Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for December 15, 2022

Shera beats Jack Price in the BTI match.

Eddie Edwards beats Delirious after pinning Delirious' shoulders to the mat as Delirious has him in the Cobra Stretch. After the match, both men shake hands, and Eddie raises Delirious' hand before kicking him in the gut and hitting him with the Diehard Driver. Eddie hits Delirious with some mounted punches, then Yuya Uemura runs into the ring to save Delirious only to be overpowered by Eddie. Eddie tries to unmask Delirious, but Jonathan Gresham suddenly shows up and confronts Eddie. Eddie rolls out of the ring.

Backstage, Scott D'Amore admits to "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander that going sixty minutes with "Speedball" Mike Bailey went better than expected, but Alexander says that was not his intention even though Bailey is the real deal. When Alexander says he will call out Bully Ray tonight, D'Amore tells him that Bully has a match and not to interfere with it. Tommy Dreamer shows up and apologizes to Alexander for thinking Bully Ray was trustworthy, and extends his hand. Alexander refuses to accept his apology, as he feels Dreamer was in on everything Bully Ray was doing. D'Amore says Dreamer is one of the most honest people he has ever known, but Alexander is not having any of it.

Bully Ray quickly beats John Skyler. After the match, Tommy Dreamer heads to the ring and confronts Bully Ray that they were friends and that he vouched for him, and that he thought for one moment, he had changed. He says that Josh Alexander will kick Bully Ray's at Hard to Kill and that he will not be part of his of negativity, then tells him that he is here not to fight him, but that their friendship is over and that he will have nothing else to do with him again. Tommy Dreamer says that if he wants to put him on the spot, then he will put Bully on the spot. Bully is unflustered and tells Dreamer to walk away, and says that Dreamer is nothing but "a jealous coward" and "a nobody." He says that if D-Von Dudley walked in his shadow, then Tommy Dreamer walked ten steps behind at all times, then says he was a bigger star than him in ECW, WWE, Impact and all over the world. Bully Ray says that some consider Tommy "a failure in the wrestling business," and when Tommy gets on the ring apron, Bully Ray tries to keep him out of the ring before saying Tommy will not take a swing. He says that Tommy became "a fat bastard" while he became "a wrestling machine," then admits that he attacked Ace Austin and knew that Dreamer would go to bat for him, and that he used Dreamer and got what he wanted. Dreamer starts crying, then Bully calls him a bitch. Dreamer says that Bully knows what he has gone through, especially with his mother, and says that he did what he did for the business because he loves it. He then says that if he and Bully want to go, then they can go right now, but Bully laughs and leaves the ring as Dreamer dares him to take a shot. Bully tells Dreamer that he is in his head on his way to the back.

The Major Players (Matt Cardona and Brian Myers) beat Decay (Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus). Before the match, Crazzy Steve is attacked from behind by Trey Miguel, who then tags Crazzy Steve in the back with spray paint. Despite the cheap shot, Crazzy Steve is still willing to compete.

Backstage, Scott D'Amore presides over a contract signing between Jordynne Grace and Mickie James for their title vs. career match at Hard To Kill. Jordynne says that she knows means to the both of them, then says she will say her peace in the ring and signs the contract. Mickie says Jordynne is acting like this is a foregone conclusion and that she has already won. Jordynne denying this, saying she is letting Mickie have her moment, but Mickie says she has many moments against the greatest that Jordynne could only dream about. She says that she will have one more at Hard To Kill, then signs the contract before Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans show up. Tasha Steelz says that Mickie James has yet to defeat her and that "The Last Rodeo" is not complete without her. Mickie says there is a month until Hard To Kill and that she has a lot of time. Jordynne says it is a little too late and that the paperwork is already signed, but Mickie says she does not need Jordynne's help. D'Amore then says that since everyone wants to fight, Mickie James and Jordynne Grace can take on Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans in a tag team match next week.

In backstage footage from last week, "Speedball" Mike Bailey gets a standing ovation, and Kenny King says that despite his beef with Bailey, he has appreciation for what he has done. He then spits water in his face and shoves him, and that gets him kicked out.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "Speedball" Mike Bailey, who says Kenny King is trying to get under his skin. If Kenny wants to face him in the ring, he will do that, but he will not play along with his games and continue on his quest to be the best.

Sami Callihan beats Alan Angels, now known as just "Angels." After the match, Deaner and Callihan have a staredown until Callihan is attacked from behind by Kon. Kon rains down mounted punches on Callihan until Deaner commands him to stop, then commands Kon to hold him down. Deaner then directs Angels to attack Callihan, and Angels kicks Callihan in the face with a roundhouse kick. Deaner then steps on and over Callihan before sitting on him.

Backstage, "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw and Jai Vidal meet with "The Virtuousa" Deonna Purrazzo and wants to get back together as a tag team, but Deonna says that Gisele broke up VXT and should be apologizing to her. After Jai Vidal stops things from getting out of hand, Gisele Shaw says that they need a fresh start, and that even though Deonna wants the Knockouts Championship, the Knockouts Tag Team Championship are sitting there waiting to be taken. Deonna reluctantly agrees, then the three of them huddle together to form a plan.

We see a vignette of Taylor Wilde using tarot cards.

Before the next match, Joe Hendry says he has no idea what goes on in Swinger's Dungeon, but he does hear a lot of screaming, slapping, moaning and whining when he passes by. He then says that in Hendry's Dungeon, you only hear one joyous sound of "We Believe," and that everyone believes in Joe Hendry.

Bhupinder Gujjar and Joe Hendry beat Johnny Swinger and "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. During the match, Moose suddenly jumps the barricade to attack Joe Hendry, but Joe Hendry sees it coming. Moose goes after Hendry with a steel chair as Hendry backs up to the back and says that they can "settle things with HR." This leaves Bhupinder Gujjar fighting solo, and he handily wins the match against Johnny Swinger and Zicky Dice.

Backstage, John Skyler sits with Jason Hotch. Hotch says there is no respect in Impact Wrestling, and Skyler notes that Hotch does not get any respect and that everyone just calls them "good hands" like some sort of backhanded compliment. Hotch says he gets it and says he would love to step in the ring with him, and Skyler says he would also love to do that, but as part of a tag team. Both men shake on it not with a handshake, but with a "hands shake."

We hear from Steve Maclin, who says he was trained to do everything by the book and that getting everyone home was the reward. He says that is not the case in Impact Wrestling, as he can do anything to beat former world champions yet gets no reward for it. He then says that he must change up his tactics to get closer to the Impact World Championship, and that Rich Swann is the wrong place at the wrong time in the world of the wrong guy.

The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) beat Heath and Rhino to win the Impact World Tag Team Championships for the third time. The Major Players (Matt Cardona and Brian Myers) are banned from ringside during this match. During the match, Rhino hits Sabin with a Gore as Shelley tries to distract the ref, but Sabin kicks out of the Gore. Rhino goes for a second Gore, but Sabin counters with a Sunset Flip for the pin and the win to get the titles.
