Kevin Kelly interviews Sycho Sid. He says that time ran out on "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, and says his time will come for him to get the WWF Championship back. He says the winner of the Final Four match will pay the ultimate price tomorrow night on Raw.

The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, Crush, Savio Vega) beat Flash Funk, Bart Gunn and Goldust after Bart Gunn hits a top rope bulldog on Faarooq only for Crush to place Faarooq on top of Bart Gunn for the win.

Dok Hendrix interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Austin says Royal Rumble isn't a fluke, and that he'll beat Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Vader and The Undertaker again. He says that there is a bureaucratic conspiracy holding him back for years, and he plans to win the WWF Championship tonight.

Rocky Maivia retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Hunter Hearst Helmsley after Goldust distracts Helmsley. After the match, Goldust is about to get in the ring with Helmsley when it is discovered that a muscular woman is putting Marlena in a sleeper hold from behind the guardrail. Security gets the woman out of the arena, and Goldust has to carry Marlena to the back.

WrestleMania 13 is coming to video on May 6th.

Dok Hendrix interviews Vader. Vader tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin he let his mouth get in him in trouble. He tells Bret "The Hit Man" Hart he is far from the best, and tells The Undertaker to rest in peace. Paul Bearer says Vader has destroyed all three men, and that Vader will become the new WWF Champion.

Doug Furnas and Phillip LaFon beat Owen Hart and The British Bulldog after Owen Hart uses his Slammy Award as a weapon. Owen Hart and The British Bulldog retain the WWF Tag Team Championships, but this still leads to more dissent between Owen and Bulldog, and Bulldog breaks Owen's Slammy before threatening Clarence Mason.

Dok Hendrix interviews The Undertaker. 'Taker says he is rediscovering his edge, and while he may not all of it, but it is coming and the force that dominated the WWF in the early 1990s is not far away. He spells doom for Vader, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, and that there is nothing they can do it. He says the WWF Championship will be his by hook or by cook, and anyone who gets in his way will get eliminated. He tells Vader he has a score to settle with him, and that it will get settled.

Kevin Kelly interviews Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, who says that nothing can stop him from winning the WWF Championship tonight. He admits his opponents are tough, but he has everything going for him, and whoever wins tonight should rightfully be the WWF Champion.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, a bloodied Vader and The Undertaker thanks to the interference of an already-eliminated Austin to win the WWF Championship for a fourth time when Austin distracts Bret and 'Taker, allowing Bret to send 'Taker over the top rope. After the match, Sycho Sid shows up and stands toe-to-toe with Bret.

Thursday Raw Thursday - Raw recap for February 13, 1997

It is announced at the start of the show that "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels will forfeit the WWF Championship tonight, and that the winner of the Final Four match this Sunday will become the WWF Champion.

Rocky Maivia beats Hunter Hearst Helmsley with a surprise inside cradle to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship, earning Rocky his very first WWF title. The Honky Tonk Man shows up in the middle of the match to guest on commentary. Dok Hendrix interviews Rocky after the match, who says that he will give the best that he can give. He thanks his entire family, and tells them he will make them and all of the fans proud.

Sunny returns for the first time in quite some time, and is special guest ring announcer for the next match.

The debuting Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) beat Bob "Spark Plug" Holly and "The Portuguese Man O' War" Aldo Montoya.

Vince McMahon introduces WWF President Gorilla Monsoon, who is already in the ring, before introducing "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. We learn that Shawn is facing a knee operation. Shawn feels like he's done this before, but this time, it is much more serious than it was last time as he has never had a doctor look him in the face and tell him that he may never wrestle again. He was told that yesterday, and while it is something he may not want to believe, it is something he has to deal with as he admits that his body has taken a toll through the years. He admits he can't do anything halfway, and says that all he's ever wanted is the fans to have a good time as the performance he puts on every night is the most important thing. He knows there has been talk of people with bad attitudes and talk revolving around the WWF Championship, and says that he will not be revolving the title for a long time is himself. He has no idea where he is at right now, as he may be beyond reconstructive knee surgery and may not be able to fix it, but if he cannot perform at the same level he did before the surgery, then he simply can't perform. He says he took on a heavy schedule as he felt he could not say no and because he wanted to enjoy life as a WWF Champion, and he got to do everything, which will stick with him. For now, toughness is big in the World Wrestling Federation, and all he has right now is tears, sorrow and emotion. He hands the WWF Championship to Monsoon, and says he will head back home and see what's left for him. He says he has lost a lot of things over the past few months, one of them being his smile, which means a lot to him. He says he has to go back and fix himself and take care of himself as he tries to find his smile again. Tears stream down his face as he says this is all he wanted to do, and that last year was the most wonderful year of his life. If he never does it again, he's okay with it, as he spent a year as the top guy in the WWF. He thanks Vince McMahon and the fans for everything, and says that he is heading home. Vince and Monsoon hug Shawn, then Shawn leaves the ring to shake hands with everyone in the front row and eventually shakes hands with Jim Ross.

The Undertaker beats Savio Vega, then fights off the rest of The Nation of Domination after the match. Crush and Faarooq rush in and attack The Undertaker, then Ahmed Johnson jumps in to even the odds. Eventually, The Nation focuses all their efforts on Ahmed, and The Undertaker gets back up and pulls The Nation off Ahmed Johnson.

Dok Hendrix interviews WWF President Gorilla Monsoon, who says that he did what was fair to everyone concerned in the Final Four match. He says that nobody wants someone to be injured to the point of forfeiting the WWF Championship, but sees it as a golden opportunity to crown a new champion. He also announces that Sycho Sid will still get his title shot promised to him next Monday night on Raw against whoever is WWF Champion.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats Sycho Sid by disqualification when Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up and attacks Austin. Sid then brawls with Hart, and officials have to separate both men.

Vader says that nobody else in the WWF in the last six weeks has beaten The Undertaker and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin on two separate occasions as well as beat Bret "The Hit Man" Hart on Raw.

Jerry "The King" Lawler fills out a Western Union money order to send money to his mother at the broadcast booth.

The Nation of Domination (Faarooq and Crush) beat Owen Hart and The British Bulldog by count-out. Owen Hart's knee is hurt near the end of the match, and he can do nothing to save The British Bulldog from a double-team by Faarooq and Crush. During the match, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart says that he finds it saddening that "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels may not come back to the ring, and that nobody worked harder than Shawn. He doesn't think it's over for Shawn yet, and that he may come back sometime down the line. He hopes that things work out for Shawn Michaels. As for his match with Vader tonight, he says that wrestling Vader is like facing a cement truck as he has always been tough, but he is more than confident enough to think that he can beat him.

Before the next match, The Undertaker says that there seems to be a problem with respect and that he doesn't get it anymore. He tells them that in four days' time, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Vader and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be staring at the eyes of the reaper, and that all three of them will rest in peace at In Your House: Final Four. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin attacks Bret Hart just before the commercial break.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats Vader. Near the end of the match, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen on the balcony, bad-mouthing Bret Hart as Vader goes for the top rope moonsault and misses, allowing Hart to get the win. Officials have to stop Austin from jumping over the guardrail to get at Bret.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 10, 1997

Before the next match, Dean Malenko calls out Syxx, telling him he knows that he stole the WCW Cruiserweight Championship from him, and that he extends to him an open invitation to a wrestling lesson and a lesson in respect.

Dean Malenko beats Eddie Guerrero by count-out. During the match, Syxx shows up with the WCW Cruiserweight Championship around his waist, hitting Dave Penzer while trying to take away Eddie Guerrero's United States title. Eddie Guerrero goes after Syxx and gets it back, but Syxx escapes into the stands and Eddie Guerrero can't get back in the ring in time. Eddie offers his hand, but Dean Malenko slaps it away.

Diamond Dallas Page shows immediately after the opening bout with a chair. He takes the chair with him on the way to the ring and sits down. He says it's obvious he has a target in the middle of his forehead. He's never been accused to being the smartest guy, and says he might be doing the stupidest thing he's ever done. He says he is tired of running and if something is going to happen, then it might as well happen right now. Sting and "Macho Man" Randy Savage are suddenly spotted coming out from the stands and heading to the ring. Sting tosses his bat to Savage, and Savage taps Page's bat with the chair as he and Sting circle page. Page gets out of the chair after a few taps, and Sting pushes Page back with the bat after Savage tosses it back to him before teasing attacking him with the bat. Sting then hands the bat to Page and turns his back, as does Savage, and the two of them dare Page to attack them. Page does nothing, and Savage takes the bat from him before as he and Sting leave.

Konnan quickly beats Bobby Eaton.

Before Lex Luger can take on Ron Powers, Eric Bischoff gets in his way and keeps him from competing tonight due to Luger's hand being broken and in a cast from last week's attack from The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall). Bischoff tells him to give him a doctor's release before he leaves the country, or else Luger will be out of action for four to six weeks - and miss SuperBrawl VII - and that Bischoff could fire him. Lex Luger leaves angry, and The Giant shows up as Eric Bischoff talks about how he has to protect the wrestles from themselves. Eric Bischoff runs to the back as soon as he notices him, then The Giant takes Lex Luger's place in the match.

The Giant beats Ron Powers. Mike Tenay interviews The Giant after the match, who says that The Outsiders are dealing with a true, fire-breathing, walking 7'4", 475 lb. giant, not a regular man. He is not concerned about having a partner for the World Tag Team Championship match, as he has a partner in Lex Luger as he opened the door for him when nobody else would, as everyone else was scared and intimidated and considered him untrustworthy. He says Luger has the heart and intensity, and he has to ask Luger one question, and when he gets his answer, "we'll see." Luger shows up, and The Giant asks him if he would let anything stop him from championship gold after all they have both been through. Luger says no. The Giant then says that at SuperBrawl VII, when it's him alone vs. Hall and Nash and he beats him like he owns them, he will walk out of San Francisco with the WCW World Tag Team Championships, and one of them will go to Luger when he does.

The New World Order has arrived to the arena in a limo. Big Bubba wants to beat Diamond Dallas Page up at SuperBrawl VII.

We hear pre-recorded comments from The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner), who tell The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) that they are ready and willing to fight their way back to the tag team titles, starting with a Four Corners match to determine new #1 contenders for the tag belts.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat High Voltage (Rage and Kaos). Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) and Sister Sherri are seen watching the match from the entrance ramp soon after the bell rings, as do The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian) and Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock).

Eric Bischoff shows up with Syxx, The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) and Nick Patrick and kick Tony Schiavone and "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko off commentary. Bischoff brings out Randy Anderson, who shows up with his wife Christy and his kids Chase and Montana to hear what he has to say. He has brought them here to show them the pain Bischoff has put them through, and asks Bischoff to give him his job back. Bischoff says he should have given this more thought, and asks his children to tell his dad that he's still fired and to get on with his life as Nash and Hall make fun of him. Bischoff tells him to deal with adversity, but decides to give him a taste of adversity and prove that he has a heart and the ability to play on a level playing field by putting Anderson in the ring in a match with Nick Patrick. His wife Christy tells him not to do this after what the doctors have told him, but Randy says that he's wrestled cancer and that he will wrestle Nick Patrick. Eric Bischoff gives Nash and Hall an opportunity to wrestle tonight, and they pretend to leave as The Extreme (Devon Storm and Ace Darling) show up for another match. Syxx distracts The Extreme while Nash and Hall attack them from behind. "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko returns to commentary.

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) beat The Extreme (Devon Storm and Ace Darling) with a Torture Rack on Storm. Syxx interviews Nash and Hall after the match, and Nash tells The Giant to keep being a giant if he wants, as they'll keep being too sweet. Hall says that Nash is also seven feet tall, except he stopped at the cool stage while The Giant slipped at "the dork-meter." He says that The Giant and Lex Luger can't run with them. Kevin Nash then makes fun of Lex Luger's injury, telling him he shouldn't be spending so much time backstage warming up.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

Rey Mysterio Jr. and "Lord" Steven Regal fight to a 10-minute time limit draw. "Lord" Steven Regal retains the WCW World Television Championship.

Lee Marshall calls from Tampa, Florida - the site of next week's Nitro - for the 1-800-COLLECT Road Report.

The Taskmaster beats Maverick Wild after Jacqueline beats Maverick Wild outside of the ring not once, but twice as The Taskmaster distracts the referee. Jacqueline hits Maverick Wild in the face with a forearm after the match. The Taskmaster, Jacqueline and Jimmy Hart are interviewed after the match by Mike Tenay, and The Taskmaster tells Woman and "The Crippler" Chris Benoit about a phone call from a man named "Paul E." who told him to "do his job." He tells Woman that she only thinks she's tough as she comes from a community and he and Jacqueline come from a neighborhood, and that Jacqueline is the closest person in his life now. Jacqueline tells Woman that she wouldn't be anything in her neighborhood, and that Benoit won't be able to rescue her at SuperBrawl VII.

Hugh Morrus beats "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael beat Jeff Jarrett and Chavo Guerrero, Jr. when Debra McMichael keeps Jeff Jarrett out of the ring. It becoms apparent that Debra has feeling for Jarrett as "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson show up as Mike Tenay is about to interview The Four Horsemen. When Mike Tenay calls him the voice of reason in The Horsemen, Anderson says that he is the most unreasonable man you will ever meet. He says that everyone is preparing for war in WCW, and that while Jarrett may have caught Debra's eye, the last guy to do so woke up in six weeks with a flea collar around his neck and sandbags holding his feet up as he asks "How many of them were there?" He tells The Taskmaster that he has lost his soul and his will to win, and that it's time to bury the body. Flair states that today, The Horsemen are in town, and whether you like it or you don't, learn to love it as The Four Horsemen are the best thing going today. Benoit tells The Taskmaster that they have the same personalities and ideologies, and if he wants to play his head games, they'll play them and play them to win. Mongo makes fun of the Jacksonville Jaguars, calling them "expansion wimps," before confronting Debra about what she was doing with Jarrett. Debra says she wants to see Jarrett as a Horseman, and that she wouldn't do anything to hurt Mongo as he still loves him. She also says that she was so devastated about what happen last week as she couldn't go shopping that week and that it was like she couldn't focus. Mongo tells Jarrett she has a one-in-a-million chance of beating him, and that if he does, he's a Horseman. Debra calls The Taskmaster and Jacquelion a "fastidious" couple, as she's fast and he's hideous.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper shows up, and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan watches via satellite from the nWo Studios in Hollywood, California. He says he did not come here to talk to Hogan via satellite while he hides in Hollywood, and that he is here because Hogan said he wanted to fight. He made a promise to his son Colt that he was going to quit wrestling and be the father to Colt that he never had as he missed watching half of his kids grow up, but then "that bald headed geek" Hogan had to go and ruin it. He told Colt he was sorry for what he was going to do, and Colt simply told him "Go get him, Dad." That gave him a license to kill, and Hogan is the target. Hogan says he's more pathetic than he realized, and insists that he beat Piper at Starrcade as he accuses Piper of cowardice for his action last week. Hogan says he has no time to drop his schedule as he has multi-million dollar contracts and people waiting in line to get in the ring with him. He tells Piper that he won't be able to hide behind his children at SuperBrawl VII. Piper tells Hogan to shut up, as he is going to murder him at San Francisco and that the difference between him and Dennis Rodman when he is done with him is that Hogan won't jump.

Vince's Got A Shotgun - Shotgun Saturday Night recap for February 8, 1997

Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" plays as The Undertaker welcomes us to "Amtrak's night train to Hell," as tonight's edition of Shotgun Saturday Night takes place at Penn Station in New York City.

Clarence Mason guests on commentary for the next match.

The Nation of Domination (Faarooq and Crush) beat The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn). During the match, Todd Pettengill puts some guy on camera, claiming he is his dentist and that he saves $100,000 a year on dental floss. Also, Savio Vega shows up to watch from ringside before the first commercial break. Later on, Savio Vega trips Phineas, and when Phineas grabs Vega, Faarooq and Crush double team Phineas to get the win.

Thursday Raw Thursday is this Thursday, two hours long and live on USA Network.

A limousine pulls up at Penn Station. Out comes Hunter Hearst Helmsley, who heads to the ring, and Todd Pettengill interviews him. Helmsley tells Pettengill he has a better chance of seeing him ride an Amtrak train than seeing him lose the WWF Intercontinental Championship. When he interviews the building, he gives a few brief words to the crew of Entertainment Tonight, who are covering the event.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship by disqualification. Early into the match, The Undertaker whips Hunter Hearst Helmsley into the referee, and Helmsley uses the opportunity to nail The Undertaker with the WWF Intercontinental Championship. The referee is back up after the second commercial break of the match. Later on in the match, Helmsley tries to use the title as a weapon again, but The Undertaker takes it from him and uses it against him in full view of the referee, ending the match. After the match, The Undertaker hits Helmsley with a mighty choke slam. He then calls for the Tombstone Piledriver, but Helmsley gets out of the ring and The Undertaker chases after him, eventually grabbing him and hitting the Tombstone right in front of a down escalator. Triple H lays in a sitting position as it takes him to the bottom.

Todd Pettegill interviews people in the crowd to no avail as the cameraman cannot get a clear shot of him.

Savio Vega vs. "The Portuguese Man-o-War" Aldo Montoya ends in a no-contest. During the match, Todd Pettengill interviews a fan who has an old Vince McMahon figurine from the 1980s. Shortly after this, Faarooq and Crush show up to watch the match from ringside before the commercial break. After the break, The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) show up to do the same. It doesn't take long for Faarooq and Crush to get in the ring, but The Godwinns get in there with them and clear them out. They then ask the referee to make it a six-man tag team match.

Tomorrow on Superstars: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Vader! Bret "The Hit Man" Hart guests on color commentary!

Savio Vega vs. "The Portuguese Man of War" Aldo Montoya is now a six-man tag team match between the team of Montoya and The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) vs. The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, Crush, Vega). During the match, Todd Pettengill interviews a woman who confronts another woman for stealing her man, and the other woman asks Todd to hold her purse while both women go at it.

The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, Crush, Savio Vega) beats the team of "The Portuguese Man of War" Aldo Montoya and The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) after Montoya never gets the chance to tag in and Henry O. Godwinn chases a member of The Nation further into the building.

Henry O. Godwinn is seen trying to throw slop at a member of The Nation of Domination. The slop ends up all over Pat Patterson, who is on the monitor at gorilla position, asks Sunny if she thinks this is funny.

Todd Pettengill interviews Curtis Lee, founder of The Guardian Angels, who says The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, Crush, Savio Vega) needs an attitude adjustment and need to get a therapeutic massage and stuffed in some concrete.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 3, 1997

"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan shows up with Ted DiBiase and Vincent to start tonight's show. Hogan says they are here on a mission from God, and that everywhere he goes in Hollywood, California, he hears that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has been there and that he has been dogging him. He says that the WCW shot their mouth off and offered Piper a shot at the World title, and wonders where they get off at. He also states that they have let the word out that Piper will be in the building tonight. He has talked with DiBiase and Vincent, and being "a man of honor" and "a man of his word," he plans to confront him as he is tired of the lies and the backlash and make him admit that he is the better man and that he beat him at Starrcade. He will also put the World title on the line tonight, and if Piper has the guts to come to the ring - or the moment he arrives in the arena, whichever happens first - he will embarrass him and beat him like he insists he did last time.

The Ultimate Dragon beats Ray Mendoza, Jr. It is announced that Piper screamed "The battle is not over until you go home" in Gaelic as he was carried out of the arena on a stretcher the last time he was on Nitro.

Ice Train beats La Parka. During the match, we find out that The Outsiders (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) have knocked Lex Luger unconscious with metal pipes.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Debra McMichael, Woman). "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is conspicuously absent. Benoit says that The Horsemen have goon through a difficult transitional period plagued by injury and internal friction, but by getting through it, one finds out who their friends really are. He calls being a Horseman one of his greatest accomplishment, and says he knows exactly who he can count on and that he wouldn't want it any other way as the Horsemen have a new perspective. Woman says the environment is much better than before, and calls out "Miss Jacqueline" (the woman from last week) for saying she didn't like what she did to The Taskmaster, and tells her that she got her leftovers. Mongo says The Horsemen couldn't be any more tightly knit, and says he'll be there when the rest of the Horsemen need him before announcing he's available to take Lex Luger's place in his match against Jeff Jarrett tonight, and offers to do such for the WCW Executive Committee. Debra brags about her beauty pageant accomplishments again before making fun of Miss Jacqueline's face. Flair says that familiarity breeds contempt and that the Horsemen have worked through it all. He says that Anderson is laid up in a king-size bed and watching them resolve their problems. Flair tells The Taskmaster and Miss Jacqueline that "nobody with a boyfriend named Shorty walks next to the Nature Boy."

The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian) and Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) are seen watching the next match from the front row. It is also confirmed that the woman mentioned by The Four Horsemen in the interview from earlier is indeed named Jacqueline.

We learn that The Taskmaster and Miss Jacqueline go back ten years, and that because The Taskmaster's personal life unraveled, The Horsemen got back together and that The Taskmaster forgot where his strength really lied as he crumbled. He says Miss Jacqueline was there for him ten years ago, and here for her now. Jimmy Hart says that women in professional wrestling is nothing but trouble and thinks Miss Jacqueline has a hidden agenda. Konnan thinks The Taskmaster has made a good catch, but says their real business lies in destroying The Four Horsemen. He asks The Taskmaster for a favor: let him take care of "The Crippler" Chris Benoit so he can spend more time with Jacqueline, who says that she didn't need plastic surgery for the toned body that she has and that Woman is jealous because she took The Taskmaster away from her. The Taskmaster says that it won't end between him and Benoit tonight, and Jacqueline tells Nancy she will beat her like she stole something - supposedly with the leather belt that is in her hands - is she sticks her nose in their business.

Diamond Dallas Page beats The Renegade with the Diamond Death Cutter - a Diamond Cutter with the opponent on the top turnbuckle. After the match, The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) are seen with metal pipes in their hands at the top of the entrance ramp, daring DDP to come at them. As they slowly walk down the ramp, Sting is seen in the crowd, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage - wearing black and white once again - is seen in the stands from the opposite side shortly afterward. Page grabs a steel chair and takes it back into the ring, not knowing who is friend or foe. All four men disappear soon after.

"Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright beats Super Calo.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit vs. Konnan is thrown out when Miss Jacqueline shows up with a leather belt ready to hit Woman with it. Benoit grabs it out of her hands, and Jacqueline fails to find another weapon underneath the ring. Jimmy Hart and Konnan have to hold Miss Jacqueline back.

It is announced that Lex Luger will not be able to wrestle tonight, and that Steve "Mongo" McMichael will officially take his place as per the WCW Executive Committee.

Jeff Jarrett beats Steve "Mongo" McMichael by count-out when Debra McMichael, who does not want the match to take place, keeps Mongo from getting back in the ring after Jarrett drop kicks him out of the ring.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in Piper's first appearance on Nitro since he was sent to the hospital. Piper heads to the ring with his youngest son Colt. Piper says he will never be an Elvis Presley, and that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan will never be a Roddy Piper. He doesn't understand why WCW wants him to fight Hogan again, even if it is for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. After we hear from Colt for a few seconds, Piper says that it is time for himself to grow up and be a man. Hogan shows up with Eric Bischoff and Vincent. Piper tells Hogan (whom he calls "Terry") that he's not out here to do anything, and asks Hogan to let him go home. Hogan calls his plea "weak" and tells him to get on his knees and beg for mercy. He tells Piper he had a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and that Piper has never been a world champion. He also calls Piper bringing Colt to the ring is a sign of Piper knowing what he is doing as well as a calculated risk. He says he was willing to defend the World title tonight, and that Piper isn't willing to get beaten again. Eric Bischoff wants Piper to admit that Hogan beat him like a drum. Piper does, and then Hogan wants Piper to admit that Hogan is the wrestler and icon friends and family really talk about, not Piper. Piper plays along with Hogan, and Hogan tells Piper that he is done with him, as he says that calling Piper "a coward" is one thing and "yellow" another, as Hogan tells Piper he is hiding behind a kid. Piper and Colt turn around to leave, and Hogan slaps Piper in the back of the head as he does. Piper helps his son out of the ring, then takes off his jacket and slams Hogan's and Bischoff's heads into each other before giving Hogan what for. Eric Bischoff gets back on the apron with the steel chair, and grabs the World title to swing it at both Hogan and Bischoff, who retreat. He lifts up the World title, then says "Let the games begin," and "San Francisco, watch my fist go," indicating that he has accepted the World title match.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 3, 1997

Instead of showing the Royal Rumble match in its entirety as advertised, snippets of the Royal Rumble match were shown throughout the show instead.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up before "Stone Cold" Steve Austin can face Vader and fights Austin. Vader picks up Hart and hits him a few times, and Vader and Hart brawl. As officials escort Hart to the back, Austin gets a few shots in on Hart. The match then begins after Hart is escorted further away from the ring.

Vader beats "Stone Cold" Steve Austin by disqualification after Austin hits the referee with the Stunner and he and Vader fight outside of the ring until officials separate them.

Thursday Raw Thursday happens on Thursday, February 13th!

Before the next match, Savio Vega tells Jim Ross he doesn't care what the fans think about his turning of them, and says that the Nation of Domination will rule the World Wrestling Federation. (It should be noted that one of the men in tuxedos seen when Savio Vega makes his entrance is future WWF Superstar D'Lo Brown. Also, J.C. Ice and Wolfie D are inexplicably absent.)

Jim Ross interviews Sycho Sid in the ring. Sid agrees that he and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels have a weird relationship, and that it can be considered a friendship on the edge of madness. He states that Shawn would agree that evil is just that: evil. Sometimes it is mistaken for happiness, and in his case, evil showed up on him at Survivor Series, and that evil showed up at Royal Rumble. Sid says that when the ride comes to an end and the smoke clears, says he will be standing the man and the master and ruler of the world.

Owen Hart and The British Bulldog are interviewed from backstage. Owen says that he accidentally eliminated Bulldog at the Royal Rumble match when he tried to eliminate "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, but Bulldog isn't convinced when approached about his response after the elimination.

Doug Furnas and Philip LaFon beat Owen Hart and The British Bulldog by count-out after Owen apparently twists his knee, but Owen Hart and The British Bulldog retain the WWF Tag Team Championships. It is soon revealed that Owen Hart feigned an injury, and The British Bulldog confronts him about it.

Ahmed Johnson is interviewed from backstage. He tells Vince McMahon that this is just the beginning between him and the Nation of Domination, and he has something in store for them and everyone else, as he is off his Prozac, and when he doesn't take his Prozac, there is no telling what he'll do to anybody. He tells Savio Vega to go ahead and join the Nation of Domination if he wants to, but he will pay with the rest. He is confronted by The Undertaker, who is about to chokeslam him when Ahmed swats his hand away. Ahmed tells him that he'll be deader than usual if he puts his hands on him again, but The Undertaker tells Ahmed "If you go now, you go alone. If you wait, we'll bury 'em together." 'Taker then pushes the camera away.

Crush beats Goldust after The Nation of Domination distracts the referee and Savio Vega attacks Goldust from behind during the Curtain Call. During the match, Hunter Hearst Helmsley briefly shows up.

The New Blackjacks are coming to the WWF...

Vince McMahon interviews "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels in the ring. He agrees with Sycho Sid's statement that the WWF Championship brings out the evil in everyone, and that he is one of the people whose evil has been brought out from the title. Yet if being bad is what you have to be to be WWF Championship, then he'll be the worst guy anyone has ever seen. As for the crowd being bigger fans of Bret "The Hit Man" Hart than him, he's won more than enough popularity contests and that it's time to be #1 as being the #1 guy is what helps keep the title. Shawn goes on to say that he is used to being disliked, especially when he is both the champion and honest. He tells Hart he can keep calling himself "the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be," but he can't call himself WWF Championship. Suddenly, Bret Hart, who has been watching the interview from a cordoned-off area, shows up and gets in the ring. Hart says he has tried to like Shawn, but tells him it gets harder and harder all the time, and while he tells Shawn he can pride himself on being a self-proclaimed degenerate and a "complete and total jackass," the fans don't have to like it. He calls Shawn a punk, and as Shawn stops him, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up and attacks Hart yet again. Sycho Sid makes his way into the ring and confronts Shawn in the ring.

After the commercial break, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Sycho Sid have been escorted to the back. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels lays the WWF Championship on the mat, then he and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart stare down. Shawn picks the belt back up, but can't as Hart has his foot on it. Bret picks it up, then tosses it back to Shawn and flips him off before leaving.

Earlier tonight, Tiger Ali Singh was singed to a WWF contract. Singh hopes to carry the Canadian flag to even greater heights than ever before.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against "Wildman" Marc Mero after Helmsley tears out a turnbuckle pad, which Marc Mero tells the referee to fix. When that happens, Helmsley pulls out a foreign object and knocks Mero out with it. As per pre-match stipulation, Sable and Curtis Hughes are barred from the arena.

WWF is heading to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; East Rutherford, New Jersey; Lowell, Massachusetts; and Cincinnati, Ohio!

The Undertaker and Ahmed Johnson beat Faarooq and Mankind in a No Holds Barred Match after Ahmed sends Faarooq retreating to the back and Vader's attempt to hit 'Taker with a chair as Mankind holds him down backfires when 'Taker moves out of the way.

Vince's Got A Shotgun - Shotgun Saturday Night recap for February 1, 1997

Todd Pettengill is near the Mirage Nightclub. We see footager from five weeks ago where Ahmed Johnson . Meanwhile, Paul Bearer and Vader are seen looking in a dumpster for Mankind, as he has not been seen for two hours. Suddenly, Mankind shows up, saying he cannot wait to get into the nightclub as he loves the music and women, and says the women love him. Vader tells Mankind to pull himself together as he has work to do tonight.

Mankind guests on commentary for the next match, much to the fear of Sunny, who is scared of him due to not knowing what he intends to do. When Ahmed Johnson shows up with a 2x4, Vader grabs the steel chair that Mankind is sitting on for potential use as an equalizer.

Ahmed Johnson beats Vader by disqualification when Mankind brings a steel chair into the ring and Vader hits Ahmed with it.. During the match, Mankind gets in the ring only to get shoved by Ahmed during the break. Mankind is back at the commentary table after the break. After the match, Vader almost hits Mankind with the chair, and Ahmed grabs the chair from him and hits him with it.

Todd Pettengill interviews The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh). Thrasher pours hot wax on himself as Mosh says that are not normal and have never been afraid of what was under the bed. They always wanted to be what was under the bed, and whatever the people have always been scared of. He says the club sucks, and that they have to do their own stuff and entertain themselves.

Mankind is still at the commentary table for the next match when he is supposed to be facing The British Bulldog. The Bulldog has to drag Mankind - who is not even dressed to compete - to the ring in order to wrestle him.

Mankind beats The British Bulldog. During the match, Todd Pettengill interviews Savio Vega, but Vega tells Pettengill he has nothing to say to him and to get the hell out of his face. Shortly after that, Vader shows up at ringside. He eventually provides the damage to The Bulldog to cost Bulldog the match as Mankind and Paul Bearer distract the referee by tossing Bulldog into the steel guardrail twice. After the match, Vader continues to attack Bulldog, and Mankind joins in. Ahmed Johnson eventually shows up and chases Vader out of the ring, breaking his 2x4 in half in the process.

Todd Pettengill interviews Paul Bearer, but as Bearer says he will become a successful tag team manager, Ahmed Johnson and The British Bulldog have a heated confrontation. Referees have to get back into the ring to restore order.

Henry O. Godwinn is seen watching a dancer, while Phineas I. Godwinn guests on commentary for the next match.

Before the next match, Savio Vega says joining The Nation of Domination is the best thing to happen to him, and says he is sick and tired of the fans and that he cares only about The Nation. Suddenly, "Double J" Jesse James gets in the ring, starting the next match.

Todd Pettengill interviews The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh). Thrasher says that he doesn't know why people don't like them, as they are their children. Suddenly, Mosh pukes on Thrasher's mouth, and Thrasher tells Mosh "I told you not to eat that roadkill!"

The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) dance near one of the dancers before the next match.
