WCW Commissioner Terry Funk comes out of a limousine outside of the arena to start the show, and alongside him is "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson.
Shane Douglas guests on commentary for the next match.
David Flair and Crowbar retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Revolution (Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko) and The Filthy Animals (Konnan and Kidman) after Saturn splashes Rey Mysterio Jr. through a table near the stage, which leads to Rey leaving on a stretcher.
It is announced that Buff Bagwell and Diamond Dallas Page will meet later tonight, and if they attack each other in the first five minute s, there will be a $50,000 fine levied by WCW Commissioner Terry Funk.
The New World Order (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner) are in the building. Nash gets a birthday gift in the form of a couple of women. Meanwhile, WCW Commissioner Terry Funk, "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson are seen watching this on a monitor somewhere backstage, and they are seen leaving the room.
Rey Mysterio Jr. is convulsing as he is being placed in an ambulance outside of the arena. Meanwhile, Scott Steiner is seen spending some time with a group of women, promising to make love to every one of them before the end of the night.
Oklahoma show up with a bottle of barbecue sauce in one hand and a broom in the other. He says he is tried of all the "hootchies" around here who cannot realize that their place is in the kitchen, barefoot, pregnant and cleaning the house, and if they aren't doing any of those things, they are useless. He says that Ralph Kramden would not have allowed Alice to get in a wrestling ring, and says "that silicone freak" Madusa needs to learn her role, which is handing her husband his slippers and his beer, and if she can't, then she is no good. He plans to give Madusa a taste of what will happen to her at Souled Out when he takes the Cruiserweight title from "her cellulite-riddled waist." He then issues an open challenge to any woman who thinks they can beat her. That challenge is answered by Asya, and as Asya beats Oklahoma up, Madusa shows up while Oklahoma smacks the bottle of barbecue into the side of Asya's head. Madusa sees this and gets in the ring, but Oklahoma stomps her before hitting her with the broom. He then takes the WCW Cruiserweight Championship off her waist and raises it up into the air..
WCW Commissioner Terry Funk, "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson are seen heading towards the ring. Meanwhile, the rest of the New World Order (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett) are looking for Scott Steiner.
WCW Commissioner Terry Funk, "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson show up. He tells Kevin Nash that he will have to do more than powerbomb him through the stage to get the best of him, and if it war he wants, it is war he will get. He says that he picked Orndorff, Zbyszko and Anderson off the unemployment, and the four of them are "The Old Age Outlaws." However, they are still young enough to kick The New World Order's (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner) ass. Anderson says that if adversity doesn't kill you, it makes your stronger. The nWo nearly killed him and he doesn't feel stronger, but he is still ready to look for the nWo and attack them from the shadows to get some payback. Zbyszko says the nWo will learn and realize that they are not looking at four individuals, but at tradition, and it has risen up against them. If it were not for them, the nWo would not be in the wrestling business. The world has gone through its millennium madness, but it is the same old century, and there are no powers that be or an nWo that will make it to the 21st century unless it is over their dead bodies, as legends never die. Orndorff says the last three to four weeks have seen young wrestlers from the Power Plant sit in the front row, and they have worked to keep the tradition that they have started alive. Some people may think The Old Age Outlaws may be past their prime, but he can stay up with the rest of them and he can still fight with the best of them, and The Old Age Outlaws have kicked every ass they've had to kick to get to where they are now. He says that if The Old Age Outlaws don't have another bite in them, they are wrong, as they are going to take a chunk out of the nWo's ass. The nWo shows up. Kevin Nash says it is ironic that The Old Age Outlaws have gotten their "early bird dinner" in, and says he was going to wait until Souled Out, but now Funk has to learn the hard way. He says he should be buying a couple of new suits so he can look good as WCW Commissioner next week compared to Terry Funk, then tells Funk what he has to say. Funk asks if that is all Nash has to say, because if he does not, he will tell him what his role in WCW is. He makes each and every match, and he is making all the match tonight. Tonight, Jeff Jarrett gets a couple of stipulations, and tells him he will be in three matches tonight. The first is a wrestling match, the second is a Bunkhouse Brawl, and the third match will be a Cage Match. All of the matches will be against one of Funk's close, personal friends. Jarrett says that is fine, but he wants to know who the opponents are, so he can kick their asses just like the Tennessee Titans did to the Buffalo Bills last Sunday. If one of them is Zbyszko, he will have to apologize for stretching him like he has never been stretched before. Funk says he will not be up against any of the Old Age Outlaws, but it will be against three of his close, personal friends. Jarrett hopes they don't die before they get to the ring. Funk says he does not have to worry about that, as he is going to be in the ring . Nash asks if Anderson will be special guest referee. Funk says he won't, but he has a referee in mind for the matches, and that referee is "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit. Bret says he can't do that, but Funk says he can do anything he wants, and puts Bret in a match against Nash with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Bret says they won't fight each other, and tells Funk to get a new idea. Funk tells them that if they take it easy on each other, he will see that they are suspended for a year from WCW without pay and that Bret will be stripped of the title. Nash and Bret say that they will take the year off, saying they don't need the money. Funk reminds him he will strip him of the World title. Scott Steiner says something, but as soon as he calls Funk a "son of a bitch," the rest of his statement is censored with a censor bleep. Funk tells Scott Steiner he is clear to wrestle and does not want to see him get crippled in the ring, but he is going to do something his mother should have done a long time ago and wash his mouth out with soap.
WCW Commissioner Terry Funk is backstage with "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. After telling Anderson to go look for a certain person, he says this will be a night that The New World Order (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner) will never forget.
Buff Bagwell and Diamond Dallas Page are seen approaching the ring.
"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is seen looking for somebody outside of the building.
Kimberly is seen entering the arena.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund brings out Diamond Dallas Page and Buff Bagwell. DDP asks Okerlund to get out of the ring. He does. DDP asked if he pissed Buff off, and Buff says he pushes a few buttons. DDP says he's just getting started, and Buff asks how Kimberly is. Page says "I dunno, why don't you tell us?" Buff says that they're just friends and that he is a great listener. He then says he sees a sparkle in his eyes, and says he doesn't know if it is DDP that got the shortcomings. Page asks about Buff hitting on Kimberly and buying her drinks all night long at the bar in Little Rock, Arkansas, but Buff insists they're just friends. He says that he called him while he was in Los Angeles, California and told him that he and Kimberly were having problems and that he missed her. He then says that instead of listening to him, he tried to get Kimberly in his bed. Buff asks what would happen if DDP had an affair with one of the boys' wife, and says the sexual chemistry could be cut with a knife. Buff says that if that is what DDP Is saying, he would have done the same thing. DDP says he wouldn't, and Buff says he wouldn't, either. DDP asks why he should trust Buff, but Buff asks why he should not trust him. If DDP wants a lie detector test, he will do it. Buff tells DDP he overreacted, then Buff asks the crowd if he is a liar. DDP says the problem he has is the boys in the back mentioning how Buff keeps talking about how sexy Kimberly's birthmark is. He says it is not the one everyone can see, but the one only he can see. Buff says he's seen it, and so have all the boys in the back. DDP punches Buff in the face - after the five minutes come to an end as they talk about the birthmark - then notices Kimberly watching on a monitor backstage on the video screen. Buff Bagwell then pulls out a baton and whacks DDP with it, saying he did not do anything.
Kevin Nash is seen talking backstage with Bret "The Hit Man" Hart while Jeff Jarrett paces back and forth. Jarrett tells Bret and Nash to work things out while he has his matches. Bret tells Nash they will have their match, and after an argument, Nash says he will be a four-time World champion.
"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson finds the person that he is looking for.
Jeff Jarrett brings out a wheelbarrow full of weapons before the next match. The Old Age Outlaws ("The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson) then show up, and Jarrett's first opponent is revealed to be none other than George "The Animal" Steele, who brings his own weapons to the ring.
George "The Animal" Steele beats Jeff Jarrett in a Bunkhouse Brawl Match after the turnbuckle eating Steele is hit with a guitar by Jeff Jarrett only for Jarrett to fall victim to a spinebuster by "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Special guest referee "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit then places Steele on top of Jarrett and makes a fast count to give Steele the win.
Scott Steiner asks which of the women nearby loves champagne before making love to some more "freaks."
Jeff Jarrett tells Kevin Nash to throw Bret "The Hit Man" Hart out of The New World Order. Nash says he will do it when he takes the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Jarrett tells him not to go through with the match, since he and Bret will be giving WCW Commissioner Terry Funk what he wants, but Nash says that Bret is the one running his mouth.
WCW Commissioner Terry Funk tells "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson to head to the limousine and get the next guy.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Stevie Ray. Stevie Ray grabs the microphone and says everyone wants to know what is going on with him. He tells everyone to listen up, and says he does not care about the fans not liking him. Seven years ago, he and Booker T came to WCW, and the people backstage never wanted them there and did everything they could to keep them down. All that changed when Booker T got a little success out on his own, saying the Television title is all they wanted him to have. He asks how Booker T is going to turn his back on him and the neighborhood, and says that just because he comes out with fine suits and shoes does not mean he is not from the streets anymore. At Souled Out, he wants something. Before he can say what that something is, Booker T and Midnight show up. Booker T tells Stevie Ray he will not fight him after all they have been through, but Stevie Ray says he wants the match. Booker T then tells Stevie Ray that he made his decision last week when he whacked him and Midnight, and says he will never wrestle him. Booker T turns around to leave, but Stevie Rayturns him around and slaps him. Booker T then tells Stevie Ray that if he wants a fight at Souled Out, he's got it, but "this shit won't be fixed."
Jeff Jarrett talks to Bret "The Hit Man" Hart backstage, while "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson finds the second man.
The Old Age Outlaws ("The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson) show up. Funk says that when you talk about fire, you talk about the next legend, and he guarantees that he can light up the ass of any nWo punk. He says that this person is a former WWF Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion, and that person is Tito Santana, whom he brings out. When Jeff Jarrett shows up, he pushes Buffalo Bills player Ted Washington at the front row, then pushes Orndorff into a nearby steel chair.
Tito Santana beats Jeff Jarrett. During the match, Jarrett gets physical with special guest referee "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit, and Ted Wasshington of the Buffalo Bills climbs over the guardrail and gets on the apron, distracting Jarrett, as does "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko. "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff gets in the ring and hits Jarrett with a piledriver, then Tito Santana pins Jarrett with a fast count for the win.
Thunder is now on Wednesdays on 9:05 PM Eastern, 8:05 PM Central on TBS.
Tank Abbott shows up. He says it is only six days before he kicks Jerry Flynn's ass and he finds out what a Tank beating is all about. Right now, he wants to talk about Head of WCW Security Doug Delinger, saying he can fine him all the money he wants, but he cannot take his pride or integrity. He gives Dellinger the chance of a lifetime to take a shot at him, and tells him to "waddle [his] fat ass out here" and take a poke at him. Dellinger shows up and gets in the ring, and Abbott dares him to punch him. Dellinger punches him, and Abott gets on top of him just in time for security and local law enforcement to move quickly into place. Abbott is immediately handcuffed, then Jerry Flynn runs into the ring and takes Abbott out with a kick to the side of the head.
"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson finds the third man: "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka.
Bret "The Hit Man" Hart and Kevin Nash are seen getting ready for their match. We then see special guest referee "The Canadian Crippler" down on the floor backstage as if he has just been attacked.
Before the next match, Jeff Jarrett says he is not a Buffalo Bill or a "damn loser." He is from Tennessee, and he is a winner, just like the Tennessee Titans, and just like Chuck Wycheck, he is the chosen one. He tells "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka to get in the ring, and admits that he was the one to take out "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit before the match.
"Superfly" Jimmy Snuka beats Jeff Jarrett in a Steel Cage Match. During the match, "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit shows up to referee the match, but Jarrett kicks him off the steel steps leading into the ring. When Jarrett re-focuses on Snuka, Benoit grabs Jarrett and hits him with some knife edge chops before throwing Jarrett into the steel cage. Jarrett crotches Benoit on the top rope, then leaves the cage, grabs his guitar, tosses it in to the ring a nd tries to use it as a weapon only for "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff to stop him. Snuka then goes for the Superfly Splash from the top of the cage, and Benoit climbs up the cage with him to hit a diving headbutt from the top of the cage to give Snuka the win.
Scott Steiner is still making love to the women.
It is announced that fans can log on to WCW.com to vote for the 14 best matches of all-time, with the winning matches making the cut for a video of the fans' favorite WCW matches to be released later this year.
"The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff tie Scott Steiner up so that WCW Commissioner Terry Funk can wash Scott Steiner's mouth out with soap.
Kevin Nash vs. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship ends in a no-contest. During the match, it is announced that Jeff Jarrett has suffered a concussion after his match with "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka. Later on in the match, Kevin Nash sends a steel chair into the ring, then "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson hits Nash with a metal pipe and tells referee Charles Robinson to get out of the ring. As Anderson screams at Bret, Sid Vicious sneaks into the ring from behind and kicks the steel chair into Bret's head. The steel cage above the ring comes down, with Bret, Sid and Anderson in the ring. Sid choke slams Bret, then hits him with a powerbomb. Sid pins Bret, and Anderson makes the "three count." WCW Commissioner Terry Funk then shows up with a flaming branding iron, and brands Nash in the stomach with it to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for January 10, 2000
RAW
The WWF locker room surrounds the ringside area - much to the confusion of Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler - then The Rock shows up. WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) are seen watching the broadcast from backstage, apparently having no idea what is going on, either. He explains that everyone surrounding him has asked him to be their spokesperson, and as unaccustomed to public speaking as he is, he has agreed. He calls out Triple H and Stephanie, and after a few minutes, they show up. Stephanie says she does not know what everyone is up to, but she is confident they can work something out. The Rock tells Stephanie to know her role and shut her mouth, then brings up the firing of Mick Foley aka Mankind. He says that Mick Foley is in the parking lot outside, and also mentions that the entire locker room is ready to walk out and join the "World Rock Federation" if they do not meet their demands. He demands that Mick Foley be reinstated immediately. Triple H tells The Rock that if he wants Mick Foley back, he's got it, but it was already in the works and that he and Stephanie were going to reinstate him, anyway. The Rock then mentions the matches he has been in lately, and says there is no way any matches like the Pink Slip On A Pole Match and the Handicap You're Fired Match will ever happen again. Stephanie says that seems fair, then The Rock acknowledges the "slut" chants directed towards Stephanie. Triple H says, "I thought they were talking to you, Rock." The Rock then demands that if anyone is fired, it will be for just cause only. Triple H says that this is fair, too, and as he says that he and Stephanie are all about fairness, Mankind's entrance plays, but Triple H lies in wait for him. Instead of coming out through the stage, however, Mankind shows up through the crowd. He acknowledges "the dozens of Mankind fans" who sent out their cards and letters, and thanks The Rock for not only the kind words about him in his new work, but sticking his neck out on the line in support of him. As far as the McMahon-Helmsley Era, he condemns them for ridiculing and mocking him and his family before proposing some suggestions of his own for Royal Rumble. He wants a match against Triple H at the event for the WWF Championship, with stipulations to be named at a later date. He tells Triple H to make up his mind and quickly, as over 50 men are about to walk out. Triple H tells Mankind he has his match with him at Royal Rumble, but before Mankind say more, The Rock takes the microphone. He says he will take it up himself to include himself in another match at Royal Rumble. As The People's Champion, he will throw his name into the hat for the 30-man Royal Rumble Match, and says he will take 29 other jabronis over the top rope to face Triple H or Mankind, whoever is champion. Mankind tells The Rock not to waste all his time on Royal Rumble, as they have 20,000 fans right now and they might as well come up with "a damn good show." Mankind proposes a match between "Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn to see who the tougher New Age Outlaw is, and if it is not booked, everyone will walk. Backstage, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn are not happy. He also has another idea: since Triple H told X-Pac he is just as good as Triple H last week on SmackDown, he also proposes a match between Triple H and X-Pac. X-Pac doesn't seem to be very happy, either. Triple H and Stephanie are about to leave, but The Rock tells them they are not done. He proposes one more match, should D-Generation X survive: DX vs. The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw). Triple H accepts the match, but The Rock says he is still not done. He also says that The Acoltyes will not be alone, as they will be teaming up him and Mankind.
During the break, Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley are confronted by the rest of D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) for caving to The Rock and Mankind's demands.
"Road Dogg" Jesse James beats "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn after reversing the Fameasser into a pump handle slam. During the match, it is reported that there is a sign-up sheet backstage where the WWF locker room have signed on to to book their own matches. After the match, Billy Gunn refuses to shake Road Dogg's hand.
Mankind finds the fake Mankind and ties him up with another rope while daring him to be funny again.
Terri Runnels signs The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) up for a match.
Before the next match, Kurt Angle says he and the St. Louis Rams have a lot in common. They are both full of intensity, integirty and intelligence, but unlike the Rams, he beats people with winning records. He then questions why people would boo an Olympic champion,a nd cheer Rams quarterback Kurt Warner, "a former arena football player who happens to be on a lucky streak."
The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat Kurt Angle and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman in their first match together since Matt's injry when Jeff hits Blackman from behind with a drop kick from the top rope as Blackman has a weapon in his hand, sending Blackman into a Twist f Fate by Matt.
Mankind tortures the fake Mankind into laughing with him.
Edge tells Christian that they have gotten the match that they wanted tonight.
Chris Jericho tells Chyna that she taught him a lesson last week, and that if they team up together, there is nobody they can beat. He asks Chyna to sign them up for a match. He also tries to take the Intercontinental title, but Chyna does not let him.
Before the next match, it is announced that Edge is engaged to Val Venis' sister, Alannah. Val Venis announces this, and tells Edge that he may have what it takes to win her hand in marriage, but he does not have half of what it takes to beat him for the WWF European Championship. When Edge and Christian show up, the orange lights and graphic show up around the arena again.
Val Venis retains the WWF European Championship against Edge. After the match, both men shake hands, then Edge tells Val Venis that he may have been the best man tonight, but he will not be the best man at his sister's wedding, because Christian will be. Both men continue to show respect.
X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn are seen arguing with one another in the locker room.

Mankind is considering untying the fake Mankind, and says that if he has not learned his lesson, he will turn him around and make him watch an hour of Al Snow matches.
WWF New York is now open for a sneak preview of the grand opening later this month in Times Square in New York City.
Mankind unties the fake mankind, but tells him not to mistake his kindness for weakness or it will be the last mistake he ever makes. He also tells him to stay in the room until he comes back.
The Godfather and D'Lo Brown vs. The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) ends in a double count-out after The Dudley Boyz try to steal The Godfather's hos.
Mankind finds Tori backstage, admits that he likes her breasts and says he has a list of about seventeen things he would like to do them. After inviting her to his dressing room, he slaps her on the buttocks before telling her to bring a friend as there is "plenty of Mankind to go around."
Test and Big Show quickly The Big Boss Man and Prince Albert after Big Boss Man inadvertently nails Albert in the back of the head with his nightstick after being roundhouse kicked by Big Show. After the match, Albert pushes Big Boss Man to the mat, then Big Show choke slams both men.
D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) slowly makes their way to the ring, one member at a time, as they cannot seem to trust Triple H. We also see footage from last week of The Rock signing copies of his new book The Rock Says... at Tower Records in New York City.
D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat The Acolytes (Faarooq and Brashaw), The Rock and Mankind. During the match, the rest of DX turns on Triple H and head to the back, and The Rock and The Acolytes follow them there, brawling with them on their way tot he back and leaving Mankind and Triple H alone in the ring. WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley gets on the apron and almost falls victim to the Mandible Claw, but Triple H gets Mankind off of her before he can do it. Triple H clocks Mankind with the ring bell before hitting him with a Pedigree into the commentary table. Triple H then hits Mankind with another Pedigree in the middle of the ring to win the match. After the match, Triple H knocks out referee Tim White before hammering a now-bleeding Mankind with a couple of right hands. Mankind fights back and rips his mask off, hitting Triple H with a few rights of his own. Guilty As Charged 2000 - The Results
Joey Styles and Cyrus welcome everyone to tonight's show. Cyrus brings greetings from the office, and tells Styles to be on his best behavior as his headset allows him to give the office the blow by blow. He says it has been suggested that besides being the best color commentator in wrestling that he also possesses a massive intellect, and he sometimes speaks at a leavel far beyond the capacity of the "garden variety troglodytes." He has prepared, at great expense, a personal greeting in "the local vernacular." The crowd tells him "You suck dick." Cyrus reads the message, which is "Howdy, how y'all doin'?", declares himself "the voice of ECW." Suddenly, "The Quintessential Studmuffin" Joel Gertner shows up and tells him this is not Nashville, Tennessee or the office, but he knows he wants and what the office wants and that this is pay-per-view. He gets in the ring, and says he will do the same thing he always does on pay-per-view, which is introduce himself in a sexually suggestive way. Styles asks Gertner if he interrupted just for that, Gertner believes he has done all he needs to do, then remembers to do one more thing: tell Cyrus "up yours."
"The Enforcer" C.W. Anderson beats Mikey Whipwreck after Lou E. Dangerously hits Mikey with his cellphone as referee John Finegan is dealing with "Beautiful" Billy Wiles.
Simon Diamond, Danny Doring and Roadkill beat Nova, Kid Kash and Jazz. During the match, Big Dick Hertz shows up and drags Simon Diamond out of a pinfall attempt after Jazz hits him with The Jazz Stinger. Kid Kash and Jazz take the brawl with Simon Diamond and Big Dick to the back, leaving Nova to fight Danny Doring and Roadkill by himself. Later on in the match, Chris Chetti gets on the apron in Nova's corner despite not being medically cleared, and Chetti tags himself in. Referee Mike Kehner hits everyone in the match with a top rope cross body outside of the ring, then Elektra gets in the ring and slaps Chetti, who then hits her with a scoop slam. Chetti tries to hit Doring with The Amityville Horror, but his back gives out and Roadkill wins it with a top rope splash. After the match, The Dupp Brothers (Bo, Jack and Puck Dupp) get in the ring and attack Chetti and Nova. Nova eventually chases them off with a steel chair as Doring also holds a steel chair in his hands. Doring checks on Roadkill as Nova checks on Chris Chetti.
"Judge" Jeff Jones asks Spike Dudley how his girlfriend is doing, then brags about Mike Awesome beating the crap out of her. He hopes Spike is angry, and says he knows how they felt when he spoiled Mike Awesome's moment of glory when he became ECW World Heavyweight Champion again. Tonight, Spike gets his shot at greatness against Mike Awesome, who he says will kill Spike Dudley. Mike brags about about knocking Spike's girlfriend's teeth down her throat, and says he spent the last twelve of his years busting his ass to become EW World Heavyweight Champion. If Spike wants to be world champ, he'll have to take the title away from him.
We see what happened to Spike Dudley's girlfriend's teeth, and Spike says that if he has a problem, he'll have to deal with him. Paul Heyman is heard in the background, telling Spike to start the promo over, but Spike grabs a garbage can and throws it around, saying he is not acting and that he will hurt Mike Awesome.
Before the next match, Steve Corino tells the crowd that they are being disrespectful to someone who is trying to put together the greast Dream Partner Match of all time. He says there are a million guys that he could have picked, but he has picked the best choice: Super Crazy, who is supposed to be Tajiri's opponent. Corino says that honesty is what put ECW on the map and what Paul Heyman preaches as Tajiri and Super Crazy are about to go at it with each other, and so he decided to put both men together. Little Guido and Big Sal E. Graziano show up, and Little Guido confronts Corino for not picking him. Corino says he picks what the match is, and says he is quite a quandary not having a partner tonight. He says that he is the one who calls the shot around here. Suddenly, Paul Heyman shows up, and says he is the one who calls the shots around here, not Corino, and if Corino wants to mess with everyone's plans by putting Tajiri and Super Crazy together, then hat is a heck of a good idea, but Little Guido has a partner, which he will pick since Corino wants to pick Tajiri's. Little Guido's partner is revealed to be none other than Jerry Lynn.
Tajiri and Super Crazy beat Little Guido and Jerry Lynn after Little Guido turns on Jerry Lynn and hits the Maritano, Super Crazy and Tajiri argue over who pins Lynn and Tajiri kicks Super Crazy in the head with a Buzzsaw Kick. After the match, Steve Corino says that even without his help, Tajiri knows the master plan. He gives Jerry Lynn credit for fighting every night and not being a coward or a fat, old, beat-up washed-up piece of garbage like "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. He says if Dusty was here, he would kick his ass like he did last time. Dusty shows up from out of the crowd and hits Cornio, Tommy Rich, Tajiri and Jack Victory with bionic elbows. Rhino then gets in the ring and lays out Dusty, and the numbers game quickly catches up to him. Dusty ends up getting saved by the ECW locker room as Corino runs off with Dusty's hat. The locker room then helps Dusty up, and Dusty is eventually able to get out of the ring under his own power.
New Jack says that he has been through a lot of situations in ECW. The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley, Mustafa Saed and even Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) have never pissed him off as much as he is pissed off now. When he was thirteen years old, a former friend of his wanted to join a rival gang, and he stuck a knife in his ass. He did not even take the knife out after a week, and when he finally took it out a week later, he tore him up from one side of south central Los Angeles to the other. All that is left of Da Baldies is "Vicious" Vic Grimes, Angel, and Tony DeVito. He is getting them one at a time. He feels bad for Angel, because he is stupid. He will do anything imaginable to him, for tonight, it will be a bloodbath, and he is so mad that when he sees him in the ring, Angel might as well kiss his family goodbye because he is going to tear him up.

Every night, people think tonight is the night he is going to lose the TV title and that Sabu has the best chances, but he is Rob Van Dam, the longest-reigning champion in the business as well as everyone's favorite wrestler, the most athletically gifted in the business and the whole fuckin' show.

Guilty As Charged is live this Sunday on pay-per-view!
We see a video package narrated by Paul Heyman documenting the history of the ECW World Heavyweight Championship from the moment "The Franchise" Shane Douglas threw down the NWA World Heavyweight Championship all the way to Mike Awesome's second and current reign.
Spike Dudley tells Miek Awesome he hopes he is not focused on his gimmick, as he knocked his girlfriend's teeth out. He was the one who was kicked out of The Dudleys due to being too violent. He has been put through everything, and he still got up and fought the next match without being injured. He does not care about winning or losing on Sunday; all he cares about is extreme wrestling and hurting Mike Awesome.
"Judge" Jeff Jones says he has managed Mike Awesome to the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, and asks Spike Dudley who he thinks he is by having his girlfriend come into the ring and hit him with the Acid Drop. He says she made him look ridiculous, and he cannot afford to look ridiculous. Mike Awesome tells Spike that if he has the balls to interrupt his victory celebration, then he can only imagine what he can do to him after he knocked Spike's girlfriend's teeth down her throat.
Lance Storm tells "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer that tonight will be a big night for him, since he will be in his hometown at the very arena where he and his father watched wrestling and watched the stars passed Tommy by. Tonight, another star will pass Tommy by, and that star is Justin Credible. Justin tells Tommy he wants this between himself and Tommy, and he asks Lance to stay out of the way if Dreamer has him up against the ropes, for if Tommy can beat him, he will be the better man. He says Tommy is not the better man, and tonight, he will demolish every hope that ever crossed his mind and show everyone that he and Lance Storm are guilty as charged.

That ends quickly when Big Show scares them all out of the ring and nearly tosses Mike Chioda out of the ring from under the bottom rope.

X-Pac - as Mankind - is seen in Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, talking to some parkgoers. Meanwhile, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Triple H are seen watching this unfold, hoping the real Mick Foley gets arrested when a knock on the door is heard. Tori comes in, and asks to use the bathroom as all the bathrooms are occupied. Stephanie lets Tori use the nearby bathroom.
"Road Dogg" Jesse James talks to WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. He wants to know what his match says, but Stephanie says that is Triple H's decision. When he asks where Triple H is, Stephanie says he is in the bathroom. Road Dogg opens the bathroom door only to find Tori in there. He shuts the bathroom door as he gets angry at Stephanie as he leaves, as Stephanie says she forgot Tori was in there.

He then asks if the people see, taste or smell what The Rock is cookin'. When Kurt Angle shows up, he says he stands before everyone tonight as an Olympic champion, an American hero, and a representative of America. He says he is a man who has gone and one battle in the Olympic games and came out a winner, and he is still undefeated in the World Wrestling Federation. He is a man of intensity, integrity and intelligence, and he feels that he should be "The People's Champion." He then calls The Rock "a CQ, smooth-talking smart-aleck." The Rock gets back on the microphone and tells Angle he should never have annoyed him, and while Angle is no doubt a true American hero, he could not help but realize he is wearing Olympic gold medals. Tonight, he asks Angle to take the medals, shine them up real nice with an all-American cloth and some all-American wax, put them down, do about thirteen jumping jacks, 37 sit-ups and some squats, then take the medals, turn them sideways and shove them straight up his Olympic ass.

Everyone is entered, but only one will win, and Triple H will defend against all comers as he is a champion with spirit and pride, and she is honored to be his wife. She says Triple H is not only her champion, but everyone's champion, and introduces Triple H into the room. He hopes everyone is proud to have him as WWF Champion, and is proud to be their WWF Champion. He ses this as an opportunity to be a leader and role model for everyone in the ring, for when he retires, someone can take his place and become the WWF CHampion and leader to everyone in the WWF. He wants that person to take notice to what they are about to do, as never has a champion gone teo the lengths to defend the title in a random drawing where anybody can have a chance to be champion. Stephanie draws a name, and that name is Andre the Giant, who is obviously not here. Stephanie draws another name, and that name is The Fabulous Moolah. He says the match could be one for the ages, but he wants a more serious competitor. He asks Howard Finkel to draw a name, but he knocks the tumbler over. Rikishi still manages to get up, and Triple H grabs a steel chair outside of the ring and hits him in the guit with it before hitting him in the back. The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) beat "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn by disqualification in a 2-on-1 handicap match when "Road Dogg" Jesse James gets involved. Road Dogg and Billy Gunn then brawl with The Acolytes in the crowd.
Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley are watching the brawl in the crowd from backstage. As Triple H makes The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) vs. The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) for Royal Rumble official, Kane barges in, demanding a match with "that pervert" "Road Dogg" Jesse James. Stephanie tells Kane he's got it. Triple H asks what is up with Kane, and Stephanie says she doesn't know, but it will be one hell of a match.
Police officers are seen looking for Mick Foley outside of the arena.
"Road Dogg" Jesse James is seen backstage with Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. If "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn gets involved in his match, Billy Gunn will be fired. Road Dogg is then put in a match against Kane, and when Road Dogg confronts Stephanie and asks her if she told Kane what happened with him and Tori, Triple H tells him to back off. When Triple H asks Stephanie what Road Dogg is talking about after Road Dogg leaves, Stephanie says she has no idea.
Kane beats "Road Dogg" Jesse James despite X-Pac running towards the ring and distracting Kane, allowing Road Dogg to hit Kane with a low blow behind the referee's back.
The Rock is seen in his wrestling gear backstage. Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley see him on the screen, and Stephanie asks who The Rock is facing tonight. Triple H tells her that The Rock's opponent is the up-until-now-undefeated Kurt Angle. Stephanie is not happy about that.
X-Pac as Mankind is on the Jaws ride at Universal Studios in Florida, talking about his accomplishments and how he is not scared of anything when he is scared by the mechanical shark that comes out of the water.
Before the next match, it is announced that The Rock's new book, The Rock Says..., is on sale now. The Rock talks about last week's Handicap You're Fired Match and how he came out on top against D-Generation (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), thus declaring this the millennium of The Rock and declaring The Rock "The People's Champion." He then asks if the people see, taste or smell what The Rock is cookin'.
Kurt Angle beats The Rock by disqualification. During the match, "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman gets involved. The Rock attacks Blackman with his own Kendo stick, but also hits Kurt Angle with it, ending the match. After the match, The Rock hits Blackman with a Rock Bottom. When Kurt Angle celebrates, however, The Rock gets back in the ring and hits Angle with a spinebuster followed by The People's Elbow. Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley talk about Kurt still being undefeated backstage.
We see a tumbler full of names for Triple H's match being spun, as well as cops stationed at certain points around the arena waiting for Mick Foley aka Mankind to show up.
Before the next match, The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) talk about the Christmas bonus that D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) will give them if they win tonight.
Edge, Christian and Jeff Hardy beat Al Snow and The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley). Al Snow attacks The Dudleys with Head after the match.
At Universal Studios, X-Pac, as Mankind, is in front of Woody Woopecker's Nuthouse Coaster. When he cannot get on the ride due to the rid being closed, he tries to bribe the security guard, but fails. He runs away when the security guard calls for security.
Test beats The Big Boss Man when Prince Albert inadvertently hits Boss Man with a Bicycle Kick after Test ducks it. After the match, Albert and Boss Man argue. Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley talk about the finish of the match backstage, with Triple H calling Test's win an upset. Stephanie hopes nobody upsets Triple H in his match tonight, but Triple H says he is "the game" and that nobody will beat him tonight for he is that damn good.
The tumbler is still spinning backstage.
X-Pac as Mankind is in front of the Back to the Future ride, thinking it will actually take him back in time. Meanwhile, cops are seen near the backstage entrance to the arena.
Before the next match, Triple H tells WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley that The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) are being rewarded for their efforts against The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) last week with their first tag team win when Stephanie asks why the Posse are in the ring.
Kaientai (Taka Michinoku and Sho Funaki) beat The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) when Rodney inadvertently takes out Pete Gas. After the match, Triple H leaves with WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon Helmsley for his match.
The WWF locker room is in a large room backstage. WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley announces that one of the people in the room will have the opportunity to face Triple H, as there has never been a champion with such honor and dignity to defend the WWF Championship in a random lottery. He picks up a random name, and that name is Rikishi. Everyone cheers for Rikishi as Triple H and Stephanie get angry with Howard Finkel.
X-Pac - as Mankind - comes out of the Back to the Future ride only to meet the real Mankind. The real deal beats the faker up for talking about his wife and family, then tells him "Have a nice day...you son of a bitch!"
WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley guests on commentary for the next match.
Rikishi beats Triple H by disqualification. During the match, the rest of D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) watch the match from backstage. Later on, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley hands Triple H a steel chair, then distracts referee Tim White as Triple H hits Rikishi with the steel chair. Rikishi gets his shoulder up afterwards, and Stephanie hands Triple H the WWF Championship to use as a weapon. Triple H hits Rikishi with the title, and the match is over. Rikishi still manages to get up, and Triple H grabs a steel chair outside of the ring and hits him in the guit with it before hitting him in the back. Referees and officials get in the ring to restore order and keep Rikishi away from Triple H. Too Cool (Grandmaster Saxay and Scotty 2 Hotty) show up and celebrate with Rikishi afterwards to end the show. Triple H retains the WWF Championship.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for January 3, 2000
A Lear jet lands in the airport at Greenville, South Carolina. It is announced that a brand new WCW Commissioner will be announced as WCW Executive Vice President Bill Busch's office tries to keep the new nWo in check.
Before the next match, Mike Rotunda calls the crowd "losers," then talks about the Clemson Tigers, saying they don't deserve to wear the color orange. Kevin Sullivan then guests on commentary for the next match.
The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris) beat Buzzkill and Mike Rotunda to advance in the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery Tag Team Tournament. During the match, Standards and Practices (Lenny Lane and Lodi) show up with with their assistant (whose name is Miss Hancock), and give Leia Meow a hard time by covering her up with one of their coats. Kevin Sullivan and Mike Rotunda fight them off in the aisle, but this leaves Buzzkill high and dry and allow The Harris Boys to get the win. After the match, Sullivan and Rotunda fight off The Harris Boys but are easily overpowered.
It is announced that a new WCW Commissioner will be named later tonight due to the actions of the nWo last week. It is also announced that Sid Vicious has only suffered compressed vertebrae in his neck, and with proper rest, he will be cleared to face Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Souled Out.
A black limousine with the WCW logo on the back window is seen in the parking lot. Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash and Jeff Jarrett of the nWo are seen watching this backstage from a monitor, and Scott Steiner says they don't give a damn about the new commissioner. Jarrett says that won't happen, and Kevin Nash says the name for the new commissioner is "a toss-up between Orson Bean and "The Z Man" Tom Zenk." Jarrett then asks where Bret "The Hit Man" Hart is, then Bret is seen entering the building. All of a sudden, Bret is attacked from behind by Sid Vicious, who is wearing a neck brace.
After the break, Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner check on Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. When paramedics approach, they attack them. (One of the paramedics is the future Air Styles, who would be in the company the following year and find greater fame as "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles.) We then see a police motorcade surrounding a limousine on Interstate 85.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. Diamond Dallas Page finds out he has his match with Buff Bagwell at Souled Out, and it will be a Last Man Standing match. Suddenly, Curt Hennig shows up and tells DDP that the powers that be need him in the ring tonight. DDP says he has no problem with that.
PG-13 (J.C. Ice and Wolfie D) show up before the next match, J.C. Ice says that when PG-13 get in the ring, they have something to talk about, but since they are in Greenville, South Carolina, they have nothing to talk about. They proceed to make fun of a fan's looks Wolfie D introduces PG-13 through hip hop verse. Diamond Dallas Page then runs in and makes quick work of PG-13, then he leaves through the crowd as Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner make their way to the ring. The two of them get in the ring, and Kevin Nash pins J.C. Ice while hooking the tights to win, then Scott Steiner spray paints "NWO" on J.C. Ice while Nash does the same to Wolfie D. The New World Order (Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner) beat PG-13 (J.C. Ice and Wolfie D) to advance in the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery World Tag Team Championship Tournament.
Jeff Jarrett and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart approach the ring with baseball bats and guitars.
We see the police motorcade surrounding the commissioner's limousine outside in downtown Greenville, South Carolina.
The New World Order (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner) shows up. Bret talks about how he was attacked backstage by Sid Vicious, and says Sid "didn't get the number of that truck last week" and is now playing petty games with him. Bret calls himself the company's best champion and the best wrestler to put on a pair of tights, and says he has gotten no respects. He says everyone knows what happens when he doesn't get any respect, and he tells Sid he will take Sid out at Souled Out by bashing his skull in and beating him to a pulp like he deserves. He talks about Sid talking about how this is his time, and says this is his time, not Sid's, as he is the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be. He will prove that at Souled Out, and says the nWo can have the night off from here on in, as he will have some fun tonight. He then hands the microphone over to Jarrett, tells Sid Vicious that if Bret wasn't so hot at him, he would be kicking his ass, and that he might as well kill two slapnuts with one stone. He says his match with "The Canadian Crippler' Chris Benoit will be a three-time ass-whipping by torturing him in the Dungeon Match before manhandling him in the Bunkhouse Brawl, then he will come off the top in the Caged Heat Match. He tells Benoit he should be glad he is in Japan tonight, then says Sid Vicious is here alone tonight. Kevin Nash says the nWo rears its sexy head one more time, and WCW had decided to appoint a Commissioner just to make rules they are going to break. He tells WCW Executive Vice President Bill Busch it is a new millennium but things have not changed and they are still the same sons of bitches they have always been. Scott Steiner says he thought he was going to come out here to retire again, but he does not feel like getting misty eyed two weeks in a row. Last week, when he feigned being injured and shed a tear, the people wanted to like him and did not want him to go, but says the feeling is not mutual. He does not see his fans in the crowd, as his fans are educated, wear a suit and tie and are out on Wall Street. He then calls the Greenville, South Carolina crowd "a bunch of gas pumpin', tobacco chewin', inbred white trash." He tells them to boo him all they want, as he does not give a damn, as Goldberg and Sid Vicious are no match for them. He then tells the fans to stand up and bow down to the greatest athletes in the world in the nWo, then kiss their asses.
The police motorcade with the Commissioner's limousine is at the back of the building.
Stevie Ray guests on commentary for the next match.
David Flair and Crowbar beat Lash LeRoux and Midnight to advance in the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery World Tag Team Championship Tournament. During the match, Stevie Ray grabs Midnight by the leg and drags her out of the ring, then hits her. Tony Marinara, Disco Inferno, Johnny The Bull and Big Vito then show up as Booker T runs to ringside and confronts Stevie Ray only to be smacked with a slapjack as he checks on Midnight. Lash LeRoux has the match won, but Johnny and Big Vito attack Lash LeRoux behind the referee's back before Crowbar drags David Flair on top of Lash for the win.
The Total Package - dressed like Sting - is seen approaching the ring with Miss Elizabeth.
The new WCW commissioner's limousine is still parked at the back of the building.
Lash LeRoux confronts Disco Inferno backstage only to be attacked by Johnny The Bull and Big Vito as Disco explains himself.
The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth show up to Sting's entrance theme. The Total Package pretends to be Sting, saying the last time he faced The Total Package, he annihilated him, and that there is a no-name wrestler line dup for a match with him tonight so he can redeem himself and protect his reputation. That "no-name wrestler" happens to be Tank Abbott, who approaches the ring. The Total Package tries to beg for mercy, but Miss Elizabeth maces Abbott in the eyes. The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth leave, then Jerry Flynn runs in and attacks Abbott as he is blinded, but as The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth try to leave, they see a black crow near the rmap.
Security gets in front of the WCW Commissioner's limousine to keep The New World Order (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner) from attacking the limousine with baseball bats.
WCW Championship Committee representative Rob Garner shows up. As a spokesman for the Executive Vice President of WCW, Bill Busch, he is here tonight to deliver a message. Since the writers with iron-clad contacts have come to WCW, the company has been in constant struggle, and it has been a constant power struggle between the powers that be and Bill Busch since day one. Two weeks ago, the powers that be swerved the entire world and reformed the nWo. Tonight, things will be a little bit different as all those people they have depended on the past cannot help WCW at this time, like Sting and Goldberg, as they are at home nursing injuries. All along, Bill Busch knew there was one man with the power and knowledge to bring WCW out of the situation it is in, and in the end, if all else fails, he will have to go hardcore on them. He then introduces the man who made hardcore fashionable when he first set foot into a wrestling ring as well as the new WCW Commissioner: Terry Funk. Terry Funk shows up with a group of security guards who then surround the ring, then takes the microphone. He tells the people that he accepted the job as Commissioner of World Championship Wrestling because he loves real professional wrestling, real pain, real desire, real dedication and the real personalities of professional wrestling, not the paper tigers that are created by the powers that be. As far as the nWo is concerned, they are just "a bunch of fat hogs following along behind the slop wagon," except Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara are not throwing out slop; instead, they are throwing out easy money. What he would like to do to Russo and Ferrara is stick a skyrocket up their exhaust and "blow their damn brains out," but he cannot do that without help from an enforcer, and he wantw that enforcer to come down to the ring. That enforcer is "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, who shows up. The crowd chants "We want Falri!" He asks the powers that be if they hear that, then says he sees a lot of familiar faces in the crowd, and whether they love him or hate him, it is real emotion that he earned by dumping a gallon of blood in the arena on any given night. He says Russo and Ferrara know nothing about that, as he did not script all the blood and guts he gave when the fans saw him. This is why he he can walk through the dressing rooms without looking over his shoulder while living in an ivory tower and sending people to do his bidding, as he is man enough to do what he wants to do himself, as does Terry Funk. He says somebody recognized that when he was put back to work, and guys like Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara try to get rid of guys like him because they never had to guts to do it face-to-face. If anyone thinks the nWo will crank up on its own and run roughshod again, you are out of your mind, and if anyone wants them out of the business, they will have to drag them out of the ring by the balls of their feet. Suddenly, The New World Order (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner). Bret says some guys do not know when to quit, and though Terry Funk was so over the hill that he was broken down on the other side, but here he is\, still kicking. He syas this is still a classy way for Funk to go, as he can go in style with him and the nWo. He may have security protecting him, but he can go the easy way or the hard way, and it is only a matter of time. Funk tells Bret he has all the time in the world, and that he is not going anywhere as Bret will not beat him and he will not allow himself to be eaten, as he is the commissioner and he will see that Bret is beaten at Souled Out. He will put a couple of stipulations on his match: if the nWo comes down to ringside and causes a disqualification, he will automatically lose the WCW World Heavyweight Championship; also, there will be a special guest referee who will do justice to WCW, and that man will be "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, who accepts the position. Anderson tells Bret that if he even gets half an inch out of line, he will not be the only one wearing stripes. As far as the rest of the nWo is concerned, Jarrett will get a chance to "kick big Sid's ass" tonight, as he will face Sid Vicious in a Powerbomb Match with the WCW United States Championship on the line. Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner will be going for the WCW World Tag Team Championship, and while he may be middle aged and crazy, he will msee to it that they get screwed. Kevin Nash says he thought Funk was dead. Funk says he is a dead man walking, and Nash says that can be arranged. He compares Terry Funk and Arn Anderson to Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, and says "The Enforcer" has dead and died of tuberculosis. He says their days are days are over and numbered, and he can make all the threats he wants, but they will do things their way and they can go through everybody in two seconds. He then mentions David Flair is running around half-crazy, then proposes playing the nWo way, as they make the rules, not Funk and Anderson. Funk dares Nash to get in the ring, and Nash tells Funk he is a dead man.
WCW Commissioner Terry Funk is seen talking to security, telling them to look for David Flair. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson talks to Funk. Funk tells Anderson that Anderson's problems are his problems, and that he will make sure they get through them together.
Before the next match, Chris "Champagne" Kanyon says he has been to Hollywood, and that Greenville, South Carolina. He says Buff has done the same and made movies, and his movies suck. Luckily for them, Buff is a better wrestler than he is an actor, and for that, he helped him advance in the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery World Tag Team Championship, and offers him his champagne in appreciation. Bagwell takes the champagne, then says Greenville is Hollywood and that the town thinks Kanyon sucks. He does not like champagne, and unfortunately for Kanyon, and Greenville does not drink it. He then smashes the bottle of champagne on Kanyon's head. "Screamin'" Norman Smiley then shows up as Grrruff, the mascot of the Greenville Gruff of the East Coast Hockey League. Meanwhile, a trainer helps Kanyon to the back along with Kanyon's entourage.
Buff Bagwell beats "Screamin' Norman Smiley and Asya single-handedly to advance in the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery World Tag Team Championship Tournament after Smiley inadvertently nails Asya in the head with the had of the Grrruff costume. After the match, the rest of The Revolution (Shane Douglas, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko) show up and attack Bagwell, then they have to keep both Saturn and Asya apart . Suddenly, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan runs into the ring and fights off The Revolution. Saturn grabs Hacksaw's 2x4 and attacks him with it, then the numbers game catches up until Konnan and Kidman run into the ring, causing The Revolution to retreat.
"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and WCW Commissioner Terry Funk are frantically looking for David Flair. Meanwhile, the nWo (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner) are also looking for David Flair.
"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and WCW Commissioner Terry Funk are still looking for David Flair, as the nWo (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner) Daffney catches up with Funk and Anderson.
The New World Order (Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner) beat The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris) to advance in the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery World Tag Team Championship Tournament. During the match, Scott Steiner guests on commentary, and Kevin Nash goes to the tabelfor a baseball bat. As the referee is dealing with Nash, The Varsity Club (Kevin Nash and Mike Rotunda) attack The Harris Boys with steel chairs before tossing one of them back into the ring. Scott Steiner then tags in and makes the pinfall with one of his knees while flexing his muscles.
WCW Commissioner Terry Funk and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson find out from Daffney that David Flair does not want to talk to anybody, even as they explain what is going on to her. As Daffney leaves, she is grabbed from behind by Jeff Jarrett.
As Buff Bagwell is heading to the ring, Chris "Champagne" Kanyon is about to attack Bagwell when Bam Bam Bigelow catches up to him and scoop slams him into a table off the side of the stage before heading to the back. Kanyon's entourage checks on Kanyon before David Flair and Crowbar show up. Vampiro then shows up, saying that he does not like Bagwell and that he is only here due to business he has with David Flair. Vampiro becomes Buff Bagwell's tag team partner for the next match.
David Flair and Crowbar beat Buff Bagwell and Vampiro to advance in the Lethal Lottery New Year's Evil World Tag Team Championship Tournament. During the match, WCW Commissioner Terry Funk and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson show up and try to talk to David Flair. Vampiro suddenly confronts Anderson, telling him to stay out of his match, but Funk grabs Vampiro and ebeats him up before tossing him back into the ring before telling Flair to get in the ring. Flair crawls into the ring as Bagwell hits Vampiro with a Buff Blockbuster and walks out, and Flair makes the cover to take himself and Crowbar to the finals against The New World Order (Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner).
Shortly after the previous match, The New World Order (Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner) show up with Daffney, who is being held against her will by Jarrett. Scott Steiner says the Falir has surrounded themselves with ugly women and says Daffney is uglier than David Flair's mother, then asks who will get to her first, David Flair and Crowbar or The New World Order. They then leave with Daffney while Crowbar and David Flair head to the back.
David Flair angrily looks for Daffney along with Crowbar backstage.
Sid Vicious beats Jeff Jarrett by disqualification in a Powerbomb Match. Members of Team Power Plant from The Power Plant (the training facility to World Championship Wrestling) are seen in the front row during the match. During the match, Jeff Jarrett inadvertently slides into the referee, tripping him up before Sid Vicious can hit Jarrett with a powerbomb. Sid helps the referee up, but as Sid goes for another powerbomb, Bret "The Hit Man' Hart shows up and hits Sid in the small of the back with a baseball bat. Jarrett takes the baseball bat and smacks it into Sid's back, then Bret sprays "NWO" on Sid's back with silver spray paint. As EMTs show up and check on Sid, Bret and Jarrett attack them. The EMTs then get "NWO" spray painted on their backs in silver. Jeff Jarrett retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship.
David Flair and Crowbar are frantically looking for Daffney backstage.
David Flair and Crowbar beat The New World Order (Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner) to win the New Year's Evil Lethal Lottery World Tag Team Championship Tournament and become the WCW World Tag Team Championships! During the match, Scott Steiner guests on commentary again as Kevin Nash beats up David Flair and Crowbar while a fan mouths off at Steiner. Afterwards, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson shows up in a referee's shirt alongside WCW Commissioner Terry Funk and WCW security. WCW security and Terry Funk confront Scott Steiner while Anderson hits Kevin Nash in the back with David Flair's golden crowbar, then places David Flair on top of Nash to give him and Crowbar the win, the tournament victory and the tag team titles. After the match, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart and Jeff Jarrett show up with Daffney. Jarrett kicks David Flair, then David hits Anderson with his golden crowbar. Daffney reunites with David Flair and Crowbar, then Terry Funk checks on Anderson before Scott Steiner attacks Funk with a baseball bat before throwing Funk into the ring, where WCW security has been laid out. Funk starts fighting back, but Scott Steiner hits Funk with a low blow before Jarrett hits Anderson in the ribs with a couple of baseball bats and taking him to the back with Bret. As Anderson continues to be attacked, Nash lays Funk out with a Jackknife Power Bomb before Bret and Jarrett throws Anderson into the trunk of their Cadillac. Jarrett says if they have to run their car over, they will do what they did to Sid Vicious last week as Scott Steiner joins them at the Cadillac. Nash shows up soon afterwards, then The New World Order drives off to end the show.
Before the next match, Mike Rotunda calls the crowd "losers," then talks about the Clemson Tigers, saying they don't deserve to wear the color orange. Kevin Sullivan then guests on commentary for the next match.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for January 3, 2000
RAW
The Rock shows up to start tonight show. It is announced that his new book, The Rock Says..., will be on sale this Wednesday. The Rock announces that he finally come back home. Ziggy Marley is seen in the front row when The Rock mentions him and the Miami Dolphins, then introduces the Marley family to his family: the millions - and millions - of his fans. Since this is the very first Raw of the new millennium, and he is surrounded by the people of Miami, Florida, and he is The People's Champion, he sees it fit that in 1,000 years from now, when historians look back and wonder what the sound that encompassed the millennium was, it will be the sound of people chanting his name. Since this is the very first year of his millennium, he has one resolution: to be the best damn WWF Champion there ever was. Before that can happen, he has one issue: Mick Foley. He realizes that he gave 15 hard years to the business, and the way he was put out of the WWF was the biggest pile of monkey crap he had ever seen. He then focuses on Triple H, as he knows he is back there listening, and says if he has a shred of hair on his ass, he will get in the ring and go one-on-one with The Great One, look him in the eye and have him take his horns, shine them up real nice, turn them sideways and stick them straight up his candy ass. Triple H shows up with WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, then makes fun of The Rock's jacket before making it perfectly clear to him that he wants nothing more in the world than to beat his ass in front of "all these jackasses" in his hometown, and leave him laying in a puddle of his own blood for all of them to watch, but he has bigger fish to fry than him, as The Rock does not bring much to the table for him or offer him anything he wants. He, too, has made a new year's resolution similar to The Rock's, but his will take place in the ring tonight, as he will go one-on-one with Big Show for the WWF Championship and he will become a three-time WWF Champion, as he is that damn good. He tells The Rock not to feel left out, as he and Stephanie have room in the show for him. Since he likes to make history and likes to be a first for things, he gets to be involved in another first: the first-ever Handicap "You're Fired" Match in which The Rock will go one-on-three, and if The Rock loses, he will be fired. To make sure things are fair, if anyone interferes, they will be fired on the spot. The Rock asks Triple H who he had in mind for his opponents, Triple H is about to answer when The Rock yells "It doesn't matter who you have in mind!" Triple H decides to give The Rock and the fans a taste of what to expect later tonight, and brings out The Rock's opponents: X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, who rush into the ring and gang up on The Rock until referees run into the ring to restore order. Triple H tells The Rock he warned him last week, and that he will experience both consequences as he will get his ass kicked again before getting his ass fired.
The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) watch the next match from the stage.
The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) beat Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) by disqualification. During the match, The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) attack Rikishi, and The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) chase them away. After this, Rikishi gets in the ring and hits Buh Buh Ray with a superkick in front of the referee before hitting D-Von with a spike piledriver. Too Cool and Rikishi celebrate after the match.
Michael Cole interviews The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw). Bradshaw says that if anybody wants to pick a fight with them, then they had better stay until it is over. Faarooq says that if they had a dollar for every ass they've kicked, they would both be billionaires. They will take The Mean Street Posse (Rodney, Pete Gas, Joey Abs) and give them an ass-whupping like no other while having one hand tied behind their backs. Meanwhile, Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, having seen the interview from their dressing room, see this as a great idea, and book the match. "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman shows up, and Triple H tells Blackman that if he hits Kane with the kendo stick, he will be fired. Stephanie asks Triple H after Blackman leaves, and Triple H says it is because Kane is facing Kurt Angle tonight. Triple H then says he has made two new year's resolutions: to become WWF Champion and to end Kurt Angle's winning streak.
Before the next match, Kurt Angle says that people think this could be the end of his reign as the only undefeated wrestler in the World Wrestling Federation, but he has the advantage. This may be a handicap match, but he is the heavy favorite, as he sees a 340 lb. bag of muscle who says nothing because he lacks integrity and intelligence. He may have intensity, but that an only take Kane so far. He then says he is the heavy favorite as he has all the "3 I's" - intensity, integrity and intelligence - in his corner. He asks the fans to cheer him on when he retains his undefeated status and beats Kane.
Kurt Angle beats Kane by disqualification. During the match, "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman shows up with a kendo stick, points it at Kane, then hits Angle with it to give him the win. Afterwards, Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon briefly talk about the match, and Stephanie tells Triple H that if he thought that was tricky, then he should wait and see what she has decided to do with the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Triple H then leaves to get ready for his match tonight.
WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon Helmsley shows up with three referees, one of whom is carrying the WWF Intercontinental Championship. She announces that we have a dilemma on our hands as to who the WWF Intercontinental Champion is. We see a replay of the finish for the WWF Intercontinental Championship match on last week's SmackDown, and when asked who the champion is, Jimmy Korderas says it is Chyna. Stephanie asks Chyna to come to the ring, and Chyna shows up with The Kat. However, the other referee believes it it Chris Jericho, and Chris Jericho is asked to come to the ring, which he does. Stephanie says she has come to a decision, and seeing hothis is the McMahon-Helmsley Era and a new millennium in which business has never been done before, the result will be like never before. Chyna and Jericho are both declared the WWF Intercontinental Champion. Only one of them can defend the title at any given time, and if that person loses, they both lose the championship. She knows they cannot get along, but if they can look at what is in their best interests, they can. Suddenly, The Hollys (Hardcore and Crash Holly) show up. He does not care who is the champion, and he wants a title shot and he wants it right now. Stephanie tells him to come and get it. Hardcore Holly faces Chyna, while Jericho guests on commentary to air his favorable opinion on the decision, calling it a conspiracy against him by the WWF front offices and the McMahon-Helmsley Era.
Chyna retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Hardcore Holly. During the match, The Kat and Crash Holly argue on the apron, distracting referee Tim White. Chris Jericho leaves the commentary table and punches Hardcore Holly in the face, reversing a pinfall by Holly into a pinfall by Chyna. After the match, Jericho runs off with the Intercontinental title, then Hardcore Holly beats up Crash Holly for not being there for him and he tosses him over the barricade and into the crowd.
Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley talk with The Big Boss Man and Prince Albert. Triple H says that last week was not exactly fair, and to be fair to them this week, Boss Man and Albert will face Test and his tag team partners again. The Big Boss Man says they will do what they do best and kick their asses. Stephanie tells Triple H to take on Big Show and win the WWF Championship.
Michael Cole interviews Big Show, but Big Show silently lashes out at Cole as he is on his way to the ring.

Later on in the match, Matt Hardy tries to get into the cage, but Al Snow hits him in the fingers with a steel chair he brought into the ring with him, knocking him off the cage wall. Jeff Hardy wins the match after leaping off the back of Al Snow and launching himself over the top of the steel cage before grabbing the top of the steel cage and letting go to drop down. After the match, Al Snow tries to keep Terri Runnels from escaping the cage, but Matt Hardy is able to save her and the chain around the cage door is finally broken.
