Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for November 17, 2022

Yuya Uemura beats Andrew Everett in the BTI match.

Black Taurus beats "The Darewolf" PJ Black to advance to the finals of the X Division Championship Tournament.

Backstage, Scott D'Amore makes the match between Frankie Kazarian and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander official with a contract signing. Alexander tells Kazarian that he respects him in and out of the ring and that he is better than he has ever been right now. After Alexander signs the contract, Kazarian says he has nothing but respect for Alexander and that how he has carried himself as a man, a husband, a father and a champion and has inspired him. He says that he is sorry it had to be Alexander and that he is excited for their match nevertheless, but Alexander says he would not want it any other way. Kazarian says there will be hardships and disappointments and that they will start tomorrow night. When Kazarian tells Alexander to prepare for that disappointment, Alexander's wife tells him that they have been on a rollercoaster ride in the last year alone. When Kazarian tells her that this does not concern her, Alexander stands up for his wife and both men almost come to blows until Scott D'Amore stands between them. Kazarian, at this point having had signed the contract, then says that the contract is signed and that business will be handled tomorrow night.

Backstage, Frankie Kazarian apologizes to "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander for making things tense and that the respect has not changed, then Bully Ray shows up. He says it is good to see Kazarian again, then tells him and Alexander that he will call his shot on whoever wins. Kazarian says he has known Bully Ray long enough not to trust him, then Bully Ray wishes Kazarian luck and walks away. Alexander says that he is unfazed, and that even if Bully Ray is doing things the right way, he is still a threat. Kazarian tells Alexander not to treat Bully Ray like a regular opponent and to talk to Tommy Dreamer if he does not believe him, then says it will not matter when he wins the World title tomorrow.

Bullet Club ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey) beat Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis), the team of Mahabali Shera and Raj Singh and The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) in a four-way tag team match.

Backstage, Rosemary asks Taya Valkyrie where Jessicka is. She then shows Rosemary that Jessicka is on TikTok after saying she has not seen her since last week, then says that if Jessicka is not here tonight, she will take her place against Tasha Steelz. Taya then promises that Jessicka will be at Over Drive tomorrow.

In footage from last week, Jordynne Grace says Masha Slamovich learned nothing from losing to her, and that she is still standing just like at Bound For Glory. She says that if Masha wanted another title shot, all she had to do was ask, and if she wants to use weapons, that is fine with her. Jordynne then challenges Masha to a Last Woman Standing Match for the Knockouts World Championship at Over Drive.

Taya Valkyrie beats Tasha Steelz after Steelz tries to counter Road to Valhalla only for Taya to turn the counter into a sit-down pin. After the match, Steelz attacks Taya from behind, but Rosemary grabs her. Savannah Evans attacks Rosemary, and when Taya goes after Savannah, Tasha and Savannah come out on top in the ensuing brawl until Jessicka Havok shows up. Jessicka overpowers both Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans, then hugs Rosemary and Taya and raises their hands.

Backstage, "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander asks Tommy Dreamer about Bully Ray. Dreamer says that he and Bully have a weird bond, but he has forgiven him and is able to trust him, and that Alexander can trust him, too.

In backstage footage from last week, Trey Miguel says that when he is done getting his back adjusted after Kenny King's actions against him and "Speedball" Mike Bailey last week, he is taking back the X Division title.

Steve Maclin beats Tommy Dreamer in an Old School Rules Match. After the match, Maclin is about to hit Dreamer with a chair, but Bully Ray runs into the ring and punches Maclin. Moose rushes in and attacks Bully Ray, and Maclin joins in before setting up the table so that Moose can put Bully through it. Alexander then takes the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Trophy while Bully Ray holds the World Championship, which leads to a tense trade-off of both items.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Masha Slamovich. Slamovich tells Gia Miller in Russian that she knows nothing about fighting at all, and that she has beaten almost everyone in a year yet is asked about one single loss. She says it is only one day and one loss, then tells Gia Miller that she is not a fighter and that nobody understands what it takes to win. When asked what to expect in her rematch against Jordynne Grace at Over Drive, Slamovich simply says "Death."

Rich Swann beats Laredo Kid.

Backstage, Mickie James meets Taylor Wilde. Wilde tells Mickie that she got involved last week because she wanted Mickie to lose on her own merit, then tells her that if anyone is ending her career, it is going to be her.

We see a video package chronicling the events leading to Frankie Kazarian vs. "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander for the Impact Wrestling World Championship at Over Drive.

Despite being busted open by the rest of Violent By Design (Deaner, Alan Angels, Big Kon), Sami Callihan beats Eric Young in a Double Jeopardy Match. After the match, the rest of Violent By Design shows up and stare down at Eric Young to end the show.
