Against All Odds - Impact Wrestling recap for March 29, 2019

Before the next match, Konnan says that while both teams in this match are family to him, that he saw everything that led to this match coming a mile away and that this needs to stop. He says there is no better time to fight than now. The Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Fenix) runs into the ring to brawl with The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz). Security rushes into the ring and breaks the brawl up, but they are quickly laid out. LAX comes out on top in the brawl after putting The Lucha Bros. through tables, and raise up the tag team titles before leaving.

Backstage, The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) say it's about more than the tag team titles; it is about respect and honor. Konnan challenges The Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Fenix) to Full Metal Mayhem for the tag team titles at Rebellion.

Before the next match, Glenn Gilberti tells "The Smoke Show" Scarlett Bordeaux that there is no shame in having second thoughts about the match and gives her an opportunity to call the match off. Scarlett Bordeaux shows up and Gilberti gives her a chance to call the match off, but Scarlett tells him "Shut up and wrestle, turkey boy." Gilberti then says it is time to prove that a woman cannot beat a man.

"The Smoke Show" Scarlett Bordeaux beats Glenn Gilberti.

Backstage, Melissa Santos interviews Taya Valkyrie and Johnny Impact. Taya says she has watched what Jordynne Grace has been doing in Impact, and while she is strong, Jordynne is not as strong as she is. Taya says she will leave as champion, then Johnny says he will watch Killer Kross break "The Machine" Brian Cage, saying that it would be a shame if Cage was concussed again.

Backstage, Kiera Hogan and Alisha Edwards call Glenn Gilberti a loser.

It is announced that Johnny Impact refuses to take part in Team Impact Wrestling vs. Team Lucha Underground at United We Stand, and will instead be in the Ultimate X Match at the event.

The GWN Flashback Moment of the week is Rob Van Dam vs. "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on April 19, 2010.

We see a vignette for "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander.

Backstage, Melissa Santos interviews Tessa Blanchard. She says that Gail Kim has no other choice to do what has to be done after she has the company by the balls, and that Gail Kim is getting exactly what she deserves. She says that legends come and go, but that diamonds are forever. She then heads to the ring to demand Gail Kim's apology.

We see some clips from Rob Van Dam's documentary "Headstrong."

We see another vignette of a person in a hoodie training. This person is Madison Rayne, who is returning to Impact Wrestling to settle some unfinished business.

We hear from The Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Fenix). Pentagon Jr. tells Konnan that if he wants a rematch, he will get it after having crossed a line. Fenix says that they will win one more time for they are the best tag team on the planet.

Tessa Blanchard shows up. She says that today is a great day as it is the day that she gets what she deserves: "Justice for Tessa." She then demands that Gail Kim come to the ring, and Gail Kim shows up. Tessa demands an apology from Gail Kim, and Gail Kim says she is sorry for attacking her and costing her the Knockouts Championship, then Tessa demands that Gail Kim announce her resignation from Impact Wrestling. Gail Kim says that she has given her resignation to Impact Wrestling, and Tessa says there is no hard feelings before apologizing that in her era, she and her friends are known for fluff matches while she is the main event and that Gail Kim could not could not lace her boots. However, she is not sorry for not having to see her face again, and tells her to leave. Gail Kim then announces that she is resigning under the condition that she is coming out of retirement to kick her ass before almost immediately taking Tessa down.

Gail Kim vs. Tessa Blanchard is official for Rebellion.

We hear from oVe (Sami Callihan, Jake Crist, Dave Crist), who are seen hypnotizing and torturing Madman Fulton to brainwash him into "the monster he was always meant to be" before confirming him as an official member.

Jordynne Grace beats Taya Valkyrie by count-out after Johnny Impact shows up to help her to the back as Taya complains that her ribs hurt from missing a top rope moonsault. Taya Valkyrie retains the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Championship. After the match, "The Machine" Brian Cage shows up and stalks Johnny around the ring. Taya gets back in the ring but is laid out by Grace, and Johnny uses Taya as a shield to protect himself from Cage.Suddenly, Cage is grabbed and attacked from behind by Killer Kross.

Killer Kross beats "The Machine" Brian Cage following interference from Johnny Impact and Taya Valkyrie and despite Cage kicking out just before the three-count. After the match, Johnny further attacks Cage's arm - which was worked on by Kross during the match - with a steel chair.

Rosemary takes Allie - who is wearing a leash connected to a long chain - to the Undead Realm. Despite being told not to come back to the realm, Kiera Hogan is seen following them there. It is not long before Rosemary and Allie are in an arena with a wrestling ring, and inside the ring is Father James Mitchell. Mitchell says he is just setting the table for her to see "the boss." Suddenly, Lucha saurus (also known as Vibora) gets in the ring, and Rosemary fights him as a group of undead watch. Rosemary manages to use a wrench that Luchasaurus/Vibora tires to use as a weapon, then the undead get in the ring. Rosemary is forced to fight them with a machete that she has brought with her when it gets dangerous. Kiera Hogan is here at this point, and she picks up a sword to hand to Rosemary. Rosemary fells a slew of undead maids of honor, then Rosemary tells Kiera she warned her. Kiera says she is with Rosemary until the end. Su Yung is then seen next to Allie, who disconnects the chain from Allie's leash before she and Allie fight Kiera and Rosemary. Allie almost stabs Rosemary, but Rosemary fights her off. Su Yung then goes for a Mandible Claw on Rosemary, who fights free. Before Rosemary can slay Su Yung, "the boss" shows up. The boss is Kevin Sullivan, who tells Rosemary that she, of all people, knows how this ends. Rosemary demands Allie's soul, and Sullivan tells Rosemary she is nothing but a servant and that all she has done is for nil. As Father James Mitchell holds Kiera Hogan hostage, Su Yung - who is now wearing a glove much like Freddy Kreuger's - stabs Allie in the throat as Allie pushes Rosemary out of the way. Allie is no longer possessed, and she says that she is whole again before flashing white and disappearing. Rosemary cries, and the show ends.

Here are the top five moments from tonight's show!
