Fyter Fest, Night Two - Dynamite recap for July 21, 2021

MJF guests on commentary for the next match.

Chris Jericho beats Shawn Spears in the First Labour of Jericho with the assist from Sammy Guevara, who confronts Tully Blanchard for distracting referee Aubrey Edwards on the ring apron as Shawn Spears taps out to the Walls of Jericho. (In this match, Shawn Spears could use a chair, but Chris Jericho could not.) After the match, MJF congratulates Jericho for winning his first match while mentioning the assist from Sammy Guevara, then says that if anyone else helps Jericho, their deal is off and Jericho does not get another match against him. He then says that the second match is a no-disqualification match against a man who does not mind breaking a few rules like Jericho: Nick Gage, who shows up with a pizza cutter.

We hear from Miro, who says that there have champions before him and that there will be none after him, for all will meet "The Redeemer" and be forgiven. Miro asks who can beat him.

"The Big LG" Doc Gallows beats Frankie Kazarian following the interference behind the referee's back by "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson. After the match, Gallows and Anderson attack Kazarian and hit him with the Magic Killer, then Kenny Omega and Don Callis show up. He says it is time for the fans to take a good look at Omega and hopes that the fans have taken a look at what happens when one messes with The Elite. Omega says that for months, Kazarian have been a thorn in his side. Omega then says that "The Elite Hunter" has become "The Elite Hunted" before Gallows and Anderson hold Kazarian down. Omega is about to hit a V-Trigger on Kazarian when "Hangman" Adam Page shows up with a cup of beer. Callis tells Page that he is a four-versus-one situation, and asks him if he is either stupid or drunk. Page gives Callis his beer, then fights Gallows, Anderson and Omega only to be outnumbered until The Dark Order rushes the ring. Callis and Omega flee as The Dark Order lay waste to Gallows and Anderson, with Anderson falling victim to the Buckshot Lariat.

Backstage, Dasha Gonzalez interviews "The Machine" Brian Cage following a message from Team Taz (Taz, "Absolute" Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Hook) where Ricky Starks says he will show up for a championship celebration next week. Cage says this works out for him, as he likes celebrations.

Darby Allin beats Wheeler Yuta. During the match, Bullet Club member Hikuleo is seen in the crowd, and Orange Cassidy and Sting have a ringside "brawl." After the match, Orange Cassidy is attacked from behind with brass knuckles by The Blade.

We see a video package for Lance Archer vs. Jon Moxley for the IWGP United States Championship in a Texas Death Match later tonight.

Hikuleo is seen in the crowd again.

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. retains the AEW Women's World Championship against "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose with the Lockjaw after both Nyla and Britt use Eddie Guerrero's trick of feigning being hit with the Women's World title.

In footage from earlier today, Tony Schiavone moderates a face-to-face meeting between FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Proud 'n Powerful (Santana and Ortiz). Dax Harwood says that while both teams are similar, he has no respect for Proud 'n Powerful, and Ortiz says they have been in AEW since day one. Santana pulls out some photos of his childhood to show FTR where he came from, and after Harwood says that FTR will beat Santana and Ortiz next week, both teams get in each others' faces and security has to step in.

Tony Schiavone interviews Andrade el Idolo in the ring. Andrade says he has a surprise for everyone in attendance tonight, then the man in the black suit that has accompanied him tells Schiavone something. Schiavone announces that Andrade's new executive consultant is Chavo Guerrero Jr., who shows up and heads to the ring. Chavo shows his appreciation that everyone remembers him, then says he has heard that AEW is the place to be and that when he walked around backstage, he could not believe the talent that was there, and says it is a great time to be a wrestling fan. He then says that he does not see anyone in the back who has as much as talent as Andrade, then Death Triangle (PAC, Penta el Zero M, Rey Fenix) shows up. PAC says he does not know who Andrade thinks he is after he mentioned Death Triangle last week, and lets it be known that Death Triangle hides from no one. Andrade thanks PAC for coming, and says that while Penta and Rey Fenix are good, they could be better, and Chavo says that he and Andrade could put gold around Penta and Fenix's waists. Andrade then asks them why they work for PAC, then tells them that they now work for him. PAC says Penta and Fenix don't work for him and that Death Triangle is a team, a family and a brotherhood. Rey Fenix tells Andrade that they are a family and the real face of the Latinos in AEW, while Penta asks why they would join Andrade when he is not on their level. Death Triangle run to the ring, but Andrade says that everyone works for him. Referees then show up to stop a potential brawl.

In footage from before the show, The Hardy Family Office attack Marko Stunt, and Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy and eventually Christian Cageshow up to even the numbers. We then hear from Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy and Christian, who says that he thought it was the end of it against Matt Hardy, but was proven wrong. He then challenges The Hardy Family Office to a match against him, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus next week to end everything for good.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews The Factory (QT Marshall, Aaron Solow, Nick Comoroto). QT Marshall says that Tony Schiavone disrespected them, but that Tony Schiavone will get an apology next week for the shake poured on his head last week.

Before the next match, Orange Cassidy sneaks up on The Blade as he demands he be given the win by forfeit, and the match begins.

Orange Cassidy beats The Blade despite The Bunny tossing brass knuckles to The Blade. After the match, Orange Cassidy takes The Blade's brass knuckles and hits him with a loaded Orange Punch.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Chris Jericho, who says that MJF will bring in a violent and demented Nick Gage, then next week, he will bring in the most violent and demented version of himself to next week's match. Jericho then turns around to reveal he is in his "Painmaker" persona.

We see a vignette for Malakai Black vs. "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes at AEW Homecoming on August 4th.

Lance Archer beats Jon Moxley in a Texas Death Match to win the IWGP United States Championship for the second time after choke slamming Moxley through two barbed wire boards on top of two tables. After the match, Hikuleo shows up and stares down Lance Archer in the ring.
