Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for December 7, 2022

"Absolute" Ricky Starks last eliminates Matt Hardy and "All Ego" Ethan Page to win the 2022 Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale. After the match, MJF shows up. He says "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson is not here because he is terrified of him after what he did to William Regal, then says he will become a four-time Dynamite Diamond Ring winner and the AEW World Champion. He then mentions that the fans love Ricky Starks and view him as some underrated wrestling god before telling him that in comparison to him, Ricky Starks is "the absolute drizzling shits" and a "roody-poo candy ass." MJF says Ricky Starks stole everything from The Rock and is "a dollar store Dwayne" before deciding he will call him "The Pebble" and put him in his pocket, hop into his new Porsche and skip him all the way back to NWA. Starks bumps into MJF as he grabs a microphone before calling "Maxi pad" a "fifth-rate Roddy Piper" and making fun of his promo style and his "cheap" appearance before saying he knows nothing of the responsibility of being AEW World Champion. He then says that he kept the people going and delivered every single time while MJF walked out and took three months off because he wasn't getting paid enough, then says he lives with dignity and respect while MJF knows nothing of the sort. Starks then says that next week, he is putting up and shutting up and he will take the AEW World Championship from him and the responsibility of being champion off his plate. MJF responds with a kick to the groin. Starks then says that next week, he is putting up and shutting up and he will take the AEW World Championship from him and the responsibility of being champion off his plate. MJF responds with a kick to the groin. When MJF goes for a the punch to the face with the Dynamite Diamond Ring, however, Starks ducks it and Spears MJF out of his shoes.

We see a video package for Darby Allin vs. Samoa Joe for the TNT Championship later tonight.

We hear from Jon Moxley, who says that he is starting to like "Hangman" Adam Page after he got off his horse, dusted himself off, got back on and did all his talking with his fist, which he says there is not enough of in AEW. He says that this weekend, The Blackpool Combat Club will bring back "100-proof" professional wrestling and that he will be at ringside on Friday as they put The Jericho Appreciation Society in the rear view mirror for good.

Samoa Joe retains the TNT Championship against Darby Allin after reversing a Coffin Drop with the rear naked choke. After the match, Darby Allin shoves Joe and dares him to hurt him more. Joe headbutts Darby, then grabs Darby's skateboard, puts it down wheels-up, and hits the Muscle Buster on Darby on the wheels. Joe then chokes Darby out again, and as referees try to pull Joe off of Darby, Wardlow runs into the ring and chases Joe away.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Orange Cassidy and Kip Sabian. Orange tells Sabian that if he wants a shot at the AEW All-Atlantic Championship, all he had to do was ask. Sabian accuses Orange of waiting until he is hurt to do something like this, then Orange tells Sabian that if he cannot fight this week on Rampage, then he had better find someone who can.

We hear from Chris Jericho, who says that Claudio Castagnoli does not have the belief that he can beat him when it counts, and that he will beat Claudio and force him to join The Jericho Appreciation Society, which he says will be the best thing for Claudio. He then says that he will look forward to beating Claudio and taking him under his wing afterwards.

The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta) beat The Jericho Appreciation Society (Jake Hager and Daniel Garcia) after Cesaro rolls out of the ankle lock from Hager, breaking the hold as well as Garcia's Dragon Tamer on Yuta before hitting a European uppercut on Hager for the win. After the match, Tony Schiavone interviews The Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio, Yuta) and shows an interview with William Regal from a few weeks ago where Regal says he took exception to what MJF did to Schiavone and gave him what he wanted. He says that everyone will be chasing MJF, then says that while The Blackpool Combat Club did not need him, they did not want to let him go. He says he had to lead by example, and that he did what he did was to teach them one final thing. That final thing is to stay one step ahead and to keep eyes in the back of one's head. He then says he is Blackpool Combat Club until the day that he dies and that "it's been emotional." Moxley says he knows one thing is for sure, and that is he, Claudio and Yuta bleed for the sports of professional wrestling, and at Final Battle, their war with The Jericho Appreciation Society will be over. He says that the three of them will make their statement, as will professional wrestling, this weekend.

We hear from Malakai Black, who says that there is a corruption in AEW that it is up to them to stop that corruption. Julia Hart says the crime is treason, and Buddy Matthews says the verdict is war. Brody King says that they will tear the meat from the bone and that the sentence is extermination. Malakai Black then dares anyone from the locker room to go against The House of Black (Malakai, Julia, Matthews, King).

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Jamie Hayter. Hayter says the women's division has been getting interesting, but she is at the top of the totem pole while everyone is grinding their way up while she is busy reigning and defending. She says Hikaru Shida's Regina Di Wave championship match against The Bunny will not hold a candle compared to her championship, but she says that whoever wins that match will face her for the AEW Women's World Championship.

The Baddies (Jade Cargill, Red Velvet, Leila Grey) beat Madison Rayne, Skye Blue and Kiera Hogan in a trios match. Jade Cargill's record is now 43-0.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Saraya when Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. on the biggest win of her career before saying it will never happen again and that she had a pay-per-view match against her handed to her. She then hands Saraya tickets to the show at January 11th, then Saraya says she would love to beat Britt again. Britt says she has Jamie Hayter with her at all times, and tells her to find a tag team partner for that night.

The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships against FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) after Caster reverses a jackknife pin from Cash Wheeler. After the match, both teams scissor in a sign of respect, then The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) show up on the video screen and mock FTR, then announces through a Christmas card signed in blood that The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) will fight FTR at Final Battle in a Double Dog Collar Match as they pull two dog collars with metal chains out of Christmas stockings.
