Generation NXT UK - NXT UK recap for March 27, 2019

Jordan Devlin beats Dan Moloney.

Kassius Ohno shows up. He says management told him to come out to the ring and make an apology, and he hates it when it comes off as rehearsed, fake and scripted. He says that he wants to speak from the heart, then reads from his phone as he apologizes to Ashton Smith. He then apologizes to his family while still reading from him phone, then says he just couldn't help himself and says it was gratifying and fulfilling to take away someone's consciousness over and over again, and that this is why he came to NXT UK. He says he could have gone anywhere, but he chose NXT UK because NXT UK chose him and asked him to make his presence felt, which is what he did. Afterwards, he couldn't help but notice "The Kiwi Buzzsaw" Travis Banks play the hero and "imitate British wrestling." He says he did not travel halfway across the world to involve himself with Banks, as his eyes are set on the bigger things, and states that if Banks were in the ring with him, he would find himself busted and broken to bits.

We see a vignette for "The Bomber" Dave Mastiff, which shows footage of him taking place in various training videos and feats of strength.

In two weeks: Jinny vs. Toni Storm for the NXT UK Women's Championship!

We see footage from earlier this week of Jinny in India, who says she has been chosen to represent NXT UK in India because she is better than Toni Storm, and while Storm has the gold, she will take it from her because the world needs a hero and Storm isn't it.

Rhea Ripley beats Xia Brookside. After the match, Ripley says the NXT UK women's division has failed to learn that they will get ripped apart when they step in the ring with her. She says that Brookside talks tough, but she showed her a true nightmare. As for the rest of the division, she proclaims herself to be the most dominant woman in NXT UK. Suddenly, Piper Niven - from last year's Mae Young Classic - shows up and gets in the ring while Ripley gets out. Niven then tells Ripley she isn't the most dominant woman in NXT UK anymore.

Backstage, Radzi interviews Isla Dawn, who is excited to see a fellow Scotswoman on the roster. Kay Lee Ray shows up and says she's here to take on the rest of the competition, not to make friends.

We get a special look at Walter.

Backstage, Radzi interviews Trent Seven, who says that while he is proud of Tyler Bate, but he is a little bit miffed that Joe Coffey called him "dead weight." He knows that he has the fans behind him, and he will wait for Coffey's challenge.

We hear from Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel. Barthel says it is the fans' fault that people find humor in anything in the wrestling business and that there is nothing funny about them. Aichner says they are hear to change NXT UK, and if they have to bring down "The Lucky Yin" Kenny William and Amir Jordan, so be it. Barthel says there is more to NXT UK than the fans think to the point that he considers NXT UK sacred.

Mark Andrews vs. Noam Dar ends in a no-contest when neither man can continue. During the match, one of Andrews' knees is injured following a knee bar shortly after being tossed into steel steps on the outside, and when he goes for a reverse hurricanrana, he slips and Dar's knee is potential re-injured. Both Mark Andrews and Noam Dar are helped to the back by medical staff, and both men give two thumbs up before being carried to the backstage area.

Next week: Isla Dawn vs. Kay Lee Ray! Trent Seven vs. Joe Coffey!

General Manager Johnny Saint and Assistant Sid Scala show up to moderate the contract signing for the WWE United Kingdom Championship match between Walter and Pete Dunne at NXT TakeOver: New York. Walter is introduced, followed by Pete Dunne. Dunne and Walter stare down briefly before sitting at the table, then Sid Scala calls their match the biggest match in NXT UK's history and the match British wrestling has been clamoring for for years. Walter moves the microphone when asked if he has anything to say at this time, and simply signs the contract for the match. Dunne tells Walter he doesn't have to say anything, as it is not just the fans who want this match, for he wants the match as well. He claims that Walter will know what everyone else has known for the past 674 days: that NXT UK belongs to him and that the WWE United Kingdom Championship is and always will be his. He then signs the contract. As Dunne walks away, Walter addresses him on the microphone, and says something to him in German before saying he could put him through the table in the ring right now if he wanted to, but he does not need to do that to prove his point. He tells Dunne his time is up, and in New York City, the reign of the Bruiserweight will end, for the title is his.
