As Briggs and Jensen think about how to become tag team champions again, Kiana James shows up with her assistant. Kiana James says she has taken care of the financial situation. While the commercial debt is done, there is a lien placed on the bar by the bank and that she can sell the bar outright. Fallon Henley calls Kiana James "a real bitch," but Kiana says she prefers "businesswoman," then puts the bar on the line in a match next week. If Fallon Henley wins, her parents keep the bar with none of the debt, and Kiana removes the lien and leaves them alone. If Kiana James wins however, she gets the bar for only what she paid for it, pennies on the dollar. Kiana James accepts the challenge.

Carmelo tells him he cannot see the NXT Championship from the back of the line, then says he is next in line for the title. He also says that he has no problem beating Apollo Crews in a wrestling match. Apollo says he expected more from Carmelo, and says that while Carmelo has it all, no matter how good Carmelo is, there is always someone better. At Chase University, everyone is having a Christmas party. Thea Hail gifts Andre Chase a new sweater, then Chase chews someone out for presenting fruitcake, which he is allergic to. This causes a few people to question their gift choice of fruitcake. Duke Hudson, having no gift, tricks someone into thinking the principal wants to see them, then takes their gift of a "#1 Professor" plaque and gifts it to Andre Chase.

When Bron Breakker fails to show up, Waller calls him a coward and says he has carried NXT on his back all year and is the biggest star here. He then says that there is nobody who can do what he does and that he is soon to become the greatest NXT Champion of all time, then says Bron Breakker is not the dog he thinks he is before Bron Breakker suddenly shows up at the arena. Breakker runs to the ring and hits Waller with a Spear, but Waller is the one left standing when he reveals that he had body armer and a steel plate behind his jacket. Waller brags that he has outsmarted Bron Breakker again, and that he will outsmart him one more time at New Year's Evil when he becomes NXT Champion.
