Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for January 29, 2020

Jon Moxley shows up through the crowd to start tonight's show. He says it was around the time he was stabbed in the eye with a spike that it occurred to him that the fun and games with Chris Jericho were over, and now he faces Jericho for the AEW World Championship at Revolution. He says that Jericho is the final obstacle between himself and the top of the mountain in AEW, but it is not just a wrestling match for him; it is also about The Inner Circle being with him as well, as Jericho is the guy to orchestrate five-on-one gang-style beatdowns and hides behind his men as he tried to take his eyesight, injure "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes, maim "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, steal Rey Mysterio's mask and even punch a woman. Moxley then admits he is far from perfect, as he is no hero, role model or saint, but he makes sure that he can look at himself in the mirror at the end of the day, as money and championship means nothing if he has no honor or a code to live by. He says he does not know what guy Jericho sees when he sees himself in the mirror, but he knows that he sees insecure egomaniac, a manipulator, a liar, a coward and a bully, and he hates bullies. He says that at Revolution, Jericho will have a target on his head, but he will not blink, flinch or hesitate as he takes the AEW World Championship from Jericho, for it is not about the kind of man Jericho is, but the kind of man he is not. He then says that will be if Jericho even makes to Revolution, as he will not the patience to watch his back for the rest of The Inner Circle. He decides they might as well get it over with now as he tells Jericho to take his beating like a man. Jericho shows up and says it makes him laugh when he hears Moxley talk about all he has done, and says that all Moxley has earned is a spike to the eye, as all he had to do was join The Inner Circle. Jericho then says he apologized to Moxley's mother for what happened to Moxley, then says it was all Moxley's fault, as he offered him "the keys to the kingdom" only to have a bottle smashed over his head. He tells Moxley that if he wants to challenge him for the AEW World Championship, despite not having what it takes to blink both eyes, Moxley will have to wait, as Cleveland, Ohio does not deserve to see him compete one-on-one. He then brings out the rest of The Inner Circle. Moxley tells Jericho that their plans of a five-on-one beatdown is really them against him and the fans, and he likes his odds. Jericho calls Moxley "a stupid son-of-a-bitch just like everyone from Ohio," and says Moxley is stupid enough to take them all one at once, and he decides to bring out some street punks courtesy of Santana and Ortiz. Jericho then says it is now a ten-on-one beatdown before walking down the ramp in a group. Moxley headbutts Ortiz and DDT's him, then charges at everyone else. Security and referees quickly move in to break up the brawl, and a member of security gets DDT'd on the floor before Moxley escapes through the crowd.

We see footage of MJF and Wardlow entering The Butcher and The Blade's butcher shop. MJF and Wardlow hand The Bunny an envelope with the words "Young Bucks" on it, and The Butcher, The Blade and The Bunny all go from wearing work clothing to their wrestling gear.

MJF and Wardlow guest on commentary for the next match.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) beat The Butcher and The Blade. After the match, The Butcher and The Blade regroup and attack The Young Bucks, then Kenny Omega runs in and hits The Butcher with a V-Trigger. "Hangman" Adam Page shows up with a beer in his hand, asks Matt Jackson to hold his beer, then hits The Blade with the Buckshot Lariat before taking his beer back and leaving.

"The Native Beast" Nyla Rose beats Big Swole.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes beats "Superbad" Kip Sabian. During the match, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson gets ejected from ringside after bumping into the referee as he confronts him for not laying down the line when it comes to Penelope Ford's distractions, and "The Bad Boy" Joey Janela comes between a kiss between Sabian and Penelope in the front row near the entrance ramp.

Tony Schiavone interviews Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. on the stage. Baker tells Jim Ross not to interrupt her when she speaks ever again, and accuses him of being smug and pretentious towards the women's division. She then says the women's division is hers, as she was the first woman signed to AEW and she is the one on all the billboards, and says she will be here every week unlike Riho. Baker then pretentiously diagnoses Schiavone with moderate to severe gingivitis and tells him to "pick up a damn toothbrush," then tells the Cleveland, Ohio fans that they finally have a Baker they can trust in before heading to the back.

Backstage, Lexi interviews Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson). The Bucks are happy to have won tonight, and while they have other matters, their main objective is to climb back up to the top of the tag team rankings and get a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships. "Hangman" Adam Page shows up and says he and Omega got their name plates, then hands The Young Bucks their name plates before leaving. Omega then says that he got them and Page an eight-man tag match against The Butcher, The Blade and a team of their choosing next week.

SoCal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) beat TheHybrid2 (Jack Evans and Angelico). We hear from The Dark Order on the video screen. Evil Uno says that The Exalted One is upset with Christopher Daniels and has told The Dark Order to target his friends in So CalSoCal Uncensored. After entertaining which one to upset first, he tells SoCal Uncensored that this is their warning.

We hear from PAC, who says that a moving vessel is no place for competition, and that AEW should hang their heads in shame. He also says that Jon Moxley has made his bed so he can lie in it, and tells him to have fun with Chris Jericho so he can pluck his other eyeball out if there is anything of him left. He also says that it took Kenny Omega long enough to hear him, and says it is his arrogance and audacity that he really cannot stand. PAC then states that everything will be done on his timetable starting next week, and that he is coming for blood.

Next week: "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes takes ten lashes from MJF! Jon Moxley vs. Ortiz! Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. vs. the debuting Yuka Sakazaki! The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), Kenny Omega and "Hangman" Adam Page vs. The Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix), The Butcher and The Blade!

The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Santana, Ortiz) beat Darby Allin and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy). After the match, The Inner Circle run back into the ring and attack the other team, and Sammy Guevara attacks Allin with his own skateboard, driving it into his gut before trying to crush Allin's windpipe with it. As Guevara goes up top with the skateboard, Jon Moxley shows up with a baseball and fights off The Inner Circle to end the show.
