Generation NXT - NXT recap for March 6, 2019

Ricochet and Aleister Black beat Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel to advance to the semi-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

In footage from earlier this week at the Performance Center, Dominik Dijakovic threatens to fight Keith Lee and has to be held back. Dijakovic and Lee will have their rematch in two weeks.

The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake) beat Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch to advance to the semi-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic after hurting Lorcan's back.

Velveteen Dream shows up. He stands on the announce table, then reminds everyone that he is the new NXT North American Champion, but before he can say much else, Matt Riddle shows up. Riddle says he's here to say hello and congratulate him on his recent title victory, but he also wants a closer look at the North American title. Now that he has, he says he cannot help but wonder how it would look around his waist one day. Velveteen Dream says Riddle must be on cloud nine today, for he is not Riddle's "bro" and the spotlight - which he shines on himself on command with the snap of his fingers - belongs to him.

In footage from earlier today, Io Shirai says Bianca Belair is good, but she has yet to beat "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler. Kairi Sane says she and Shirai want NXT gold, but she believes Shirai can beat Bianca. Shirai says her destiny is to be the champion, and says that compared to Bianca, she has already proven she is the best. Shirai and Belair will square off in a #1 contender's match for the NXT Women's Championship next week.

Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven) beat Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) to advance to the semi-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Before the next match, #DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) come out to their individual entrance before entering the ring to the original #DIY entrance theme and being announced as #DIY.

#DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) beat The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) to advance to the semi-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. After the match, War Raiders (Hanson and Rowe) show up and stare down #DIY from the stage to end the show.
