It is announced that John Cena will appear on the December 30th episode of SmackDown.

LA Knight heads to the ring. After the commercial break, Knight says he has struck a nerve with and struck fear into Bray Wyatt, because he keeps getting blindsided and Wyatt does not take accountability. Knight calls Wyatt's bluff, then says he knows it is Wyatt before showing footage of his being buried under debris before showing the interview before that, where the exit is dark as an Uncle Howdy mask can be seen on the other side. We then see footage of Knight being trapped by a crate, and in the doorway in the distance, Uncle Howdy's mask can be seen. We then see footage of Wyatt with an Uncle Howdy mask in his hand. Uncle Howdy says Bray Wyatt deserves to suffer and to make himself famous by making him suffer, then says "The door is closed." Knight says if no one else will do anything about it, then he will find Bray Wyatt himself.

We see footage from earlier tonight where Cathy Kelley interviews Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro, Zelina Vega). Suddenly, we find out that Shotzi's hand has been smashed in a car door and that "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey and "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler are nearby. When asked about it by Megan Morant, Ronda and Baszler refuse to take responsibility and says that "the bulls are coming," then Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox show up wanting a match. Baszler says that if you mess with the bull, you get the horns.

Zelina Vega guests on commentary for the next match.

Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro) vs. The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) ends when Hit Row (Top Dolla, Ashante "Thee" Adonis, B-Fab) show up and take . Valhalla gets in the ring, but B-Fab attacks her and throws her into Zelina Vega before Top Dolla catches Joaquin Wilde out of the air and slams him down.

Kurt Angle has a party backstage when Jason Jordan shows up with a homemade "#1 Dad" card.

Ricochet heads to the ring, followed by Imperium (Gunther, Giovanni Vinci, Ludwig Kaiser), as WWE official Adam Pearce moderates a contract signing fo next week's Intercontinental Championship match. Before the contract signing can take place, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) suddenly show up. Woods apologizes for interrupting and says they want a front row seat, and Kofi says Gunther will eventually get mad and he and Imperium will try to jump Ricochet. Woods says they want to watch Ricochet sign the contract, then the three of them will put a hurting on Imperium if they have a problem. Gunther tells Ricochet that he is the one who took the title from him and beat him twice to prove he is not worthy, and next week, he will beat him again in the worst way possible, and nothing will save him from that. He says the difference between Imperium and Ricochet and The New Day is that they respect the sport, as they are wrestlers and not performers. Gunther signs the contract, then Ricochet says Gunther cannot perform, which The New Day turns into a chant before Ricochet says that everyone will bear witness to him taking the title back next week. Gunther stands up, and Adam Pearce asks for a ring crew before both sides toss out the tables and the chairs. Adam Pearce then says to forget the crew and to get a ref in the ring before he leaves while everyone brawls. Referee Charles Robinson get in the ring as Ricochet and The New Day come out on top in the brawl, then the match proceeds.

Backstage, The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, Solo Sikoa) are all in agreement that they are "Ucey," then head out for a bite to eat. As they leave, Jey Uso reminds Sami Zayn that Roman Reigns will be at SmackDown next week and that trimming his hair and beard for the big night is a good idea.

Backstage in the trainer's room, Karrion Kross and Scarlett show up, much to the chagrin of the trainer, who calls for security. Kross mentions Rey's problems with Dominik Mysterio and how he respectfully showed restraint, then mentions Scarlett is from Romania. He talks about how Scarlett's family had a thorougbred horse that got weaker, and while they made the horse into a work horse by putting a cart to it, eventually the horse could not do anything. He then says it is sad when there comes a point when an animal has to be put down. Security shows up, then Karrion Kross says "Tick, tock" as he and Scarlett leave.

Before the next match, we see a video package of Tegan Nox's road back into WWE and into the main roster. Tegan says she has known Liv Morgan since they were both in the Performance Center and that they both know what it takes to be champion.

We see another vignette of Lacey Evans training with United States Marines.

Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox beat "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey and "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler. During the match, Raquel Rodriguez shows up surrounded by officials trying to keep her out of the ring, distracting Ronda. As Baszler goes for a Kirifuda Clutch, Liv hits a jawbreaker and Tegan his the Shiniest Wizard on Baszler for the win.

Backstage as Kurt Angle's party, Kurt Angle heads to the ring by himself.

Kurt Angle heads to the ring. As he thanks the fans for the birthday celebration, Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) show up. Gable takes offense for not being invited to the party and chalks it up to Angle not wanting to be upstaged by a real Olympic hero, then tells him that this is petty and that "pettiness sucks." He also tells Kurt Angle that the fans are right when he says to Angle "You suck," then says Angle has no integrity and lost his intensity, and tells him that if he wants to keep a shred of his intelligence, he will get out of the ring as Otis eats his birthday cake. Gable then tells Angle to get out of the ring before he gives him another broken neck. Angle heads to the beack, but as Alpha Academy helps themselves to the cake, Angle tells Alpha Academy that if they are going to eat all that cake, they are going to need a lot of milk. Gable Steveson shows up with a milk truck, and after Angle and Steveson throw bottles of milk over the top rope at Alpha Academy, Kurt Angle sprays Alpha Academy with a hoseful of milk before the two of them drink milk together to end the show.
