Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 19, 2022

The show starts with Paul Heyman introducing everyone to tonight's show. We then see Roman Reigns, who says that Kevin Owens continues to leave Raw and tries to crash the gates to his home with John Cena's help, and says Owens will need all of Raw to have his back. He says that Owens has interfered in his business way too much and that it is time to use all of The Bloodline's resources and keep torturing Owens until The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn) is acknowledged. Backstage, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) shoot a cellphone video of Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn attacking Mustafa Ali and another person backstage.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) beat The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and Damian Priest) after Akira Tozawa throws a red Solo cup's worth of liquid into Dominik's face when Rhea Ripley dodges. This distracts Finn Balor, and Montez Ford is able to get the win. During the match, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) shoot cellphone footage of Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn attacking Andre Chase and Elias backstage. After the match, Rhea Ripley confronts Tozawa and punches him in the face before challenging him to a match. After the commercial break, the match begins.

Rhea Ripley beats Akira Tozawa in an actual, sanctioned intergender match after avoiding Tozawa's top rope senton despite The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) taking out Finn Balor and Damian Priest with stereo dives.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews WWE official Adam Pearce as he tries to call Paul Heyman. Pearce says that what is going on between himself and Bobby Lashley is private business, then MVP shows up wanting a word with Pearce. All of a sudden, a referee shows up and demands Pearce's attention, as something happened backstage.

It is revealed that Shelton Benjamin, Dolph Ziggler and Cedric Alexander have been attacked backstage. Ziggler mentions that The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso, Jey Usos, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn) attacked them.

The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) beats Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis). After the match, The O.C. is attacked from behind by Sami Zayn and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso). WWE official Adam Pearce then shows up with back-up. That back-up is in the form of security guards and officials, and after the commercial break, Jimmy Uso says The Bloodline runs the business. Sami Zayn says the only angry person here is Pearce and that people love to hear from him. He says that when The Bloodline have a message, they will deliver it, and that tonight is a small example of what will happen to Kevin Owens and John Cena when they face him and Roman Reigns on December 30th. Sami Zayn and The Usos then head to the back with a security escort, but they are soon attacked by "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, and security and officials quickly move into place tos top a potential brawl.

Backstage, "The Phenomenal AJ Styles demands a match against a member of The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn) tonight from WWE official Adam Pearce. Pearce gives Styles a match against Sami Zayn later tonight.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Alexa Bliss and Bianca Belair. Bianca wants to know why Alexa did what she did last week, and Alexa explains how Bray Wyatt turned her into an evil version of herself and left her with abandonment issues. She then says that therapy has only turned her into a shell of her former self that is still trying to work through things. Bianca is not exactly satisfied with the explanation, but Alexa says this is about her, not Bray, and that she is still a threat to her title. Bray Wyatt's butterfly symbol appears on the monitory behind everyone briefly, and when the interview ends, Alexa Bliss smashes a vase full of flowers into the back of Bianca's head.

The Miz beats Dexter Lumis in a Double or Nothing Ladder Match to reclaim his money after JONAH - now known as Bronson Reed again - shows up from out of nowhere after not having been in WWE in more than a year and attacks Lumis before helping The Miz to the ladder.

Backstage, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins shows his new shirt to a backstage worker.

Sami Zayn beats "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles following the distraction from Solo Sikoa, who hits Styles with the Samoan Spike after Styles attacks him as he climbs over the barricade. After the match, WWE official Adam Pearce confronts Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa and tells them to leave.

It is announced that next week's Raw will be a "best of 2022" episode.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins heads to the ring. Rollins mentions that The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn) have not attacked him and tells Roman Reigns that Monday nights do not belong to him, then Austin Theory shows up. Theory tells Rollins that nothing belongs to him and that Rollins called the United States Championship "the championship on Raw," then says the champ is here and that his era is not just forever, but only beginning. He says that Rollins will pass the torch to him whether he likes it or not, and if he does not, he will take it from his cold, dead, legendary fingers. Rollins tells Theory to keep his cool so he does not end up like Bobby Lashley, then says Rollins is only standing because Lashley has attacked referees and officials instead of him and that Rollins has been lucky as of late. Rollins says there is no reason for Theory to be angry because he has it all and is everything he says he is, and that he has grown up and become the United States Champion. He then says that as much as the United States Championship means, Theory will never be him because he is not on his level. Theory says he can see right through Rollins, as WWE has given him the balls and fumbled it like the Chicago Bears, and while he has seen the mountaintop, Rollins has only seen one peak while he is coming for Everest. After Theory says that Rollins will have to settle for being the third-best member of The Shield, Rollins says he is the mountaintop and he is Everest, then says he wants to know what kind of man - and champion - Theory is right now. Suddenly, Rollins sees The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso), and the two of them stare down The Usos as soon as Rollins notices them. Theory then runs away, leaving Rollins on his own, but Rollins smiles before fighting The Usos solo. As The Usos overpower Rollins, Kevin Owens shows up and levels Jimmy Uso, then gets in the ring with Jey before Rollins gets up and clocks Jey. WWE official Adam Pearce and other officials force The Usos to the back. Rollins and Owens then agree on a fight with The Usos, and Adam Pearce makes the match official.

We hear from Becky Lynch backstage. Becky says she and Bayley have been playing cat-and-mouse lately with Bayley sending her lackeys after her, but she says the best Bayley is a solo act and that they have both had great solo careers. She says that Becky did everything on her own while Bayley couldn't put her on the shelf on her own, and did not even hold the knife when she stabbed her in the back. She wants to know if she is in a one-on-one match or a one-on-three match tonight. Becky says that win or lose, she will die on her own sword, which is something that Bayley cannot do.

Bayley beats Becky Lynch after Becky goes after Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky with a announce table monitor. Becky leaves the monitor in the ring, but Bayley takes it and hits Becky with it behind the referee's back before hitting the Rose Plant for the win.

Backstage, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins is met by Kevin Owens. Rollins says it has been a while since they have been a team, but Owens says it ended because Rollins tried to steal his WrestleMania spot. Owens then says it is moot and that they two of them can beat The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) tonight.

Kevin Owens and Seth "Freakin'" Rollins beat The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso). During the match, Solo Sikoa shows up, but he gets attacked by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. After Rollins takes Solo out with a dive and dodges Solo, which sends Solo running into the ring post, Rollins hits The Stomp on Jey Uso only to be attacked with the United States Championship by Austin Theory. Owens fights through and hits Jimmy Uso with a pop-up powerbomb for the win. After the match, Sami Zayn tries to slide into the ring from behind Kevin Owens, but Owens sees him coming and Sami leaves.

This week on Raw Talk: Elias! Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky)! The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio)!

Here are the top moments from tonight's show!
