Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for December 17, 2016

Kyle O'Reilly shows up to start the show. He says that the ROH World Championship has proven time and again that ROH has the best wrestling on the planet and that it proves that he is the planet's best wrestler. He plans to defend the title with honor and integrity like past champions have done. He calls Final Battle a moment he will never forget and will never have taken away from him, then Adam Cole shows up saying that Kyle O'Reilly should be apologizing for the travesty that he says he caused, rather than celebrating, as the match with changed to no-disqualification with chains, tables and thumbtacks. He calls O'Reilly a joke of a champion, and calls his victory a fluke. Suddenly, Dalton Castle shows up, congratulates Kyle O'Reilly, then mentions that "this peacock has been left out of the competition" as he is a very dangerous man in the ring and that he pinned Cole while he was still ROH World Champion. Dalton Castle then declares himself next in line for the title, then Bobby Fish shows up. Fish says that O'Reilly has made good on every promise he made concerning Cole and the World title, and that he has a title shot coming his way due to being the 2016 Survival of the Fittest winner. Cole says he could care less what Fish or Castle think, and says O'Reilly's reign will not last much longer as he will become the next three-time ROH World Champion. O'Reilly tells Cole that as long as there is a breath of air in his lungs, he will defend the title to the very end, and if anyone wants to take the title from him, good luck.

Nigel McGuinness announces that due to recent events, tonight's main event will be Adam Cole and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs. Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish and Dalton Castle.

"The Almighty" Christopher Daniels beats Mark Briscoe to advance to the next round of the Decade of Excellence Tournament, which features wrestlers who debuted in Ring of Honor 10 years ago and gives the winner a shot at the ROH World Championship at the 15th Anniversary Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Before the next match, Kenny King says that The Rebellion (King, Rhett Titus, Caprice Coleman) they are here to turn Ring of Honor upside down, and while they love Ring of Honor like the rest of the fans, they've always had the stones to do what they want to do. King then asks Lio Rush to join their cause, but Rush says he stands for respect, integrity and honor. Caprice says he's "just like the rest of them," and promises to beat him like he stole something from him. Lio Rush then beats Caprice Coleman with a schoolboy pin in record time, and The Rebellion respond by annihilating Rush. Jay White and Donovan Dijak then rush into the ring and chase The Rebellion away.

Next week: Jay Briscoe takes on BJ Whitmer in the Decade of Excellence Tournament.

Dalton Castle and reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) beat Adam Cole and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson).
