Tonight's show begins with Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan watching last week's main event. So is James Ellsworth, who is sick with a cold and sneezes on Daniel Bryan. As he is sick, his WWE World Championship title shot is postponed. Both Shane and Daniel want James to go home, which he does. Daniel then takes a palmful of hand sanitizer.
It's time for Miz TV with special guest AJ Styles. Styles jokes that James Ellsworth has come down with "chinfluenza," and says that sooner or later, he will destroy Ellsworth in the middle of the ring. When asked about having to defend the WWE Championship (formerly the WWE World Championship) against Ellsworth, he simply laughs before running down what he's done so far in WWE before saying he will destroy Ellsworth, and says he is the most prestigious champion on SmackDown Live right now. The Miz reminds him that he has yet to beat Ellsworth, and that he himself beat Dean Ambrose last week. Miz says that Styles has proclaimed that nobody on his level while saying that he himself is above it. Chairs are pushed to the side as they prepare to fight, then Dean Ambrose shows up followed by Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler says Miz and Styles can't beat matches without cheating, and accuses Miz of "hiding behind Maryse's skirt." The Miz gets in the ring only to get put out. Ambrose lays out Ziggler with Dirty Deeds, then Luke Harper suddenly appears in the ring and lays Ambrose out with a clothesline to end tonight's Miz TV.
AJ Styles shows up backstage, asking Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan for protection from everyone gunning for the WWE Championship. They then announce that there will be a Fatal Four-Way Elimination Match later tonight between Dean Ambrose, Dolph Zigger, The Miz and Luke Harper, with the winner getting a shot at the WWE Championship next week. If anyone not directly involved in the match - Maryse, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton or anyone else - interferes, that will lead to an elimination for the person they are assisting.
Nikki Bella guests on commentary before the next match.
Before the next match, Natalya tries to tell Nikki Bella that she did not attack her at Survivor Series, but Carmella shows up before she can do it.
Carmella beats Natalya with a roll-up as Natalya is distracted with Nikki Bella as she tells her she didn't attack her at Survivor Series.
John Cena returns to SmackDown Live in two weeks.
Apollo Crews chats with comedian Gabriel Iglesias when The Miz and Maryse tell them to shut up as Miz is mentally preparing for a movie role. Iglesias gets the last laugh, making fun of The Miz' fashion choices as well as his use of "au revoir."
The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley) win a tag team battle royal to become #1 contenders for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
We see a Baron Corbin vignette.
Before the next match, Alexa Bliss cuts off Greg Hamilton, says she doesn't do "charity cases" like Becky Lynch, and sucker punches Deonna Purrazzo, who is supposed to be her opponent tonight. Becky Lynch gets in the ring, wanting her rematch. She gets her rematch, but not tonight. As Alexa leaves the ring, Shane McMahon shows up and says that's not how things are done on SmackDown Live, and says the championship rematch is up next.
Becky Lynch beats Alexa Bliss by count-out when Alexa tweaks her knee and can't get back in the ring, but Alexa Bliss retains the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship. Becky Lynch gives Alexa another beatdown, and we find out that Alexa was faking it just to keep her title.
We get a behind-the-scenes look at the new USA original series Shooter, starring Randy Orton.
AJ Styles guests on commentary for the next match.

"The Outlandish" Rich Swann announces he will be taking on TJ Perkins tonight on 205 Live.
AJ Styes shows up on Talking Smack. Despite Dolph Ziggler winning a shot at the WWE Championship, James Ellsworth still has a title shot. Styles still considers all of Ellsworth's victories flukes, as Dean Ambrose has helped him every single time. AJ admits he doesn't know much about Luke Harper, and that nobody else really knows anything about him. He says that Dolph Ziggler is good, but not phenomenal like him. As for the status on his ankle, he's ready to go.
The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) appear on Talking Smack, where Jey Uso announces that he has an ankle injury. It is also mentioned that Zack Ryder may be injured as well, but it has not yet been confirmed. They believe that they have the best chance against The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, Luke Harper), and argue that they might as well get a shot at the SmackDown tag titles.
Alexa Bliss appears on Talking Smack. She has not gotten with the trainer yet, and has no idea how her knee is doing as she has spent time trying to elevate it in the locker room. General Manager Daniel Bryan questions whether her knee is actually hurt, due to her kicking Becky Lynch with the bad leg. Alexa says she has to take care of herself, now that she is the locker room leader of the SmackDown Live Women's Division.
