SuperBrawl VII - The Results

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper finally leaves his cell on Alcatraz Island at the start of the show. He says it is time to pay the piper, and says he didn't spend seven days on Alcatraz for no reason before calling Hogan "an extinction" on his way to the mainland.

Syxx beats Dean Malenko to become the WCW Cruiserweight Championship when Eddie Guerrero rushes to the ring to stop Syxx from using the Cruiserweight title as a weapon. Malenko confronts Eddie for this, which distracts Eddie and allows Syxx to head Malenko in the face with the title as the referee tells Eddie to leave the ring and get the win.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund announces that a WCW Superstar had breakfast with the New World Order, and details on what this could mean are only available on the WCW Hotline. He then interviews Diamond Dallas Page, who has a mystery opponent tonight. Page narrows down the list of New World Order members he could be facing, and Page and Okerlund both realize Buff Bagwell ould be an opponent when producers tell him through his earpiece that it is indeed Buff. DDP tells Buff that he'll hit him with a Diamond Cutter when he thinks he's got his number.

Konnan, La Parka and Villano IV beat Juventud Guerrero, Ciclope, Super Calo.



Prince Iaukea retains the WCW World Television Championship against Rey Mysterio, Jr. During the match, "Lord" Steven Regal shows up and pulls Rey Mysterio, Jr. off the apron to attack him from behind. Prince Iaukea notices Regal after the match. Iaukea hands the title to Mysterio and declares him the victor, as he doesn't want the win under those conditions, but Rey hands the belt back to him and lifts his arm up in victory in response as Regal watches in disgust.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund plugs the WCW Hotline again, then interviews The Giant. He knows that The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) will play psychological warfare after hanging around them long enough, but he plans to play the conductor while The Outsiders play the instruments on his way to take the tag team titles.

Diamond Dallas Page beats an arrogant Buff Bagwell by disqualification when The New World Order charges the ring. DDP gets out of dodge through the stands.

Keith Phillips of Ogden, Utah, winner of the Sony PlayStation giveaway to win a trip for two to San Francisco, California to participate (and win) in yesterday's Sony PlayStation Tobal No. 1 Tournament of Champions at Planet Hollywood in downtown San Francisco is seen in the front row.

Eddie Guerrero retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Chris Jericho. Eddie drapes the belt across Jericho's shoulder and raises his hand in a show of respect after the match.



Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) beat Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) and The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian) in a Tag Team Triangle Match.

Jeff Jarrett beats Steve "Mongo" McMichael to become a member of The Four Horsemen after Debra McMichael tosses the steel Halliburton briefcase into the ring after the referee is knocked down and Mongo demands the briefcase. Jarrtt catches the briefcase and hits Mongo in the head with it beofre the referee can get back up.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats The Taskmaster in a chaotic San Francisco Death Match with Woman and Jacqueline tied to each other with a leather strap...or they're supposed to, but that fails to happen when the fight starts before the bell rings and both women smack each other with the leather strap, among other things. Benoit wins after he dives onto both The Taskmaster - and Jacqueline, who is on top of The Taskmaster to protect him - on a table. Benoit, Jacqueline and The Taskmaster are inured after the match. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson views the aftermath from the entrance ramp, while Lee Marshall, Terry Taylor and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff - who has not been seen in WCW for some time - rush to the ring to assist the injured and get medical staff into the ring, and Benoit, Jacqueline and The Taskmaster have to be wheeled out of the arena on stretchers into two ambulance, and Sullivan comes to just as he is placed into one of the ambulances. He holds Jacqueline's hand as the door is closed, while Benoit is placed on oxygen before placed in the other ambulance.

The Giant beats The Outsiders (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) with some last-minute help from Lex Luger to win the WCW World Tag Team Championships for himself and Luger, who shows up and beats up Eric Bischoff for getting in his way before tagging himself in to put Kevin Nash in the Torture Rack after he fights off Hall, Nash and Syxx. After the match, The Giant choke slams Scott Hall. Before the finish, Kevin Nash does the unthinkable and puts The Giant in the Jackknife Power Bomb only to put his back out.



"Rowdy" Roddy Piper supposedly beats "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan with a sleeper hold, but the match is restarted as Hogan's feet were underneath the rope, and the sleeper hold has to be broken. During the match, Sting and "Macho Man" Randy Savage show up. Savage refuses to go back to the back when Sting stops him, and watches from ringside while Sting watches the match from the entrance ramp for a short while before heading back to the back. When Piper supposedly wins with the sleeper hold, Savage places a foreign object in Hogan's hand, and when Piper gets Hogan back up, Hogan punches Piper with it and retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. After the match, Savage punches Piper out, spray paints "nWo" on Piper's back with black spray paint, and attacks Piper along with Hogan with two top rope elbow drops as he reveals himself to be a member of the New World Order. After the attack, Hogan says "This one is for the brotherhood" as both Hogan and Savage show camaraderie together. Savage goes for one more top rope elbow drop on Piper, then Savage pins Piper as Hogan makes the three count.
