Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 4, 2019

Roman Reigns shows up to start tonight's show. Roman says that last week was the comeback, and that this week, he and the fans take the yard back. He says that he has thought about his future and what he wants, and right now, he wants Seth Rollins in the ring. Roman asks Seth to come to the ring, and Seth shows up. Seth says that seeing Roman coming to the ring last week having won the fight of his life was one of the best moments of his own career, and made him feel like he could do anything. He says that he plans to take the inspiration and motivation to beat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship and bring it back to Raw, but he also knows where Roman's head is at. Having had a title and being forced to vacate it, Seth knows that Roman is deserving of a match against Lesnar for the Universal title, and asks to talk about it. Roman says that while he was gone, one person watched over this place, kept it in line and knew what was best, and it was Seth. He says nobody has more confidence in Seth than him, as he knows Seth has what it takes. Roman then wishes Seth good luck at WrestleMania, then asks for a favor: he wants to get The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) back together one more time. Roman then wishes Seth good luck at WrestleMania, then asks for a favor: he wants to get The Shield back together one more time. He says that life is not guaranteed and family is most important, and he wants some memories as part of The Shield before The Shield cannot be a thing anymore. Seth says he has put The Shield behind him, but that Roman is also right, and that life is too short and nothing is guaranteed. He says that is Roman wants it, he's got it. Roman then asks Dean Ambrose to come to the ring. Dean Ambrose shows up, but before he can say anything, Elias shows up and hits Dean from behind with a guitar. Seth and Roman chase Elias to the back before checking on Dean. When Dean gets back up, he pushes Seth away before heading to the back.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Drew McIntyre, who is surrounded by Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin and Lio Rush. McIntyre says he broke The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) months ago, and says this reunion makes him sick. Corbin says that the three of them will win tonight and show where today's power lies, and that it is not with Braun Strowman. Lashley says that Finn Balor is on borrowed time with the Intercontinental Championship, and Corbin says that Kurt Angle cannot hang with the wrestlers of today.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis). We see some footage of the rest of the Raw tag team division talking about Heavy Machinery in the locker room, with The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) continuing to mock Otis. Backstage, Stephanie McMahon is met by Michael Che and Colin Jost of Saturday Night Live, who are the special guest correspondents for WrestleMania 35.

WWE COO Triple H shows up. Before he speaks, we see an Instagram video from Batista, saying he is not at Raw tonight because he does not like Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and that the game will be played by his rules, as he says that the game is over. Triple H says he had an opportunity to bring out of the greatest men in the history of the business for the fans and sing his praises after spending years on the road with him through the best and worst of times. He also talks about "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's hospital scare from last year and how he dreaded picking up the phone and hearing he was no longer living. After saying that he wanted to bring out Ric Flair one more time to let him be "The Nature Boy" one last time, he then says that Batista wanted his attention, then calls Batista a quitter for leaving when he did not get his way before calling him out for attacking Flair. He then says he does not care what Batista wants to do or how Batista wants to do it, for he will come to him if he has to and he will be waiting for him, and all Batista has to do is show up. Triple H then says that this is for real, and when Batista stands face-to-face to him, he will be looking at the real him, not the character. He says that if Batista wants his attention, he's got it.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Stephanie McMahon, who says Charlotte Flair is being a bit presumptuous about being the new queen and that "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey has committed "an act of blasphemy" with the WWE Raw Women's Championship. Stephanie then announces that Becky Lynch is no longer suspended and that all charges against her are dopped, and that she has been invited to the arena to sign a hold harmless agreement should something happen to her in Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair for the WWE Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania, as she is not at 100%.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Charlotte Flair, who says that Becky Lynch will sign on the dotted line, as she is arrogant and thinks she will be the next champion. She then says Becky does not compare to her. She says that Becky was crushed when she was suspended, but after she is done with her, Becky will be on the shelf for good, as she is a one-legged competitor in an ass-kicking contest and the fans will bask in her glory when she wins.

Backstage, Seth Rollins talks with Dean Ambrose, who tells Dean that they have been and always will be brothers, and that they have only one shot to do things the right way. Dean tells Seth that he is pre-occupied right now and that he has business to tend to in the ring right now, and that he has to do it on his own.

Elias is in the ring. He performs a song where he mocks Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and all their sports teams. This continues until Dean Ambrose shows up for the next match.

Elias beats Dean Ambrose after Dean's back gives out. After the match, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns show up. After the commercial break, Seth and Roman get in the ring with Dean, who leaves through the crowd without entertaining the idea of a Shield reunion. Before Dean fully leaves, however, Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley show up. Corbin tells Seth and Roman to give it up, and Drew says The Shield are just three stray dogs fighting for scraps on their table. McIntyre says that Seth and Roman are pathetic and undeserving of a six-man tag match at WrestleMania, and that they will end this now. McIntyre, Corbin and Lashley then surround the ring. Dean runs back out of the crowd and into the ring to make the save for Seth and Roman, and with his help, McIntyre, Lashley and Corbin are overpowered. During the match, Bobby Roode and Chad Gable show up, and they attack Dash Wilder when he is taken out of the ring. Stephanie McMahon shows up with the WWE Raw Women's Championship and the hold harmless agreement. She says anything can happen on the road to WrestleMania, such as the return of Roman Reigns and the reformation of The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns), or "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey vacating the Raw Women's title weeks before WrestleMania. Stephanie then brings out Charlotte Flair, who shows up, followed by Becky Lynch, who also shows up. Stephanie asks Becky Lynch to sign the hold harmless agreement, and Charlotte tells Becky to sign it unless she wants to hand the Raw Women's title over to her. Becky says she beat Charlotte before on one good leg, and they can go at it again. Stephanie stops Becky, asking her to sign the agreement so the two of them can go at it at Fastlane. Becky signs, then "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey is seen entering the arena and heading to the ring. After the commercial break, Ronda makes her way to the ring. Stephanie says Ronda had no title, but Ronda says she did not vacate anything and asks for Becky to be included, not herself to be excluded. She asks for the Raw Women's title back, and gets it. Stephanie says Charlotte vs. Becky at Fastlane is still on. If Becky loses, she is done; if Becky wins, the Raw Women's title match at WrestleMania will be a Triple Threat Match with Becky included. Ronda tells Stephanie that she values money and pride over anything else, and says she did everything she possibly could to respect the business. She says she is done pretending to be an entertainer, then beats up Becky and Charlotte. Ronda gets Becky in an armbar as Charlotte gets out of the ring, then Ronda proceeds to attack Becky. As Ronda goes for another armbar, Charlotte tries to get back into the ring but is seen by Ronda. Ronda then puts Becky in a third armbar, then raises up the Raw Women's title up. Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Stephanie McMahon, who says that "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey just showed her true colors and proved she is the animal she said she was. She says she cannot wait to see what happens at WrestleMania, as Ronda will get what is coming to her.
