Vince's Got A Shotgun - Shotgun Saturday Night recap for February 1, 1997

Todd Pettengill is near the Mirage Nightclub. We see footager from five weeks ago where Ahmed Johnson . Meanwhile, Paul Bearer and Vader are seen looking in a dumpster for Mankind, as he has not been seen for two hours. Suddenly, Mankind shows up, saying he cannot wait to get into the nightclub as he loves the music and women, and says the women love him. Vader tells Mankind to pull himself together as he has work to do tonight.

Mankind guests on commentary for the next match, much to the fear of Sunny, who is scared of him due to not knowing what he intends to do. When Ahmed Johnson shows up with a 2x4, Vader grabs the steel chair that Mankind is sitting on for potential use as an equalizer.

Ahmed Johnson beats Vader by disqualification when Mankind brings a steel chair into the ring and Vader hits Ahmed with it.. During the match, Mankind gets in the ring only to get shoved by Ahmed during the break. Mankind is back at the commentary table after the break. After the match, Vader almost hits Mankind with the chair, and Ahmed grabs the chair from him and hits him with it.

Todd Pettengill interviews The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh). Thrasher pours hot wax on himself as Mosh says that are not normal and have never been afraid of what was under the bed. They always wanted to be what was under the bed, and whatever the people have always been scared of. He says the club sucks, and that they have to do their own stuff and entertain themselves.

Mankind is still at the commentary table for the next match when he is supposed to be facing The British Bulldog. The Bulldog has to drag Mankind - who is not even dressed to compete - to the ring in order to wrestle him.

Mankind beats The British Bulldog. During the match, Todd Pettengill interviews Savio Vega, but Vega tells Pettengill he has nothing to say to him and to get the hell out of his face. Shortly after that, Vader shows up at ringside. He eventually provides the damage to The Bulldog to cost Bulldog the match as Mankind and Paul Bearer distract the referee by tossing Bulldog into the steel guardrail twice. After the match, Vader continues to attack Bulldog, and Mankind joins in. Ahmed Johnson eventually shows up and chases Vader out of the ring, breaking his 2x4 in half in the process.

Todd Pettengill interviews Paul Bearer, but as Bearer says he will become a successful tag team manager, Ahmed Johnson and The British Bulldog have a heated confrontation. Referees have to get back into the ring to restore order.

Henry O. Godwinn is seen watching a dancer, while Phineas I. Godwinn guests on commentary for the next match.

Before the next match, Savio Vega says joining The Nation of Domination is the best thing to happen to him, and says he is sick and tired of the fans and that he cares only about The Nation. Suddenly, "Double J" Jesse James gets in the ring, starting the next match.

Savio Vega beats "Double J" Jesse James.

Todd Pettengill interviews The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh). Thrasher says that he doesn't know why people don't like them, as they are their children. Suddenly, Mosh pukes on Thrasher's mouth, and Thrasher tells Mosh "I told you not to eat that roadkill!"

The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) dance near one of the dancers before the next match.

Next Saturday: Shotgun Saturday Night is live in Penn Station in midtown Manhattan, New York!

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) vs. The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) ends in a double count-out after Henry O. Godwinn slams Mosh on the floor far away from the ring.
