Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for December 17, 2022

Dustin Starr interviews "The GunShow" Brett Michaels at the announce desk to start tonight's show. Brett Michaels says that now that the Trios Tournament is over, it's time for Mike Anthony to get back in the ring with him and give him his Memphis Heritage Championship rematch. He says he may be in action today, but he always has time for Mike Anthony and they can do it tomorrow, next week, or even next month at Grind City Rumble, and next time Mike sees him, his hand will be up in the air.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Storybook Prince Gaston. After the match, Brett Michaels calls out Mike Anthony and says "Your ass is mine!"

Dustin Starr interviews Van Viciouss and "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock at the announce desk. Blaylock says he has a big surprise for next week, then he suddenly gets a call on his phone from "The Rock." Blaylock puts "The Rock" on hold and says The Rock was really calling him. Blaylock then says everyone will have to wait until next week for his surprise, and insists that it will be big. Van Viciouss says everyone does not think he is the best, but he is the best in the world. Blaylock says he and Viciouss will take on anyone in the Grind City Rumble.

Backstage, Brad Skimahorn says today is the day and that it is about him when he faces Uncle Mikey. We then hear from Mikey, who says that the sun will rise and shine every morning and that he is not afraid of Brad. He says that Brad is starting to look like "what trans fat would like as a person" and tells him to get his head on straight, and asks him what Briar Skimahorn would think.

Coach "Too Fine" Justin Klein guests on commentary for the next match.

The Hot Shots (Ethan Ross and Brandon Savage) beat The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Roughshot Lamont) after Coach "Too Fine" Justin Klein leaves the announce desk and tries to pull Bradley out of the ring. Bradley confronts Klein, and that allows The Hot Shots to hit the double team maneuver for the win.

Dustin Starr interviews Uncle Mikey at the announce desk. Mikey asks what Brad Skimahorn was done to prove he is main event material, then says somebody needs to whip him and teach him to behave. He then says if Brad wants to do this, then they can see what Brad has got.

After the commercial break, Dustin Starr interviews Brad Skimahorn at the announce desk. Brad Skimahorn says he was one of the first-ever tag team champions and that he also won the trios tag team titles, then refuses to acknowledge Uncle Mikey as his own uncle before getting in the ring.

Brad Skimahorn beats Uncle Mikey after grabbing a chain from underneath the ring, wrapping it around his right hand and hitting Mikey in the face with it from the outside.

Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony at the announce desk. Mike Anthony tells Buff Bagwell that hitting him with the crutch was a bad move, because he still has a massive headache and he lost the Trios Tournament. He says "Bluff Bagwell" talked tough and still couldn't back it up. He dares Buff Bagwell to face him when he is physically cleared so he can beat him, then has the cameraman follow him around the ring so he can tell the fans that they suck, then jumps a fan in a red shirt who yells at him. The man in the red shit is actually Big John Dalton's father "Big Daddy" Brandon, and even though Brandon fights back, Anthony gets the upper hand and hits him with a chair. Big John Dalton and "The GunShow" Brett Michaels run into the ring, and Mike Anthony retreats. Dustin Starr and a host of referees check on Brandon along with Big John Dalton and Brett Michaels to end the show.
