Generation NXT - NXT recap for November 15, 2022

Bron Breakker retains the NXT Championship against Von Wagner.

We hear from Alba Fyre, who says she is not NXT Women's Champion because of Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. She then says that since she has taken them out, Mandy Rose only has her burning a hole in her soul. She says that everything close to Mandy will burn down and that her toxic empire will come to an end when she is last woman standing and the new Women's Champion.

Backstage, Bron Breakker kneels down and is met by JD McDonagh. Breakker gets up as McDonagh congratulates him before reminding him that he will not be able to shake him.

Zoey Stark heads to the ring. Stark says her back feels so much lighter from not having to carry Nikkita Lyons another week, then talks about how she was on the shelf for nine months and came back to get an opportunity at Mandy Rose and the NXT Championship. She then says that she was called into a meeting and that everything would change, and that they wanted her to be in a tournament with Nikkita Lyons for the NXT Women's Championship against more experienced teams. Zoey says she knew she would have to do the heavy lifting but planned to do her best, but after her match with Mandy Rose, she was not medically cleared. She says that Nikkita Lyons tried to console her afterwards, but Nikkita saw that as being seen as the weak link. She says that after she came back, she carried Nikkita Lyons on her back, but all she got was "endless apologies instead of endless results," and when she held the women's tag team titles, she knew what she needed to: get rid of Nikkita. Zoey says she tried her hardest to help Nikkita and the new athletes, but the more time she gave, the more they clung and leeched off her. She says she is done of being part of the solution and is now a huge part of the problem. She says she did not get famous posing on the beach or dancing on social media; she says she got famous busting her ass in the ring. She also tells the fans who are cheering her own and nodding in agreement "Screw you," as they all happen to be fans of Nikkita Lyons. Zoey says NXT is no longer about the future; it is about her, for she is undeniable and she is the hunter while everyone else is the prey.

Backstage, Duke Hudson meets with Andre Chase. Duke Hudson tells Andre Chase he threw in the towel because he was in so much pain and he could not bear to watch, and because he wanted him to fight another day, for if he goes down, Chase U goes down. He says that if people think he cares too much about the university, then he is guilty as charged. After Thea Hail enters the room, Duke Hudson leaves, and Thea Hail admits that Duke Hudson has grown on her.

Backstage, Bron Breakker is met by Apollo Crews. Crews says he came back to NXT for the NXT Championship, and while he knows he is sore and tired, he asks Bron to watch him tonight, as when one challenge ends, another begins.

Indus Sher (Veer Mahaan and Sanga) beat George Cannon and Ariel Dominguez (whose name is not even mentioned). After the match, Veer Mahaan says that Indus Sher and the fans respect The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed), but Sanga says nobody respects them. Veer says they are treated like celebrities in India but are disrespected in America, and Sanga says they must do something about it. Backstage, Julius Creed says that Indus Sher want to make a name at their expense. Tatum Paxley and Ivy Nile say that they are over "the Damon Kemp hump" and can go for the NXT tag titles again, but Julius says they cannot let their challenge slide. Ivy says she gets it, but the Creeds are after the wrong people.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Wendy Choo, who says that Cora Jade will always be "a salty and petulant child" and has said things about her that are not true as well as things she has not heard since high school. She says that Cora wants to open old wounds, but she is wacky and likes to have fun, and after waiting for a week, she wants Cora Jade to look in the mirror after she gives her two black eyes.

Apollo Crews beats JD McDonagh. After the match, Bron Breakker shows up, and Bron Breakker and Apollo Crews have a staredown across the ring.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Mandy Rose. Mandy says she has heard every prediction in the book for the last year, but she still stands as Women's Champion because she is a "one in a billion" Superstar. She says that Alba Fyre will give it her all, but even without Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne, she will still be the last woman standing.

Backstage, Javier Bernal says he may be the new kid on the block, but he needs to seize opportunities instead of waiting for them, and he is issuing challenge. He then says that Axiom is a great competitor, but McKenzie Mitchell reminds him that Axiom is not medically cleared. He then challenges Ilja Dragunov, but McKenzie tells him that Dragunov is not medically cleared, either. He challenges Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang), but McKenzie tells him that they are suspended. Javier Bernal then says that McKenzie is part of the problem and holding him back.

Booker T moderates a contract signing between Carmelo Hayes and Wes Lee for their match for the NXT North American Championship in the ring. Carmelo and Trick Williams arrive first, followed by Wes Lee. Booker T says he is a fan of both wrestlers, and Carmelo says it is an honor to be part of Booker's "fave five." Wes Lee says Carmelo is the ex-champion and not the A-Champion, anymore. Carmelo says he has no doubt that Wes Lee will go to the limit to retain, yet Wes Lee's limit is where he pulls up and starts from, and his fifteen minutes will be over. Trick Williams says Wes Lee is good, but Carmelo is better, and that it will be Wes Lee's first and last title defense. When asked what he is wiling to do to remain champion, Wes Lee says he worked hard and took the hand he was dealt to get where he is. He says he got some inner peace by knocking Carmelo out and taking the North American title, and that he will risk everything to prove he is the new standard and keep the title. Carmelo signs the contract, as does Wes Lee. Trick Williams then brings up Wes Lee's head meeting a locker and Wes Lee says it is between "me and [his] meal ticket" now. Carmelo threatens to murder Wes, but Booker T tells them to save it for next week.

We hear from Justice Anthony, who says the truth is never simple unless he is sitting across the table, as he either gets the truth or beats it out of people. He says NXT is "a soft society," but that will soon change, for his environment is a product of him and hard justice is on its way.

Backstage, Odyssey Jones tells Malik Blade and Edris Enofe they will keep their momentum going. When asked about the sweater vest, Malik Blade talks about his father, who was a preacher who wore the finest clothes and that a sweater vest was the first thing his father bought for him. He then says that his father has since passed away, and that he wears a sweater vest in his father's memory.

The Schism (Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid) beat Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen after Kiana James confronts Fallon Henley only to get decked and land in Brooks Jensen's arms as The Schism lays Josh Briggs out for the win.

We hear from "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, who says that NXT is focused on the stars of tomorrow as well as innovation. He then introduces the "Iron Survivor Challenge." In this challenge, there will be two teams of five competing for the most falls by pinfall, submission or disqualification for twenty-five minutes. The winner of a fall gets a point, while the person getting pinned will sit in a penalty box for a time. There will be two matches - one for the men, one for the women - and the participants will be announced in the coming weeks.

Indi Hartwell beats Tatum Paxley after tearing Paxley's mask off and tossing it to Ivy Nile. After the match, we get another message from Scrypts, who says that nobody in the Performance Center can catch them and that next week, everyone will find out that Scrypts and NXT are not the same, and wants to know who will play a little game.

Backstage, Indi Hartwell is met by Roxanne Perez, who congratulates her on her match, then asks if tearing Tatum Paxley's mask off was going too far, as she could have broken her nose again. Indi says that she wants to be in the Iron Survivor Challenge, to which Roxanne replies that she wants in on the action, too. Indi states if she has to break Paxley's nose to do it, so be it.

Mandy Rose retains the NXT Women's Championship against Alba Fyre in a Last Woman Standing Match after Alba Fyre is knocked off a ladder and into the announce table after Isla Dawn suddenly shows up and spits mist into her face.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!
