black slacks and black sneakers jumps the barrier, gets in the ring and fights off the three of them with competent martial arts ability. The referee then turns around to see D-Generation X (Shawn, Triple H, Chyna, Rude) attacking Shamrock, then Triple H pedigrees Shamrock into the steel Halliburton briefcase to end the show.
Sunny is special guest ring announcer for the next match, and "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher guests on commentary.
Aguila beats Super Crazy ton continue to the semi-finals of the Light Heavyweight Championship Tournament. During the match, it is announced that WWF President Gorilla Monsoon is feeling better after his stay in the hospital.
During the weekend, Jim Ross interviewed Dustin (Goldust) and Terri Runnels (Marlena). Terri says it was very hard being with Brian Pillman, with the hardest part being away from her two daughters and Goldust, and says it's great to have a relationship with her husband and be part of a family again. Life throws out so much ugly things, and family is always the first thing she runs to. She mentions that Dakota is in pre-school, and while she isn't a big fan of it, she loves being with her mom and is glad to have her home, and Terri has to tell her she went on a long vacation as that is the only way she can explain to Dakota what happened to her. Dustin suddenly says "I can't do this anymore," and says that everything coming out of her mouth sickens him. For so long, he has lived for his father and for her, and when he was interviewed about his father Dusty Rhodes, it made him cry because Dusty made his life a miserable wreck. He then says that for the last seven years he has spent with Terri, he has been treated like a puppy dog and that she scorns him when he doesn't do anything to her liking. He is sick of Terri disciplining him and keeping him from being himself, and says Terri knows nothing about his life. He says he is tired of living for her and her father, and when Terri was away, he reached out and found something that allowed him to be himself because Terri hasn't done it, and that he watched her occasionally and wonders what she could have been doing. He says that he has now found someone who understands him and allows him to be himself. He then tells Terri he loved her for a long time, but no more. Terri breaks down, and asks why. Dustin says he's done all he can for her, and that he is starting his life over and doing it for himself, and refuses to live for her or Dusty anymore. He tells Terri to take his ring, their marriage and Marlena and shove it up her ass because he's had it with "[her] and [her] shit."

Ahmed Johnson shows up, wanting to take on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin right now, but instead of getting Austin, he gets Paul Bearer and Kane. Even Ahmed cannot bring Kane down, and he is next to fall victim to both a choke slam and Tombstone Piledriver from Kane. After a second Tombstone to Ahmed, Mankind shows up with a metal object and puts Paul Bearer in the Mandible Claw before hitting Kane with the metal object. As Mankind grabs a steel chair outside of the ring to protect Ahmed, Kane gets right back up, and referees have to keep Mankind and Kane apart.
After the break, it is announced that Ahmed Johnson is receiving medical attention. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin then shows up and says Ahmed Johnson was going to get his ass whipped, and that's what happened. He then says that Ahmed got off light, as he would have opened a real can of whoop-ass and fed it to him with a spoon. He then says that if Ahmed can still get in the ring, he'll take him on. If not, he'll face anybody else in the locker room. As he waits, he tells someone to get him a hot dog and a beer. He finally get a challenge in the form of The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, Rocky Maivia), and Kama Mustafa is the one to step up. Suddenly, Austin gives Kama a stunner while The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) attack the rest of The Nation. As referees try to get The Nation and The Legion of Doom apart, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin heads to the back with a smile on his face.
The introduction to the show replays to signal the start of War Zone.
Michael Cole interviews "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels in the ring. Instead of Shawn, everyone gets "Ravishing" Rick Rude, who tells all "the fat, out-of-shape Pennsylvania pissants" to button their lips and open their eyes as he introduces D-Generation X (Shawn, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, Rude). Shawn kisses both Triple H and Chyna on the lips, then then Triple H takes the microphone and says they've come out here week after week giving everyone a hard time, and shakes Michael Cole's hands for sticking it out that long before pushing him back, causing him to fall over Chyna. Cole leaves the ring, then Shawn takes the microphone, puts himself a pedestal, and then decides to take it one level higher and says he will always be known as the wrestling god, but Triple H stops him before he can finish that statement and Shawn makes fun of "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan. Triple H says Shawn that to be a god, you have to be as old as god. He also takes potshots at the Halloween Havoc cage match, calling it "Age in the Cage." Shawn says Triple H has made his point, then says he will show Bret "The Hit Man" Hart he is the man. He says showing his bare bottom is nothing compared to what he will do next week: walk out to the ring naked and take "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and show him "The World's Most Dangerous...Man." Triple H says D-Generation X calls the shots, and tells WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter to come out to the ring and make the match official. As Sgt. Slaughter asks Shawn if he wants the mask, Triple H and Shawn run to a pair of paper bags and pull out riot helmets and put them. He asks again, then they run to the bag again and place windshield wipers on the face masks of the riot helmets. Sgt. Slaughter says that they had ways of straightening guys like them out in boot camp, then gives Shawn the match, then adds a stipulation: it's taking place tonight, not next week. When Shawn and Triple H pull the face guards on the riot helmets up, Sgt. Slaughter finally spits at them. Shawn says that boot camp may have ways of straightening guys like him out, but this is the World Wrestling Federation and he'll straighten him out. As soon as Shawn says this is the WWF, Vince says "It sure is," and the crowd suddenly cheers, causing Shawn to stop talking and say "I'm Shawn Michaels! You can't talk to me that way!"
Marc Mero drags Sable out of her dressing room before she can finished getting dressed for the ring.
Savio Vega tells Marc Mero that tonight is revenge for what Mero did to Miguel Perez last week.
Marc Mero beats Savio Vega with another low blow before the TKO after Sable distracts the referee, thanks to Vega trying to grab her by her hair. Michael Cole tries to interview Sable after the match, but Mero butts in and declares the interview over, telling Cole that if he wants to talk to a superstar, he should talk to him.
Before the next match, it is announced that The Patriot is out with a torn tricep, and a decision will be made over the weekend on who will take his place. Also, Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon accompany The British Bulldog to the ring along with Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, and Jim Ross notes the irony of Doug Furnas being in The Bulldog's corner on commentary, stating that Furnas is an American and from Commerce, Oklahoma while LaFon is Canadian and from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
During the next match, Michael Cole interviews Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon, asking why they are part of Team Canada for Survivor Series. LaFon says he is from Canada, while Furnas says that the American fans didn't care when they were in an auto accident five years ago and didn't write any letters to him, yet other fans around the world did. He implies that America can kiss his ass.
Vader beats The British Bulldog in a Dog Collar Match. After the match, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon. Jim Cornette is sick and tired of wrestlers calling themselves wrestling icons, saying that "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is one of the single greatest talents inside of the ring but is an adolescent, obnoxious jerk who takes his tights and goes home if he doesn't get his way outside of it. He says that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart is also a great talent, but says that if he screwed by the WWF as often as he says he was, he'd have struck oil by now. He says "Macho Man" Randy Savage is a legend, but asks how many records Frank Sinatra sold last year. He then focuses on the steel cage match between "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at WCW Halloween Havoc, saying the match was only the greatest in three weeks since Badd Blood's Hell In A Cell Match and that it included a 46-year-old bald movie star wanna-be who looks like Uncle Creepy with a good build (Hogan) and a guy with an artificial hip who hasn't wrestled a full schedule in ten years (Piper), calling it a tribute to the massive egotism of both men and an indictment of WCW's promotional policies that this match even took place, much less be in the main event, when the card for Halloween Havoc was probably the best of what WCW was capable of having. He says that both Piper and Hogan were so winded after the ten-minute mark that the first three rows died of oxygen deprivation, which would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Cornette says he is tired of men claiming they're the icon, especially from guys who didn't know when to quit, stating that Piper was his idol when he was a teenager...which was twenty years ago. He calls Hogan in his best years "50% media creation" and that those years are long gone. He calls the match a slap in the face to every wrestler who takes pride in his profession, and no one man is bigger than the sport. He says that if there really is an icon, it would be a man of great ability in the ring, and professionalism and maturity outside of it. He calls for the "I make more money than you B.S." to be left outside with the hat check girls and calls for a focus on talent and attitude. He says The Undertaker, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin have never claimed to be icons, which makes them prime candidates to be just that - icons. He then tells Hogan that he is a household word, but so is garbage, and it stinks when it gets old, too.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for October 27, 1997
Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan show up to start the show. He says that Piper is gone and struggling for breath in the hospital, and that he is still the man, the icon and god. He says the nWo-ites are on an ultimate high, and challenges anyone in WCW, even if they're up in the rafters or out in the crowd. He then says nobody can beat his superhuman strengths, and that he and Bischoff will rule the New World Order and the wrestling world for eternity because they're just too sweet. Bischoff tells Hogan he should be sitting back and enjoying the moment, and that tomorrow night, Hogan will be taking over TNT with the premiere of Assault On Devil's Island. Hogan says he and Bischoff thrive on the hunt, and now that they're destroyed the wrestling world, Hogan will etch his name on Hollywood Boulevard for forever and a day with his new movie, as he and the nWo are here for life.
It is announced that "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko is not on commentary tonight (and has been replaced by Bobby "The Brain" Heenan), but he is in the building right now despite his attack at the hands of the nWo last night and that we will hear from him.
Rey Mysterio Jr. retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Dean Malenko after reversing the Texas Cloverleaf into a roll-up. It is announced that the encore of Halloween Havoc will air on pay-per-view tomorrow night. During the match, Raven and his men (Raven, Perry Saturn, Billy Kidman and the unknown man, who is finally identified as "Sick Boy") are seen walking down to the front row.
Mike Tenay makes another report on lucha libre and the Mexican luchadores. Fans rely on publications to stay informed, as television programming for lucha libre is limited. Most of the merchandise is masks, action figures and toy wrestling rings, and masks are like T-shirts when showing whom one's favorite luchador is. Family is also very important, as being the son of a popular luchador leads to great expectations as well as demands. Ray Mendoza, father of Villano IV and V, asks that his children finish school before they learn how to wrestle so they can put their heart into the craft. We also see footage of El Hijo Del Santo talking about his father's funeral and about how Mexico came together during that trying time, and we also learn that even in death, El Santo was buried with his mask around his face and his identity still concealed. Next week's report will be on the high-risk maneuvers and their importance and influence on lucha libre.
We see a performance from The Nitro Girls, who are all in Halloween costumes.
Glacier beats La Parka after sending La Parka face-first into his own chair.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page, who takes the interview to the ring. He says he knows "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan was the one who dressed up as Sting and whacked him in the ribs with the baseball bat, as Hogan knew he had the match won and that Savage gets "banged" every time they square off. He says Hogan is an icon, but he's not a god, and if Hogan wants some of him, then he accepts his challenge, saying it's time to whack Hogan with something after being whacked with the World title, crutches and even a baseball bat.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko in the ring. Zbyszko says he did what he set out to do, and that Scott Hall couldn't handle the pressure and took it out on him. He is sick of Hall, and pulls out "a first-class ticket to Larryland" out of his pocket in the form of a contract for a match, telling him that if he wants a match with him, he's got it, and that he will wrestle him anytime, anywhere. As he calls Hall out, Hall shows up with Syxx. Hall says everyone has seen what Zbyszko has to offer in the wrestling ring, and that it's not much. He says Zbyszko isn't even in the same calibur as The Wolfpack (Kevin Nash, Hall, Syxx). After giving a shout-out to Kevin Nash, who is still recuperating at home, Hall tells Zbyszko he could come to the ring right now and give him a ticket in coach "down here" and that Zbyszko couldn't even beat Eric Bischoff in a match. We see the footage of Hall, Syxx and Bischoff's attack on Zbyszko at Halloween Havoc, then Zbyszko continues to call out Hall, telling Hall to get in the ring as Hall mocks him. Hall then announces that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan will show up later on and take care of business, then he and Syxx prepare to leave. Zbyszko says if he wants the match, he's got it, and all he has to do is sign the contract. Zbyszko then tells Hall he will haunt him.
Lex Luger beats Stevie Ray with the Torture Rack.
Raven, Billy Kidman, Stevie Richards and Perry Saturn are seen in the front row.
We get another message from Raven. "We all need a haven, a sanctuary, a place to hide, a place to escape. A place to dream and hope. A place where the darkness won't be so frightening. So it is written. So it shall come to pass. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. He says that if people thought they missed him, imagine sitting at home watching "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Curt Hennig parading around in his robe. He came close last night, but tonight is another night, and if he sees Hennig, Hennig is a dead man. He also predicts that Hogan will take the Diamond Cutter, then announces he will have the privilege of walking the aisle against "Macho Man" Randy Savage. He tells Savage to stay out of his life, and he has crossed the line and they both know each other well. Tonight, he will end Savage's reign with Slim Jim in one night and give Miss Elizabeth a ride on Space Mountain in the next.
BBefore the next match, Raven gets in the ring with Stevie Richards, Billy Kidman, Perry Saturn and Sick Boy. Stevie Richards announces that it is a well-documented fact that Raven refuses to sign a contract with WCW, and the only way he will wrestle is if referee Nick Patrick makes the match a no-disqualification match. Raven takes the microphone, then says there is no reason for him and Scotty Riggs to fight as Riggs hasn't won a match in six months. He says there was once the potential for a great athlete, but there is now demons and he can feel his pain. He asks Riggs to come with him, and he'll set him free. Riggs refuses, but Raven gives him one more chance. Riggs tells him to stick it, and Raven tells him he's made his choice.
Raven vs. Scotty Riggs ends in injury. During the match, Raven sends eye-first into a steel chair folded into the seated position eye-first. When Billy Kidman confronts Raven, Raven tosses him out of the ring and heads back to his seat, and it is mentioned on commentary that there is potential that Scotty Riggs might not wrestle ever again.

Diamond Dallas Page beats "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan by disqualification after a man dressed as Sting rushes into the ring to attack Page only to eat a Diamond Cutter. Hogan then whips Page with his belt, then calls out the rest of the nWo to gang up on Page. The fake Sting is helped to the back, then the real Sting runs through the crowd and into the ring. After Sting lays Vincent out with the Scorpion Death Drop, Sting fights off the rest of the nWo.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.
Bill Goldberg vs. Disco Inferno for the WCW World Television Championship ends in a no-contest. Before the match can begin, Alex Wright attacks Goldberg, but Goldberg lays him out. Disco Inferno gets the Jackhammer, then Steve "Mongo" McMichael rushes into the ring only to get tackled. Security have to keep Mongo and Goldberg separated. Disco Inferno retains the WCW World Television Championship.
Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan show up again, and this time they are not in a good mood. Bischoff says Sting can't dance like the sign he has in his hands says, and that he can't get in the ring with Hogan, who has had it. Hogan says he is the man, and now that they and "Macho Man" Randy Savage, they don't have to worry about Diamond Dallas Page and Sting, saying Page isn't in his league and that he saw the fear in Sting's eyes. He says he'll flush Sting out of the ring and kick his butt over there. He then plugs the premiere of his brand-new movie Assault On Devil's Island tomorrow night, and if Sting wants to get his hands on him, all he has to do is show up in Las Vegas and he'll call his bluff and sign the contract for the match. Hogan says his new movie will body slam Hollywood, and if Sting wants a piece of him, he'll sign his name on the contract in blood, as when Sting finally goes down, it will be for life.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) and Ted DiBiase. Scott says it's been a tough year for them, and that it was tough to regain the tag titles. He thanks the officials at WCW, and thanks the WCW for their support. He also thanks the nWo and the nWo fans for coming up with "Wolfpack Rules" as it was fun to beat the nWo on their own rules. DiBiase says nobody is happier for the Steiners than him, especially when they put their trust him when the trust was questionable and that he was allowed to prove his trustworthiness, and says that they have overcome tremendous adversity as the nWo did everything they could to see this wouldn't happen - they lie, cheated, stole and avoided them like the plague - but The Steiner Brothers beat them at their own game. He then issues an open challenge to any who wants to take the tag titles from them, but when they get in the ring with The Steiners, they're in the dog pound as the bark is loud but the bite is even worse.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beats "Macho Man" Randy Savage by disqualification after Curt Hennig tries to interfere. As Flair fights Hennig, Savage takes the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, which Hennig has brought into the ring, and hits Flair from behind with it. Hennig and Savage attack Flair after the match.
It is announced that "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko is not on commentary tonight (and has been replaced by Bobby "The Brain" Heenan), but he is in the building right now despite his attack at the hands of the nWo last night and that we will hear from him.
Rey Mysterio Jr. retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Dean Malenko after reversing the Texas Cloverleaf into a roll-up. It is announced that the encore of Halloween Havoc will air on pay-per-view tomorrow night. During the match, Raven and his men (Raven, Perry Saturn, Billy Kidman and the unknown man, who is finally identified as "Sick Boy") are seen walking down to the front row.
Mike Tenay makes another report on lucha libre and the Mexican luchadores. Fans rely on publications to stay informed, as television programming for lucha libre is limited. Most of the merchandise is masks, action figures and toy wrestling rings, and masks are like T-shirts when showing whom one's favorite luchador is. Family is also very important, as being the son of a popular luchador leads to great expectations as well as demands. Ray Mendoza, father of Villano IV and V, asks that his children finish school before they learn how to wrestle so they can put their heart into the craft. We also see footage of El Hijo Del Santo talking about his father's funeral and about how Mexico came together during that trying time, and we also learn that even in death, El Santo was buried with his mask around his face and his identity still concealed. Next week's report will be on the high-risk maneuvers and their importance and influence on lucha libre.

He says Hogan is an icon, but he's not a god, and if Hogan wants some of him, then he accepts his challenge, saying it's time to whack Hogan with something after being whacked with the World title, crutches and even a baseball bat.

He is sick of Hall, and pulls out "a first-class ticket to Larryland" out of his pocket in the form of a contract for a match, telling him that if he wants a match with him, he's got it, and that he will wrestle him anytime, anywhere. As he calls Hall out, Hall shows up with Syxx. Hall says everyone has seen what Zbyszko has to offer in the wrestling ring, and that it's not much. He says Zbyszko isn't even in the same calibur as The Wolfpack (Kevin Nash, Hall, Syxx). After giving a shout-out to Kevin Nash, who is still recuperating at home, Hall tells Zbyszko he could come to the ring right now and give him a ticket in coach "down here" and that Zbyszko couldn't even beat Eric Bischoff in a match. We see the footage of Hall, Syxx and Bischoff's attack on Zbyszko at Halloween Havoc, then Zbyszko continues to call out Hall, telling Hall to get in the ring as Hall mocks him. Hall then announces that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan will show up later on and take care of business, then he and Syxx prepare to leave. Zbyszko says if he wants the match, he's got it, and all he has to do is sign the contract. Zbyszko then tells Hall he will haunt him.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for October 27, 1997
Vince McMahon interviews The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, Rocky Maivia) in the ring. Faarooq wants to know why there is racism in the World Wrestling Federation, and Vince apologizes on behalf of the World Wrestling Federation. Faarooq tells Vince he can't apologize just like that, as he can't apologize for 400 years of slavery and antagonizing and that The Nation handles apologies with fists. Vince says racism will not be allowed under any circumstances, but Faarooq tells Vince to ask Rocky Maivia is there is any racism in the WWF. Vince McMahon hands The Rock the microphone, and The Nation tells Vince to leave, which he does. Maivia tells The Hart Foundation (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) they have crossed a line they should have never crossed, because now this is a black and white thing. He goes on to say he has dealt with discrimination his entire life, and every time he was knocked down, he got right back up. He plans to show The Foundation what it's like to deal with discrimination all their lives, but when they get knocked down, they won't get back up. Faarooq says it started with a boat ride and that it will end with a Black fist to the side of their face, and challenges them to a match next week. It doesn't take long for The Foundation to show up, and Bret immediately accepts any challenge they want to make to them, but tells them he comes from a country where there is no racial prejudice and that his country loves people for what they are inside, as the United States is riddled with racial prejudice and that he doesn't have to start an argument with him to get him to agree. Bret then says that Faarooq's problem is that somebody is messing with him, and that D-Generation are the ones responsibility for what's going on between The Nation and The Foundation. D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, "Ravishing" Rick Rude) shows up on the TitanTron, and Shawn says Bret is blaming him for his problems, saying that Bret is racist to the core and vandalized The Nation's locker room last week, and that he accepts the fact that America was created on the back of a Black man. Shawn says that it was The Foundation all along, that Bret is in denail and worried about his image. Helmsley says The Foundation's first choice for uniforms were white sheets and hoods, that Bret was one of the Ku Klux Klan that recently appeared on The Jerry Spiringer Show, and that The Foundation used the N-word when they switched spray paint cans. This leads to The Nation fighting The Foundation, and referees and officials rush in to break up the brawl. During the fracas, Bret hurts his ankle.

Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley beats Goldust after Chyna hits Goldust with Marlena's purse as Marlena slaps Triple H, distracting the referee. Before the match, it is announced that Marlena will take about what it was like to spend 30 days with the late Brian Pillman on next week's show. After the match, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn tells Vince McMahon and Jim Ross to "suck it" before giving them the crotch chop.
Jim Cornette is sick and tired of wrestlers calling themselves wrestling icons, saying that "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is one of the single greatest talents inside of the ring but is an adolescent, obnoxious jerk who takes his tights and goes home if he doesn't get his way outside of it. He says that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart is also a great talent, but says that if he screwed by the WWF as often as he says he was, he'd have struck oil by now. He says "Macho Man" Randy Savage is a legend, but asks how many records Frank Sinatra sold last year. He then focuses on the steel cage match between "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper last night at WCW Halloween Havoc, saying the match was only the greatest in three weeks since Badd Blood's Hell In A Cell Match and that it included a 46-year-old bald movie star wanna-be who looks like Uncle Creepy with a good build (Hogan) and a guy with an artificial hip who hasn't wrestled a full schedule in ten years (Piper), calling it a tribute to the massive egotism of both men and an indictment of WCW's promotional policies that this match even took place, much less be in the main event, when the card for Halloween Havoc was probably the best of what WCW was capable of having. He says that both Piper and Hogan were so winded after the ten-minute mark that the first three rows died of oxygen deprivation, which would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Cornette says he is tired of men claiming they're the icon, especially from guys who didn't know when to quit, stating that Piper was his idol when he was a teenager...which was twenty years ago. He calls Hogan in his best years "50% media creation" and that those years are long gone. He calls the match a slap in the face to every wrestler who takes pride in his profession, and no one man is bigger than the sport. He says that if there really is an icon, it would be a man of great ability in the ring, and professionalism and maturity outside of it. He calls for the "I make more money than you B.S." to be left outside with the hat check girls and calls for a focus on talent and attitude. He says The Undertaker, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin have never claimed to be icons, which makes them prime candidates to be just that - icons. He then tells Hogan that he is a household word, but so is garbage, and it stinks when it gets old, too.
Earlier tonight, Oklahoma professional wrestling legends "Cowboy" Bill Watts, The Brisco Brothers (Gerry and Jack Brisco) and Danny Hodge were honored before the show.
Ahmed Johnson beats Owen Hart by disqualification after "Stone Cold" Steve Austin jumps out of the crowd and hits Ahmed with the Stone Cold Stunner before retreating back into the crowd. The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, Rocky Maivia) shows up during the match, and referees stop them from going after Austin. Owen Hart retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

Jim Ross interviews Mankind in the ring. After we see footage of Kane's attack on Dude Love last week, Mankind says Dude Love just wanted to make people smile and have fun, and make the world a happier place. He tells Paul Bearer that what he did was take an innocent kid and ruin him, and left him here to pick up the pieces. What disturbs him is that they parted ways without a single cross word and that he thought they had an unspoken truce. What Bearer did to Dude Love last week bothered him a great deal, and has led him to make his life a living hell. If Bearer thinks he can roll through everyone in the WWF, then he just ran into one hell of a roadblock. He tells him to remember the Boiler Room Brawl, and tells Bearer he'll take on Kane or die trying. He asks why Bearer would take Kane, who has spent 20 years in a would-be grave, and give him the opportunity to return so soon, as he will take him on, saying he'll find a way to beat Kane even if he is impervious to pain. WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter shows up and says he can understand why he wants to wrestle Kane, but looking at Mankind unstable mental condition and seeing that Kane is not a rational human being, he cannot and will not sanction or approve the match. Mankind says "please," but the match is denied despite Slaughter appreciating the request. Mankind says he had terrible things planned for Kane, but in order to do those things, something bad will have to happen to Slaughter. He drives the Mandible Claw into Sgt. Slaughter's throat, and he lets go as referees and official get in the ring to get him to release the hold.
The intro to the show is replayed to signal the start of War Zone.
"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock vs. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for the WWF Championship ends in a no-contest, and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart retains the WWF Championship. It is announced during the match that Survivor Series Flashback is airing tomorrow night at 8 PM Eastern on USA Network, which replays some of the greatest moments in Survivor Series, including Hulk Hogan vs. The Undertaker (which also gives Vince McMahon the opportunity to take verbal potshots at Hogan, all of them aimed at his movie career, his career in WCW and his recent steel cage match with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at Halloween Havoc). During the match, Bret knocks the referee out during the Sharpshooter, but Shamrock turns it into an Ankle Lock Submission. Bret taps, but the referee is down. As Shamrock gets the referee up, Bret hits Shamrock in the back with a steel chair. Bret locks in the Sharpshooter, but "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels rushes in and hits Bret with Sweet Chin Music before punching him in the face. Shamrock notices Shawn and snaps, and beats him down before referees and officials try to get him to cool off while "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna check on Shawn and Bret. The British Bulldog and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart run in to check on Bret, then Shawn and Bret go at it and have to be pulled apart. Chyna pushes down Pat Patterson, then Shawn and Bret briefly go at it again. "Ravishing" Rick Rude shows up to get Shawn to the back with the help of Triple H and Chyna while The Hart Foundation (Bret, Bulldog, Neidhart) stand tall in the ring.
Bret "The Hit Man" Hart says the rivalry between him and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is leading to Survivor Series, as every time he turns around, Shawn attacks him from behind and he's back to where he started from, complaining about him. He says that this will end at Survivor Series, as he knows that no matter what happens, he'll get his hands around his little scrawny neck and it will be the end of Michaels once and for all as his fellow Canadians will have his back and that Shawn won't be able to run for the border fast enough as he will be excellently executed.
Before the next match, Road Dog says that he and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn will climb one more rung up the ladder to the tag team titles.
Road Dogg and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn beat The New Blackjacks (Blackjack Windham and Blackjack Bradshaw) after Billy Gunn leaves the ring and hits Bradshaw in the back with a steel chair. During the match, Vince McMahon well-wishes Maureen Marella, the wife of WWF President Gorilla Monsoon, who is currently ill and in a Philadephia, Pennsylvania hospital. After the match, The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) show up and attack The New Blackjacks, and Road Dogg and Billy Gunn destroy The Blackjacks' hats. The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) show up carrying a boombox blaring out Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People," and go after The Godwinns, who retreat.
Before the break, the camera zooms in on a fan in a Hogan mask, and Vince says "Oh, my goodness! Another bad movie! Please, no!"
It is announced that Mankind will officially face Kane at Survivor Series, as per WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter.
Paul Bearer and Kane are interviewed in the ring by Jim Ross. Bearer tells Jim Ross to keep his nose out of his business or else he will embarrass him in front of his entire hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Shawn then gets up, turns around, pulls his pants down and moons the camera while Chyna and Helmsley hold up signs saying "D-Gen X" as Shawn jumps over the "X" sign and shows his bare bottom while Shawn and Hunter make butt jokes.

Jim Ross interviews Jeff Jarrett, who says that there is a fine line between confident and cocky, and that he is positive that he is confident. Jarrett says he was prepared for the big time in the WWF, but when he got there, Vince McMahon had a vision of what he wanted him to be. He succeeds in spite of Vince, but Vince placed limits on him and made him "Double J." He asked Vince to let him be himself, but when that didn't happen, he packed his back and walked out. Jarrett calls that one of the greatest nights of his life, as he told Vince he would no longer run his life. He signed a contract with World Championship Wrestling, but WCW gave him no opportunity as he wasn't one of Eric Bischoff's boys and didn't have enough stroke. He says he can a match between him and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels up against any other match anywhere and that it can still be better. and says that one's true in-ring ability does not count in WCW. He says that when you go to a WWF house show, there is action from bell to bell for two-and-a-half hours. In WCW, they don't have much excitement from bell-to-bell and while they have their moments, all their top wrestlers are in their 40s while only one of the top wrestlers in the WWF is in that age range, and that wrestling is a young man's game.
"Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn watch the next match from ringside wearing the top of The New Blackjacks' (Blackjack Windham and Blackjack Bradshaw) torn-up hats on their heads while wearing the brims around their necks. Jim Ross tries to interview them, but they aren't telling him a thing. After the bell rings to start the match, Billy Gunn steals The Legion of Doom's (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) shoulder pads and proceed to make fun of them at ringside.

Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley beats Goldust after Chyna hits Goldust with Marlena's purse as Marlena slaps Triple H, distracting the referee. Before the match, it is announced that Marlena will take about what it was like to spend 30 days with the late Brian Pillman on next week's show. After the match, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn tells Vince McMahon and Jim Ross to "suck it" before giving them the crotch chop.
Jim Cornette is sick and tired of wrestlers calling themselves wrestling icons, saying that "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is one of the single greatest talents inside of the ring but is an adolescent, obnoxious jerk who takes his tights and goes home if he doesn't get his way outside of it. He says that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart is also a great talent, but says that if he screwed by the WWF as often as he says he was, he'd have struck oil by now. He says "Macho Man" Randy Savage is a legend, but asks how many records Frank Sinatra sold last year. He then focuses on the steel cage match between "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper last night at WCW Halloween Havoc, saying the match was only the greatest in three weeks since Badd Blood's Hell In A Cell Match and that it included a 46-year-old bald movie star wanna-be who looks like Uncle Creepy with a good build (Hogan) and a guy with an artificial hip who hasn't wrestled a full schedule in ten years (Piper), calling it a tribute to the massive egotism of both men and an indictment of WCW's promotional policies that this match even took place, much less be in the main event, when the card for Halloween Havoc was probably the best of what WCW was capable of having. He says that both Piper and Hogan were so winded after the ten-minute mark that the first three rows died of oxygen deprivation, which would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Cornette says he is tired of men claiming they're the icon, especially from guys who didn't know when to quit, stating that Piper was his idol when he was a teenager...which was twenty years ago. He calls Hogan in his best years "50% media creation" and that those years are long gone. He calls the match a slap in the face to every wrestler who takes pride in his profession, and no one man is bigger than the sport. He says that if there really is an icon, it would be a man of great ability in the ring, and professionalism and maturity outside of it. He calls for the "I make more money than you B.S." to be left outside with the hat check girls and calls for a focus on talent and attitude. He says The Undertaker, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin have never claimed to be icons, which makes them prime candidates to be just that - icons. He then tells Hogan that he is a household word, but so is garbage, and it stinks when it gets old, too.

Owen Hart retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

Jim Ross interviews Mankind in the ring. After we see footage of Kane's attack on Dude Love last week, Mankind says Dude Love just wanted to make people smile and have fun, and make the world a happier place. He tells Paul Bearer that what he did was take an innocent kid and ruin him, and left him here to pick up the pieces. What disturbs him is that they parted ways without a single cross word and that he thought they had an unspoken truce. What Bearer did to Dude Love last week bothered him a great deal, and has led him to make his life a living hell. If Bearer thinks he can roll through everyone in the WWF, then he just ran into one hell of a roadblock. He tells him to remember the Boiler Room Brawl, and tells Bearer he'll take on Kane or die trying. He asks why Bearer would take Kane, who has spent 20 years in a would-be grave, and give him the opportunity to return so soon, as he will take him on, saying he'll find a way to beat Kane even if he is impervious to pain. WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter shows up and says he can understand why he wants to wrestle Kane, but looking at Mankind unstable mental condition and seeing that Kane is not a rational human being, he cannot and will not sanction or approve the match. Mankind says "please," but the match is denied despite Slaughter appreciating the request. Mankind says he had terrible things planned for Kane, but in order to do those things, something bad will have to happen to Slaughter. He drives the Mandible Claw into Sgt. Slaughter's throat, and he lets go as referees and official get in the ring to get him to release the hold.
The intro to the show is replayed to signal the start of War Zone.
"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock vs. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for the WWF Championship ends in a no-contest, and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart retains the WWF Championship. It is announced during the match that Survivor Series Flashback is airing tomorrow night at 8 PM Eastern on USA Network, which replays some of the greatest moments in Survivor Series, including Hulk Hogan vs. The Undertaker (which also gives Vince McMahon the opportunity to take verbal potshots at Hogan, all of them aimed at his movie career, his career in WCW and his recent steel cage match with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at Halloween Havoc). During the match, Bret knocks the referee out during the Sharpshooter, but Shamrock turns it into an Ankle Lock Submission. Bret taps, but the referee is down. As Shamrock gets the referee up, Bret hits Shamrock in the back with a steel chair. Bret locks in the Sharpshooter, but "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels rushes in and hits Bret with Sweet Chin Music before punching him in the face. Shamrock notices Shawn and snaps, and beats him down before referees and officials try to get him to cool off while "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna check on Shawn and Bret. The British Bulldog and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart run in to check on Bret, then Shawn and Bret go at it and have to be pulled apart. Chyna pushes down Pat Patterson, then Shawn and Bret briefly go at it again. "Ravishing" Rick Rude shows up to get Shawn to the back with the help of Triple H and Chyna while The Hart Foundation (Bret, Bulldog, Neidhart) stand tall in the ring.
Bret "The Hit Man" Hart says the rivalry between him and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is leading to Survivor Series, as every time he turns around, Shawn attacks him from behind and he's back to where he started from, complaining about him. He says that this will end at Survivor Series, as he knows that no matter what happens, he'll get his hands around his little scrawny neck and it will be the end of Michaels once and for all as his fellow Canadians will have his back and that Shawn won't be able to run for the border fast enough as he will be excellently executed.
Before the next match, Road Dog says that he and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn will climb one more rung up the ladder to the tag team titles.
Road Dogg and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn beat The New Blackjacks (Blackjack Windham and Blackjack Bradshaw) after Billy Gunn leaves the ring and hits Bradshaw in the back with a steel chair. During the match, Vince McMahon well-wishes Maureen Marella, the wife of WWF President Gorilla Monsoon, who is currently ill and in a Philadephia, Pennsylvania hospital. After the match, The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) show up and attack The New Blackjacks, and Road Dogg and Billy Gunn destroy The Blackjacks' hats. The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) show up carrying a boombox blaring out Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People," and go after The Godwinns, who retreat.
Before the break, the camera zooms in on a fan in a Hogan mask, and Vince says "Oh, my goodness! Another bad movie! Please, no!"
It is announced that Mankind will officially face Kane at Survivor Series, as per WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter.

Halloween Havoc 1997 - The Results
Mike Tenay guests on commentary for the next three matches.
Yuji Nagata beats Ultimo Dragon with the Fujiwara arm bar. Raven, Perry Saturn, Billy Kidman and the unknown groupie are all seen heading to the front row during the match. After the match, Nagata continues to work on the arm of Ultimo Dragon, and Sonny Onoo kicks his arm to injure it further.
Disco Inferno takes part in an interview on WCWWrestling.com when Jacqueline chases after him.
Chris Jericho beats Gedo with the Lion Tamer in an unadvertised special bonus match.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Debra McMichael backstage. Debra says she's the star and won't let Steve "Mongo" McMichael steal it from her. All of a sudden, Mongo shows up and tells her he brought her to WCW and if she want to break it off with him, then he wants the diamond ring and the credit cards back. Debra refuses to do such a thing, saying she's earned it all after having to deal with him and his family. Okerlund suggests that something like this would be better handled in a court of law than in a wrestling ring.
Rey Mysterio Jr. beats Eddie Guerrero to win the WCW Cruiserweight Championship and keep his mask, which was torn apart during the match by Guerrero. An angry Guerrero attacks and tosses Rey out of the ring after the match.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund plugs the WCW Hotline, saying there is a clique in World Championship Wrestling, and rumor states that they are adding one more member who can only be revealed through the Hotline.
Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan say they enjoy spending money, and Hogan feels bad that the people who came to see him do "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in are not going to get their due. Bischoff has a news flash for Piper, J.J> Dillon and "the corporate chumps at Turner:" for the past several weeks, WCW has not provided safe working conditions for Hogan, stating it is not only unsafe for Hogan but for the fans, and Bischoff is not allowing him to wrestle tonight unless WCW provides him and Hogan with a legal, binding agreement that Sting will not be allowed in the building at all. Otherwise, WCW can get another main event. Hogan calls himself the god of professional wrestling and says he created it, and says Bischoff isn't taking anything from anybody, and accuses WCW of short-changing the fans, stating that they are as low as Sting and that Sting doesn't want any part of him. Either way, they win, and J.J. Dillon will be ran out of WCW, not by them, but by the fans, if they don't get what they want.
Debra McMichael's mystery man is none other than Alex Wright.
Alex Wright beats Steve "Mongo" McMichael after Mongo is suddenly attacked by Bill Goldberg. He then rolls Alex Wright onto Mongo to allow him the win. Debra McMichael hands Goldberg Mongo's Super Bowl ring, and Goldberg says "It's mine, baby. It's mine." He then punches out Alex Wright, who at this point is revealed to be the middleman for the all this. Just like Mongo, he also gets a Jackhammer. Goldberg then says Mongo is his next victim, and he has him in the pocket.
"Macho Ma" Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth says that if the cage match happens, it doesn't affect them at all, as he's here only because Diamond Dallas Page is a marked man and he's going after him tonight. Savage tells Page to understand that he is in the nWo and that it means something, and after tonight, Page will be telling his grandchildren that he had greatness only in his grasp only for it to slip through his fingers because of him. Miss Elizabeth says Savage can't even come close to his level, and that it would be in his best interest to leave the ring. Savage goes on to say he doesn't even care about hurting himself as he hurts Page, and says that he created the monster and that he will destroy it.
Jacqueline beats Disco Inferno.
It is announced that a member of the WCW Executive Committee will make an announcement on the cage match between "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper later in the show.
Curt Hennig beats "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair by disqualification after Flair wraps the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship - which is introduced into the match by Hennig - placing it around his head while Hennig is in the tree of woe position and kicking the belt into Hennig's face. After referees try to restore order when Flair punches out referee Billy Silverman, Konnan and Vincent show up and get Hennig out of there. During the match, Flair takes his robe back from Hennig.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage holds an interview on wcwwrestling.com. He says it is the end of the road for Diamond Dallas Page tonight.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Executive Committee head J.J. Dillon, who is back and healthy. Dillon says that this has been a tough year, as Eric Bischoff has bullied a lot of people, but he's here because he has a job to do. He says that Bischoff was trying to get "Hollywood' Hulk Hogan out of the main event, and he announces that he will not stand for it and that the match will happen as advertised. Eric Bischoff shows up and confronts J.J. Dillon, saying Dillon has no stroke. Dillon pulls out a folded piece of paper, and hands it to Bischoff, saying that Bischoff has demanded concessions and that he has them on this piece of paper, official and duly notarized. Bischoff says you cannot agree to that, and that Dillon has no stroke. Dillon tells Bischoff that the different between the two of them is that when he says something, he is a man of his word, and the next time Bischoff will see Sting is in his nightmares and that that's Bischoff's problem, not his. As Dillon heads to the back, Bischoff tries to make one more demand, then says the document means nothing to him and that the nWo wants Nitro.
Scott Hall beats Lex Luger...almost. During the match, Hall gets in a shoving match with Zbyszko, and Zybyszko uses his momentum against him to back body drop him over the top rope. Eric Bischoff shows up and confronts Zbyszko only to be kicked off the apron, and Bischoff tries to distract him again, this time with success as Syxx gets in the ring and kicks Luger in the back of the head, allowing Hall to hit The Outsider's Edge. Zbyszko reluctantly makes the three-count when Hall pins Luger. After the match, Zbyszko wants to see the replay of the match, and Syxx's interference is shown. Zbyszko says the match is not over, and gives Scott Hall the count of ten to get back in the ring. This leads to another shoving match between Hall and Zbyszko, and Lex Luger beats Hall with the Torture Rack. Syxx rushes in and attacks Zbyszko only to be put in a sleeper hold, then Hall and Bischoff gang up on him. Bischoff then "pins" Zbyszko with Hall making the "count."
World War is coming to pay-per-view in November!
"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats Diamond Dallas Page in a Sudden Death Match. During the match, Savage attacks Page with a television camera after ripping it away from a cameraman, Miss Elizabeth buts a glass tray on the head of referee Mickey Jay before Kimberly shows up and drags her by the hear to the back as Nick Patrick replaces Mickey Jay as referee for the match. Also, a man dressed up as Sting shows up and smacks Page in the ribs with a baseball bat, keeping Page from getting up and assuring the win for Savage. After the match, Savage punches referee Nick Patrick in the face before attacking Page again, and Tony Schiavone and Dusty Rhodes mention on commentary that the fake Sting was wearing "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan's boots as Page is placed on a gurney only for Savage to attack him yet again while he is on it.
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper shows up with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship before the next match.
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper beats "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan in a steel cage match. During the match, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan is about to escape from the match when he runs into what looks like Sting at first, but is really a man in a Sting mask. This becomes een more apparent when more Stings show up throughout the match. Hogan calls for help in the form of "Macho Man" Randy Savage, but Savage misses his attack from the top of the cage and Piper takes him down before putting Hogan in the sleeper to get the win. After the match, two of the Stings try help Piper as he fights off Savage again, but the numbers game catches up with Piper as Hogan, Savage and Eric Bischoff - who shows up after the match - handcuff Piper to the cage and continue to assault him. A fan in Sting facepaint climbs over the cage, but he is subdued by one of the fake Stings and attacked by Hogan and Savage and security have to get the fan out of there as the show ends.

"Macho Ma" Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth says that if the cage match happens, it doesn't affect them at all, as he's here only because Diamond Dallas Page is a marked man and he's going after him tonight. Savage tells Page to understand that he is in the nWo and that it means something, and after tonight, Page will be telling his grandchildren that he had greatness only in his grasp only for it to slip through his fingers because of him. Miss Elizabeth says Savage can't even come close to his level, and that it would be in his best interest to leave the ring. Savage goes on to say he doesn't even care about hurting himself as he hurts Page, and says that he created the monster and that he will destroy it.

It is announced that a member of the WCW Executive Committee will make an announcement on the cage match between "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper later in the show.
Curt Hennig beats "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair by disqualification after Flair wraps the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship - which is introduced into the match by Hennig - placing it around his head while Hennig is in the tree of woe position and kicking the belt into Hennig's face. After referees try to restore order when Flair punches out referee Billy Silverman, Konnan and Vincent show up and get Hennig out of there. During the match, Flair takes his robe back from Hennig.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage holds an interview on wcwwrestling.com. He says it is the end of the road for Diamond Dallas Page tonight.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Executive Committee head J.J. Dillon, who is back and healthy. Dillon says that this has been a tough year, as Eric Bischoff has bullied a lot of people, but he's here because he has a job to do. He says that Bischoff was trying to get "Hollywood' Hulk Hogan out of the main event, and he announces that he will not stand for it and that the match will happen as advertised. Eric Bischoff shows up and confronts J.J. Dillon, saying Dillon has no stroke. Dillon pulls out a folded piece of paper, and hands it to Bischoff, saying that Bischoff has demanded concessions and that he has them on this piece of paper, official and duly notarized. Bischoff says you cannot agree to that, and that Dillon has no stroke. Dillon tells Bischoff that the different between the two of them is that when he says something, he is a man of his word, and the next time Bischoff will see Sting is in his nightmares and that that's Bischoff's problem, not his. As Dillon heads to the back, Bischoff tries to make one more demand, then says the document means nothing to him and that the nWo wants Nitro.
Scott Hall beats Lex Luger...almost. During the match, Hall gets in a shoving match with Zbyszko, and Zybyszko uses his momentum against him to back body drop him over the top rope. Eric Bischoff shows up and confronts Zbyszko only to be kicked off the apron, and Bischoff tries to distract him again, this time with success as Syxx gets in the ring and kicks Luger in the back of the head, allowing Hall to hit The Outsider's Edge. Zbyszko reluctantly makes the three-count when Hall pins Luger. After the match, Zbyszko wants to see the replay of the match, and Syxx's interference is shown. Zbyszko says the match is not over, and gives Scott Hall the count of ten to get back in the ring. This leads to another shoving match between Hall and Zbyszko, and Lex Luger beats Hall with the Torture Rack. Syxx rushes in and attacks Zbyszko only to be put in a sleeper hold, then Hall and Bischoff gang up on him. Bischoff then "pins" Zbyszko with Hall making the "count."

"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats Diamond Dallas Page in a Sudden Death Match. During the match, Savage attacks Page with a television camera after ripping it away from a cameraman, Miss Elizabeth buts a glass tray on the head of referee Mickey Jay before Kimberly shows up and drags her by the hear to the back as Nick Patrick replaces Mickey Jay as referee for the match. Also, a man dressed up as Sting shows up and smacks Page in the ribs with a baseball bat, keeping Page from getting up and assuring the win for Savage. After the match, Savage punches referee Nick Patrick in the face before attacking Page again, and Tony Schiavone and Dusty Rhodes mention on commentary that the fake Sting was wearing "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan's boots as Page is placed on a gurney only for Savage to attack him yet again while he is on it.
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper shows up with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship before the next match.
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper beats "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan in a steel cage match. During the match, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan is about to escape from the match when he runs into what looks like Sting at first, but is really a man in a Sting mask. This becomes een more apparent when more Stings show up throughout the match. Hogan calls for help in the form of "Macho Man" Randy Savage, but Savage misses his attack from the top of the cage and Piper takes him down before putting Hogan in the sleeper to get the win. After the match, two of the Stings try help Piper as he fights off Savage again, but the numbers game catches up with Piper as Hogan, Savage and Eric Bischoff - who shows up after the match - handcuff Piper to the cage and continue to assault him. A fan in Sting facepaint climbs over the cage, but he is subdued by one of the fake Stings and attacked by Hogan and Savage and security have to get the fan out of there as the show ends.
