Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 5, 2022

In footage from earlier today, The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn) pull up at the arena when they are interviewed by Byron Saxton. Suddenly, Matt Riddle speeds by on his scooter, then Jey Uso says he and Jimmy will get Riddle and Elias like they get everyone else. Suddenly, Elias shows up as Jimmy is speaking, but he is jumped from behind by Solo Sikoa.

The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn) head to the ring. Before the next match, Jimmy Uso announces that tonight's tag team title match is cancelled after The Bloodline beat up Matt Riddle and Elias, then says Riddle does not have to be humiliated tonight and Elias can work on any song he wants to. Suddenly, Riddle shows up and says beating up Elias before he could get some WWE gold, then says it is not "Ucey" for The Bloodline to run from a fight, then Sami Zayn says Riddle cannot decide what is and what is not Ucey and that he is an "Uceologist." He says that Solo Sikoa proving why he is the enforcer is "Ucey," as is The Usos proving they are the best tag team of all time. He then says Riddle showing up thinking he had a chance is "not Ucey," and suggest to Riddle that he go home or get beaten up like Elias. Riddle then says that he has found a tag team partner and that there will be a tag team title match tonight. He then admits that while they do not get along, they hate The Bloodline. Kevin Owens shows up.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against Kevin Owens and Matt Riddle following the distraction from Sami Zayn that allows The Usos to hit the 1D for the win. After the match, The Usos and Sami Zayn attack Riddle, but Owens runs them off with a chair. Solo Sikoa, however, sticks around in the ring and attacks Riddle before hitting him with the Samoan Spike. Solo then smashes Riddle with a hip attack in the corner before bringing a chair into the ring. He wraps the chair around Riddle's neck, then hits another hip attack on the chair. Solo leaves as medical staff fit Matt Riddle with a neck brace and place him on a stretcher.

It is announced that there are two women's Triple Threat Matches tonight. Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are in one, while Asuka, Bayley and Rhea Ripley are in the other. The two winners will square off next week to decide a #1 contender for the Raw women's title.

Backstage, Rhea Ripley says Bayley and Asuka have been incredible and very good at what they do, but they are not her, and when she is done with them and Bianca, the Raw women's division will call her "Mami."

JBL's Poker Invitational takes place backstage. JBL welcomes everyone to the event, then Dexter Lumis shows up with his Louis Vuitton bag of money. JBL tells Dexter he is not invited until Dexter dumps the money, which causes JBL to change his tune.

Before the next match, Becky Lynch shows up in the crowd and says hello to Bayley, then says she was thinking about how Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky) beat her up last week before saying they have not faced each other one-on-one in three years. She says they barely scratched the surface, then she left and Bayley accomplished a lot, then they kept missing each other when one returned and the other was gone, but Bayley makes it clear that she does not care and that Becky only cares about herself. Bayley then says that she cares about the fans, not Becky, and that she has been looking out for the fans and the locker room since Becky had been gone, and that the fans have no respect for what she has been doing. Becky says that only two-thirds of Damage CTRL have been successful because she sees "two champs and one loser," then says she hopes Bayley wins so they can see if she is tough enough to face "The Man." As Becky leaves, she comes face-to-face with Rhea Ripley, and a referee has to stop them from getting physical during their stand-off. Both of them sarcastically wish each other good luck, then Rhea heads to the ring and Becky heads to the back.

Bayley beats Asuka and Rhea Ripley in a Triple Threat Match to advance to next week's #1 contendership match for the Raw Women's Championship. After the match, Rhea Ripley gets back in the ring and attacks Asuka while Bayley watches from the ramp, and Rhea hits Asuka with Riptide.

It is announced that Drew McIntyre is not medically cleared to compete this week and that Drew McIntyre will be back soon. Butch will replace McIntyre in this week's tag team title match on SmackDown.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins heads to the ring. Rollins announces that next week, he will go one-on-one with Bobby Lashley to determine a #1 contender for the WWE United States Championship. He says that he has a lot of things to say to Lashley, but with Lashley not here, it is not a lot of fun, and he would rather the crowd have fun singing his song. Suddenly, Lashley arrives. Lashley says he is here and asks Rollins what he would like to tell him, then tells him to be careful with that. Rollins says Lashley has not been the same since he lost to Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel, and wants to know what is up with his obsession with Lesnar. Lashley says Rollins is trying to get under his skin and rattle him again, but Rollins concludes that Lashley is jealous, not scared, of Brock Lesnar, and that Lesnar had the career Lashley wishes he had. Lashley grabs Rollins and says this is about the two of them and the championship that should be around his waist, but Rollins says the championship will not fill the void that Lesnar made, and that if he does not get his head right, winning will be easier for him than last time.Lashley clotheslines Rollins immediately, and this starts a brawl that quickly goes to the outside that officials have to break up. Rollins breaks free and gets his hands on Lashley again, but he is corralled by officials into the ring. This doesn't stop Lashley from breaking through and getting to Rollins, and officials have to break them up. Lashley then inadvertently hits Petey Williams with a Spear.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Austin Theory, who says that he saw two former champions of the past fighting over scraps while unaware that they have been forgotten about while "the forever" is just beginning. Theory suddenly runs into Mustafa Ali, who tells Theory that his mouth writes checks that he can't cash. Theory tells Ali that he just keep running his mouth and getting beaten down, and tells him to quit. Ali says he will not quit and he will get back in his face and become champion. Theory says that if he wants his shot, then says that once he is done with him, he does not want to hear from him about title shots again.

At JBL's Poker Invitational, Chad Gable boasts that he knows what poker is all about. This leads to a "shoosh-nerd" battle between Gable and Luke Gallows while Baron Corbin tries to get a read on Dexter Lumis and thinks he has nothing. Corbin has a straight, but Dexter has a full house. Corbin accuses Dexter of cheating, and as he threatens to beat him up, Dexter puts an axe on the table, which shuts Corbin up. At the other table, Akira Tozawa and Dominik Mysterio have a verbal altercation after Dominik is caught cheating, and JBL tells them to take it outside. Tozawa tells Dominik he will see him in the ring.

Austin Theory retains the WWE United States Championship by disqualification against Mustafa Ali after he is suddenly attacked from behind by Dolph Ziggler. After the match, Ali confronts Ziggler, but Theory lays both of them out and hits Ziggler with the A-Town Down.

Backstage, JBL is met by The Miz, who wants to know why he was not invited to the JBL's Poker Invitational. When JBL tells him he must buy in, The Miz mentions he has no money and offers his Rolex, but JBL tells him his Rolex is not real. An offended Miz leaves.

Backstage at JBL's Poker Invitational, Baron Corbin gets caught with some extra cards in his sleeve. This leads to Baron Corbin and Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) arguing with The O.C ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson), which leads to them having a match and Dexter Lumis walking away with all the money. Before he and Johnny Gargano pack away the money in the Louis Vuitton bag, Dexter Lumis tosses a stack of $100 bills to the dealer, who runs off with them.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Bianca Belair, who admits that while Bayley was impressive tonight, she knows how to deal with her. She also says that all the potential contenders are dangerous in their own ways, but no matter who wins, they will have to be ready for her.

We see footage of Matt Riddle being placed in an ambulance from earlier tonight.

JBL guests on commentary for the next match.

The O.C. ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) beat Baron Corbin and Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) in a six-man tag match.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Candice LeRae. Upon learning she must face Iyo Sky next week, LeRae says she is a marked woman thanks to Damage CTRL and that she had to send them a message after they injured her, as she is now a mother and has more to fight for. Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis show up with the money from JBL's Poker Invitiational, and Gargano has to stop Candice from cussing when she sees all the money. Candice leaves the interview by saying that they have to spend the money.

Dominik Mysterio beats Akira Tozawa after avoiding the top rope senton. After the match, The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) show up before Dominik can attack Tozawa again, and The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Riplye, Dominik Mysterio) retreat.

Backstage, WWE official Adam Pearce tells Bobby Lashley that he knows what happened with Petey Williams was an accident, but warns him that if something like that happens again, his hands will be tied. Lashley responds by telling Pearce to make sure nobody else stands in his way.

Alexa Bliss beats Nikki Cross and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat Match to face Bayley for #1 contendership of the Raw Women's Championship next week after Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky drag Becky Lynch out of the ring, allowing Alexa Bliss to hit Nikki Cross with the Twisted Bliss for the win.

This week on Raw Talk: Austin Theory! Bayley! The O.C. ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, "Michin" Mia Yim)!
