Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne. Riddle says he and Dunne will make history, and Dunne says tonight is the chance to redeem himself and win the Dusty Cup after coming up short last year, even if it means snapping Zack Gibson's fingers.

The numbers 5, 20 and 2 appear on the screen.

Shotzi Blackheart beats Deonna Purrazzo. Before the match, Shotzi Blackheart comes out riding a tiny tank, and after the match, she drives back to the back in it.

Keith Lee shows up. He talks about how he told The Undisputed Era that he would take the NXT North American Championship from them, and with the title in his possession, he is not only a moment maker or a game changer, he is also a "prophecy ender." Before he can announce what he has planned next, Damian Priest shows up. Damian says that he likes taking things that are meaningful to him, whether it be a group of women or a prized possession, and that he always gets what he wants and he wants the North American Championship. Dominik Dijakovic then shows up, saying they have had their fair share of battles and that Lee is deserving of the North American title. He then says it will be him to challenge Lee first and not "bootleg Marilyn Manson." Keith Lee leaves as Dijakovic and Priest argue, and as Dijakovic tells Lee to come back, Priest hits Dijakovic in the face. A referee shows up, starting the next match.

Ciampa then grabs a table and takes it with him to the ring, where he sets it up before spray painting a yellow X on it. Meanwhile, the scene backstage is on the video screen, and Adam Cole finds out what is going on. Cole says nobody should feel sorry for Ciampa and that he has no right to attack his teammates, but Ciampa says that he never lost the NXT Championship and that tonight, Cole will get in the ring so he can whup his ass and put him through the table.
