Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for May 13, 2023

Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Gryffen X.

Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships against The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont).

We hear from The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris), who says that they are just getting started and that it is time for extreme measures, and that they will do what will do what they said they were going to do and take over Memphis Wrestling forever.

We hear from Barnabas the Leader, who says that K-Toomer will get another opportunity at the Heritage Championship that should belong to Maurice the Strong. He then wishes K-Toomer the best of luck, saying he will need it, then says the one who laughs last, laughs best, and that he will hear his laughter at the end.

Before the next match, "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn guests on commentary wearing a dark red wig.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats Uncle Phil after "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn heads to ringside and tries to trip Justin Cole only for Justin Cole to pull his wig off, causing Brad Skimahorn to run to the back.

Dustin Starr interviews "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane at the announce desk. Austin Lane denies nothing is wrong despite Dustin Starr mentioning that everyone is seeing a different side of him, then "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane shows up with Jerry Lynn, and Austin tells him there is no reason for him to be here after the meet and greet. Jerry Lynn says that he got a call from Nikki and that he is concerned, and mentions that Austin Lane has talked about the business turning one into a monster and that he had to swallow his pride and apologize to him after fighting him for the wrong reason. Jerry Lynn provides some pictures of the two of them and mentions that Austin Lane has a smile in all of them that he does not have anymore, and proposes that he should apologize to those who did him wrong. Austin Lane and Jerry Lynn hug, and Nikki Lane joins in. Jerry raises Austin's hand, then Nikki Lane hits Jerry Lynn with a low blow as Austin stares at Jerry. Austin then gets Jerry in the ring and says "I'm smilin' now!" before putting Jerry in a guillotine choke.Referees have to rush in and pull Austin off of Jerry Lynn.

We see footage of Storybook Prince Gaston finding a travel bag at the top of a building. He looks inside and finds something useful, then gets a phone call from Nyxx.

Before the next match, K-Toomer says that opportunities like this do not come often and that he does not want to waste this opportunity. He then tells the referee to make the match no-disqualification, as there is no reason for this to end without a winner. K-Toomer then tells ring announcer Terrence Ward to leave the ring, which Terrence does.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against K-Toomer after The Circuz (Barnabas the Leader and Maurice the Strong) show up. "Big Trouble" Ben Bishop shows up with the Cobra Cup, then Maurice the Strong gets on the apron only to be knocked off with a running knee from K-Toomer. This allows Brett Michaels to hit K-Toomer with the GunShow Lariat to retain. After the match, Ben Bishop says he is not cashing in yet, then tells Brett Michaels to get ready to get ready, because here comes trouble.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for April 29, 2023

K-Toomer beats "Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt by submission. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews K-Toomer at the announce desk. K-Toomer proclaims that in two weeks, we will be looking at the next Heritage Champion. After K-Toomer leaves, however, The Circuz (Barnabas the Leader and Maurice the Strong) shows up, and Barnabas says that K-Toomer is more miserable than the fans for thinking he deserves a Heritage title shot and that Maurice The Strong pinned K-Toomer to get such an opportunity. He says that he and Maurice will keep an eye on K-Toomer, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and the Memphis Heritage Championship. K-Toomer dares Maurice in the ring, but Barnabas holds Maurice back.

Dustin Starr interviews James Ellsworth and Matt Williams at the announce desk. Ellsworth asks the Memphis fans if they are happy to see him back and that he was scouting talent for Ellsworth Enterprises while he was away and he wanted to find the most fabulous women in Memphis Wrestling, who happened to be "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx. When asked where Storybook Prince Gaston is, Matt Williams says Gaston is out on business, and Ellsworth says everyone should be talking about Nyxx instead as he puts her on a pedestal above the rest of the women's division. He says that it is all about Ellsworth Enterprises and all about Nyxx as the fans tell him to shut up, then Matt Williams introduces Nyxx, who shows up. Through Matt Williams, Nyxx states that she had no one-on-one matches for the women's title and that nobody was in her corner as she wrestled for the title, and the only reason Cassandra Golden held the women's title was because "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock hit her in the face with it. She then says she took what was rightfully hers.

Backstage, Mackenzie Morgan and Cassandra Golden try to get a hold of "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx, but to no avail. They then realize they need a partner against Nyxx, James Ellsworth and Matt Williams, then Big John Dalton shows up, much to Mackenzie and Cassandra's chagrin.

"The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts beats Mike Anthony after Justin Case distracts the referee so that Roberts can hit Anthony with a Kendo stick. After the match, Roberts hits Anthony with the Kendo stick a few more times and chokes him with it.

Dustin Starr tries to interview "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane at the announce desk, but Austin Lane simply heads to the ring.

"The Best of the Best" Austin Lane beats the debuting Gryffen X with a guillotine choke in a "Best of the Best" Challenge, then refuses to let go of the hold for some time. After the match, a very trouble Austin Lane refuses to give Dustin Starr any answers as to what is going on with him.

We hear from Mr. Chris, who says it is time to put the spikes away for good as he washes his facepaint off his face, and that it is the end of The Posse's (Simon and Mr. Chris) story. We also hear from Simon, who says that it is time to take the facepaint off and that they cannot cut it against the younger wrestlers.

Uncle Mikey beats "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn in a Hair vs. Hair Match. Mikey uses the scissors at first, and when Brad comes to, Mikey uses the electric razor, as does a few of the fans. Finally, Mikey puts shaving cream all over Brad's head and uses a traditional razor.
